I will add that I play both sides and has exclusively started off as survivor because originally, I only had an interested in playing survivor since I wanted a horror experience((That's not what I got but that's a story for another day)). I had the same mindset you did, but worse until I started playing killer. For me, it isn't the nerfs or the changes the developers put into the game but it is the complete disregard and perspective by the community so this bares repeating: Killers are forced to obey a set of rules set upon them by the competition. Otherwise you will be punished at the end of the match by shame or harassment at the end of the match. I won't even get started on the fact that there are players that know this and are aware of it then they weaponize it against the killer.
You have four other players doing this and there's one you. There's also the fact that there are valid criticisms regarding the game from killers only to be dismissed by not only other players but sometimes the Trusted members and the Mods themselves, I have lurked this website for about a year or so before joining and that's what I witnessed. Hell there's literally nothing a killer could do or any character they can play that isn't considered "cheap" or "brain dead" and that's exhausting. Wanting to enjoy a game while others dictate how you do it is a turn off. Granted I feel some killers could want some pretty ridiculous things too like removing the hatch. But the amount of care you have to take to ensure others have fun at your own detriment seems to be a sacrifice only killers have to make. The developers should be responsible for that by giving us a rather tight and fluid experience.
If you want to know why there seems to be an irrational mistrust towards survivors, I'd start looking there. I did. I call out other survivors when they are harassing a player, I do it when I am killer towards other survivors that single out one of their own unfairly.

I'll admit maybe two of my past discussions have been "us vs them" but that is out of frustration and I've been thinking about this alot this isnt even about us vs them if I didnt make that clear now in my initial post I'll make it clear now I want the community to come together.
Then do that by following your own advice. Maybe even make that the title of your post next time instead of going after a single demographic.

I did a post asking why he's so bias, and I agree a lot of people were saying he's pretty biased, but some of them were giving support to him, which is ridiculous!!! Considering he talks about balance when he nevers plays survivor
You're not supposed to name and shame members of this forum, I don't agree with everything he says but that was flat out harassment. You and several people started a hate mob. He was even compared to Ochido which is pretty low considering Ochido has some pretty messed up allegations. All of that because you disagreed with his opinions on the game. I'm willing to bet that's why the thread was taken down too.

After using this forum for some time the amount of killer bias here is insane. Any thing that even slightly benefits survivors is looked down upon. I think the main reason for this bias is do to the fact that in the past survivors were op but nowadays they arent that strong.
But because of the effects of 2016-rarly 2018 real survivor problems are ignored and that's not good. If we continue to ignore problems survivors face the player base will decline and the killer wait times will increase and inevitably the game will die.
Killer mains stop looking at survivors as someone out to ruin your game and look st them as a human wanting to have fun playing too.
I'm tired of the us vs them mentality why cant it be just "us." Why can't we look at all the problems as a whole and work to fix them. I ask killer mains and survivor mains alike play the opposite side and get good at it try to understand their struggles.
For you killer mains that say survivor is op go plag solo survivor at rank 1 and ask yourself do you want to play swf or that. For you survivor mains that think killer is op go play wraith on ormond and ask yourself is this even fair.
You guys know moris and keys right? Yeah they are both broken they both need reworks. The point I'm trying to make is that we need to get together and combine the community rather than divide and only then will dbd improve its health.
I mean you have taken part of the Us Vs Them in many of your posts and with this thread. I mean you're straight up doing it now. lol
-
I think the developers should implement bots. You could set the AI up in a way it'll play exactly the way you want it to. It won't chase you when you're unhooked, it won't chase you after a set amount of time, it won't get too close to the hook, you could choose what it reacts to and how it reacts, you could bar them from using certain add ons or perks, and you could even give it "feedback" at an end game chat where it'll respond to you in preset responses.
-
Jesus this fanbase is so exhausting, no discourse or conversation just insults and accusations. This is why there's a divide. I hate this topic the most because no matter how many times people go "Well Discord is super problematic" or whatever nuanced explanation we give, we're dismissed as "You want easy kills!" or "You're making excuses". This is one of the subject matters that never go anywhere like DS and Noed.

Oh no, i don't make fun of you.
It's just that SWF is a big part of the game, seeing SWF match after match is pretty common.
I personally think SWF being able to talk with eachother is a balancing problem, but blocking the ability to chat with your friends seems very anti-QoL to me.
Plus you can't stop friends having a LAN party from chatting.
Removing SWF altogether is no good either, it'll be dodge galore all over again.
It's a huge balancing problem that has gone unaddressed, but no one is asking for it to be removed. I don't think the OP is either, it's just frustrating to play against. Even that one weird comparison someone made to tunneling doesn't add up. Voice-coms are not a part of the game and the game wasn't made for it.

No game should ever be a "breeze in the park", but matches shouldn't make you sweat for a win either. Good teamwork will always offer up a decent challenge for any Killer, but SWF will always have the advantage. Not only can they communicate with each other about where the Killer is and what they're doing, but they can proceed to do that even after death. And if they're all equipped with roughly the same strong perks like BT, DS, Adrenaline, OoO, etc, and play very toxic, then the killer will be lucky to walk away with 20k bp, let alone pip. With matchmaking being as borked as it is too, encountering SWF red rank teams is more likely than ever, and if your Killer is green ranked or above, then you don't have a prayer.
You can explain this until you're blue in the face and people will still offer the same responses. It's exhausting. I think out of all the topics, this one annoys me the most.

survivors are way underpowered in solo.
swf matches killer. That’s about it. Killers def have the upper hand. Communication is what levels the playing field.
I could understand that playing solo could be frustrating, but if I'm being real SWF ######### with solos too. You're always the scapegoat when the team doesn't do well, they leave you to die while saving their buddies, and they farm you. I play solo mostly and has seen these in action. As for SWF matching killer no one has provided any insight as of why or how. I see this claim thrown around a lot.

@EuphoricBliss35 said:
I don’t think anything needs to be done. You have killers who choose to play super sweaty. The natural balance to that is a coordinated swf.
also, not every swf play like Seal trained gamers. Most are just casuals having fun. Devs have already said they would never remove/limit what perks someone wants to use.
Both sides play "sweaty" there's no issue with playing with the best of your ability.
Whether or not every SWF is a navy seal team is irrelevant, this is my problem, it's what I covered in my earlier post. People not even bothering to actually look at issues on the other side under a nuanced lens. Discord grants a SWF an unfair advantage regardless of how well they play. That information is vital. It's crucial. I have played SWF before, I started off as mostly survivor. I know how devastating having that information could be. If you have the ability to give off valuable information and you are a competent team then you're friggin lethal.

I see a lot of people on this forum often complain about swf but no one actually talks about what they would do to change it. Personally, as someone who plays soloQ survivor and killer I don't think anything needs to be done to limit people playing with their friends. Not trying to start a war here, just want to see some peoples thoughts on why swf is disliked among the killer side and what they would do to change it.
There aren't any easy solutions, but the main issue is Discord and the developers' mindset. At the start they made this game that was supposed to be unpredictable with strangers who aren't communicate with each other; Discord screws this up. Rather than maybe make changes to accommodate the survivors' desire to communicate and plan while throwing a bone at the solo survivors, they choose to do nothing. Hell, I can't even think of a way to bring the solos up to SWF level without ######### the killer who relies on information the most. Killers repeated this over and over only to be met by the same responses "git gud!", "you need to apply pressure" or my favorite, "if you remove swf, you get no players!" nevermind the fact that outside communication is out of the killer's control. It's like playing basket ball with people who has telepathic powers, it adds an unfun disadvantage all the while people bully((let's be real here)) killers into playing with rules that often see them having their hands behind their backs. The developers need to step in here and make some changes. I don't know if it's in game chat, making certain perks basekit, or what.
To this day, I am amazed no one has never stopped and asked themselves "Man, I have never played a game where communication ######### everything up"

Title. Why is this allowed? We can't see killers name. He said he doesn't want to play against swf. Okay bro, i guess you'll play alone if they remove swf cuz this game would be dead in 1 week. And we are totally chill team, not even that good like people are talking about that bAd sWf.
Literally no one, no one wants SWF to be removed no one is calling for that and no one thinks that SWF in itself is toxic. It drive me bananas when this subject matter has been explained repeatedly only for people to spew the same talking points. It's the thing killers have no control of and that's outside communication that this game wasn't built for. Frankly, Discord. It's like playing tag with your friends, you're it but everyone has telepathic powers but you. Slap on some OOO then you have a team that could see you through the walls then communicate your location. There's braving a match and there is braving a match where the odds are unfairly stacked against you.
No amount of claiming to be chilled or being potatoes will change the fact that it's an unfair advantage.

With crossplay "coming soon" I can think of three things that would make this game fun for "almost everyone"
1) Expand on KYF... make this mode the "party mode" for those who want to play it as such
2) Implement an unranked mode... for those players whom want to play casually, and this would be the mode to play in order to "unlock" the new ranked mode
3) Make the ranked mode have a clear border to entry... Like have 5 killers and 5 survivors past a certain Level "they would have to make a new leveling system for this but it would help those players whom want a more competitive game"... also implement a weekly perk ban "so it's not the same ol' same ol"
I'm for this idea.

Ok, this is what i believe being the best player in this game and i don't base my judgement on the skill (even tho he is pretty skill) But i judge his skill on knowledge and fairness. Basically: He plays fair, he always tries to 12 hook and he never play lame unless he has too, This is exactly me EVERY game. But the outcome is: You get gen rushed and you get mocked for it :\
I believe that the only way to play this game should be the way to make the match fun for both sides and i say this because i play both sides so i know what playing lame both sides mean... But playing fair is NOT rewarding because the outcome is always the same: Gens goes fast and you have no way to match the unfairness of maps (See the pallet at the bathroom right in front of a jungle gym)
Now, anyone else believes that this game should be much more fair/fun and rewarding or it's just me? Because i don't think that escaping or 4king should be important things, not for me, but having challenges and enjoying the game should.
Every game should be fair, fun, and rewarding but I think we need a clear and objective definition on what's considered fair. We also need to be careful because we have at this point created an atmosphere where players are shamed for using certain tactics, perks, or adds on without any nuanced reason as of why. I also believe it's the job of the developers to craft an experience that leads to the player's enjoyment, there's giving us freedom and giving us the power to completely dictate the experiences of others. I don't want that responsibility when I am trying to win against optimal opponents. It's not unreasonable to want to win in a game that pushes both sides to be competitive.
I do not consider Dead by Daylight to be a party game, its unsure if it wants to be competitive too. The developers either need to make the game into a horror themed sports game or take some measures to ensure that it'll be this fun party game; If they could have the best of both worlds that'd be awesome too.

Childish? All toys are made by adults for children. Animation is a medium that can have far reaching dramatic themes, and have very personal growth. Just look at how people are so passionate about Avatar.
Sturgeons law says 90 percent of everything is garbage. Maybe you haven't seen the good ones. One series that particularly stuck out in my head was Paranoia Agent. Man that was a trip.

Dead by Daylight has a....rough design so it depends on the characters that they will be adding, some of these anime/manga especially the ones I have mentioned already have live action films based on them, they would only need to use those versions of the characters to fit in with the roster. Identity V which is an East Asian developed game handles this well.

Can we not make this about balance or whether or not Freddy is annoying? All they are saying is that they want the character. So no, they shouldn't "consider themselves lucky" and quite frankly, there are a lot of GOOD killers who play Freddy too. I've also survived vs some of them. Just like any killer, he's susceptible to doing gens really fast.
Thank you. I hate this because to add on to what you're saying, but it also shames people for playing certain characters I am so sick of the damn shaming in this community, I have never picked up a killer and got an "easy 4K" no matter who it is. On top of the fact this thread isn't the place for that.

I think it would be cool if they made Tomie survivor personally. Her whole thing is that she is kind of cursed to live out her death at the hands of jealous lovers over and over, kind of like how survivors live their deaths repeatedly at the hands of the killers.
I would think her perks would...
1. Make her more likely to be the obsession
2. Benefit others for working with/near her
3. Give her the opportunity to benefit from nearby survivors while effecting them in a negative way.
If a junji Ito villain were added to the game I would probably choose Fuichi (the model), Souichi, or maybe like a shark from Gyo.
However I do recognize that, in the unlikely event junji's works ever did make it into dbd, they would probably make Tomie the killer and Kirie the survivor.
EDIT: she's not specifically a anime/manga character, but Asami Yamazaki from "The Audition" could be an interesting addition to the killer roster.
Interestingly enough, Tomie is a killer in Identity V and Suichi is a survivor, I would love this pair in DBD. Suichi would be a hilarious survivor and he'd be unique to the cast. Audition though....man...you have good taste, that's one of my favorite horror films. She'd be an excellent killer. The idea of the leading male being trapped in the fog with her would make the situation all the tragic.
-
The only way I could see that working if Integra was a chapter, Seras Victoria would kind of work but Alucard would be a stretch.
-
I think in Identity V, a lot of these suggestions or ideas would be implemented really well. I am still angry and salty that they have Tomie and Joker from Persona 5 and we do not. Pyramid Head was a step in the right direction. As a challenge, I will try to suggest characters that will not only fit into the game but will also look good within it.
My ideas for killers are:
- Tomie(Tomie Series)-Obviously. She could plant multiple versions of herself across the map and even have a "charm" status effect where the player would fall in love with Tomie. They could either have an impossible skill check anytime they work on gens with another player, reveal their own aura or another player's aura. They'd act against the team because they are obsessed with Tomie. The status effect could be a useful tool for isolating players. So her ability would be to plant multiple versions of herself then morph to them whenever she needs to fast travel, obviously there will be a cooldown time. She could also infect players as well, she slips a tomie inside of them and they have an amount of time to remove the Tomie from their bodies before they are taken over, which would be a mini mori. Her weapon could be knife. Her Mori would be the player killing her instead then dying of madness afterwards, another Tomie will step in after the animation is complete. Her stage would be the Hinada Residence.
- The Lolita-She's from the horror manga, "Ibitsu". Her whole deal is asking a guy "Do you want a little sister?", if you say no then you're dead and if you say yes then she will stalk you, impose on your life, and make you miserable until she eventually kills you then replace you with another brother. Her perks could easily revolve around Obsession. Her terror radius would be tiny and she will have the ability to stalk. Her weapon will be her umbrella she carries around to match her dress. She will have the ability to stalk and will be a stealth killer. Her mori see her pulling out a plush replica of the player's character then cutting them open to remove the innards so she could place them inside of her plush for her "collection". I imagine she'll have a passive ability along with the stalk that will play with the characters optically, make them see her when she's not there to induce a sense of panic. Her stage would be an abandoned mental asylum. She'd be a stealth character and a means to have new collectibles like Leatherface with the faces.
- The Frog-The main antagonist from Museum. Its basically about a man who commit thematic murders similar to John Doe from Seven, he's known for wearing a frog mask. I am unsure what kind of abilities he'd have. I do know his stage would be an abandoned building decked out as a hellish museum to display his "art" and his weapon will probably be a hammer or a handsaw. His perks will definitely cause mangled or hemorrhage due to his own sadistic personality. I suppose they could very well introduce a new "game mode" in his ability similar to Jigsaw, have them play humiliating games like eating dog food which see them passing pretty hard skill checks, other than that I am unsure. I do know he will suffer from flashlight burn since his skin is sensitive to light but he'd have to be pretty strong to balance that out.
- Kazu Kiriyama- This is cheating since Battle Royale is a novel adapted to film and a manga. Every character starts off with an explosive collar on their neck and its set to go off at a certain time. This could be an interesting way to introduce a time trial into Dead by Daylight then finally force players to make a choice to help each other or be selfish. A player being hooked could maybe either stop the timer or slow it down to discourage camping((I'm not against camping, I am a nuanced guy so I could see how it'd annoy a player that won't get to play and it'd be problematic for the survivors who already have to deal with a ticking clock)). It'd be pretty damn intense if the killer had an explosive collar as well. I think in a perfect and balance version of the game this idea will work. His weapon will be a wadachi and his chase theme will be his score from the live action film, his appearance will be based on the Battle Royale live action film as well. His stage will be the island and it'll have a building or so there.
- Yoshikage Kira-From the popular series Jojo's Bizarre Adventures. He has a Stand called Killer Queen and he has the ability to implant an invisible explosive on any object he pleases, even people but he could only implant the bombs on one object at a time. I'm thinking a fun Easter Egg is that aura abilities won't capture Kira but Killer Queen in its place, you'd need supernatural awareness in order to see Stands or be a Stand user yourself. Kira would be able to plant bombs in survivors, generators, exit gates, chests, pallets, or lockers. Kira would be able to cut off loops, injure multiple survivors, stop gen rush, or even nail a hiding player. The one object at a time would keep things balanced and would give the killer the challenge of selecting their targets carefully. Bites the Dust could serve as an end game perk, imagine completing all of the gens and you're about to leave only...for things to reset, to make things fair, maybe the players will have to do another gen before leaving. He won't have a weapon, he would strike a survivor with his Stand instead. His mori will see him blowing a player into bits then collecting their hand as his prize. He has a hand fetish...His map will be Morioh. I imagine it'd function like Springfield or Haddonfield.
Not a killer but:
L from Death Note would be a cool survivor, they could easily use his live action version. His perks would revolve around detection and aura reading. He'd be a perfect companion for Tapp who is also a detective.
Ichigo Kurasaki- From Bleach. Bleach has a live action film, so it'd be pretty easy to insert him in the game without him seeming out of place. The idea of a soul reaper trying to stop the Entity and failing would be pretty cool. Ichigo's perks would revolve around aggressive play and aura reading. He'd obviously be nerfed otherwise he'd solo the entire DBDverse lol.
Shuya Nanahara-Also from Battle Royale. I'm thinking his perks would revolve around items, he'd be able to locate fallen items and have a perk called "Backpack" which will allow him to have a duplicate of an item he carries into the trial, if he discards his item after use then he will instantly regain that item back but it won't have the same add ons.
Kirie Goshima from Uzamaki would be an interesting survivor. Her perks would probably revolve around hexes and totems. Just give the iconic hairstyle with the spirals in them then she'll sell gangbusters.

This thread has the sole purpose of being a direct counterpart to the thread about what is unfun for killers, as a mean to make that thread look ridiculous. If you want to argue that people should be allowed to voice their opinions no matter what, you could start with this thread. On the other hand, the thread that this thread is more or less a response to, is also just a response to the complaints survivor mains voice about killers, in the hopes of ridiculing those complaints, which is also stupid. Your argument that people should not be confronted disrespectfully for voicing their own opinion can be perfectly applied to both these threads.
So let's be honest here, this really just feels like kindergarten behaviour at this point, not that that's something rare to find on these forums.
If you really want anyone to be able to voice their opinion no matter what, and that's totally correct as that's what these forums are for, then you should look at the root of the problem. Which is all the people here on these fourms not being able to deal with the opinion of other people.
I'm with you actually, this is not only childish but in bad faith. A simple "Survivors What Do You Find Unfun?" like all the others would have sufficed.

killers love throwing around the word unfun as a means to justify "changes" for some some survivors.
Well then, I think it's just fair we also enlight'em on all the things that are really "unfun" to go against as survivors.

- Legion like holy f**k
Yeah--no we don't.
If Killers dislike something, we will say it outright. There's other terminologies that killers use too like clutch or second chance, these are pretty direct terms that no one would misunderstand. For example: Killers believe that DS is a second chance perk that unskilled survivors use because they are bad at a chase.((I'm not arguing in one favor or the other)) or SWF, the use of Discord makes SWF frustrating to deal with. There's no misunderstanding in the intentions of said post. People only fall all over themselves to interpreted their own meanings.
Now if you want to talk about a demographic that use unfun as a means to get a certain thing nerfed, then survivors do this. It's the reason why Forever Freddy was gone. It's never clear if these things are just challenging to deal with thus bringing about frustration, annoying, or broken. It often leads to a nerf of some kind. That being said, I'm not saying there isn't some validity in wanting in an unfun thing tweaked or removed. The point of video games are to be fun. But survivors often tend to use "unfun" as a metric to get things nerfed and this often confuses killers as of their intentions.
To say that killers use unfun to lead to nerfs for survivors is false. You don't even have to play either side to see that, just hang around the forums.

When I'm playing The Pig, I spare Detective Tapps. If it's more than one of them? No problem! I'll decide on your life with a coin toss. When I first did it, this David was so mad! He was like "WHY DID YOU LET HIM LEAVE AND NOT ME?" and I told him my theme and he found it hilarious. He was like "Oooooooh just like the movies! GG". I also tend to spare Claudettes but that's out of my own bias and fondness of the character.
I think my best story though was when I was playing against a group of people, I think they were noobs? I held back on purpose and two of them escaped, they were so proud of themselves and of course I rooted them on post match as well. I was having a rough day so seeing how happy they were made my night.

Also you could just do totem.
While I will say that survivors have many grievances that are valid, they tend to be weaponized in order to gaslight the opposition into playing the way they like which often causes a handicap. When you refuse then you're met with racial slurs and harassment at the end of the match. Like you said, you have to literally chase someone and hit them. Like you're the only person who mentioned this.

The game could be pretty rough and its toxic community doesn't make things any better. While you will find a few helpful comments, most of the responses you'll receive from this will be either bad faith arguments or insults. The people in the forums are very selective in their empathy.

The tweet doesn’t indicate they will include it for representations sake. They actually stated before they don’t want to do it because of it. They will include LGBT now because they already added hetero relations and they don’t want to explicitly exclude LGBT themes.
we will have to see how BHVR will include this in the future, as of now nothing more than some lore should be expected.
There's because "representation's sake" does not exist. And if the LGBT community wants a character from their community that then that's not a problem, I was under the impression that non straight or non white customers were paying customers like anyone else. Rey and all the other reactionaries are acting like toddlers who don't want to share their toys.
If I want to concede and say it's empty diversity like they aren't doing anything interesting with the character, the character serves no other purpose than to further the goals of the majority with no real plot of their own, or anything like that then sure, but the loud reactionary you're speaking with isn't concerned about any of those things. He just don't want any gay ######### in it. Ironically enough, these kind of people are angry because they are being "forced" to deal with a demographic while forcing companies to appeal to only them.
If I come off as aggressive, I apologize but it's far too much craziness in the world for these people to either lie about what they mean or continue in their ignorance.

Oh a common argument huh? You mean a strawman you can burn on a hill in effigy of actual people's arguments? How convenient for people who want to seem enlightened and understanding but instead actually just operate off of a simple system of rhetorical devices and logic fallacies.
No one has strawmanned you, your arguments are just bad. Cringe even. I can't tell if you're dog whistling, some paranoid fringe nut, or aren't as savvy in social issues which would be fine, we've all been there but you've been saying crazy ######### like "positive reinforcement quota" "social agenda" and concerned troll about how corporations were using the LGBT community for funds, when you've made it abundantly clear that you're not interested in that you just don't want any gay stuff in your game. You contradicted yourself with the whole social agenda nonsense and anyone with half a brain and basic reading skills could pick up on that. Hell someone even tried the same argument you did then fell on their face as well.

Same! It sums up the reactionary fanbase within the gaming circles entirely, especially the low hanging fruit here.

I see a few of people saying, "Adding this was unnecessary and not needed." If you think that, just don't worry about this. The devs want to go more in depth with the backstories of characters, so sexuality might've come into play at some point. It's not a big thing. If you didn't go crazy over Wraith and Nurse having a fling and Claudette being on the spectrum, don't go crazy over this.
Edit: Also it's the devs choice not yours
I'm waiting for someone to call me homophobic...
I was with you until that last post cause it made no sense...
Why would someone call you homophobic?

Gay people and lesbians are used for a lot of peoples' gain these days. Many of those I have spoken with know they're being used to push the social justice agenda and that they are patronized as a form of marketing by major corporations that couldn't care any less about them. It's not like they're in any position to do anything about it since it's their "allies" that are doing it. Who can they turn to when they're being exploited by people that claim to support them?

I feel you. That outta the way, I'm glad I had an opportunity to converse with you. I've been a lurker before I finally gave in then made an account. I happen to enjoy your posts and style of debate.

How's it nice? They're pandering for money and people are falling for it. Gay people don't realise they are being used for bhvrs gain. Doesn't take much intelligence to realise that.
Big corporations do exploit marginalized people and commodify progressive causes for financial and social capital. Paying lip service towards injustices instead of doing their part to prevent the systematic causes of said injustices. That being, you're not concerned about that at all aren't you? You are basically concern trolling. Your main issue is "force diversity" you just don't want any gay ######### in your video game.
I think everybody knows Behavior isn't our friend, they provide a service that we pay for. They "pander" by making use of our nostalgia for old horror movies or our love for certain characters, it's how they sell new characters and skins. Alienating your potential market is the dumbest thing you could do. Why do you have an issue now lol?

"Debauchery" doesn't necessarily mean sex. Everything illegal they did that's mentioned by name is technically a form of debauchery.

Tbh I don't see that as being about group sex. It's definitely possible to interpret it that way, but that's not how I see it unless there is something else in the text I'm missing.
I wanted to be absolutely sure and I could be wrong still so I looked up the definition prior to posting the quote.

But I also sound this too
: extreme indulgence in bodily pleasures and especially sexual pleasures : behavior involving sex, drugs, alcohol, etc. that is often considered immoral

So you could definitely be right. The stuff they did could fit into debauchery. I guess Behavior wasn't as spicy or bold as I thought they were. I was like "Wow, they are actually going there."

"Frank saw it as an opportunity to shape their lack of experience into something powerful. He lined up nights of debauchery and rampage, testing their limits. Bullying, vandalism, and theft were essentially their weekend plans. It came to a point where they would do anything he asked."
This shocked the hell out of me when I read it lol. I was amazed no one else caught that.

What's offensive is that people seem to believe that there needs to be a "good reason" to explore a fictional characters' sexual preference. It's just additional information about the character for the lore, regardless of whether it's needed or not.
Was it important to inform us that Jeff Johansen was an only child, or that he had at one point worked in a video store? No, but no one complained.
Was it important to inform us that Yui Kimura was a feminist in support of women who have been abused or stalked? No, but no one complained.
I could go on and on about each character.
There's so much information from the lore that are completely unrelated to the gameplay of "fixing gens and murdering survivors" but no one bats an eye.
Yet suddenly there are people being triggered about a fictional characters' sexuality being known. Why is it less important to know a characters' sexual preference than to know what they had for their high school jobs?
I agree except for one thing, people did complain here about Yui Kimura and Jane even, they said it was too much and I quote "social justice crap" or "feminist stuff" I recall a thread about a dude whining because Yui was a "strong female character" thus injecting politics in the game or some mumbo jumbo these people of their ilk spout out. Anything that lean toward the more progressive side of things are complained about here.

That's not how the devs did it for any other character except Frank and Julie, so there's a good precedent that that's how they'll do it for others as well.
Frank and Julie, for the record, received zero complaints, despite their expanded lore being focused on their relationship, shoving their straightness down our throats every other sentence.
Hell, they took it a step further then hinted that the Legion may have had group sex with each other. No one had a problem.

When IT chapter 2 came out. The opening scene a homosexual couple gets the ######### beat out of them, one gets thrown off a bridge and eaten by Pennywise. Some people were claiming that was racist despite the fact it was in the original book back when King wrote it in 1986.
I know when I see a video with the title "It Triggers the SJWS" I know upon viewing I will lose several braincells. The issue with the opening scene was that it was gratuitous and added absolutely nothing to the movie, it exploited a very real issue for shock value. There's also the issue of queer representation in film being mostly tragedy, an example being the Kill Your Gay trope.((I would suggest googling that as it'll answer most of your confusion)) You could have simply had Pennywise devour a member of the pair then be done with it.
Eh, people have been criticizing King for a while and just because it wasn't an issue then doesn't mean it shouldn't be an issue now. People form hindsight and have critical thoughts about things. It's what....smart people do? It's how we improve as people. To not discuss pop culture and the politics featured is honestly anti-intellectualism.
