Yes, I agree. Bringing a key puts a target on the survivor’s back, they not only have to complete the required number of gens to get hatch to spawn, they also have to survive long enough to be able to escape with the key. They have to outlast their teammates, be skilled at looping, have good decision-making skills. Bad survivors will find that keys cannot compensate for poor gameplay. In the rare instances where a teammate brings a key, they often still do not survive.
Keys only make the objective marginally easier. Killers commonly run overpowered perk combinations such as Ruin/Undying/Pop that make it extremely difficult for survivors to complete generators. Keys level the playing field against an opponent of such caliber. At times, they are even necessary.
Keys get dropped, it's not just the survivor that brings it killers have to worry about, it's every survivor who could pick it up. No they can't say 'i have a key' but it's plainly visible in the hand and to pretend other survivors don't know you have it is untrue.
-
I'm not actually seeing anyone bringing keys today which is nice. Has anyone actually tested out franklins to see if it does or doesn't make them drop the keys?

reverse her power completely. Make invisible and blind her normal state and the player phases to visible for limited amounts of time.

0 map pressure, 0 multi target, 0 range on his power, tiny hitbox, ultra long cooldown, extremely easy to dodge, 3 hit power, taller killer in the game super easy to spot from far away, he is F tier, played him a few times on ptb to notice this and my first match confirmed his uselessness and how weakly trash he is.
This but need to add he is so large he gets stuck on stupid things.
-
I skipped actually reading the posts but i know exactly what you are talking about just from the title. It's getting disgusting. As nemesis i come around the corner and see one survivor was using a flashlight on the zombie and another survivor was behind it grinding away like it was daddy warbucks....that poor zombie. such disrespect.
-
He is right though. I hate teams that don't unhook. Honestly there is no point leaving a gen unless the killer is there, that's the time to focus on the unhook. It's a good strategy, cheap like tunneling or camping but effective.

What about the other side of the coin? I don't see survivors really caring about the fun of killers when they can go and make bully squads or just rush gens out with their BNP and perks. Or hell if they bring in a key and a map. Survivors do this stuff to killers all the time too and they still have the nerve to complain about -their- fun. The killer is a person too you know...they're not an npc. I'm sure they like having fun too.
The game needs limited communication between killer and survivor during a match. A wheel with preset dialogue. Otherwise the other person is a faceless machine and when they flash light click or whatever the killer only can really take it one way whether it was intended or not and camping/tunneling is just camping/tunneling.
-
Remove the penalty! As a killer i support this. I'm tired of playing on haddonfield. with twins the swamp is a pain as well with victor being so short so d/c there as well. Survivors pop 2 or 3 gens really fast d/c, no point in going on. I like this idea. also if survivors d/c great! makes my job so much easier.
-
Chasing is so boring. oh you ran around that loop until i was just in range then dropped a pallet. Just like every other survivor. yawn. it's good to change it up.

I’d probably suck too much to have any perks. Is give up a viable perk?
Give up:
You instantly DC giving your other 3 teammates a 25% boost to repair, heal and tea bagging.
the killer receives a -25% to run speed and all survivors receive an extra state before the dying state - Just a scratch

You're talking about hard tunneling where the killer just chases one person all game. I'm talking about tunneling someone on death hook near the end of the game to slow the gens down
Don't try to reason with them it's a losing battle. They don't understand that you can't pressure more than 1 gen at a time with most killers and especially when there isn't a 3 gen and when the survivors are most likely spit on 2 gens with 1 already going to unhook. They just want you to leave hook at the end so they get the easy unhook.
I had a survivor say i camped the last hook and i should have left.....why? bbq showed me the exact scenario above, there was no gen pressure to be had, 2 survivors were working separate gens, 1 survivor was not on bbq so camping was simply the best strategy at that point. Now get ready for the get gud comments but i like to play casually, i'm not here to spend hours studying, i'm just here to have fun and i do so thanks.

I don't disagree with anything you said. My question though, if you are already a better than average killer, getting on average more than 2k, then MMR hits and it works as intended, dropping you down to a 2k average, are you going to be more or less satisfied with the game?
Kills is not a good metric to go by and is misleading. Hooks are much better metric.
-
Survivors would rather nerf spirit than learn to play against her.

1.) MMR isn't on right now
2.) You don't get death squad after death squad. Those teams make up less than 1% of the playerbase.
Get good.
How do you know. SWF's are hidden...
-
Spine chill is the reason i don't play stealth killers or use undetectable perks. it makes them useless.

Maybe this is when the killer/survivor rule books get published on how each role can and can’t play
didn't you know? The survivor rule book has been out awhile.
-
So in my mind this is what i'm envisioning happening -
1 hour after auto ban kicks in
survivors waiting in queue "um, where are the killers?" second survivor "crap, you don't think we banned them all that fast do you?"
hahahaha
but seriously, like everything else they will abuse it.
-
I'm sorry what was the original question? Oh yeah MMR.
I agree to an extent i guess. But for others to agree would be to admit SWF are a problem. Since MMR is hidden and can't be manipulated as easily as the rank system to derank and take a break from sweaty survivors a lot of people aren't going to like it. I mean it's fun to be dominant for awhile right? It's going to make them play at their skill level more and even switching to another killer they don't use is only a temporary reprieve as that killer will also rank up eventually.
For me, i don't mind playing against any group as long as they aren't toxic but since the overall community is toxic or perceived to be toxic it just isn't fun. What i do love about MMR is that i was playing killers i've never played because i didn't want to get stomped. I think it will bring more killer variety to the game which is a positive.
What i would love to see added to help with perceived toxic behavior is a radial communication dial for survivors. Not chat or comms but preset things they can say to a killer. 'take me instead'. 'i'll show you which locker dwight is in'. 'blendette is in that grass pile'. Add a layer of bargaining with the killer or trading. Maybe they are lying, so what? add more to the game than some faceless killer/survivor who can't communicate with you to become a person but not chat or voice as that would quickly be abused.

Remember when BHVR was like ok we'll fix this by pausing the hook timer if a killer is near and survivors ruined it by looping the killer around the hook so they wouldn't die and abused what would have helped prevent camping only to whine about it when it was reverted and still have the nerve to complain? Good times..
-
get in the locker. not only that but double up on gens. Don't solo them, this way you can curb stomp victor and heal your partner should he down you. It will give you a better chance.

Is that an actual thing? Could I report the guy that made me DC after I having to wait 40 minutes on a match for trying to get Adept?
yes. they are holding the game hostage.

It does, or atleast it supposed to, camping twins has more counter than hag, in my opinion
Crouch walking around victor does not set it off. You can kill him this way but smart survivors use this to sneak up on a gen or something else. Honestly with 6 second respawn, don't kick victor unless he is active or feeding good info back to killer.
-
@Squirrel_Thicc said:
When victor is destroyed make him have a longer cooldown before he comes back. Kicking victor literally does nothing half the time because charlotte gets him back in like 15 seconds anyways.
6 seconds. It is pointless to kick him a lot of the time depending on how far away charlotte is. I would revert his last change back to 3 seconds on successful hit but make his respawn timer at least 30 seconds. He comes back way to fast.

Congrats!

I like the MMR system. I'm playing killers i have never played before, i'm not good at and i don't feel like i'm being punished for it. The more players play killers and the better the get the higher the ranks. The problem with MMR is that everyone can see player rank and think that is what matters even though they say otherwise. Ranks should be removed or hidden honestly, that is the only way to get a fair test. Until then the survivor died because the killer was red rank. yes. that's it. wasn't their fault.
-
Oppression needs to have a bonus regression speed to it. It's worthless as it stands at high ranks.

I also saw this video on Twitter. Is this intentional or a bug because I though Victor would get crushed in this scenario.
victor will get crushed if he stands on something taller than him according to the description. He must be a shade taller than the window.
-
- Charlotte now loses collision after being dormant for 30 seconds. This means that if Charlotte stays asleep for 30 seconds or more, Survivors can walk through her and she loses her ability to bodyblock. This was an entire paragraph of coding that was added and simply not mentioned.
I remember reading or hearing about this one. It was mentioned but I can't remember where. It may have been in Dowsey's video where he talked about the nerfs. Honestly though, BHVR is terrible about patch notes and stealth nerfs. They have a long history of being shady so it's no surprise they continued that behavior.
-
You had to be there i guess.

Yes there is an obsession in every match now.

1984 was a really good year. I'm sorry to those of you who didn't have the luck of growing up in the greatest decade of modern history. I barely even recognize this world anymore.
The reference was to the book 1984 because..nevermind. It was a great decade, i was 10 that year. Lived in middle of nowhere texas. I think the town had maybe 100 people, surrounded by desert. Got my first bb gun that year as well, no cactus was safe.

Is this the part where we conveniently forget that they want individual MMR for each killer so people trying out a new killer don't get stomped? Something people constantly complain about?
Also, OP deserves it for playing Legion.
No it should be implemented when they launch MMR not a year before or more.
-
No it's fine, they are survivors. Only killers are locked because, you know, MMR might be here in the next decade and survivors spend more money.
-
Ok. I read the name of the post and now all i'm thinking about is survivors coming up and laying items at my feet and bowing in exchange for leaving. They need to add a bow emote. This is so funny in my head. Maybe funnier than booping the pigs snoot.
-
started with freddy, moved to spirit and now i'm on twins. I love the 'idea' of playing nurse but i'm really bad at her. When MMR comes out in 2053 then i might give her another shot. Right now trying to learn her against red rank survivors isn't really viable.
-
The least fun ones seem consistent. I'm a little surprised at huntress being in the top on most though and a little sad twins is on the bottom on most.
-
It would be nice if totems were only visible within so many feet, were truely random or seen only with the right perk.
-
what is a bm?
-
Great advice thank you both.
-
I read his wall, mostly, and he is saying it is bugged for the survivor and needs fixed. He isn't saying it OP and needs nerfed. I think, i'm not reading that again.
-
Just from the few comments comparing the swf and solo it does seem like swf is very strong.
