Hook Spawns and Breaking
There has been a two fold problem for quite a long time now and is quite unhealthy for the game.
- Hook spawns in generally. Many times, especially on the indoor maps hooks will spawn where you have none in reach to hook someone. That is without any hooks broken mind you, just spawn logic in general.
- Hooks permanently breaking on death. An outdated mechanic.
You should never not be able to hook someone with zero interaction from survivors. It should require a sabo, body blocks, or perks in effect.
This is a recurring problem where survivors will realize there is a dead zone from either problem 1 or 2 and continue to run over there to go down giving you no recourse.
Please fix this problem.

Just leave them slug
Then you just committed a long hold w chase to gain literally nothing and lose at least a gen. Oh and the person is also either getting up with Unbreakable or 1 person will pick them up while you still have 2 sitting on gens.
Against good survivors and on an m1 killer that isn't a counter play. You don't have time to hold w through an entire 2 health states into the middle of no where and away from gens to gain nothing.
If they fix point 1, hopefully that removes point 2 as an issue.
That's a definite possibility.
I remember a match on Midwitch about a week ago where all survivors would always run back to the same room to go down because they knew I had no chance to make it to a hook. In EGC they complained about me slugging them.
Like, what was I supposed to do?!
What maps you guys getting? I can sab a hook and the killer walks 6 feet to another hook.
Midwich and Game are the worst offenders, some other bad ones like Red Forest though.
