Numerically, 25% of the violet addon is 1.5 meters, making Nurse’s base maximum blink distance 21.5 meters. Assuming you’re removing that from the original addon to add to her base kit, Kavanaugh‘s last breath (now 4.5 meters; originally 6 meters) would be almost equal in strength to heavy panting (4 meters). This makes the purple addon almost useless as it’s much better to run the green addon since it’s cheaper with only a half of a meter difference. While usually one going for a full distance build will run both addons, I can’t in any right space of mind devalue an addon for such an insignificant increase to Nurse’s base kit max distance. That for one doesn’t need it.
Autohaven. I get Aurohaven in 75% of the time.

I know, right? She's soooo weak now. Let's give her 115% speed, a secondary ability that allows her to phase, a third one that allows her to wield a chainsaw, a fourth one that puts survivors in the dream world, a fifth one that gives her slowdown bottles, 5 blinks, a sixth one that allows her to wield ANOTHER chainsaw, maximum blink range in her base-kit, the ability to cancel blinks easily, a SEVENTH ability that allows her to teleport to generators, 24 metre terror radius, and an EIGHTH ability that allows her to go to stealth mode. And bam, Nurse is powerful again!
Or we could just take 25% of the TP Range from her violet Addon and give it to her Base Kit. This way its the same as it is now, but you dont HAVE to get those Addons.
I mean tecnically it isnt a problem to get the addons but it costs Bloodpoints and its not u expensive. So if you want to grind BP to spend it on another Killer/Survivor, this wont be effective, because you wont have enough BP for the other Characters left over if you have to spend 70-80% of your BP grinding out the Bloodweb to get those Addons.
I would love to see that for other Characters too. Nerf the Addons and buff the base Kit of the Killers. Its easy and effective on terms of frustration level.
@SallySlugson That was probably a massive grind what the 😅
I will add you now, couldnt do it yestersay because km from germany and it was like 01:40 am.
We can do the custom game now or later if you want and im very intetested in your game settings aswell (sensitivity, keybindings or whatever).

I play nurse without add-ons and win really quickly. Nurse is definitely not add on reliant. Here's an example. Watch until the nurse game is over, please. Also, I'd recommend turning your volume all the way down because my voice is pretty annoying.
Bro nice Background Music in the Video 😂
Uhm to be honest with you...This is low rank. The Survivors literally doing nothing. They even drop pallets for no reason my god 😂😂😂😂
I can sent you a clip of a 63 seconds 4k in rank 10 (survivor ranks) if you want, to prove this is very common there.
I want to see you doing this against at least 2 Rank 1-3 Survivors.
Those Surv in your Videos act like they never faced a Nurse. They dont double back (which is easy to learn basic stuff), they didnt act unpredictable. OF COURSE you kill them. Of course you do.
I talk about high rank. in high rank with controller...Man you having a hard time there hitting anyone. Trust me, its not like in your videos.
Also if you want we can do a custom Game and i bet you cant hit me 1 time in 1 Minute. Every Map, you choose and without addons. Have fun 😂

You get matched against red ranks, because there are not enough killers around.
Deranking won´t help, as the matchmaking ends up matching rank 17 killers with red ranks. Simply because it can´t find other killers in a determined time.
Plans for fixing this: the skill based mmr will remove ranks all together. Some people had great matches during the 24h test. Others didn´t. So we can only guess how much longer it takes, before they will introduce the new mmr.
Good thoughts about that but i dont think this could work :/
Its because there are way more Survivors (probably most swf) and you would nearly always go against them like it is right now, but perhaps with way lower queue time.
Also i dont want to face beginners, who dont know what they are doing. I mean it happens here and there and tbh if i see someone is a complete beginner, i let him/her survive, because its so unfair.

People who are pros at Nurse are going to clean house majority of the time. She’s perfect to get around loops and pallets. Sure you can juke her for a bit but eventually you will mess up and get hit
Yes, they are pros. Pros are very good players natural but does this mean we have to nerf Nurse into the Ground, so no normal player can even get 1 kill without hook camping?
Its the Pro player which is good and not the Killer (Nurse). Nurse itsef is THE WORST Killer in the Game but IF you can manage to be very, very very good with her, you can have great games and fast 4ks. High skill cap -> high potential reward.
-
@Dragonshensi said:
Is this a troll post? I dread going against Nurses cause a lot are good and can end the match before barely any gens done
Well i guess you need more practise against Nurse.
-
I agree with that but i also have to say that Nurse got her TP which potentially let you ignore Loops. The Question is: How good is that Power, if everything else is Crap over 9000?
Well without her max Tp Range addons Nurse is literally unplayable. With this Addons, she is one of the strongest killers. Why is that a bad thing?:
Its a bad thing because Bhvr should balance the Killers on its own and not around their Addons. The Killer should be playable WITHOUT Addons. This means Addons need to be way worse, because we dont want to break the Balancing.
-
I would not like do remove if completely, but they could tweak it, so the first dc/leave is free per day and the second one is 5 mins, third one is 10, after that 30 and 1 hour after several leaves/dcs in 24h of real time.
I guess further stacking is not good for the Game. 1 Hour is enough punishment i guess and almost 6 minutes for the first dc (how it is now) is too much imo. I want do get 1 leave for free per day or lets say only 30s to 1 Minute. This is enough.

i really like to play dead by daylight as survivors but honestly i have to say, there is some killers who are so overpowered Nurse,Nightmare, trickster and the aim assist is the worst thing that works on ranged heroes,
i play as survivor solo lobby A killer start Tunnel me until i die no once can do anything he just wants me to dead after mi got hooked he goes to another survivor it means killer has same perks slots + his own Power but survivor only has 4 perks.
The game is in killers favour,i don't like that , it's so frustrating. New updates are just coming but no one was solving this thing.
Bro thats a Game Mechanic. The Killer HAS to be stronger then a single Survivor, because he is playing 1v4 😂😂😂
So this means he can get you if he wants to, but it will cost time, because you can loop him for some minutes and your mates rush gens. If he gets you, there are 2-3 gens done in higher ranks.
So its always better and easier to play Survivor, even if you cant 1v1 the killer or whatever you think the game is about.

I want to switch from Ps4 to PC. But without crossprogression i would lose everything. Over 2000 hours. So i probably will still play on ps4 and quit when i dont use my ps4 anymore. So i would want to know what you would do if you would be forced to start from zero?
I would just quit and if the devs implement real cross progression and not only from stadia to steam (lmao), then i would come back and buy the game for pc.

Spirit is punished a million times harder for missing phase hits than Nurse is for missing blink hits. The Nurse doesn't have to waste time breaking walls or pallets, and the latter--along with pallets--are detrimental to survivors most of the time.
Nurse's skill ceiling is high, but the comparison is that Spirit's skill floor is high. It's much harder to survive an average Nurse than an average Spirit, even. You only get so many chances to juke a Nurse before you lose to attrition, and the fact is that Spirit just doesn't provide anywhere near as many chances for success.
No. Nurse has the hardest punishments for missing hits, not Spirit lmao.

@MadLordJack said:
Nurse. I just really, really hate Nurse. I find her far easier than everyone else claims, even easier than Spirit. At least with Spirit I have to pay attention. I don't even need that with Nurse in the significant majority of trials, not since I have a modicum of sense and some basic ability to land blinks.
And that translates to hating going against her. I hate everything about it. I hate the break LoS and make a wild guess, I hate the no-win situations, I hate that you have no real control as a survivor and are just hoping the Nurse is bad, I hate the massive slugging, I hate the ruin and the pop and the Infectious Fright, and above all I hate that everyone just jerks off the Nurse for 4king us but if I'm playing Spirit with no perks or add-ons and get 2 kills I'm an absolute ######### who deserves to have her front teeth knocked out.
And Knockout/IF/Third Seal. How. #########. Fun.
Hmm sounds like you need more practise against her. Just play Nurse like 2 or 3 Months and learn her. Now you will know what really hurts a Nurse.
All the great Guides on YouTube are really not very helpful as obviously Nurses can see this aswell and adapt to it. This doesnt mean the Tipps cant work but most of the time they are very limited to a specific movement pattern which is easy for most Nurses to counter such as double backing in a straight line or just running and breaking Line of Sight.
I can suggest, and this is what most Nurses, even good ones will have a very hard time: Be unpredictable. The Moment your Movement can be predicted like going upstairs or going for a long corridor is your dead. You need to have room for your movement. Killer Shaq can be good because Line of Sight can be broken pretty easily and you got enough space to work with. Now and this is important!!: Try to watch where she is blinking at and you need to hear when she is blinking. And remember: there are Nurses faking a direction to blink at ant last millisecond flick to another spot to catch you. If you cant manage especially those 2 last Tipps, then you are probably dead anyways.
Also try to use your enhanced Vision (3rd Person). Remember you can probably look above Objects and see her, but she can (if you do it right) not see you.
Perks i would strongly reccoment iron will as most Nurses rely heavy on sound Informations if you Break Line Of Sight. Otherwise its simply guessing and this is not very good for a Nurse. A good Team will help you staying alive against her with spamming fast vaults so steps will be overmatched with the fast vault sound. Pretty damn helpful i can tell!
Another Thing is: There are Console/Controller Nurses out there like me and the best Thing you can do against them is just 360 and "dancing around them" after they try to land their second blink in your face. They have do decide, where to flick bc obviously they have no 360 degrees vision. But be careful, dont get too close to her and you need to find a good place to do this with many objects around you such as trees, tables or something.
There is another Thing with Console Nurses: For most players its like: Do i keep my 70% sensitivity and can blink precisely or do i want to flick better, go for 90-100% Sensitivity to go for the 360 Survivors? They have to decide.
So with all that said i think there is more then enough counterplay potential and everyone can outplay/outsmart Nurses if you dont let her win the upper hand in a chase. It takes time, but it is worth not to give up. I personally have no respect for Nurses at all because i just act rly unpredictable and do weird stuff and this will throw everything off they have learned as Nurse. Since i spammed Nurse in the last months i didnt lose a single match to her (not even getting hooked once!).
Oh and for me when im playing Nurse its like there are some types of players. There are the always double fake spammers (easy clap for me), there are the always run in a straight line away from me (easy clap), there are players using a mix of that (still easy enough to catch) and there are the very good survivors, being very unpredictable and if you watch like SupaAlf's 4k Videos you will see, the Survivors (most of the time) are just not that good as they literally doing nothing to prevent the Nurse from snowball the whole Match but i have to say Its obv. harder against 4k Hours Nurses then against like 1k Hours Nurses.
So combine everything and build your unique(!) playstyle against her and you will have a fun time - even at high ranks. Cheers.
-
So the Drops also occur if a gen is done and i use my right analog Stick to look around nearby. Nothing happens (60fps smooth) as long as the gen wont appear on the screen. If i look around and can see the gen on my screen, there is stuttering/fps drops.

I'd like if unlocked teachable perks would be instantly available on every killer as lvl 1. It would reduce one third of the grind.
Pls no. The grind is part of the Game and it wouldnt be very fun to play if you didnt had to grind the first matches with only 1 lvl 1 perk. Sure you will get most likely destroyed but you will see improvements with every perk lvl you unlock.
The real Problem here is not the grinding. It is the fact, that the Characters are balanced around their addons and perks.
Maybe they could turn xp rates a bit more up. Like 110-125% from how it is nowadays. Guess it wouldnt destroy anything, as for most players, grinding is a torture.

I don't play killer that much, and after the matches I had this evening, I remember why not. I'm in green ranks, but there are constantly 1-2 red rank survivors in my lobby. Games are super fast, gens pop left and right even though I try not to chase one person too long, run Ruin and chase survivors off the gens. Most of the matches were 0k or 1k, there just weren't enough time to kill anyone.
How the ######### do you do it.
Bro i just had the same Problem today! Im on ranl 9-10 Killer and got 3 times the same Survivor Group with 2 rank 1 players and me with my controller nurse. You can imagine how embarrassing that was for me to get dunked.
I gotta say they were really friendly to me after the first match. The second and third time they didnt teabagg and flashlight spam anymore and they told me i shouldnt give up on trying to learn nurse. Very nice people.
So to answere your Question on how to preassure gens: Against "not so great" Survivors you just could choose a 3 gen strat and let the other 2 get finished. I guess you would have to take pop goes the weasel and noed in order to make this work well.
I rly dont know how you could do well against high rank survivors if they rush gens bc undying nerf makes gen Regression perks useless imo.
So yeah maybe we should play more as survivor 😅

I tried blight and well... It wasnt much fun for me on console, because i cant rly flick precisely with my analog stick. I guess you understand the problem here 😂
But i think you could have fun with him if you try hard enough or just play with mouse and keyboard and try a little less hard 😛
Overall i think he is not that viable compared to other killers like spirit, doctor or freddy but for fun and a little challenge here and there i think he could do pretty good.
-
I dont know if this helps but for me it feels like ds ruined the match for me as a killer in a few matches and if i olay Survivor it felt... pretty useless (i had it only as green perk and no violet perks equipped).
I had much nore success using escape perks.
-
Most Survivors prefer it to play against a Nurse, because she requires a lot more skill then playing a perkless Survivor.
There is so many counter play potential, which most good survivors or even survivors from rank 10-5 know pretty well.
If you play it right = you win
if you let the nurse snowball = you lose
Its a s simple as that. Nurse used to be too strong, but she isnt anymore. Its the players that are very good, not the Nurse. The Nurse just provides a good amount of Utility to great Players, so they can do their stuff they need to do in order to have a chance against good survivors/swf.
Even the nerfed spirit is stronger then the Nurse.

Guys i have to write this comment, because i talked sht at some things.
First off all, the fps drops only seem to happen to xbox (series x) players.
Another thing is, there actually is aim assist - at least it feels like that. I have tested this today with the Trickster. It feels like he got aim assist. I dont know if its only the Trickster or if it is like death slinger or huntress too. Last time i tried huntress it seemed she hasnt aim assist but that was like 2 or 3 months ago.
So the Fps Drops are not on every map and not in every Situation. It only happens in some Situations but i still think it has to do with the light effects update or how you wanna call it. If Gens are done it can haplen and i noticed it in corn fields as i mentioned before.
So: I want to say sorry (especially to the devs). I chose the (rude) Title of this Thread, because i was so mad when i just had fps drops again (had a break for some weeks). And why i was so mad? Well because i love this game and it made me sad, Pc Players have an advantage. It kinda ruined the fun for me, because in some Situations i was like: "Omg, on Pc, with MnKB i would have hit that!". I guess some of you know how it feels 😅...
This is a bit off topic now but yesterday i saw the ptb changes to the hook struggle and i have to say this is one of the best Changes ever (for me at least and im killer main lol).
Thank you.

Easy there Dunson, without us console players your wait times would be 35% longer in lobby.
If a developer decides to make a title crossplay with a competitive fan base, they need to offer equal tools. You can adapt a controller to your pc... But if a ps4/xbox one player uses third party adapters for m&k they either deal with "modding" consequences or the 3rd party software is hot patched out immediately.
Thank you. Finally someone who understands the problem.

So i am complaining because i cant play some killers because of the Performance issues which came in a patch! Before that lightning update patch i had 0 issues with frame rate whatsoever.
And no, i didnt knew what i would get, because as i mentioned before, the game was running stable! Also i can expect the game runs smoothly on a good gaming machine nowadays and ps5 and series x are good enough.
By the way you just said its my fault because i bought the game on console, which is kinda true lol. I should not habe bought the game. Just Joking. I still love the Game.

So please, drop an offering for the reworked SAW map, no matter as survivor or killer and tell me that's stable 60fps and doesn't drop down to ~15fps in certain areas. I needed to adress that again because it's not only on the SAW map, but there you'll get an idea what i'm talking about. Something really went off with the lightning SFXs intruduced with 4.2.0. And i'm pretty sure it has something to do with your Ray Tracing plans.

Hey. I want to thank all of you very much for your numerous opinions and tipps!
So whispers can only tell the approximately position fo the survivor. I can often predict their movement. If i tp to a gen which is/was worked on, then i can track people easily down so imo there is no need for whispers.
Imo the only advantage it provides is when you try to find people which are walking right on the open field, which is kinda useless, as they doing literally nothing in that moment to carry the match, except for maybe healing. Also if they run, you will spot them easily.
For the other reasons: I can hear progress on a gen, so i know, they were there or still are. If im seeing scratches this is perfect. If not -> kick it (maybe) with Pop goes the weasel.
In most cases you can catch someone and IF will reveal the other survivors sitting around and try to safe your victim, while they will lose time and potentionally their wasting themselfes.
Also bbq i think is the single most important perk as i can always see what are they are doing. Yes they can fake their movement but i only see very few survivors trying that and only some of them get the timing right before they run the other direction.
So bbq and IF provide the most value for nurse overall. For me, they are a must have as i get so much Information out of it. I just love tracking perks on her so much :)
This is only my view of those perks and you might have a different view on things. Feel free to refer with your opinion! :)

I can't tell you how many times i've swinged at a survivor only for my weapon to go through or the Autoaim---- I mean Aim Dressing.. has Cucked me outta a down or a hit,
This patch (Besides twins update) Was a shitshow.. and I'm sorry but, if this is the path Bhvr is gunna continue down, then i'll just be on break until the Old movement is back..
(Yes i know they won't look at this post but even if that, i'm just tired of this patch altogether...)
Im playing on Xbox Series X at 4k and on that resolution the icons/ui was so small, i couldnt rlly hit the gen skill check because it was so small. So the new ui made things easier for me.
I also know the problem that i cant hit sometimes even tho i was directly behind them. You said something about auto aim like aim assist...? I rly dont see any aim assist ingame whatsoever. Could you explain this one further pls?
The Devs should just give you the option for new and old UI, so EVERYONE can be happy 👍

Any console players deal with game freezes (as a killer) during hooking, vaulting, dead hards, and basically any action? Just a slight momentary freeze, enough to completely be facing the wrong direction? Specifically those console players on last Gen consoles. Xbox One, & PS4. If so, have you since upgraded to the new Xbox or PS5? Did that go away?
Im on Xbox Series X and so far the only times i got fps drops is on Nurse blink & hooking someone. Also i got weird moments when i hit someone but the game doesnt recognise it instantly. The hit lands like 1s off the time my animation was completed.
I want the old graphics bacl before the latest updates. There were no fps drops or lags at all.

I suppose, it depends how you look at it from an outside perspective.
She's a lot harder to master than she was before and she isn't really beginner friendly (but she never was in the first place). But, if you can master her than you can easily clean up a team despite the nerf.
So, if you want to put the effort in to learn her than it's in your best interest to use perks that can help with that, like the ones I suggested above. I wouldn't stress about it if you can't get a used to her change, she wasn't easy to learn before but now she's a lot harder to get used to.
Yes he can. You can also win in lottery. Witch Crossplay enabled (you can turn it off, but you wont find any lobbies on xbox), you will face tryhard players of doom. Even at rank 13 nearly everyone knows you have to go for a weird and u predictable movement. This is so easy to do and the most efficient way to counter her blinks.
So this means nowadays you will just get stomped. Yes, you can do a 4k and yes you can be good with her but you will always have a massive disadvantage in comparison to a pc player for obvious reasons.
Once u made a mistake in a chase or trying to defend 3 surv on their hooks, its pretty much over. Well its easier to face camp with leather face and just press M2 to shred them ehile they are trying to come to safe the hooked Survivor. I recommend sticking with this playstyle on console, as nurse is a joke with controller and fps drops 😋👍

i got xim apex but in the xim forum staff is saying it wont work well enough to support the game so you have to take ither profiles which are not ment to work for DBD. This is because there is a weird acceleration built into the game mechanics so Xim Apex cant be the answere for that major problem.
tbh i wont try it out bc this wont work very well. Also i dont know if this is fully legal or banable in any way.
So the devs are meant to bring this feature. It cant be that hard to implement this feature for consoles, if they already got the code for that. They probably only need to translate it and tweak it for a good functionality. This could surely be done in a few hours or less by 1 person.

Can someone explain how a killer where he doesn't need to do anything to get his power. An anti-loop that is drop snares all around. That makes Doctor and Clown laugh at how simple it is. A good detection tool since for some reason you can't crouch over it. A teleport that can reach any gen no matter how far a generator is make Oni, Billy, and Blight jealous. A character with little to no difference between a god tier Freddy and average Freddy. Freddy is the lamest simplest character in the game. He doesn't need to time or reload his anti loop no Cooldown and always has it. Doesn't need to do anything to get his power. A gen teleport where he doesn't need to find an angle around objects. Someone somehow explain if Freddy takes much skill.
Talking about required skill to use his power but survivors get free win perks with a very high skill required skillcheck (DS) or the glorious "i got unhooked but can still take 2 hits - hihihi" - Perk (BT). Now that takes skill i can tell.
Body Blocking and Teabagging help a lot too and only high skilled players can use these.
As one of the Devs said: Play something else.
So i quit playing Killer, because of these unfair mechanics :)
Just started again with Survivor yesterday and its so relaxed, i can sit on a Gen in my Corner and press a button every 10s and repeat this steps, while my team is bullying the killer while making a bbq party in his face.
BtT: Freddy and Spirit are probably the most balanced Killers in the Game right now as they are capable to actually win the match against swf.
With any other Killer (except you are maining a certain killer), i wish you best luck against swf, so i think freddy is fine because not everybody wants to full tryhard or main a certain character in order to be somewhat good with Win/Loss Rate.

I know this is an obvious question but have you completely powered down your consoles and restarted?
Thanks, Console restart worked. 👍

Yup, got the same Problem on Xbox Series X.

I've noticed it too.

Moin.

If I am on my first hook or a survivor is nearby hovering over the hatch waiting for me to die I will hold on as long as possible. I will hope that the killer gets you for being a wuss and chickening out at the last second.
I feel that. i wish you could report this kind of players.

Nurse is still possible on console. I'm a nurse main on ps5, and i haven't lost a single game as her in the last three years.
Ofc you can. Thats not the Problem. The Problem is, you are less competetive with Controller compared to mouse precision. This means you cant aim as accurate with your TP as if you got a mouse and thats the issue but as i said not only Nurse is a Character which is reliant on precise aiming/ crosshair positioning (whatever you want to call it).
With Crossplay on, this can be a bit difficult, because the game is designed for mouse and keyboard and thats how they balance the characters & perks. The Devs assume you are able to pull off the mechanics with mouse precision and thats how it affect your gameplay overall.

When it comes to high level play... Nurse is incredibly poorly designed. I've never seen anyone above 2/3000 hours defend Nurse's ability to outright remove game mechanics. The devs THEMSELVES acknowledge this, but justify it by progressively making her harder to learn.
I think a half decent nurse is fun to play against but when they are a literal god of prediction and timing its not very enjoyable.
Well if someone is a GOD with Nurse, doesnt the Player deserves a win?
Nurse (if the player is god tier) and Spirit are the most hated Killers, because Survivors cant make a bbq party in front of them while the killers are sweating for their lives. Survivors actually need to play the Game and not only sit at gens and klick a Button every 10 seconds.
So from my perspective as a main Killer, many things on the survivors side are unfair too, like: Decisive Strike. Its a free win if 4 people got this perk. Or the "I got unhooked and still can take 2 Hits hihihi -Perk" with the glorious 500 ps Dodge Challenger under their Backpacks and looping all day long till next x-mas.
You guys should rly dont get mad if you lose some matches. The Game is in favour of Survivors and you can say what you want but without your Top Tier perks you have to be careful how to play against killers. But this isnt what survivors want, so killers get nerfed to the ground so all those good equipped Survivors can have a good time - just like in horror movies ofc 😉
No Survivor respects a killer and i guess this wont change in the future.
The killer community will sooner or later die because who tf wants to get bullied every match? 😂 Well have fun waiting like 5-10 minutes for a match.

Priorities should be to finally optimize the game so EVERY plattform has at least stable 60fps (as promised a long time ago).
Then we can talk about M&K support again. Because M&K support or higher sensivity doesn't make sense when you have bad fps anyway.
Its off topic but You're right. Thats ofc a big Problem. Im on Xbox Series X right now and besides that firework from the event when you hook someone, i got no issues with framerate whatsoever. On the old gen (ps4, xbox one) i can imagine it can be very frustrating with fps drops etc.

Moin.
