Jusging off your name you are probably a toxic survivor main with the way you speak. what im saying is if they use odeas like this now then they are gonna feel undone because they could use fresher ideas first so killers can be balanced. Thats what you want right? Oh wait, your version of balanced is just you winning all your games.
They arent gonna feel undone lmao there are literally countless ideas they can do, and the timeline a killer comes from has nothing to do with balancing either, and judging by your other post talking about wraith and trickster it doesnt seem like you grasp balancing the best either. The time a killer comes from is the lore based, and them doing a modern killer doesnt change anything about the game or what killers they have planned. They had the twins planned out while the game was in beta, that's how far ahead they have killers planned

It's just not about him being weak, but also bugged chaser emblem, since knives injuries don't give you chaser points.
Yeah if he could atleast gain points from his knives it couldve been better, now I'm just glad I got the adept and I can use good perks

Hey guys. Sorry, this is a smidge of a self pity post. A bit of a disclaimer there. Basically the forum topic is the thesis statement and I wanna know what some of you other players either survivor or killer side do to really pick yourself back up from a bad loss that really hurts your motivation for playing your specific role.
So I was playing trapper, trying to level him up because my best perk for him is monstrous shrine and I have a nea and a dwight following me the entire time disarming my traps. This would only be my most recent game as him though as this is something that I've been dealing with for a while in trying to get actually functional perks for him.
My point being is that I was being countered so hard that it felt pointless to keep playing the match and it feels a bit pointless to keep playing as Evan there. It really hit me hard how reliant a lot of killers are reliant on their perks and are borderline unplayable when you have an opponent who counters you at every step.
EDIT: Just a small clarification, I hold no malice towards the survivors who were attempting to bait me into long well done loops and disarming my traps, they're just playing the game against a trapper. I understand this. This is more about how to pick one's self up after having all that ability taken from from, especially as someone as reliant on opponent interaction as the trapper.
For me while trying to learn new killers or even just play the game, I try to never really blame the survivors. This sounds insane I know, but even if they play really unsportsmanlike and really mean spirited, I just think to myself "Hey, I'm not the best with this killer and I've could've done better and there is always space to improve." I just try to keep positive about myself and after a hard loss I'll just take a quick 5 minute break getting something to drink or do something else to clear my mind before the next game. You can always do better, don't expect to be the best player when trying something new, it's not your fault and it wasn't theirs.

And where was this stated? Because the obvious, first impression is that he is mocking the people who complained by showing a res that doesn't help at all.
Have you watched the video? It is him making fun of people using it. The video is comically extremely stretched and he talks about how he just thinks it looks nice and it totally doesnt give an advantage, when in reality it doesnt look good and its used for an advantage.

I didn't expect Jund of all people to notice this thread. Perhaps you were told about it.
And that's because it isn't, it's my personal reasons and your fans keep zeroing in on this.
Some of your arguments are also demonstrably false, the Spirit one in particular. A reason your opinions are so wide-spread is because you said what the community wanted to hear: "Spirit and Sling have no counterplay, just give up and suicide on the hook." It's much easier to give up and say "it's impossible" since it takes the burden of trying off of a person.
Not to mention that you apparently made a short 10 second Youtube video mocking people who complained about stretched res?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OCHKEVH2YBUB/stretched-res-dbd.png
Apparently, this is what they mean. They're referring to modifying the game files IIRC. Do you still think it doesn't exist?
His video was making fun of people who used stretched RES, not people who complained about it.

The saddest part is that ALL that recoil is perfectly uneeded. Not when you have already a swap stance time window, a wind up, no crosshair, a travel time, a fall off and a ammo count.
This killer have SO MANY downsides it's just insane.
Oh jeez you are a toxic human being, saying an opinion doesn't matter and ignoring all other points just because I said I actually viewed and watched someone? Really sad to see it.

That's what he likes to repeat, but anyone that have watched any of his videos would know that's not the case, like at all.
Tru3 is a killer main, Otz too. Scott is a survivor main that will pretend he is a killer main to use it as a starting point for is constant whining about how killers are strong. His video "An Idea to Make Flashlights More Interactive" is the perfect exemple of survivor dishonesty since it's real title should have been "An idea to make flashlights way stronger".
Oh I am a fan of Jund's and I catch his streams sometimes as well and I never see that, the ideas he proposes arent ever pro survivor, and in that video he just gave an idea on how flashlights could be more fun, flashlights, as they are now, aren't very good anyways, very easy to counter and play around.

Please, dont spread the myth that Scott care about "both side" and want a more "balanced and fun gameplay".
Otz? Sure. Tru3? Totally.
Scott? Nah. The guy is one of the most obnoxious survivor main that try to pretend he is not and one that ONLY want killer to be kneecaped at every possible opportunity.
Also, yeah, the killer is terribad in every possible aspect, ESPECIALLY when you start comparing him to other ranged killers like Huntress, Deathslinger or Plague (especially plague funnily enough).
You do realize Scott is a killer main right? He mains Oni, Blight, and he is known as an extremely good huntress as well. He isn't a survivor main in the slightest lmao.
-
Yeah I wish the devs weren't so scared to buff killers correctly. When they give Wraith a much needed buff, they also had to stack on the slowdown from windstorm as well. Just make the windstorm addons keep that instead. Like I just wish the devs would be ok with greatly improving killers, and Im sure survivors would appreciate much more too, I sure am sick of only going against nurses or spirits, making other killers much better would help it.

That niche is already covered by Ghost Face tho. Sure he isn't extravert, but he is that "serial killer artist who think he is hot stuff" and the whole body horror thing was covered by the blight too.
And what you just did here is prove that yes, is has indeed a niche, and rather specific one at that.
Again, I'm not criticizing the look, just the fact that, once again, it's fairly niche.
I agree it can be niche, but I dont think nothing is wrong with that, I think having some unique and very specific killers is nice, gives them more character. Ghostface I thought fit more in with the mysterious unknown serial killer trope or the civilian killer, being a normal person but secretly a dark murderer. Blight I also believed to have fell closer to the scientist experiment gone wrong trope but he could also be body horror as well. There are loads and loads of horror tropes and I think most the killers fit well and don't have anything in the same categories, but I do respect your opinion and I can see how they are niche.

I really don’t see how it’s trolling I’m just pointing out everyone only hates this chapter because “Kpoop bad grrr!!” Willing to bet if the killer had a different theme everyone would love him
Actually weirdly most the people on this forum love his look and aesthetic, the only real complaints are about his power because no matter how good you do with him, his problems are still blatantly there. You shouldn't have 3 different layers of slowdowns while using your power, and your ultimate shouldnt be worse to use than never using it at all.
-
@_HN_ said:
I mean, the whole "yandere bishonen Kpop singer serial killer" thing is not that bad... but it's also EXTREMELY niche....
And after the already very niche "medieval mutant french farm girl with lil baby brother half phetus tumor growing on her chest" killer, I'm starting to feel like the "creative team" is trying a bit too hard and probably should ring it in to some of the most comon (and still missing) horror trops for DbD.
I personally don't think he is very niche, and he does fill another horror trope, the serial killer artist, who finds his killing as well as his profession the best in it's class. Same with Twins, it filled the body horror trope in horror, being a grotesque killer with a twin who climbs out of her body is a bloody mess, Every killer still has it's purpose and place in horror. The main complaints for this chapter seem to be the gameplay which is fully understandable and he really needs help, but his look and aesthetic is amazing, and the art department really nailed it for me.
-
I really hated the saw movies but ive grown to enjoy them much more, the later ones still arent the best though lmao.
-
I personally believe they should make laceration never go down so you can stack damage and profit off of it later, and they should take away all slowdown. He is already very short so I think taking away slowdown and fixing his laceration could really make more unique and much better. Main event just needs like everything about it fixed honestly.
-
It is reasonable to say he is weak but everyone saying he needs insane reworks to make him better is a little silly. I've said it a lot but he could have just some number changes like no sway or recoil while throwing, and make laceration work better and I don't think he would be awful. I want to love every killer in this game, but I believe they made him basic and didn't make many changes to attract more of the Korean fan base, and after awhile they will buff him better.

We've finally gotten to the most OP perk in Dead By Daylight. Now we gotta decide if it's as OP as literally everyone thinks it is. Yea right.
Beast Of Prey is a teachable perk for the Huntress, regarded by many to be the single
BESTWORST perk in the game! Is it really though? Could it be used for something else other than adept Huntress?https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1UR7OI7ICZGL/beastofprey.gif
Not really. But of course that's my opinion, now it's time to hear your opinion.
Where the hell did she go? G.
I believe Beast of Prey could give you undetectable after leaving a chase for 45 seconds and it ends when you get a hit. Maybe give it a 30 second cooldown inbetween.

What about some very little changes? I'm aware making some new animations are much extra and hard work, but could some nice number changes help him as well as not putting so much stress on the devs? I know you guys have been doing wonderful for the recent killer tweaks, and Trickster could use some little number changes as well. Thank you anyways for still giving us some kind of information and it is greatly appreciated!❤️

Lets wait and test him before we judge.
Twins and Blight were both broken and bugged in the PTB and Blight got fixed during the PTB, and we had to wait about a week after the PTB for the twins to get their buff, but with the Twins, they needed a new animation created.

Ooh a perk that literally gives us a one time stun becomes even more useless lets post about it using titles such as "tick tock tick tock Decisive nerf is coming" or "no longer can survivors rely on a broken perk to give them yet another second chance" all this nerf has done had piss off the ones who do use it and piss off others that have to read this trash on the forum
The players who actually care about balance and fun for everyone don't care about the decisive nerf. Ive seen countless killer mains AND survivor mains that are happy with it, and most people should know it's not really a nerf, it still does exactly as it should, it just cannot get abused. So if you are mad it got nerfed, and you are trying to cause more toxicity, you are really the problem.

It's ridiculous to expect big changes to a killer in only a week. They probably started preparing for changes coming in the mid-chapter patch or fixed some bugs. Surprised you'd expect more.
I don't even expect huge changes, all Trickster needs is small number changes to greatly improve him. Could've easily been done in 3 weeks.

Well it seems like nothing maybe some bug fixes but had that extra week to get clown treatment.
Nothing rip this chapter and yet again have shown that you didn't listen to even your fog whispers. The people you hand picked to represent dbd.
Or even ptb feedback
I think they are doing a pretty good job. Am I right?
Edit my bad they listened to everything that isint related to the trickster. The newest chapter
I think what sucks the most is that he could be fixed with something as simple as some number changes and he would be much better. IMO all he needs is a fix to laceration, but he only got minimal changes.
-
@Shroompy said:
He can still be buffed, just to name a few that have been from PTB and are in a solid place now: Spirit, Ghost Face, Blight
Yeah, but to be fair, they were buffed in the PTB, not after the PTB which is what BHVR has been doing. IMO all they really needed to do to really help Trickster is make his laceration not go down during chase, and you lose laceration slower out of the chase. Most killers usually just need number changes to really help but BHVR acts as if they need hard reworks to be better.
-
Yeah not the biggest fan of this trickster outfit, I much more prefer his regular outfit. Doesn't help the fact he is still gonna be weak.

Tomorrow is going to be a really good day for killers. A patch that brings a new strong fun killer, 3 really good perks, not only 1 but actually 2 more killers being buffed. An awesome beat at the campfire.
While the new survivor coming looks nice, her 3 perks is nothing like the good killer perks as usual. Yet another survivor nerf included in the patch to make it even easier for killers.
I can’t wait to be tunneled with a dead perk by a good looking dude with 60 knives after I touched the objective or heal a wound.

That would be ok. Tbh..Smart survivors end up bailing on a loop anyways. My snares very rarely even get use in good games. My freddy ends up being a basic m1 with decent map mobility to help me get in to another chase faster. I proposed in another thread to just rip off Oni. His snares astetically are made of blood. Just let him collect blood from injured survivors to make use of his snares
Yeah I believe making him a resource management killer would help him be much more skillful but still strong.
-
@Lord_Tony said:
nurse and spirit are the only 2 killers capable of going against sweaty swf.
either nerf swf or buff all other killers to be on par with nurse and spirit.
Simple, buff all the killers to where any killer can be viable, and fix the way the game just plays. You will never be able to get rid of SWF and so they should fix the actual gameplay around it.
-
@Lord_Tony said:
So I'm suppose to just take that free stun with no drawbacks to your perk?
oh but the "counterplay" is avoiding lockers. K.
so just avoid literally every single locker then and commit to zero chases. Great
This has to be bait, it's a very easy to counter exhaustion perk that is known as the meme exhaust perk.
-
I wouldve said wraith but he is getting that tasty buff tomorrow so definitely trapper. Otz had to make a new rule for his 50 wins in a row challenge for trapper just so he could use an addon.
-
@RyRapsYT said:
They should remove his snares/pallets and just have the gen teleport thing.
His power isn't actually op, it's easy to use, that is why it's annoying, at least to me. I feel that if they made his power more thought provoking it would help him. I propose that his abilities take out of the same resource pool as his teleport, similar to Pyramid Head. This means his snares require more thought and you actually have to think of them as traps. If you spam snares, you cant teleport as much. If you teleport, you can't use snares for a little bit.
-
@Dragonshensi said:
I don’t main these killers, haven’t tried Spirit and only tried Nurse once. I’m on PS4 and quite frankly playing as her made me sick and I couldn’t grasp her power at all, but that’s besides the point.
With the amount of survivor and youtubers complaining about always facing off against Spirit and Nurse in red ranks and such it’s almost a guarantee these two will get nerfed, and hard. I honestly don’t think either should be touched and I hate facing off against them as survivor myself. They are the only two killers that have a chance in red rank against SWF teams. If they are nerfed in any way I believe even more killer players will leave the game, cause you took their only way to face off against highly capable survivors. I mean who else they gonna use against these kind of players? Clown? Lol. Legion? Myers? No. If/when these two killers are nerfed it’s going to damage the game badly and the player base will suffer.
This should honestly be common knowledge for all games, but don't nerf the strong things, buff the weak things. Spirit and Nurse at most should get slight adjustments, but they should make where all the killers are much more viable.
-
I love this idea but the first perk should be changed, you cant have a perk that connects to a killers ability, its like if there was a perk that applied madness to survivors like the doctor.

That's one of a good number of articles that say "Developer Behaviour Interactive teamed up with Kevin Woo from the K-Pop band U-KISS and DJ Swivel, a Grammy-Award winning, Canadian music producer who has worked with groups like BTS. Both will help make sure the K-Pop industry and community are accurately portrayed."
I think I misread the quote, though. DJ Swivel is the Canadian music producer who's worked with BTS, and Kevin Woo is from the K-Pop band U-KISS, they're different people. Regardless, I'm still pretty sure neither had a hand in the chase theme.
Which sucks more is that if Behavior was fully in charge and not collabing, they couldve made the Trickster's lore much better. The Kpop music industry is actually kind of messed up and they treat those singers poorly to make them these big idols and symbols, but because producers helped with the chapter they make the industry seem perfectly ok and not corrupt, even though Caleb's (Deathslinger) was about being used by the system and knowing the world and where he lived will always treat him bad.

Ever thought of having Jeepers Creepers as a killer, he be really unique, he can fly so ding ding!!! Ability is flying so he can see all survivors from the sky. And sky dive towards a survivor and grab em, which makes “The Creeper” eligible to hook. Like one hit drop like if you grab em off a gen or locker type of animation. A survivor can be can be the girl or boy from the first movie or both!!!! It can be another type of “Stranger Things” Chapter!!!!! Lmk it’s been in my mind for months now.?
While I enjoy Jeepers Creepers movies, the director had some really bad knowledge come up about him, him being a pedophile, and so the series is basically ruined.

I personally think Hex Perks should be extremely powerful, like all of them should be OP, because it's a perk that survivors can take away. Survivors decide how much value you get out of totems, but so many totem perks arent even that good.

A few days ago I got into a discussion about how the weaknesses and limitations of killers (not in gameplay but as a character) don't matter. This really stood out to me as the big issue with people who don't understand why killers like Pennywise or Nemesis can't be added to the game. Some people are so adamant to have Mr X added to the game that they forget to picture him being stunned by a 6 inch thick pallet of wood. Some people in the community don't understand the reason why killers like Freddy and Demogorgon work in the game and characters like Pinhead and Nemesis don't. I really would like to clear this up if anyone is confused about this.
Man this whole thread was people giving you exact reasons why it would work and you saying it wouldn't. Your exact argument was used against Pyramid Head as well, but now Pyramid Head is in the game. The Devs are the ones who create the lore and the rules, not you, if they have said they would love characters like Pennywise, and many others that means if they got the licenses, they would make it work. Almost no killers and horror icons are out of question, anything is possible and the Devs have shown in the past they can make any killer idea work. The entity invited Pyramid Head to fight for it, it didn't take it. Same thing could be done for Pennywise. Oni USED to be human, but in his lore it says that the Entity made him into the living embodiment of an oni, a legendary insanely powerful samurai spirit. Freddy in his movies was a metaphysical being, only in his own realm and world. In the game they made an entire new concept for him, and he is physical now. Anything is possible and you aren't helping anyone or letting people know some forbidden knowledge, you are just saying to stop having hope for something people like because YOU think, not know for a fact, that they won't happen. This anniversary is coming and it's said to be licensed, hope its RE or Pennywise now so you can seem much worse

You could do something like Hex:Shifting Winds. Hex totem shifts every 60 seconds if dull totem still exists on map. You get alerted to every shift. Shift won't happen if survivor is working on current totem.
For every shift that happens, gain a token. Each token gives 2% cooldown or boost (you pick). So a 5 minute match could give you a -10% cooldown on abilities, +10% movement speed, etc.
Pair it with Corrupt Intervention and Undying and the mid-end game pressure would be intense as longer games fuel the power.
Oh man that idea is extremely great, I love the idea of a hex that tries to protect itself and be confusing switching places, paired with something like haunted it could be scary!

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU AND YOUR COLLEAGUES HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO REBALANCE KILLERS IN DEAD BY DAYLIGHT!
John Behavior, the owner of Behavior, has hired YOU to work with his son, Jimmy DeadByDaylight, to work on his most popular game, Dead By Daylight! Upon getting hired, you were informed of your mission, which is as follows:
The community of the game feels that Killers are, in their current incarnation, a bit too strong. However, Killers are a big part of the game. As such, they need YOU, yes YOU, to go in and rebalance the game. Your goal is to make changes to Killers, specific or globally. As you do so, remember that players must be willing to play as those Killers, but those Killers must be made more manageable/fun for the Survivors.
1: You CANNOT outright remove the core mechanics of a specific Killer. You CAN change how those mechanics behave. IE: Huntress throws hatchets, you cannot change that. She can, however, throw them slower or less accurately.
2: You CANNOT outright remove perks or their core function. You CAN change how those functions are applied. IE: Barbeque & Chili allows Killers to see Auras upon hooking a Survivor. How many, how far away, and specifics of what they are/aren't doing in order to be detected it open for change. Furthermore, this perk CAN be changed to a Hex.
3: You CANNOT create new global Killer mechanics, but you CAN modify or outright remove them. IE: You may remove Bloodlust as a mechanic, but you cannot create a replacement for it.
4: You CANNOT outright remove a Killer. People pay money for them, and work went into creating them, so they must all stay.
5: You CANNOT outright remove or create any Killer Addons or Offerings, but you CAN modify them.
Remember, players must be willing to play as Killers, but they must be made to make the game feel better for Survivors. How you do this is up to you. At any given time, if you make a single change that is seen as so debilitating for a Killer or all Killers that it becomes clear the Killer(s) would be far too weak, John Behavior and Jimmy DeadByDaylight will send their Judge of Hell (Scoops) and Unholy Executioner (Nea) to remove you from the project, as well as your mortal coil.
Go forth, and rebalance DEAD BY DAYLIGHT!
https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Dead-By-Daylight-Killers.jpg
All changes will be listed here. They come in 3 Categories: Global Killer, Specific Killer, and Killer Perks. This first post will be modified to show the changes made. Scoops may show up to declare a change seeming too drastic. Nea may show up to outright shoot down a change. With a glock.GLOBAL KILLER
SPECIFIC KILLER
TRAPPER
- Starts with 6 traps
- Bear Traps take longer to disarm
- Lockers allow Trapper to gain traps.
- Any function to pass over a trap without setting it off will cause the trap to become "Inactive." During this time, anyone may pass over it without setting it off. Lasts 6 seconds.
- Maps can only track "Inactive" or closed Bear Traps.
- Escaping a Bear Trap is now based on a set amount of time.
- Disarming a Bear Trap now requires a Skill Check. Failing the Skill Check or cancelling the disarm will trap the Survivor.
- Bear Trap hitboxes have been increased.
WRAITH
HILLBILLY
- Overheat only occurs within 12 meters of a hooked Survivor. Outside of 12 meters, Overheat will cooldown.
NURSE
- The Nurse now moves at 4.4m/s.
- The Nurse can no longer Blink through solid objects.
SHAPE
- The Shape can now Multi-Stalk.
- Charging Evil Within is much slower when Multi-Stalking.
- Addon: Judith's Tombstone - Evil Within 3 requirement slightly lowered. Killing Survivors drains drains Evil Within.
- Addon: Tombstone Piece - The Shape may now drop to Evil Within 1. Charging Evil Within is significantly faster. No longer allows The Shape to kill Survivors.
- The Shape now starts with Evil Within 2. Killer ability button (CTRL on PC) allows The Shape to switch between Evil Within 1 and 2.
- The maximum charge per Survivor for Evil Within is now increased.
HAG
- Phantasm Traps can now be wiped away by Survivors.
- Walking no longer triggers Phantasm Traps.
DOCTOR
HUNTRESS
- Hatchets now have a smaller physics box, which adhere closely to the hatchet model.

Note: If the thread fails to take off or dies, so be it. It's a chance for fun and likely frustration.Don't worry sir, I'm here. I believe Oni should gain extra blood per hit just like as if he hit the first m1 on a healthy survivor even on injured survivors, but blood gives less charge, and you also don't passively gain charge. The addons that affect charge now makes blood orbs give more charge instead.

So I love the idea of tiering up freeze and warm fires (one suggestion I made on other thread). I do like how it is treated like Doctors Shock Therapy.
In fact I wouldn't even mind if Blizzard worked like Static Blast thats tied to your initial TR. But the decrease amount still happens. So you can run Distressing and affect everybody's freeze level in your TR, but drop to say 18m. You can even have a boost where you see auras withij 18m out during that 40s.
As perks go, i enjoy the first two perks as is. 3rd i don't like as is. You can go in and target super safe pallets (upstairs in Ormond) with only a 3s penalty? I'd say this needs a cooldown as it eliminates looping tremendously with little punishment (especially when your freeze attack causes slippage already). I'd give it a 120/100/80 cooldown on par with Oppression.
I agree and Ive always had an idea for a perk that could predestroy pallets, so I put it in but I'm completely open to changing the perk as well, I tried thinking of some other ideas but couldnt think of a good one, I did want a hex perk on him but couldnt think of a nice one.

It would be rough for some situations but a lot of perks can be told the same situation. The way it can be countered is by just tapping the gen once right after he kicks it, or let him get the 45 seconds of normal regression. I feel like against strong survivors it still wont be as strong as it may seem. Since a survivor can just tap and regression stops, the perk will disable and be put on cooldown. And if the killer camps the gen, then the other two gens can be done.

The second perk should probably be a hex considering the implications it has--if you kept people off the gen for only about a minute then it's double the power of pop goes the weasel without any of the requirements. Now imagine that with a gen 3-stack, survivors just couldn't compete with it. The third perk is also too overpowered for destroying the shack pallet allowing for basement camping too easily. I am a killer main btw, just saying this for survivor's sake.
I agree, for the second perk I wanted an extremely strong gen perk that rewards you pressuring and keeping survivors off that gen, but also the way it works is since it lasts 45 seconds, if someone touches it at 40 seconds, it's 80 seconds of regression, but if they tap the gen right after you kick it, it basically turns off the perk. So survivors have to either let it go for 45 seconds till the perk goes off, or click it as early as possible to reduce the damage and put the perk on cooldown.

You could have a perks that progressively makes you more resilient to pallet stuns maybe
Like every time you get stunned you get a token up to 4 that reduces your stun time by 20% each. Could make it not stack with enduring though
That could be really good, maybe the more you get stunned you get faster at some other things, I'll keep that idea in mind, thanks!

I just saw that post and questioned if it was the same OP lol ill check it out later, but did you and OP collab or something, or is it you both came up with similar killers?
I actually wrote mine out about a month ago, but I never posted it only showed it to some friends, but I saw OP's post with the same killer name and thought hey lmao I may as well post mine.

I like the first two perks but practise makes perfect is a bad idea since you would just break shack pallet every match
I thought so too lmao i was trying to think of some better ideas for it but couldnt think of anything off my head, I was basically going for that Yui Perk but for Killer.

I created an entire document for a character like this too named the Mountaineer. If anyone would care to see it i can make a post, but he basically was a map control character with status effects, and his ability let him create ice on the ground that caused running to be harder to control making survivors run less efficient. I wrote his lore and perks as well.

Not sure how people aren't seeing his movement speed punishes his knife throws. If he didn't lose so much ground speed throwing his knives, he could actually hit his quota easier. Buffing his movement would actually promote the knives as well. I understand the concern of M1'ing becoming the normal, but survivors gaining so much foot coverage over him slowing down is what can lead to him chasing being so punishing.
I'm just going to keep copy pasting my current outlook on buffs he needs.
Main Event - Can be activated on demand whenever it is earned, instead of the current use or lose.
Speedster - Movement speed increased. He is ranged, but his damage isn't instant like Deathslinger or Huntress. And he has to keep up to the Survivor to continue the Laceration counter unlike Plague who can spray them once and leave. His power is no where near Hag and Nurse power. This would also help his map pressure.
Trick Blades - I do think ricochet as base could have potential. I'd say bouncing blades either do less damage (like 50% or 75%) or regular damage. The add on can be the 200% bouncing or just straight up make a new one.
Laceration Meter - Takes longer to decay and decays slower. This won't punish him as much for switching targets. Currently switching targets just took away all of your work if you didn't fill the meter to get the damage or down.
I do agree with most those changes but I believe movement speed isnt the issue. While yes, movement speed doesn't help him right now at all and really hurts him, it's clear there is a reason they made him 110%, which means they want him to be a ranged killer like the others. The Devs I believe also stated after awhile of him being released they are going to see how good he is compared to Deathslinger and Huntress, meaning they see him as up to their level. I don't believe he is up to their level either but he could with some good buffs to his kit. Honestly making it where he takes maybe 7 instead of 8 knives, and then making it where laceration doesnt go down in chase and out of chase goes down extremely slow would make him much better. A good trickster honestly can hit those 8 knives very fast and accurately anyways, and making it where he can just damage more reliably and keep pressure with damage would help him lots. Also make main event give you 0 slow down along with all the buffs it gives currently. It should be a moment of zooming around throwing knives and right now its kinda useless or not strong at all.
