Slightly won't make the cut for killers like Trickster and Myers. It may be enough for Blight, Artist, and Dredge but everything under the A tier needs much more than slight buffs.
I completely agree, for sure some killers are much weaker than others; they should slightly up them case by case 😉

Shrodingers' Nurse:
- The Nurse player is good at Nurse.
Or
- The Nurse player sucks at playing Nurse.
There is no in-between.
Nurse is fine. She's either god tier or absolute garbage. She's necessary, unless you want survivors winning every game. She's the only killer who gives good survivors a run for their money, because she ignores their defenses, which no other killer can do to the same extent. Unless they're planning on majorly buffing every killer to compensate for a Nurse Nerf, she should be left as is.
She forces survivors to play differently, which is good for the game, even if survivor mains with their numerous second chance perks think otherwise. No, looping and holding W key should not win you every match, sorry. Nurse punishes survivors who get too cocky thinking they're gods, leveling the playing field. Plus, she already was nerfed. So she's fine. Adapt, and learn to play against her.
"So she's fine. Adapt, and learn to play against her."
This sentence sums it up so well that I think when I play my nurse, I'll rename my account like that ☺️

She ignored everything so back then so she was band aid fix for that problem. But now dbd is changed every patch more and more killer sided so that means nurse is just getting stronger and stronger. She needs to be reworked fine change would be to start an m1 killer with 115% movement speed and earn her power. Oni has second bes power in game and he has to earn it so it's ridicious nurse can just start with it. Oni could start with his power to make him more viable at higher mmr where survivors just pre drop every single pallet and still he would much weaker than nurse.
Unlike the Oni, who can still catch up with the survivors by walking normally if his power does not allow him to, the nurse cannot; this is the counter effect of his power ☺️
I am always amazed to read that what you want, in the end, is to turn the nurse into an easy-to-brain, easy-to-bully, easy-to-talk-about killer 🤨
How hard is it to accept that, 1) she's more complicated to deal with than other killers and 2) you should learn to play against her?
But if you still think she's OP, I'm waiting for your videos of games against her, so we can see your gameplay.
Because after all, you do rate the nurse as "OP".
Well, let us evaluate your gameplay against her, to see if it's so "OP" too.
By the way, I was teasing you, but I really think that showing us how you play against the nurse would allow you to improve, or at least to understand some things. Maybe some people wouldn't care about your videos, but others would be more than willing to advise you and help you improve!

Maybe you didn't even read what you linked. The person who made that post about the "tournament" also said nurse is OP. So...ok.
The "buff solos to SWF and low tier killers to nurse level" is a terrible, terrible idea, I don't know why it gains any traction here. A game where each side is OP is not fun.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3063676#Comment_3063676
I have linked my twitch account multiple times here. It is always greeted the same way. The nurse players realize I am much more experienced than them and suddenly change the topic. The only time I have seen nurse gameplay from one of the nurse main defenders it was a disaster, a player who could barely move their camera to look behind them, and yet they still want to give much more experienced players advice on how to play well.
I never ever said that only good players play on the Korean server. Why must you twist my words to feel like you are making a point? Doesn't that mean your reasoning is super weak..?
The last three paragraphs are all nonsense, so I won't speak to them, but you seem to have read my prior comments. When have I ever said her basekit, the way she blinks should be nerfed?
I believe that:
Map addons need to be disabled for both sides. Too often map offerings are used by both sides to tilt the game way in their favor.
Many maps need to be shrunk
Blight's several busted addons need a rework
Nurse's busted addons need a huge nerf. Her attacks should not trigger perks. If this is not enough of a nerf, after some testing, she shouldn't have her power at the very start of a match, like dredge. Maybe give her 4.4 speed in that time.
SWF should be shown as a group in the lobby for the killer
Healthy grabs on unhooks should be removed from the game. This only promotes skilless face camping
While still keeping their randomness, all maps need to have their resources better situated. Sometimes the same map can be super killer sided, sometimes super survivor sided, just based on how things spawn and connect to each other.
Survivor perks should not be stackable.
The only one of my ideas that gets any backlash is the nurse one. The only possible reasoning is that these nurse mains don’t want to lose their busted toy. Too many of you don't realize how horrid playing as solo queue and a low tier killer on a strong survivor map is.
I have been consistent in always saying the same opinions as above.
As far as I'm concerned, the fact that you know how to play the nurse better than others will greatly increase your chances of getting through it, that's clear.
If four people who know how to play well against the nurse play together in SWF, their chances of win will inevitably be greatly increased, I agree.
That doesn't mean they'll always win; sometimes they might run into nurses who are stronger than they are.
And this is a very important point: the nurse, more than any other killer, can put a lot of pressure on the survivors very quickly, and can generate a much faster and more efficient snowball.
This means that if you want to fight effectively against a nurse, you must, as a survivor, be faster, more precise, more efficient, and more coordinated than if you were playing against a poor Caleb in Lery.
More than ever, the nurse is THE killer that requires survivors to be a team player.
So yes ... against 4 soloQ's who don't know how to counter the nurse, the nurse is in for a treat.
But is it her fault? Absolutely not.
Just like proposing that the nurse does not have her power at the beginning of the game.
I don't understand: how does the fact that she can teleport at the beginning of the game mean the defeat of the survivors? I want to say: there is no connection. Especially because whether a nurse wins her game will be determined by many other parameters.
The fact to show the killer that he is about to play against a SWF ... I'm divided: as much as it would allow the killer to choose to play more "quietly" ... but it could also penalize the chill SWFs, who just want to have fun and not bully the killer, by risking to lengthen their waiting time excessively
Unless you set up a reward system for the killer who agrees to play against a SWF, and a reward for the SWFs every time a killer leaves their lobby 😉
I do agree about the map addons though.
However, sometimes I do like to play on this or that map ... so why not a new addon, which would be the opposite of the existing one?
For example :
"Computer bug: burning this offering will greatly reduce the chances of you getting to the Lery Memory Institute."
This would keep the randomness of the maps, while allowing a survivor/killer to have some choice about where to go.

I don't think it would be good to nerf Nurse nowadays. I think the game needs to go through massive changes before the only viable killer gets nerfed. SWF, bad map design, gen speeds, and broken survivor perks must be addressed first to make every (or at least most of) killer viable at the highest level.
I do agree that Nurse is levels above every other killer for her ability to ignore basic functions of the game, but it is just that killers, in general, are weak. When the game finally becomes balanced, I would pretty much be happy with a Nurse nerf as I do think that her ability is quite unhealthy for the game. For the nerf, you could either make her Matchbox add-on or her Torn Bookmark add-on (the original one, where you were unable to blink through solid objects) basekit.
Or, don't touch the nurse, and up the other killers very slightly 😉

Your point exactly proves why she should not be on the game the way she is. She is outdated and was only fix for when there was infinities and pallets everywhere. Vut now she is not needed anymore as those things are gone and killers getting buffs and her last counters taken away dh and ds.
Or maybe some people just like to play it ... it's amazing how far we go in terms of selfishness ...

"Let’s have an actual discussion"
No one has posted any conclusive amount of gameplay evidence that indicates she overperforms (in general/with Exposed perks/whatever) consistently against players of equal skill on an even-sided map.
And before someone tries to do a "gotcha", yes, range/3 blink add-ons are busted and need a rework, as do big maps being made smaller and so on. Basekit and recharge add-ons are a non-issue because recharge add-ons do not affect basekit mindgaming of the actual blinks like range or 3 blinks do.
In the cases where very good players play against other very good players, the difficulty/match up is roughly even. Which there is ample proof of, both in and out of tournament settings. In tournament settings (which the VODs for can be found on Twitch/YouTube), Nurse averages to 2K on even maps, 1.92K if all restrictions are removed. Out of tournament settings where good players getting even matches is uncommon, in said even matches, it still comes out to any wins being through immense difficulty, because both are as good as the other.
SupaAlf (a semi-frequent competitive player that uses very strong builds on Nurse in pubs) has gotten (at last check) 200 wins in a row. Which is unsurprising. Incredibly good player + incredibly good builds + incredibly good character versus average pub lobbies. That said, just like his video from MMR test day 3 (a day when a test for even skill matches were prioritized over queue time), he’s had multiple incredibly tough games even with all three of the factors above (personal skill, build, character), and many he’s nearly lost and won only through the skin of his teeth.
Before anyone loses their mind over it being a 200-game streak, keep in mind, this is not Alf or Nurse exclusive. People have done win streaks on every killer in the game and solo/SWF escape streaks. Even in complete solo, good survivors have gotten several dozen escapes in a row. Hens with a 3-man iirc(?) and comp-style callouts are at 69 wins (3-4 man out) in a row at last check around a month ago. If you made someone like Team Agony play SWF all out with super strong builds, they would obliterate almost every lobby ever. This is the result of the player(s) just being outright better than what MMR can match them against usually.
In fact, the funny thing is that every time we ask the players who cry because "The bad nurse is OP" to show videos showing their gameplay against her ... strangely ... there is no one left 😁I don't know, to believe some, the fact that the nurse is OP is an interstellar evidence ... well then, it must be super simple to prove it, right? Well then, what are they waiting for?
"what i have learned from these discussions is that the 4-5 nurse mains on this forum will try in every way possible to defend this stupid killer and her addons writing essays on unrealistic ways for casual pub survivors to counter a killer that ignores the only resources they have to win the game."
Reading this, how can we not help thinking that you have never played as a nurse on a regular basis, and that you will never show us videos of you facing a nurse either...
"basekit nurse can be fun to go against without all this bs"
Here we go ... actually, what you want is to be able to quietly Hold W with an asthmatic nurse in tow, and laugh in your corner because "Oh my god, I'm so god, the naughty nurse can't catch me."
-
As it stands, the nurse is absolutely not OP. To say otherwise would just be pure bad faith.
Correcting his range addons, so that they no longer accelerate tp performed below 20 meters, yes, I completely understand.
But apart from that, neither the range addons nor the reload addons are a problem in themselves.
The range addons: the difference they offer to the nurse is between 21 and 30m. Below that, other than the acceleration I mentioned above, there are none.
So, the range addons make a difference from 21 meters.
The question is, is it impossible for a survivor to be alert to see a nurse coming at more than 21 meters? Of course not.
In fact, the range addons will allow the nurse to have better map control, but it doesn't change the fact that if the nurse can't see where the survivor is, or if the survivor is doing feints that work, it will be just as hard for the nurse to get to him.
Especially since a nurse who uses one or two range addons, is a nurse who misses one or two reload addons, and therefore has to wait a little longer before doing a tp again, time that can be used by the survivor to make his escape profitable.
As for the reload addons, they are fine as they are: they allow the nurse to tp faster, yes, but however, if a nurse plays both reload addons, it means that her tp is limited to 20 meters.
In other words, it's very easy to lose her by moving as straight as possible, so that once the survivor is at a good distance, he can find a place to hide so that, by the time the nurse gets there, he can discreetly move to another place, by walking, and become untraceable.
Some people say that the nursing hands are defending their "OP toy".
50% true.
As far as I am concerned, I am defending my "toy", but it is not OP.
As many people have already said, the fact is that many survivors don't really know how to play against the nurses.
Which is technically understandable, in the sense that since she's the only one with that particular move patern, it means that the % of games a survivor can train against said patern is quite low, compared to the total games he does.
And so, many survivors can't stand the fact that while they are able to hold other killers well/good/very good, the nurse can give them a hard time.
Whereas on the contrary, it's so cool that a killer goes off the beaten path and offers something else.
But that's the problem: a lot of players just don't want to make the effort to play a little bit more seriously, and think a little bit more when they're facing her; they want her to be as easy to taunt as a Caleb on Lery.
There is also something that players don't think about.
The nurse is a killer who is potentially capable of putting a lot more pressure on the survivors than any other killer.
So she can generate a much more incisive snowball.
This means that the survivors in turn must be able to be faster, more precise, more thoughtful, more coordinated and better at their actions.
The Survivor team will have to match the nurse if they want to be even.
Why say that? Simply because sometimes I see some people say that the nurse is a problem when they run into SoloQs, etc.
She is not the problem. The problem, if you can call it that; I would say the cause; is that she runs into SoloQs.
Sometimes I run into lobbies where 2 of the 4 players know how to loop me, and the other 2 don't. Of course, if I stay on the first two, my game will be much more complicated than if I concentrate on the last two.
The nurse is the killer who will be the most demanding in terms of cohesion, work and team spirit towards the survivors.
So yes, even if you know how to deal with a nurse, sometimes you'll run into a team that doesn't.
Yes, sometimes you will carry the game, but not them, and the nurse will win.
And finally, yes, sometimes you will come across survivors who will also know how against her... but you will lose... not because she is OP, but just because you will have come across better than you.
And I feel like a lot of survivors have a hard time accepting that last point...
(precisely, I play Survivor too, and I love playing against the nurse; I am not at all an expert, as a survivor, but I like to learn from my mistakes; is it that difficult?)

The answer is simple: these kind of survivors (not all of them, fortunately), are just [insert good insult here] who enjoy being able to taunt killers against whom they manage to get away, but who run to their mothers' skirts as soon as a killer takes over 🤔
The best thing to do is to ignore them 😉
-
"And I just disagree on recharge add-ons. I find that they enable Nurse to snowball too easily when she has perks like Infectious Fright and she's facing solo Q survivors"
A weakness of a nurse playing with reload addons is that it can be held if the survivor maximizes straight lines across the map.
If she picks up, effectively, it's up to the survivors to see what they're going to do between staying in the area, and risking getting caught, or moving away, to avoid a snowball.

@[Deleted User] said:
It really is just range & recharge that needs to go. Either that or allow survivors to kill themselves on the floor because facing a double range Nurse that slugs for the 4K is probably the most boring experience you can have in this game.
It would just have to be that the range addons don't allow the nurse to be faster if his tp is below 20 meters 🙂
Recharge addons are absolutely not a problem. The nurse can teleport faster, but this does not prevent the survivor from putting some distance between him and her by using straight lines, for example.
The fact that a nurse slugged 4 survivors has nothing to do with her addons, it's just that the player is playing like an ######### (or that the survivors had it coming, but that's a case by case basis).
-
"She is overpowered even without her range addons, her addons is not the only issue with Nurse."
You never had to play nurse to say that. Can we see a video of you playing against her, by the way?
"You can't loop a nurse."
The same as above 😁

damn killers will really not stop complaining about DH, the perk could do nothing and they'd still say it was too strong :')
So the solution is: let DH simply not exist anymore, and the game would be much more interesting 😀
(reminder, I play survivor too)
-
I am always amazed to see that there are always players who, when their precious little DH is touched, are in complete distress 🤣
Whereas as a killer, it's much more enjoyable to play against people who do NOT have that perk (even if they all four escape, I don't care 🙂).
And as a survivor, I haven't used it in a while, because it's really a no-skill perk. I prefer for example balanced landing, which forces me to be more attentive to my environment, which is more fun during the games 😄
Conclusion: learn to play without 😁

IMO she exists for survivor's "but we have a nurse that op, because of that we need [insert broken mechanic] to counter her".
I am a killer main and still thinking that bhvr needs to nerf her(and blight probably). After that we will see overall winrate on high mmr dropping from killer side, and then bhvr will understand that killers should be buffed in general(again)
The most interesting thing would be to leave her as she is (apart from a rework of her range addons to remove the acceleration of tp below 20 meters), but on the other hand, to see to increase the efficiency of the other killers 😀
-
The answer is simple: they are infantile morons in need of attention 😥
Whether it's the survivors taunting the killer when they're safe, or the killers playing dirty when they don't need to 😏
The best thing to do is to go quietly break some pallets and / or some walls, and move on to the next lobby without giving them the satisfaction of being able to prove in the final chat that they are [Insert any insult that comes to mind here. No, "leek gratin" is NOT an insult.] 😁
-
"And yes, I could do without the speed boost in the range add-ons too. I'm not sure why they did it. Maybe to handle big maps without having to play as an utter bastard? Doesn't feel right."
It would be interesting to have an answer from the developers about these addons.
Is the fact that they accelerate the tp speed below 20 meters due to the fact that they don't know technically how to fix it without affecting the speed above 20 meters?
Or is it a choice, and I would be interested, without any ulterior motive, just for the sake of discussion, to know the details.
"Thankfully I also verse a lot of players with not so many hours but who clearly think about what they are doing and understand the "mind" part in mind-games."
Yes, when you meet some players who have more than 3000 hours of play and who continue, while they are pursued by a nurse, to go almost straight ... (obviously this is NOT a generalization, of course, BUT, still ...)

Was the result 0 generators made for 4 deaths? Not really, is it?
Also, what build did she use?
I remember being very happy when I saw that Scourge hook: pain resonance was going to be nerfed, which would prevent the fatal combo with Dead man's switch.

Honestly I just skimmed through what you wrote.
Twitch: omansonion
Playtime: 6k hours
Been in several tournaments. Been asked to help top teams practice. I know exactly what to do when facing nurse. You can find any matches against Nurse if you want. All of my played matches are in there.
Unsurprisingly anytime I post my profile there are no replies. Why? It doesn't fit the nurse main narrative. If they keep lying that no one knows how to go against Nurse, then they must ignore people who actually know how to face her, and still call her brokenly OP.
To say that no one knows how to deal with the nurse would be a lie, and that is not the case anyway.
The fact is that a LOT of survivors don't know how to deal with her.
Your baits and jukes are really beautiful to look at, and if all four survivors in a game played the same way you do, the nurse in front would have a much harder time on her game.
That's what I'm urging: that the survivors who don't know how to play against her watch this kind of replay, and they will indeed become better !

The general consensus of why people defend Nurse is because of the existence of sweaty 4 man SWF's.
But as a killer main with 3000 hours, I can tell you the amount of legitimate sweaty death comp pro tournament level 4 man SWF's I have faced is merely one game.
One game where I genuinely lost because I wasn't Nurse.
If you seriously think the fabled 4 man sweaty SWF is a common occurrence, you're simply wrong. Most SWF's are just chill, average players wanting to play with their friends. The amount of SWF's who legitimately sweat, rush gens, leave, and play in a way which is unwinnable unless you're Nurse/Blight/Spirit is exceptionally rare.
It's pure whataboutism to defend Nurse because of a SWF's potential to be that fabled sweaty comp squad that's only counterable by Nurse.
Nurse doesn't deserve to stay overpowered, unfair, and anti-fun for every survivor just because of SWF's. Nerf her, buff solo queue and nerf SWF's as well.
I've picked solo queue up some more and every 2-4 games there's a Nurse who stomps the entire team. It's getting tiring.
To say: "If Nurse is OP, it's because of the ugly SWFs who are OP!" is indeed an aberration.
The famous "god-swf" are actually quite rare; you can meet SWF, yes, it's quite possible, but it doesn't mean at all that they will be overpowered.
So in the same way that putting the nurse in the hands of someone who is not good at playing with it will mean that it will be very weak, well four survivors in voice, if they are not good at the game, will not be overpowered at all.
I totally agree with that. Neither the nurse nor the SWFs are OP.

Good to see a post from someone who actually seems to have good knowledge of the game.
It is getting tiring seeing these nurse main defenders in here lying to people with thousands of hours in the game, saying they just haven't learned to play against Nurse. It is so insincere, and obviously just nurse players defending their OP toy because they don’t want to play in a fair match.
At the risk of upsetting some people, the survivors are very far from being good, for many of them, against the nurses.
And I know what I'm talking about: I'm a hand nurse, I have a level that is, I would say, between correct and good, but no more, and yet, when I face survivors, I see the tons of mistakes they make.
I've seen survivors get screwed up by simply backing up after passing a corner of a building, because they thought the nurse was going to preshot.
(When in fact it is the BASIC part of the nurse's learning process to teleport to the spot where she lost sight of the Survivor).
I've seen survivors not know how to do double backs: do them too early or too late.
I've seen survivors go to dead zones on the edge of the map when they had all kinds of anti-LOS loops at their disposal.
I've seen 3500+h survivors run straight ahead without looking back, and get picked off in 10s on the clock.
I've seen survivors get stupidly screwed at a paddle because they fast vault immediately after lowering the paddle, giving me the opportunity to just grap them after waiting around.
That's why every time I read a comment made by someone who says "Naughty Nurse is OP, you have to nerf her at all costs!", I just want to see a dozen videos of the person in question, to find out how they play against her.
Fix his range addons so they don't cause teleportation to accelerate below 20 meters, I agree.
And by the way, when I say show us your ability to deal with the nurse, I mean it.
I frequently ask people for this kind of video, when I see them coming to cry against the nurse, but strangely enough, no one ever has the guts to show how they fare against her.
Yet, if she's that OP, it should be easy to check, right?
Show us.

The only change it would make sense to make to her range addon would be to ensure that they don't cause tp acceleration below 20 meters.
Other than that, they are fine as they are.
And let's not forget that in the future, Scourge Hook will no longer allow the killer to have information, since the affected generator will no longer explode.

All You need is less than 30 games to learn the muscle memory and the distance, and you're able to use those addons and play like a boosted nurse. You don't need "5k hours, 24/7 DBD" like some people here make it out to be.
Seems to be nurses mains don't want people to learn her, so they realize how much of a broken mess she is.
On the contrary! I encourage ALL survivors to play nurse! Don't hesitate to do so! 🤗

You don't have to be good at nurse to use double range addons efficiently.
Yes, you need to be.
These addons will allow the nurse to go, technically, further.
But if the nurse in question doesn't have good muscle memory, doesn't know how to anticipate the actions of the survivors, doesn't have in mind the length of her teleportation and/or hit window, and doesn't know how to teleport while spinning around to optimize her view of her surroundings, addons or no addons, the survivors will be laugh.
And I know what I'm talking about, having seen players try to "play nurse with range addons" for example, challenges, or other, when they are not at all nurse regular players.

Seriously, don't just hold W and keep breaking LoS while being unpredictable and Nurse is a blast!
What do you want, when some players can't have fun provoking, taunting, and rolling over the killer, then their little world collapses, and as a result, the cause is bound to be that "The ugly killer is OP."
PS: mind you, I remain objective, I do think it would be interesting to look at the acceleration that her range addons allow the nurse to have below 20 meters.
But otherwise, yes, I want to say to them : "Git gud."

Nurse is OP similar to how SWF is OP. They both allow players to go up against players who may be better than them, and still win. This is not fair for either side.
SWF allows survivors to do things that give make the game very easy, so the killer facing them generally has to play better. SWF is OP.
Nurse allows the killer player to do the same. When the nurse player reaches the much-lower-than-people-think skill barrier, they start dominating. Nurse is OP.
Of course, if the SWF side isn't that good, and if the nurse player isn't that good, it doesn't matter whether they are using these OP tools or not. That doesn't mean they both aren't OP. SWF is OP. Nurse is OP.
Don't listen to the people defending nurse. The singular reason why people defend nurse and not SWF despite both being grossly OP, is nurse is a solo role. These nurse players think that having such an advantage while playing the nurse is fine because it is easier to say "i'm just that good" or "no one knows how to play against Nurse" or some variation of the same old lies.
Know what is funny, though? These same nurse mains all claim SWF is OP. At the same time, they say only nurse and blight can handle SWF. If one OP thing (SWF) can be beaten by something even up to the absolute top level (nurse), that means nurse is OP. Like, obviously...
Nurse is not OP.
And SWF is not OP.
And I'm a nurse's player 😁

Because SWF. Nurse is the answer to a sweaty 4-man squad on Discord. As a solo player, I would be happy to see both Nurse and SWF removed lol. But that won't happen of course.
The fact YOU play solo doesn't concern the nurse.
SHE doesn't have to be removed because YOU play alone 🤔

Move erratically.
Use LOS blockers
Mind game and double back a lot.
Figure out when she's going to blink by listening to her sound effects.
If she's chasing you and not blinking run in a straight line. You're faster.
Watch for the red light that shows where she's blinking to in general.
I'm not saying this will work against a high MMR Nurse as I'm not a high MMR solo survivor but, on my opinion, the only reason why most people say Nurse is OP is because they haven't played Nurse to the point they can semi reliably land blink attacks.
Nurse has a very unique power but there a lot of things that can mess Nurse up. Try to play her, note what messes you up, and then try that on the Nurses you face. She's a very strong Killer once you've practiced a lot but, while learning her, you'll quickly learn why her kill rate is so low
EXACTLY.
Not only is what you say totally right, but it hits a nerve.
What you are talking about is LEARNING to play against her, SPENDING TIME to learn a NEW way of playing the game, sometimes even QUESTIONING what you know how to do, or think you know how to do.
And a lot of players are too LAZY to do that.
So what do we do? We come and cry that the nurse is OP.
As usual.

Nurse.
Simply because I love to go on forums and see morons crying every four mornings that she's too strong when they're unable to get their fingers out and learn how to play against her 😍

Its always the same handfull of people in here defending Nurse and if you check their post history you can see why - cause all of them are Nurse "mains" ofc they don't want BHVR to touch their easy mode killer.
What you say is partly true, and partly false.
For me, for example, yes, the nurse is the killer I play the most.
However, the reason I find forum whining completely laughable is NOT because I want to "keep my killer easy."
(if this killer is so easy, I expect you to post a video of you, playing nurse, against a survivor team made up of the game's elite)
The reason is simply because it's not the nurse's fault that the survivors refuse to motivate themselves to learn how to play against.
The only thing I didn't know is that the range addons increase the speed even below the basic maximum range (20m). I thought the acceleration started at 21m.

True, but remember that for a game to start we need 4 survivors, and just 1 killer.
What I mean by that is that if a lot of survivors make complains, they will change things.
Let them complain, and in the worst case, let them leave the game; that will make less slackers, we will keep only those who have the intelligence to want to progress, and like that, it will balance the ratio survivor / killer.

Wait, wait, hold on. Let me really activate the almonds about this video.
If you do good against her, nurse is balanced ggez.
If you don't, you clearly just don't know the right counterplay, skill issue.
Am I getting this right?
I didn't say anything complicated.
People cry because of the nurse.
Then let them show us HOW they play against her.
Then we'll see if they have any legitimacy to complain.

@VonCrow said:
They used to, but not anymore.
As Killer you can literally see if they have dead hard or not by how they loop: they take too much risks, they greed the pallets and they usually relay on dead hard.
If dead hard gets nerfed to the ground I'm expecting a lot of 3000 hours survivors not being able tu survive for a while, which will make them create a thousand of posts saying "please nerf killers" and eventually they will nerf killers somehow.
And this will be the opportunity to answer: get better.
😂

Nurse is definitely not fine. Every time I play against a decent nurse, the match turns out like this, and everyone is dead at 5 gens. She needs a nerf and everyone knows it.
If you want to convince us that the nurse is too strong, record a video of you playing against her.
Then we can see if, before you say she's too good, you are competent when you play against her.

No because that's not how we operate in DbD we refuse to learn counter plays but instead we must Nerf everything that we deem op!
Exactly, the naughty nurse is too strong because it is a walking bug ... not at all because the survivors are just ****ing slackers ...
-
"It's mostly low-IQ shitstorming from people who refuse to learn how to play against her."
Exactly.
All of you, survivor who are complaining about the nurse: show us on video how you play against her, for starters.
And then we'll see what it's really like.
We'll see if the video shows an omnipotent nurse able to roll over expert survivors, despite the fact that they don't make any mistakes ... or if the video actually shows us players who know nothing about her , and are unable to play her without crying foul.

I don't want Nurse to end up getting nerfed into unviability. Don't get me wrong, she does need nerfs very badly, she's just too strong, but she's also very high skill ceiling and one of the few very powerful killers in the game, and I'd like to see her stay that way, just in a more fair manner.
Honestly you can't really drastically change her because she's one of those characters who is either extremely strong or terrible depending on how they're balanced. (look at release Legion for example)
No. She's not too strong.
Survivants are not good enought. That's all.
If you want to prove to me that it's too strong, show me a series of videos where we see a nurse doing 4K with no problem against EXPERT survivors.

Nurse was design is littered with flaws and her power is also littered with bugs. Her power tends to cause alot of balance problems within the game that even I can say that her power is designed back when dbd didn’t have this many perks, a single killer shouldn’t cause a power problem in perks to the point where some people don’t want Dead Hard nerfed because of Nurse, a killers power should NEVER influence a perk to not be changed
Players who don't want DH nerfed because of the nurse are players who don't know how to do anything other than DH when playing against the nurse.
Whereas players who don't have DH in their set are completely capable of giving a nurse a hard time.

"She is unchanged besides an addon-pass" is an understatement. That's like saying "toolboxes are unchanged besides an addon pass". She used to have tons of good addons and could go up to 5 blinks back then, and blink recharge wasn't a thing. The Nurse we have today is not nearly as strong as the one we had prior to 2019.
The only changes she needs in my opinion are making range and recharge addons not stackable and maybe nerf purple range. Also maybe consider making her blink attacks not count as M1s so exposed perks don't work so well on her.
This way, players will only have to quietly hold down the "forward" key to put distance permanently and make the nurse go around the whole map.
Note, maybe that's what they want... to be able to bully the nurse like any other killer they are so happy to feel so strong against...

But that’s just the thing- you’ll never get casual players/the average player to compete on that level. And they’re the majority in every videogame. I’m not saying it’s right or even fair to those who put in the time, but unfortunately the highly skilled will always be the minority. And game developers usually cater to the masses when it comes to an outpour for a change.
Just because some survivors are so "strong" that they would manage to get caught by one of the Nemesis zombies doesn't mean that the Nurse has to fall in line with them.
In the same way: just because one player is VERY OCCASIONALLY a killer, and therefore sucks at killing, doesn't mean that the survivors all have to go 3m/s just to please him.

To be fair, how often do people REALLY verse a god nurse?
Same thing with these death squad swfs.
The answer is obvious: rarely.
The "god-nurses" that many people talk about are probably made up of a few real god-nurses, and other nurses who are good, just good, and who have come across survivors who think they are strong, and who take a beating.

@KerJuice said:
I use to agree with your sentiment for years, but in 2022 it’s no longer fun to vs. a nurse in her current state. More and more players have mastered her, and are very proficient with her. So much in fact, I agree with the argument that the average player can not do anything against her. Hell, I’m not even convinced a lot of advance players stand a chance. They probably can put up a good fight if they’re in a team, but if they’re solo they’ll most likely fall victim to her at some point of the match. It’s like delaying the inevitable. Just a couple of days ago I typed in someone’s thread that she’s fine and to leave her alone. It’s now been 48 hours later, and idk no any more. I’m leaning in favor of her getting nerfed.
‘Too many Nurse players know how to limit your options for misdirection, so that when they blink, they can literally cover all your escape routes with the second blink and guarantee a hit. It’s TRULY amazing. And I would be one of those crying “Hax!,” had I not seen some of these Nurse players call out where the survivor was going next on live stream. I can literally feel my eyes open wide like “HOW THE HELL DID HE KNOW THE SURVIOR WAS GOING TO DO THAT??” The same survivor could look back, not look back, zig zag, run straight, stand still around corners, break line of sight, hide crouched down, hide in lockers, stand still, tea bag, give up-it didn’t matter. A hit every single f’n time. I;m seeing this for myself and I STILL can’t believe how skilled these nurse players are. Pair that up with matchmaking sending these players to low-mid MMR with disgusting builds (Starstruck Infectious Fright Nurse) and a tryhard mentality, then it’s no wonder the player base is calling for a nerf.
Simply because the players who play the nurse train relentlessly, instead of asking for the surviving bad guys to be nerfed.
What you are describing is simply nurse playing their characters seriously.
To the survivors to do the same.
And ... yes, it's a little more complicated to win against a nurse than it is to win against Caleb in Lery ... the Survivors are going to have to figure that out at some point ...

@MommyHunktress said:
ok lets be real yes she still is strong and her add ons can make her old power come back so it seems counter productive... but why nerf her? lets be real even decent nurse wont win every match and you can have counterplay, double back, if she teleports in your face then just change the plan and keep running, ive done that mid match and then the nurse couldnt get me because she was used to catching survs who would only double back. its a 1v1 so you have to realize that if she knows what youre gonna do then do what she doesnt think youll do and when she sees you do that find out how long it takes her to realize and change her style. if she doesnt adjust she is a bad nurse, if she does adjust then you know you have to constantly switch and be unpredictable.
i digress, nurse is fine, because although she is way too strong at the highest level, its not because its easy. she is easy to pick up, but at the end of the day if you dont have great intuition or lets say gamer sense and can switch playstyles at an instant for every survivor, then you cant reach that level. that level is also rare. most people just dont know what to do against nurse at a somewhat higher level, as soon as a nurse can hit blinks and mindgames survivors scramble. she isnt like old spirit where a good headset could make you great. she requires real skill and most people just dont have that skill. nurse could always be tweaked but not nerfed
Except for the fact that she is not too strong at a high level; otherwise, it would be 4K against any expert survivor team; I agree.
@QwQw said:
Because she's a broken, buggy, overpowered mess of a killer from a bygone era of DbD.

but why does no busted nurse exist anymore? they are all gone or doing tournaments ORRR at the highest mmr. btw i guarantee you and I are not the best survivors so we dont go against busted nurse. we go against nurses who practice to kill us and we can easily outplay if we actually try and read her plays. nurse is fine at every level except the highest level and high level somewhat because her blinks recharge a little too fast. plus how could you change her?
Most of the guys who come crying on the forums like "The ugly nurse is too strong, help!" are just survivors who may be good against other killers, but are otherwise incompetent at playing AGAINST the nurse.
As a result, they can't accept (hurt in their pride? Maybe...) the fact that if the nurse is "too strong", it's just that THEY are not good enough.
But it's so much easier to complain than to try to improve. Typical.
@IamFran said:
I don't get why in 2022 a killer who don't give a fk about main killer counters (pallet and windows), being superb in map pressure and a power which synergize with a lot of good perks is not considered ridiculously OP by some people.
The old excuse of being "hard to use and need practice" is a nonsense.
In fact, saying "She's hard to control so it's okay that she's so strong" is not entirely true.
The reason "she's so strong" is mainly because most survivors do NOT know how to play against her.
And that's actually normal, from a technical point of view.
The game has 28 killers.
Of those 28 killers, 27 are walkers.
This means that the game is over 96% filled with killers on which the classic techniques (loop shack, jungle gym, fake pallets, connecting loops, etc.) work.
In other words, the survivors learn much faster how to counter the so-called "classic" killers, since that's almost all they encounter (from a purely statistical point of view).
So, necessarily, when they come across the nurse, or more exactly when they come across the only killer that has to be countered by OTHER THINGS than these basic mechanics, they have less inexperience.
And that's normal.
The problem is that most survivors imagine that having 3000 hours of play and running into a classic killer should mean that it should be the same with the nurse.
And out of pride and hubris, they refuse to question themselves.
The other day I was playing the nurse. I ran into a streamer who had 3500+ hours under his belt.
On his other streams, he is pretty good against other killers.
I folded him in 10s with my nurse. Not because I was particularly "OP", but because the guy did NO double-back, almost always went straight, and was 150% predictable.
Guys do NOT know how to play against the nurse.
That's it.
"If anything, the real issue here is all the other killers weak players don't complain about."
Exactly. However, why don't the survivors complain about the weak killers and only about the nurse?
Simply because "weak" killers are good for them, for the survivors, because it makes them feel superior; it is important that these killers do not become a "threat" to the survivors who are so full of themselves.
On the other hand, the nurse, well yes, let's see, she can be better than them, so yes, she must be completely nerfed, let's see, it's logical.

I play her consistently and know how to play against her. Now that according to your own comment I have the right to express my opinion:
Her range add-ons most specifically and her possibility to stack slowdowns and use one shot perks is broken and should be changed.
Next?
The fact that a nurse can use onshot perks does not make her an abused killer; for example "Make your choice": if the survivor is affected by it, he will usually be very sneaky for a while ... I also think of Devour Hope, which can do very very bad on a nurse: should it be made so that she can't use it? It would be quite unfair ... (I specify that I don't use it on her).
-
All the people who criticize the nurse have absolutely no legitimacy to do so until they:
1) perfected their methods of playing against her
2) play her in order to understand her mechanics, and how to get around them
Until then, all their words are nothing more or less than endless and redundant whining.
Next topic.
-
In any case, I think we can assume that as long as a survivor who complains about the nurse ... does NOT play the nurse, he or she has no legitimacy to complain about it.
You can't judge something you don't know or play.
(and for the smart asses who would reply that it's ok for me to say that, since I'm a main nurse ... at the time of her 5 blinks, I agree that yes, absolutely, she was OP)
-
Am I dreaming or on this thread, survivors are asking BHVR ... how to play against the nurse? ...
Is the assistantship that developed or is it me who misunderstood?
Seriously people, I REALLY want to see a video of you playing against a nurse.
I REALLY want to see you (the survivors) in action.
I'm sure it will show the basic grumpy survivor starter pack: straight line / no looking back / waiting behind the paddles like it's an M1 killer in front.
@MandyTalk Please do me a favor: tell me that one of the next killers will be a killer with a completely innovative displacement patern, like the nurse, I so want to see people complaining that "Oh help, he's too strong", without trying to learn how to fight it! 😍
-
She needs no nerf.
She needs no addons rework.
She's juste fine.
Learn to play against.

I just want the devs to acknowledge she’s too strong at this point. Literally no one but nurse mains actually defend her at this point.
So, from your point of view, if you see on a topic 5 or 6 speakers who agree with you, then it means that the whole world thinks that she is too strong?
Sorry, but it doesn't work like that, does it?
I know survivors, who don't play killers, who have a hard time dealing with the nurse, and who don't have any problems with her addons.
The more time goes by, the more players would like everything to be easy, might as well remove Nurse and Blight, lower all killers to 75m/s, increase the fixing speed of generators by 250%, decrease the charge consumption of items by 500%, and allow survivors to have the passive ability to automatically stun the killer for 3 minutes when the latter hits them.
-
@Visi said:
Please, for the love of God, fix these addons or disable them. Every time I go against nurse using them it's just GG. She's unstoppable. Instant, undodgeable blinks. I don't play the game in a 4-man sweat squad but even if I did I don't think it would make a difference. A nurse who can land blinks using these addons simply can't be beat, and even an otherwise mediocre nurse using them is guaranteed a 3k.
These addons increase its range from 20 to 30 meters.
Now, when a nurse performs a long distance tp, this is when using a double-back can hurt her the most.
So ... double back ?
Besides, you say yourself that you don't play in a team.
So you can't say "The nurse is too strong" if on the one hand she optimizes her game while on the other hand survivors don't play in a team. That's a little too easy.
(besides, being in a team doesn't even necessarily mean being better than two groups of two, for example; some players who play alone sometimes get amazing results)
I don't agree that a mediocre nurse using these add-ons necessarily makes a 3K.
If that's the case, it's because the team has been hanging out on the generators, nurse has been hard-camping/tunneling/and snowballing everyone, or the survivors she's been facing have been ... mediocre, too ...

Seeing how you go against arguments in this thread trying to explain, why they oppose your idea, in a rather ignorant way, make you seem more like a raging person (and I was temptet to wright child), rather than someone who actually wants to discuss.
So before you come at me, lets get the list. Lets see ... I play both sides, I don't main nurse, just played her a few times, I'm also not good against her and mainly play soloq, when surv.
People can outplay a nurse. Training goes both ways. It takes some time to get used to her. If an unexpirienced nurse is in your trial you actually already won, I'm gonna leave this here for everyone to consider. Once there is a trained nurse you need to learn how to go against her. Thtat takes time too. Surprise, your win is not gifted but has to be achieved. For the learning process, as always, there are some good videos on youtube for counterplay. I mean it, watch them.
Soloq is harsh on top of that, you can't control how the others play and communication is very limited. Everyone knows that's a problem of itself but this problem occurs in almost every multiplayergame.
I wish you a nice day.
EXACTLY.
Facing the nurse is possible.
BUT, more complicated than a walking killer.
BUT, possible.
But many survivors wish she was that easy to face...
On a cooler note, I suggest that survivors play Nurse, as it will allow them to understand its mechanics, and precisely what can counter her 😉
