I think we can all agree that medkits can drastically slow down killers snowball potential. So, why does giving everyone an infinite medkit at a cost of 14 seconds blessing is a thing? Not even a self care, a full blown medkit to heal yourself in 16 seconds. If devs want to keep boons re-ignitable (despite how bs that is) i suggest making the healing speed boost altruistic only like it already is on perks like We Will Make It/No One Left Behind. It would still be gifting survivors a good healing speed bonus - there's a reason why We Will Make It can be crushing with good communication - but at least it wont be to the level of everyone resetting on their own near the boon in 16 seconds
They dont care about your opinion, they just dont care about game health as long as you give them money

At first I thought this was just a coincidence but its been a couple times that I have been tunneled off hook. I was in no way toxic or anything. In one of my games on Lerys a Pig was tunneling me and another Mikaela player. So it seems like they dont like me playing as her? Very confused rn. Last time A nurse tunneled me and it was on the Coal mine map, she didnt even go for others, was just tunneling me off hook.
You have some good perks such as the boons, if we can get that out of the way its good

@FellowKillerMain said:
Sure, they activate differently, but are ultimately interchangeable in any circumstance I can think of. Endurance has some serious restrictions on use, but dead hard does not. Considering that, doesn't this make Dead Hard stronger than the endurance status effect? If so, why does it not have as many restrictions as endurance does?
The DH gives you distance by just pressing a button, if well used it can give you at least 40 seconds of chase, endurance is just negate hit and gives a little distance

Dead hard sucks, just bait it out and it's not a problem. If you lunge every hit, you're gonna get derped.
I agree on the part to bait dh but its really doesnt really suck as it gives you extra 2-4 loops on something if you use it like noob, if you recycle loop you can do some more 40 seconds at least

I'm learning Trickster and i'm still in they grey ranks as killer. I'm getting loads of red rank survivors that outplay me. I thought there was a skill-based match making in this game. For some reason i even got a rank up last round, although gens are done very quick and i only managed to kill one survivor in the endgame.
I closed the chat for my screenshot because the survs were pretty mean regarding my skills.

So I had a random thought. What if when effected by the exhaustion status effect, it gave a slight hindered penalty too?
For example, when a survivor is effected with the exhausted status effect they gain a 3% hindered effect too.
Is this a good idea? Probably not, but I'm curious about others opinions on this.
Not hindered, maybe some louder breathing not affected by Iron Will

BHVR has to pay for both if they want the character to look like the actor, otherwise they have to tweak it, such as Laurie.

What do you guys prefer when playing survivor? Do you guys just care about escaping as quick as possible and getting 15k points. Or getting a longer game with more action, like getting into chases and things like that and resulting in more points despite maybe not being able to escape, but still getting more points.
And as a when playing killers what do you guys prefer? Just getting the 4 downs as quick as possible, and only getting maybe 17k for a match. Or trying to get more hooks and chase everyone. Despite the end result being only getting 1 or 2 downs in the whole game and 2 survivors escaping, but resulting in more points.
When playing surv I like getting 20k+ points and a long chase, thats good enough for me. When playing as killer Merciless( 3k 11 hooks) is really rewarding, I think its what I always aim for.

If a Survivor Dead Hards for distance, its not actually anything crazy because another exhaustion perk used earlier in chase could’ve given them even more distance, or they could have made that distance over time with haste from Hope/Blood Pact.
The reason Killers hate Dead Hard for distance is because the speed happens in a quick burst so it looks like their hit is being taken away, when in reality that never had a chance to land it. Heck the Survivor could’ve Dead Harded randomly 10 seconds earlier and the result would have been the same because of the distance they accumulated in advance.
TLDR: It feels better to feel like you never had a chance then feel like there was a chance and it was taken away. That’s why Dead Hard is so hated.
dead Harding for distance is the only actual good use of the perk, dead harding for avoiding hits is easily countered, I am killer main and I know that DHing for distance is annoying some times but its very occasionaly gonna have a insane value and get annoying, I dont see why people say it should be buffed to avoid hits, its not the use of the perk. And I see what is your point, you are completely right but Killers that get annoyed by DH this easily just bc they used to get 2 meters more distance, are annoyed quite easily if it was not used to get to a pallet or window( even then its very occasional).

I see your point and neither was I accusing you of any of those things. I was clarifying that whilst people can be frustrated or irritated by others, it's important to note that if someone were to react with a slur, death threat or telling someone to kill themself, then that's not acceptable, regardless of how someone played in-game.
Basically, I was wanting to clarify your comment about needing to hear both sides of the story, which I very much agree with. There was just a concern I had that if someone was told their family was going to die, I didn't want that to appear as acceptable, irrespective of both sides. But it's true no story can be told by one side.
Ok, ok I got what you meant now.

It's true that it's important to see both sides and sometimes a playstyle might rile another, but teabagging or using meta perks is not a reason for telling someone to kill themselves or be racist. It's completely disproportionate to react that way because of a video game. That says far more about the individual doing these insults than the streamer, and that they need their head checked - or at least wonder why they hate in that way, because an in-game action such as mentioned above shouldn't cause such an emotive, wreckless response to anyone of sound mind.
Ok, thinking right now using meta perks isnt enought to be toxic, but teabag it really toxic and annoying, and I said nothing about racism, it is crime, Im not defending it.

Hey guys, I know this is probably a dumb thing to make a post about, I understand that there are trolls regardless of where you are, but I see a lot of people getting hate in their steam messages and such online (I'm on windows so people can't message me on steam), and a lot of it is just uncalled for. People calling others slurs or horrendous insults, telling people to off themselves, and for what? What can someone do in a game to make you so upset that you would say something like that? You don't know what someone's going through, what if that was the last straw? I'm just so beyond tired of seeing so much negativity, I guess I just wish people would do better. I'm not saying I think endgame chats a bad idea or anything like that, there are a lot of sweet people and you can make a lot of friends there. This post is useless, just please stop to think sometimes. It's a game. A lot of people are new, some people have bad anxiety, some people just aren't good at games, there are countless reasons for why someone could've done something differently than you would've in a game. To me I just feel like there's no reason to be so violent.
Okay, you saw one side of the story, but there is always something before that, they might have been toxic teabagging or just using the meta #########. But if you only see the hate of one side and dont even try tofid where did it came from, its just bs.

e is X on playstation and A on xbox. the default dead hard button
Its occasionaly gonna be used for distance, 8/10 times when someone uses DH its used for making the killer swing because they cant make to the pallet. And its also a perk to make the chase some seconds longer. Im not tryng to defend DH, its a broke perk but your arguments cant convince me.

- Survivors who get camped and tunneled get a measly 3-8k Bloodpoints, essentially making the cake offerings wasted.
My first game of today was against a clown with exposed bottles that constantly slugged, shook his head, hit us on hook, tunneled, camped and more.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QDVIWPM3R2LB/image.png
Didn't have space to include the part where they use their strongest addons. Almost forgot to mention the Mori.
"But shouldn't x play optimally"? - Shut yer trap. That doesn't excuse your scummy play style whilst there are 4-5 cakes offered. The unnecessary tunneling & camping on top of other things.
All the killers that I've encountered today were so lovely...Bless the wraith that was actually a nice guy...
Survivors have to deal with 5x more BS than killers in this Event. The reason you see more keys as killer is because of BHVR's poor condition to get crowns as survivor.
And also, survivors might be affected in a bad way during this event, but are badly affected by normal gameplay.

There’s no percentages here. It’s says NO NOISE. It’s just for the healing action. Make the sounds hidden, or don’t bother making the perk remove any noise. I’m tired of this crap.
This goes the same for Self Preservation. The description specifically says scratch marks, blood, and grunts of pain are HIDDEN!
Stridor Spirit is already strong enough without including MORE ways it CAN’T be countered.
(For clarification, both self healing AND healing somebody else was performed during the match. Grunts of pain we’re still made, albeit quieter. I already know Bite The Bullet doesn’t work if someone else is healing you, unless they have it too).

With various people saying that this map or that killer should be disabled and so forth, I decided to turn the frequent conversations into something that may be a little more fun. Imagine that you work at BHVR and you have one job: Deleting content that you don't like. You can't go crazy though, you are limited to this:
One map. ONE.
One chapter set of characters. What I mean by this is, say that you want to delete the Twins. Elodie therefore has to go too. Say you want to get rid of Steve Harrington (how could you?), that means that Nancy, the Demogorgon, and all skins go with him. We're not talking about any of the bugs that were introduced with any of the chapters, we're not talking about any previous versions that may have been better before a nerf. We're talking about the characters and the characters only, as they are right now (or were before any bugs that were introduced with this update). For those who were available individually (such as Ash) or those that came with the base game (such as Trapper) you have to choose a member of the base game from the other side to be deleted along with them. Example: If you hate Nea, you have to delete either Trapper, Wraith or Hillbilly as well.
One perk. ONE. Killer or survivor, doesn't matter.
One game mechanic / gameplay feature. This could be the need to build up multiple perk tiers, or the existence of the hatch, or keys, or generator speed, or the ability of killers to camp, etc. Remember, we're not talking about changing or substituting anything, we're talking about looking at a list of things that make this game what it is and being able to press a button to make those things no longer exist.
So there you have it. You must delete ONE map, ONE perk, ONE game mechanic, and ONE set of characters that either came together in a chapter, or, if the character you want to delete didn't come with anybody else, you have to choose a base game character from the other side to be deleted with them. What would you choose? Please, try not to argue. This isn't about survivors vs killers or fair versus unfair. Balance doesn't matter. People losing out on their favorite things doesn't matter. This is all just a hypothetical scenario.
I wouls delete the game, but not just the map lol

When I play I try to avoid camping as much as possible. I even try to alternate which survivor I hook, get as many hooks as possible, and go away to check distant generators. But often times I see a survivor circling me like a vulture while I am carrying another survivor to the hook. They don't even give me a chance to leave the area. Should I follow them in and get them as they are unhooking the other survivor? What is the proper thing to do?
Also should I keep an eye on hooked survivors from a distance? Let them get unhooked. Then go back in to the hook when I am alerted they are unhooked. (Because there will likely be two survivors in that area)
I am just asking what the best approach is. I am interested in giving everyone a fair game and proper etiquette. When I play killer I like to think of myself as dungeon master or the host of the game I am playing. But I still want to win.
Go back to the hook, its not tunnel or camping, you are just coming back as you saw someone making a risky play and you want to punish that play.

It shuts loops and takes away any ability to play around them. No skill needed, just hop over a window. Even a shack pallet goes down after a while with the perk being active. It performs too well in a 1vs1 chase, you need to burn through pallets to avoid going on the ground.
Bamboozle needs to be changed immediately, it ruins any sort of ability to prolong chases without dropping every single pallet you see!
Bamboozle isnt even a meta perk, if you have to use the pallet imidiately, its because you dont know how to loop, and if you dont know how too loop, its your problem not the game. If you wanna know how to counter Bamboozle try to use as much as you can a pallet, window loop usually have jungle gyms or pallets near it, the shack pallet can be used after tons and tons of plays around it dont teven needing to use the window. If you see that you are gonna have to take the hit if you dont drop the pallet, drop the pallet, but if you are gonna be hit or downed, dont use the pallet, if you use it, you will just be giving the pallet to the killer, the Shack Pallet especially can be run for several times, if you can, take the hit and dont drop it, take the hit andrun for a several more loops and then you drop if the killer is almost capable of hitting you.

So now that I got your attention, basically the idea is to do what the Devs did for Rat liver with Demogorgon where Demo now moves quicker while charging, but rat liver was reduced in terms of speed.
I'm thinking we DOUBLE the regression speed of a kicked generator, but HALF Ruin and Pop's regression rate so that they even out to what they do in live as opposed to drastically changing them. This makes it so that killers don't HAVE to use Pop and Ruin in order to be competitive, but still can use them if they choose.
Its a bad idea in my opinion as is would just make the kick speed to 0,5c/s, Pop 12,5c/s Ruin 1c/s instead of kick - 0,25c/s, Pop - 25c/s, Ruin 2 c/s, so Its just a massive nerf.

The glimpses would be like when a Spirit stands still to phase. It would look like one of the animations that she does while phasing, just ghost-like.
Okay I got ur idea. But maybe it could be 1 glimp that dures 1 second and instead of standing still, it would show the direction she is going. IN my head it looks like if the phase bond weakened and came back, you know what I mean?

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2262683#Comment_2262683
As a survivor main, I think that it would be enough. Plus I've had many people come in and tell me to call it a nerf rather than a rework because that's what it is so I think other survivors would recognise it as such and if they don't see the potential for both sides, then I guess that's on them.
As for the glimpses, no it shouldn't be a path that follows her, I hope my other responses proved that.
Still, I think that glimpses break the element of surprise of her. As you said, there would be needed tons of experiments, and all the experiments with feedback of only purple and red ranks, because a baby dwight could corrupt the entire idea of experiment as he could say that 3 glimps are not enough and star breaking the entire idea of community feedback.
-
@YuisPinkBob said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2262666#Comment_2262666
Yeah, I understand that. I think the best way to find out what would break her and what wouldn't would be through testing so an amount of glimpses can be the default. I think add-ons that change the rate at which glimpses occur are potentially viable if done in a way that doesn't make her too strong or too weak. There should always be at least 1 glimpse when a Spirit phases - I don't think that any add-ons should allow the rate to be changed in a way where they do not occur.
Its what I said, 1 its very occasional, the 1 climpse should occur in a certain time, if it just occurs, it would be too bad, 1 glimpse is only to show if she is at your path or no, if only i glimpse, it could be if you can see the glimp just it happends in your field of view, and it remains for 2 seconds after occured. It would be kinda built in Premonition.

Oh. Right, Survivor breathing audio is shared. That would need to be fixed. What I meant is that to the Spirit, they wouldn't hear anything, but the Survivor would hear everything as normal. The Spirit would no longer see scratch marks, or hear the Survivors breathing, but a periodic indicator of the Survivors last known position. So basically all the people suggesting that Spirit blinks in and out of visibility while phasing, Instead make Survivors blink in/out of existence while phasing at least once during the duration. Survivors know when that occurs, but since it occurs always while in her TR they can't tell if she's phasing or not. Just that that is what she will be working off of if she was phasing.
Now it sound kinda better, before it was like the prayer add on but to everyone in and out of the terror radius. I still think that reducing sounds by 50% and being able to see scratch marks could be better, or the mechanic you talked about of the cold breath but always seeing the scratchmarks.

I honestly don't understand why not breaking her is a bad thing and why the glimpses would have a delay? They wouldn't move, they'd just be like the Spirit standing there.
What I meant by not breaking her is bad, is because my idea of what glimpses were was breaking spirit, it was like a path that she let behind everywhere she goes, so it would break her, if it was not breaking her, it was not good enough for the survivors to be considered a spirit nerf. Can you understando what Im trying to say?
