Most people can agree that Legion is the worst killer in the game next to the Clown, but we also can't deny that legion have a hard time to get kills for most people, he's at least the easiest one to pip with and make points, he also can make every survivors injured, making them mend which waste their time and hopefully heal with waste even more time,

But the build I made doesn't use his strength to make it more powerful (thanatophobia for exemple) I made a build that affect his weaknesses which allow him to have even more awareness all over the map, making me know where they are at all times.

The build is : Surge, Surveillance, Pop goes the weasel, and BBQ.

Add-ons: Joey's mix tape and cold dirt.

The build is to have absolute control on the gens, always know which one is being worked on and which one isn't, reducing your fatigue duration allows you to hit the survivor faster and so use surge and surveillance faster as well, if you get someone and hook them, you know where they are working so you hopefully reach the gen before it's completed and you also have surveillance, so if they come back to it 2 seconds after you left it you can go back already, if you down someone and the gen(s) the blew around you aren't white, there's someone on it, so go check it for a sec, if it's nearly repaired or not, if it it, push them away, hook near it and use pop.

It is important to know when to use your pop tho, if you chase someone and you hear a survivor(s) working on a gen it's good to give up the chase and use pop and maybe use your feral frenzy so you have more pressure and stopping them from working again, if you used surge far away and it isn't white, you will in total remove 33% of the gen (they most liekly recovered the 8% of the surge but that's still time wasted)

I am a rank 1 killer, and this build works CRAZY good, I almost always win.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/865/TVK9TW6LTX3J.png

(the dc was because i caught her after being unhook and worked on a gen i used surge on)

was a VERY difficult game, because of those 2 balanced landing, very good team, but i saved 2-3 gens from being completed for like 5 minutes, they were always going back to them but i'd always stop them, I would have lost without it.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/454/81YKWTPSIMZB.png

This build really work and I almost always have very good results.

Thanks for reading and see you in the fog.

Any build that forces specific addons or any at all is actually not a good build. I'll try it out though.

For the way you're talking about, it was early-middle game. If spirit lost all his pressure in the early mid-game just because you had DS, perhaps it wasn't a good killer, or perhaps that spirit lost focus, a lot of people get angry just for being hit by DS just a single time.

Unless you're in late game and EGC is on where the game is almost decided, well, it's not really a life-changing perk.

It was mid to late actually. Gens popped pretty quickly after. We were out the exit pretty quickly in a few minutes. The Spirit was good still was pretty good afterwards. I more or less summarized the whole scenario pretty briefly because I'm at work.

That would nerf the potential to save survivors with flashlights, pallets, and perks meant for saves with body blocking so I don't think the devs would implement that.

By removing it as a offering and forcing into be in death hook only situation it does become more fair. Having 2 chases, 3 to 5 hits, and a DS is extremely better than what we currently have.

If the devs gave unique animations for each survivor on the hook without increasing or decreasing time it would also make killers have to choose between death by mori or hook. Sometimes the mori maybe better, but it opens hatch faster. What if that survivor has your favorite hook animation?

While I do agree that it would psuedo nerf all those by giving a reason for the killer to choose between different things it does help. Also of someone fails that bad outside of say being hard camped or tunneled. I wouldn't risk much for them to begin with friend or random.

  • @KingFrost said:

I still think they should just have to hook each survivor once before being able to Mori. It'd be a simple nerf that would discourage tunneling.

I just think Mori's should be removed as a offering added to base kit as a alternative way to kill someone on death hook.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1183147#Comment_1183147

No thanks to both. Deactivating if someone else is hooked seems most reasonable.

He has a point with the EGC part, but that one should and needs to be tested not just implemented.

  • Actually it is.

Your talking about a killer who's leaving green ranks and progressing to purple vs people leaving purple progressing to red. The difference in knowledge about the game is significantly different. If I was a new player and the survivors were too the results would of been completely different.

While the pipping system is broken. It shows some level of skill and knowledge about the game.

All but one of those pictures is matchmaking working as intended (assuming that yellow rank was in a SWF) that matchmaking isn't bad at all.

The matchmaking changes were a +6/-6 rank difference then widens. SWF also takes the rank of the highest survivor and finds a suitble candidate. Majority of these are from before those changes if I remember correctly. I haven't really played killer in awhile or taken screenshots since I've been playing with friends.

  • I'm one of the few people on here who legitimately plays both sides and enjoys both equally. Everytime I want a change it's because I see the poor design and a possible way to fix it. I try to weigh out the nerfs/buffs for both sides.

  • @LALYTHIA said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1183030#Comment_1183030

Yes but you are suggesting changing a vital perk because of this singular experience. This does not happen the majority of the time. Is that unfortunate for her in that match? Yes. Should that be the basis to change it for everyone? No.

I get this situation on a semi regular basis. Maybe 1/20 matches or once every couple days depends how much i play. All they would need to change is make it so if someone is hooked then any active DS is deactivated. It's not even a massive change to the perk or alters it in a way that it becomes useless.

Unless your toxic than it will become useless.

  • @LALYTHIA said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1183010#Comment_1183010

Tunneling gets killers kills way more than DS gets survivors escapes. It is really rare for a killer to get DS'd on after chasing down and hooking not one, but TWO MORE people, before picking up the person with DS.

Remember I said 1 to 2 survivors. I'm just saying while I do agree DS is necessary for the meta I do think it needs to be changed.

After hooking 2 survivors than picking me up do you think that game should of ended that way? Do you think thats fair? What did the Spirit do wrong? She played the game without resorting to any behavior that should of been considered toxic.

That person rightfully deserved a 3k or a even a 4K, but got punished for being highly efficient and a good killer. They probably picked me up because as you said having 2 hooks within 60 seconds is rare. At that point DS changed from a Anti Tunnel perk to a Punishment for doing well. In my mind that makes DS unbalanced and poorly designed.

Even if it was one other person than me. I would still say the same stuff. So while on paper DS = Anti Tunnel. The reality is it acts the same way old Ruin did. It punishes the wrong people while being useless against the ones you want it for.

  • @LALYTHIA said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1182985#Comment_1182985

If you have hooked 2 people and found someone again in 60 seconds, I'd say you are doing just fine. 😂

Just a game I had a few days ago with a friend.

Rank 1 Spirit who was actually really good dont remember map or perks. Had 3 or 4 gens left.

In a 2 man SWF with a friend when killer who slugged me had 2 people on hook. As he picked me up I DS'ed him as his Devour Hope popped and than both survivors were saved. We went on to leave through the exit gate about 3 minutes later. DS was on a sliver almost thought it ran out tbh.

The Spirit lost all pressure almost simultaneously due to a 5 second stun and picking me up. Went on to have the entire board reset within a minute. Had at least 1 more DS if not 3 more to possibly deal with.

Ofc this is a "fine" situation because the Spirit was clearly in a winning position. This Spirit did not tunnel, camp, or in any way act toxic.

This is not a common occurrence, but it's definitely not rare.

  • @Salty_Pearl said:

I'm ok with the perk but the only problem I have with it is that it almost forces you to either be slugged or to slug. For Survivors and Killers slugging is really boring and it ruins gameplay. Don't get me wrong, it's a good tactic but doing it against DS is a pain.

How do you feel about DS?

I'm 50/50 on it. I like the idea, but it has poor execution. I see more people being toxic with it as free immunity from grabs and being hooked than seeing it as a Anti Tunnel Perk.

Nothing like hooking a survivor than another 1 or 2 survivors and finding someone from 1 or 2 hooks earlier only to be hit with DS because your "tunneling"

A new killer with no game knowledge would go after the rank 2 guy all game while the rest is rushing the gens. That’s why he got only this few poins. He was trying to get my attention all game but only chased him down when everyone else vas disabled. It’s not very fun for a newcomer chasing the same guy all game that you can’t even possibly catch before all gens gets popped.

I've never seen that. I don't think your lying, but imho most brand new killers tend to tunnel, camp, and be inconsistent with chases. Due to the current matchmaking I have faced a few rank 20's with either no perks or 1 perk. They seem to chase you, but tend to jump to the next person they see quite easily. Not all just a lot of the ones I have seen recently. Also not all red ranks are toxic like that. Some will do gens and realize your low rank.

  • @snozer said:

A survivor ran up to the hook and started to unhook in my face, but the game would not let me grab them. It would start the animation and just... stop.

Twice in a row and the survivor never let go.

New exploit ("tech") that will never be fixed?

More likely a difference in Ping. Also grabs are pretty bad as of the introduction of dedicated servers and highly inconsistent.

Sooo nerfing all the “overpowered” killer crap and letting every unfair no skill survivor second chance perk being in the game is not enough to show that how much you devs like to babysitt your new (and even old) noob survivor mains? But you still allow this BS matchmaking to happen with new killer players. Fair thing yes. If they gonna have a fookin’ rank 2 give them a rank 2 killer as well for god’s sake. (Which they actually got this time that’s why they got stomped so hard). So babies might think twice next time they queue up with a high ranked player.

I don't see an issue. This is actually not bad simply because if this was a new killer, 3 new survivors, and a rank 2 survivor the game actually has potential. You have 4 people playing and the experienced player giving people chances and letting them play.

Keys are not the problem, and they've already seen a nerf. 1 generator remaining is not an issue, it's usually a hopeless alternative, someone has to bring in a key or miraculously find one in the three chests that spawn, and of the three keys you can obtain, only two of them will actually unlock a hatch. 4 health packs, 2 maps, 3 flashlights, 1 broken key, 6 toolboxes, vs 2 keys. That's an 11% chance of finding either two keys, assuming everything has an equal chance of being found(which it doesn't, you have less of a chance of finding a rare item than a common item).

You, the vocal minority, just make it seem like there are a lot of people complaining about keys. Keys are the alternative to moris, except keys don't end the game after a single generator, while moris end the game after a single hook. Keys are also the alternative to poorly spawned doors. If the killer can easily see both doors and reach both doors, even after closing hatch, the survivor should at least get the chance to run to hatch and open it with the key they found/brought in for the save. Otherwise everyone's wasting 3 minutes waiting for the EGC to finish.

No sorry Keys are a problem as are Moris. They are a literally a survivor mori. Unlike Mori's they require no skill you dont even need to touch the objective to escape. I'm sorry the team was so bad that you all failed yes this includes the person who brings in or finds a key. This includes YOU. Math is cool, but we can do the same for a killer trying to find a ebony or ivory amongst all the perks and addons.

I'm sorry I just don't agree that a survivor can reopen a hatch after 4 survivors have failed to completely failed to do 5 gens, you've failed to find hatch first, and you are failing to open a door. If a killer happens to earn the 4K and a single item can negate a good game. Then how is that fair that a free escape is earned from a person who actually tried and won.

I also think Moris are completely BS as well because they rob survivors of having a chance.

Also I'm not a minority when I say Keys are completely BS as are Moris. You want to pretend there not fine cool, but they are just as broken as a mori.

I've been playing this game for almost 2 years, on PC and PS4, and never experienced playing against a killer who I felt was an easy win, not have I played with a killer in which I felt they were too weak.

Your not actually wrong, but at the same time you are. While most killers actually do need some severe updates to their upkeep with the way DBD has evolved since release of any specific killer. A lot of issues are reoccurring bugs, map sizes, broken loops, and semi infinite loops and vaults which are a guaranteed spawn.

I'll always feel that the map designs are actually the biggest core issue of DBD other than the bugs that affect both sides. Without fixing every map at the same time and constantly keep updates on bugs. Really any changes they make are just superficial and will need to be redone in the end after they fix all the maps.

Stop going against killers complains when you should be seeing it from their side, and trying to support their complains

    rant over

Moris and Keys should honestly be removed from the game. They completely invalidate the core objective of the game by significantly reducing the amount of time needed to actually do anything. Keys don't require any skill to escape and Mori's only require 1 hook per person.

I wouldn't mind Mori's being added at base as a alternative way to kill someone on Death Hook instead of just rehooking. It would solely just be a different animation and for style points.

    any good perk>mettle of man

Well who needs counterplays against survivors when you could just run around really fast and one hit them(Oni), or hide around a corner with no terror radius only to be exposed and get one hit again by a ghost face, or just throw an Axe across map at someone trying to open a gate or heal up another survivor and one hit them, or my favorite have all the survivors reveal their locations to you so you could just casual waltz over to them and smack them or shock them to the point they cannot even do a single action but run. So how could you say that the game is survivor favored? All we have is slowdown perks, that's all we can do.... Basically encouraging the toxic survivor play style cuz who cares if you go down, it's all about "f*ck that killer lets annoy him and piss him off Idc if I die." am I right?

No there's a very small and limited amount of slowdown perks for killers that usually need something to happen for them to work. BHVR even stated they will be careful on future slowdown perks too to prevent stacking like Forever Freddy. You list 3 killers who have counter play, but ya let's make them an example on why this games killer sided. Sorry man this games heavily favored towards survivors to a almost unfair point. Your honestly overly annoyed or upset you probably lost a game. It happens. I don't know what rank you are, but based on your arguments it's still in the ranks where killers have the upper hand. Survivors tend to be toxic because they can get away with it.

Well, first of all, Nurse is in a really bad spot right now. She's probably the hardest killer in the game (and also the one with most bugs). And yes, before anyone mentions it, she has a very substantial learning curve and et cetera. But, since the rework (or nerf, call it whatever), she's being very frustrating to play as. And I'm not talking about the Nurse one tricks, I'm talking about everyone else who plays as killer.

We all know that the problem was never her power, but the add-ons. But instead of fixing them (reworking them or simply nerfing), they just tried something else that clearly hasn't worked out.

So I wanted to bring attention to this subject, in the hopes that it will create a healthy discussion, where everyone can express their opinion, and hopefully catch the the eyes of the developers. Thanks for reading.

I'll leave this picture here, which, I think, speaks for itself.

Just to put this here. Clown has somewhere around 200 unique bugs to him alone. I'm not sure of the severity I just know a few clown mains.

I've come to the conclusion that this game will die withing the year or maybe year and a half. I've found my self needing to take a break from it for a while then coming back to to see if it's better now; but I see no changes being done to improve balancing and more imbalances constantly being added to the game such as op killers, getting hit through vaults unfairly, map bugs, the list goes on and on. It will succumb sooner than expected due to lack of player base(survivors) mainly because of the severe imbalances between killers and survivors. This game is (and I'm sorry to say this) officially and completely survivor biased and has turned almost entirely into baby killer mode, it's gotten to the point where survivors nearly have no chance of all getting out alive as a whole team. They keep nerfing survivors to the ground and buffing the living crap out of killers; such as taking away insta heals, nerfing decisive strike to make it situational and easily counterable by simply waiting, nerfing the power of toolboxes, nerfing petrified oak from removing hooks to increasing the distances between them(which BTW doesn't even make a noticeable difference in distance even when using 3 or 4 of them), nerfing medkits power, etc... It's just getting so old and boring, I don't even want to play it anymore. I know what you're thinking... 'oh but killers are meant to be powerful!' but to what extent!? To the extent where survivors can't do anything but just run and try to hide or juke just to eventually go down and get hooked without getting a chance to wiggle out or at least half way. I don't know. What do you all think? I'm just a "entitled survivor" or do I have a point here? Either way if nothing is being done for survivors, then it pains me to say this game will die a horrible sad way.

Hate to say it, but killer is only powerful during early ranks. Around rank 10 killers stumble into red rank survivors and get destroyed commonly. I'm assuming your either not very good as a survivor or having bad luck. This game is heavily favored towards survivors currently. Not only that, but bugs survivors get are usually fixed within days yet killer bugs can persist for months. While killers don't have any real amount of counter perks against survivors. Survivors have quite a few against killers. The Dev's have also stated that they dislike the stacking of multiple slowdown perks, but don't deal with the fact survivors will stack multiple second chance perks which directly contribute to the need for slowdown perks die to time crunching.

Playing Hag I like the people who have DS who get cocky. Place a trap and pick them up. I've had so many people DC when they realize what just happened.

  • Remember a Killer is on a clock from the moment everyone loads in. So everything needs a balance. If skill checks become too frequent due to a perk making healing or other skill checks universally better that's creating additional issues. Just remember when buffing one thing consider the repercussions that will happen to the other side.

Yet if the perk Autodidact guaranteed 1 skill check per heal *not applicable by stop and restarting* than that perk would be buffed and actually very nice. I've always felt that if you heal 5 people then you should have a full 5 stacks.

  • @YaiPa said:

that's the point, in the hands of great players it might become very scary, pushing the genrush meta further more.

they should just make that autodidact could increase the skill check chances while healing and then the perk would be fine.

Ya giving anyone skillcheck more commonly is not a good idea if it affects Gens. Some players have hard enough times as killer before and after the Ruin nerf. Pushing Killers further away is far from a healthy decision.

That's how I was with Huntress and Pig.

Honestly probably the best $4 i've spent on this game. Ghostface and Spirit are probably the best DLC Killers hands down. I love Ghostface because you can play a lot differently than Chase, Hit, Chase, Hit while being looped. I love that you can have no TR, hit someone, let them run off and heal, find someone else, hit them and then try and find people healing and get quick downs, I also rarely use Stalk and when i do it's mostly because they are way out in the open and i know i can hit them but even then i still rarely use it. You could take Stalk away from Ghostface and it would be an issue to me at all.

As this Killer i genuinely feel like i am the Power Role because even against high rank players i still have a chance at winning and thats what this game needs more of. Viable Killers.

I've played 4 games today in a row with Ghostface and had roughly the same results each time 4 man 5 gen, 4 man 4 gen and nothing lower as well as 2 pips each time.

I really hope this Killer does not get nerfed because honestly him and Spirit are probably the last bit of fun i have in this game, taking that away from me i may just need to consider moving on to other games.

Glad your having fun. Thats how it should be in a game.

  • Best bet would be some time in April near Easter.

I was playing demogorgon on coldwind farm and found a survivor on a gen. I hooked the survivor and went up stairs because I heard the gen had progression. I kicked the gen and heard crying down stairs. I walked down and saw a trail of blood leading to a locker, upon opening it was the same survivor I hooked earlier I hooked them again. Went to the same gen where i found the survivor the 1st time he was fully healed and I hooked them again and got this.

Calling me a bad word kinda pissed me off. I'm still deciding if I should have posted this. No hate I just wanted to tell a story. I really hate these messages because if I say something offensive I get ban. I did it once and I got ban 7 days.

Really just laugh at him for being so bad at the game he did the same mistakes.

Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. Your Survivor is the textbook definition of Stupid to a T.

Couldn't figure out at first why survivors seemed to be constantly throwing games by taking hits while I was carrying someone with no chance of wiggle out over and over.

Pretty much a free 4k if one or more survivors are doing this challenge in your game.

Smart move is too take a down as Survivor get hit at hook, unhook, and get hit again. 2 protection hits guaranteed and only a hook trade.

it's just my opinion. i've tried him out and saw he isn't as bad as some people claim. the only thing he needs (in my opinion) is his movement speed to be increased to normal, otherwise he's fine.

and yes i think most killers are fine, the legion being an exception. obviously some add ons could use looking into but that's it.

Not as bad no, but he needs minor tweaks and a chain that's longer is definitely one of them. I would say if his chains increased he would be fine. Also the vaulting as the chain hits you at windows is annoying.

Majority of killers need QoL changes, small tweaks, and addon changes. Very few killers are actually "fine" I just don't see a point in changing any killers until maps are reworked.

Typical survivor main, the idea of balance is a m1 115 killer with 0 perks and all survs escaping

Problem is a lot of people play one side more and don't see the issues of the other. It creates a small divide. In the same day by the same person I have been called both a survivor main and a killer main.

People just dont like different opinions.

  • @toxicmegg said:

why do you think deathslinger needs any changes? he's fine.

No he's actually in a bad position. 18 meter range on his chain with a 110 movement speed or 4.4 MS is bad I dont mind a decent range, but that is way to short. His upper tier addons are like usual mostly useless. Currently the justifications between how slow he is and the limited range is bad like really bad. Not only that his animations feels clunky making him feels even slower. Though with how buggy DBD is I wouldn't be surprised if he was.

Any time I see you post it's quite literally too say a killer is fine when they obviously are not.

You shouldn't be able to win a match using your power exclusively, that's ridiculous. I've been playing since clown and paid good money for killers that have been nerfed immediately, yet this gimp legged relic hasn't been touched once.

Yes he has they took away his flick...yes Billy did indeed have flick.

  • @senki527 said:

what i noticed is, that almost only killer mains are lurking around in this forum. calling for survivor nerfs all the time. they dont need nerfs! i see plenty of killers getting 4k, cause they have skill. just adapt and l2p.

and don't write comments starting with "i'm a survivor main...." cause i know you are not a survivor main.

Probably because the latest updates have been screwing Killers over far more heavily than Survivors. If the updates and changes were in reverse then people responding and screaming would he survivors.

Hag is amazing, I’ve played the most of her on console, and on ps4 she shreds, 3K or 4K every game

Not a lot of people see her so they think pretty simplistic for counters.
