Same for survivor addons

A test wouldn’t hurt for sure but 16 meters I feel would be the sweet spot. Not too far, not too close.
It would make her telephone addon a little more of a choice to use as well. Otherwise I don’t know how I feel about the 3% hindered for 3 seconds only 6-7 meters away. Seems….off….to me.
The telephone addon needs a number buff to something like 8%. Personally I would want that + it reducing the time it takes to manifest/demanifest by 0.2seconds.

Oh good idea! I never even really thought about that before. Yes! Which would make sense because she isn’t “fully manifested” just yet. I love this idea. 💡
Totally makes sense.
She should also keep her pallet stun immunity and her loss of collision there. That would be great.

I do remember, and if you recall I wasn't convinced then when we were talking about it... 😅
12m where Sadako is completely invisible while manifested? I don't know where to run until she is less than 3 seconds away from me, with my reaction time to factor in too?
I dunno about you, but I have had trouble with spotting Freddy sometimes, and he's 32m invisibility range.... maybe I just suck, which is highly possible, but I know for a fact I'm gonna have A LOT of problems against a killer who I can't see beyond 12m xD
Maybe 12 meters while manifested would be too much, but while demanifested would be fine. The devs should at least test it on the ptb to see what people say. Or the solution would be making the basekit 18 meters and the addon 14-16 meters. Generally speaking 18 meters is not good, otherwise more people would use it.

I honestly would love Insidious to get a much needed rework to make it healthier (good for something else than camping) and overall more versatile by making it a stealth version of Lethal Pursuer.
At the beginning of the trial, you are Undetectable for 60 seconds or until you put a Survivor into the dying state.
Any time you are Undetectable, the effect lingers for an additional 10 seconds.
So many old perks desperately need reworks/buffs to make them in line with the current state of DBD…
That would be cool as well, but I don‘t think it is needed to remove the stand still part. At the moment this allows for some gimmicky builds with unknown, doctor and franklins.
I agree we have so many perks that need help. Behavior adjusts them far too slow or not at all.

They said recently their coding limits what they can do vertically for killer designs. Everything say above the height of the bats for example is top they can have apparently.
Yeah that‘s sad. Dbd would be so much cooler with such abilities.

With @Blueberrys tape destruction change, TED would be crisp.
I think it can be extended yeah, although this invisible at 18m thing is a little worrisome with that... Sadako has her Lullaby and her flicker is the more important aspect of her demanifest...so it's probably fine... but one to watch I think.
I realised the other day on the Wiki I'd never heard Sadako's Terror Radius.... Only he Lullaby and chase music...which is a shame cause her terror radius is a banger 🫣
The full invisibility at 18 meters would be nothing buff really. If you equip the addon it barely does anything at the moment, so we might as well make it basekit. It‘s just a nice to have. Clumb of hair would also only reduce the full invisibility to 12 meters while demanifested. This would make it fairly useful at bigger structures and make her very scary. It would be fine since she becomes visable while manifesting and loops are generally a lot shorter than that, so you would see her while looping. The only time it would make it harder to track her is when you gained a bit of distance and she has to catch up. There you wouldn’t know is she there or not? It could probably reduce the threshold for full invisibility to 12 meters while manifested as well, it should at least get tested.
That‘s the pictures we took together if you remember.
24meters:
18 meters: still very big but a lot nearer and better.
12 meters: (new basekit with 18 meters and Clumb of hair -6m)
So in comparison: The red line would be the 12 meters and yellow the 18m. Myers is the zero point.
Closer look:

Speaking of Addons. My favorite one use to be Tape Editing Deck. I hardly use it anymore because it's meh..Since she needs an addon rework do you think Well Water would be okay if they just increased its duration?
She should keep undetectable during the lingering invisibility duration (well water basekit). Her invisibility mindgames are already difficult enough to pull off with bugs, wall hacks via a directional lullaby and how you have to time it.

I enjoyed reading your thoughts surrounding safaris power. It’s always nice to see a perspective!
Thank you so much!
Question(s)- How do you feel about her spawning out of her Well each trial? 😁 Should this come as an additional teleporting location for her?
- I hope we get another Map Control killer down the road. I enjoy killers with side objectives. Ie. Pig, Sadako, Pinhead, (nemesis?)
- Something that has always bothered me about Sadako. I would like to express it here and get your perspective on it. (Here it goes…while Sadako is demanifested. She flickers in and out at a range of 24 meters in her power. Cool right? While manifested at 24 meters she is STILL visible at the same exact range while NOT in her power. This never made sense to me. I feel like clump of hair should fill this as basekit. She shouldn’t be visible at equal ranges. Am I crazy for thinking this? 🤣?)
This was just stuff I thought of today.
- Her spawning in a well and crawling out would be cool.
3. I don‘t think there is something wrong with her full invisibility range being the same while demanifested and manifested, but they should reduce it to 18 meters and make Clumb of hair that it reduces the full invisibility range to 12 meters.
-
I don’t think hags problem is her strength. She is quite strong and has little counterplay most of the time. My main reason why I don‘t like playing her is that I have to constantly set up traps all around the map, which I consider unfun. All she really needs is changes to make her playstile more fun.
I‘m glad you didn‘t go with the 4.6 m/s buff. It would be very boring like with trickster. I don‘t think she needs that either way. Her power is strong enough to make up for it. I never had the problem of s-tech and found it quite easy to hit people, so I don‘t think it’s needed.
Range increase sounds good.
I don‘t really get what you want to archive with getting a loud noise notification. It wouldn’t really matter.
The better thing against camping would be that the traps get removed/burn in a certain radius to the hook. With your suggestion the traps from before would still stay there.
Your addon suggestions are fine. I like the scream addon. I have one addon idea, her traps respawn once after a certain time after they got activated. This would be strong and keep your trap network alive a little longer.
A quality of life buff I would like to get is faster setting up speed of traps. I hate it being stuck in animations that take relatively long.
I also kinda feel like light burn should return for hags traps. That way there wouldn‘t be a basekit counter and they‘d require a flashlight or have to run into traps. I think removing light burn was what did hurt hag the most.

It would give it a unique synergy for the likes of Stealth killers like Ghostface etc. I don't see it as an issue, actually kind of sounds exciting to make builds with. Like a Lethal Pursuer for undetectable.
That was my idea to be honest. Lethal pursuer for undetectable, which pairs well with its current effect.
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:
I would love a longer duration on the undetectable, I think the 0.5 might be too quick to proc it but at the same time thats just what it sounds like on paper, maybe itd feel fine in game (if its too strong could try 1s or 1.5s).
Makes a fun mixup chase perk for killers who don't have stealth options.
I would love using this as unknown to pretend I'm an apparition, mid chaseThanks. What do think of it extending the undetectable duration of other perks and from killer powers? This would make it very useful on Sadako in specific and the later start of the chase music would be very helpful on some stealth killers.
-
I‘m happy with them changing it. I no longer have to select any challenges and they are done passively. That‘s a win for me.

Tier list debates aside, the simple truth is survivors have no reliable way to practice the fundamentals. There are 39 killers, each with their own counterplay, over 250 perks to learn, and 39 maps. Whether you think survivors or killers are stronger, the reality is that survivor has become an increasingly knowledge-heavy role with no tools to actually learn. It is trial by fire every time. It's not always a skill-issue, I think many times it's more of a skill gap, with no resoureces/tools to close it. Survivors would benefit greatly from a practice mode in the same way Killers already have one. Custom bot matches, where you can control every detail down to the items, perks, maps, ect. The list gets bigger and bigger with every new addition, which means the gap gets wider, and the pile of knowledge required to be competent increases—without even considering the amount of time/practice you have to do in order to utilize that knowledge you have.
Do you really think the majority of players would use a practice explain mode? I doubt it. There is nothing more annoying in games than having to play a tutorial. Sure you greatly benefit from them (if the tutorial is well done), but in reality none cares about playing them.
-
I think kill switch is only used if something affects the other side in a negative way.

@Deadman7600 said:
Yeah I really wish dbd would add some form of verticality to the gameplay, like some kind of killer that can fly. I just put a concept for sinister invincible on the creations forum but his power there would need a lot of invisible walls to be removed. We have killers that can rush fast but none that can actually properly leave the ground.
I agree. I think draculas bat and vecnas fly ability should be able to actually fly instead of hovering. They could also allow kaneki to pull himself into the sky. This would be awasome. The only killers that can somewhat fly for a short time are kaneki and demo under the right conditions, but even they are forced to stay on the ground when they don‘t jump from a very high place.

They can do all the same stuff now, and about 30% of the games I play with my friends, the killers DC. It's because they can never out loop my friends. I can only imagine what they'd do if they had other places to vault or climb on top of.
They can do all the same stuff now
Survivors can‘t get on those places I marked.
There are no new places to vault to (I excluded the places the killer can‘t reach) and the killer can climb on top of the same things as survivors. It would just be little bit more chaotic and allow for a more dynamic game design.

I just think survivors would abuse it…. really good loopers would at least. And the killer would end up giving up. I've seen it happen several times in games without the walls removed… imagine if they could loop and vault anything… omg that would be crazy and the killers would not have a chance against my friends.
Do you have any examples, because I have only included stuff that the killer can reach as well, which means they can all do the same stuff?
-
@AngelOfHope2017 said:
That would only be fair if survivors can do it too… then you open a whole new can of worms. I know some pro loopers that the killers rarely ever catch, they would have a field day with this.
What do you mean exactly? Survivors would not have invisble walls as well except at locations the killer can‘t reach at all (locations only reachable with a window fast vault).

…Those perks are arguments against stacking because they need to be stacked to be worth anything.
Nope they aren‘t a argument against stacking. If behavior would want to make them worth running on their own, they would have had their chance, but they rather decided to make them useless without it. Even without stacking one of these perks would need a rework, because they are nearly identical and we don‘t need two times the exact same perk.

Thanks for the answer. It‘s sad to hear. I‘ve wondered for a couple of patches already why we haven‘t gotten any of the newer killers/perks…
-
In the future it might be time for such a change, but not yet. Removing haste and hindered stacking should only be done, when they‘ve looked at all of the haste/hindered addons/perks. In the last patch behavior forgot 90% of the perks/addons that needed adjustments and they would have made more perks/addons useless than better. At the moment there is no need for removing stacking. They can try it again in some time, but there need to be changes to justify it and they need to be a lot.
Aside from that, Bloodpact and power of two are not an argument against stacking, because those perks rely on stacking to be worth running. If they are a problem, blood pact should get reworked and power of two buffed. I can‘t think of another example that could be problematic.
-
@RpTheHotrod said:
Only thing that concerns me is they are maintaining the majority of the speed buffs on perks while still allowing stacking. That means players running around at speeds that was never intended.
To be fair all the perk buffs in the ptb could have been done while keeping stacking and they forgot to buff 90% of the perks and addons related to this change.
-
Isn‘t that something good when they listen to the community? In my eyes it is.

Ah you see the problem with Franklin's is toolboxes often get spent before you can use it on them.
Franklin's is great for medlits and flashlights, but not so effective at dealing with early gen rushing. 😉
You are right, but I guess that‘s not a perk for me until something is meta to force me to use it.

Interested in the discussion.
My thought process is it allows the killer to immediately see a generator that survivors are prioritising for completion, and limits the Survivor teams ability to gen rush at the start of the trial or trying to use toolboxes to break a 3 gen.
To my mind the ideal start for killer is to find and interrupt the Survivor bringing toolboxes and BNPs. Tjat survibor DOESN'T want to be chased, so in turn that's the survivor you probably do want to chase, as opposed to the flashlight clickers who want your attention.
Obviously if no one has a toolbox then it's pointless, but if they do, it counters numerous gen rush strategies using perks like Built To Last, Streetwise, Scavenger, Hyperfocus or Bardic Inspiration with strong toolboxes.
It‘s probably fine, but my survivors don‘t bring enough toolboxes (or I didn’t notice them doing so) to justify using a counter that only works against one of all the items. Franklins is just way easier to apply and works against all items.

I'm not going to be the party clown killer so they can sell a new DLC, thats for sure. It is clear that this whole stacking removal thing was created solely to justify this perk, so having both is already a bit of a stretch.
I‘m not a fan of releasing something super strong and nerfing it into the ground to get more sales, but I‘m fine with them releasing something super strong and nerfing it so it is reasonable strong.
I‘m just happy behavior finally releases something strong again. We didn‘t have a single perk that shook up the meta since MFT. We desperately need the devs to try out more potentially controversial things.

Well, time to take a break from the game, I guess. The new perk going live servers with haste stacking is absolutely unacceptable, you don't need any testing to know it.
The new perk is too strong with and without haste stacking. Haste stacking doesn‘t change a thing about that. I just hope it isn’t too punishing for the weaker killers. Non the less they should let it go live for a few weeks and give it a fair nerf. I want to see other perks in my matches than the usual ones. The game desperately needs meta shake ups and some fresh air.

you end up with ~4.6m/s. That would be bused
It would definitely shake up the meta and bring some never seen perks to the top. Overwhelming presence and franklins would become top tier perks, which would be funny. It would probably be okay because flashlights have a limited duration even tho it would be quite annoying. Regardless they should test this. Just for fun.

As we move towards the 8.7.0 release, we wanted to thank everyone for trying out the PTB and for sharing valuable feedback. We wanted to go over some notable changes you can expect.
Haste and Hindered Stacking
The community has shared a lot of valuable feedback regarding the Haste and Hindered Stacking changes as tested on the PTB. After careful consideration by the Design team, we will not be moving forward with all of the changes. We will be moving forward allowing Haste and Hindered to stack again. The perks you saw in the PTB will continue to go Live in 8.7.0 while we monitor their usage on Live servers. The exception will be Champion of Light; this will receive changes prior to release. Keep an eye out for the Patch Notes for full details!
Abandon Option Trial Outcomes
With the new Abandon option added for Killers, we’ve noticed there is some confusion around the results on different scenarios:
Killer
Scenario #1 – If all Survivors Are Bots:
- The Killer can Abandon the match without receiving a Disconnection Penalty and the match is considered a DRAW.
Scenario #2 – If the match has continued for 10 consecutive minutes without a generator being completed or regressed:
- The Killer can Abandon the match without receiving a Disconnection Penalty and the match is considered a LOSS.
DEV NOTE: Due to a bug, the endgame screen will currently show Survivors as sacrificed. This will be fixed in an upcoming Bug Fix patch.
Survivor
Scenario #1 - When all other remaining Survivors left alive in the Trial are bots:
- The last Survivor can Abandon the match without receiving a Disconnection Penalty and the match is considered a DRAW.
Scenario #2 - When all Survivors alive in a Trial are in the Dying State:
- The Survivors can Abandon the match without receiving a Disconnection Penalty and the match is considered a DRAW.

Aye, your rework is an interesting take, and it certainly sounds unique for Sadako.
The only reason I never commented on it is the logic of OG Sadako was reversed to my mind, and while I understand your rework and it would probably be fine, its not intuitive to my brain, so I don't feel like I could genuinely add to/argue legitimately for it. Survivors only grabbed a tape to try and remove condemn, there was literally no other reason to grab a tape since Sadako disabled her TVs longer than survivors did.
This to me means however the condemn management is less unique for the survivor side, it's effectively like fighting Freddy, where you ignore the effct while its not a problem and when the effect needs to be dealt with you come off gens and go deal with it with a quick fetch quest.
A modified version on modern Sadako with the global condemn and a tape effect sees survivors responsible for managing their own condemned dynamicallybbased on what is going on in the trial, and makes facing Sadako feel more unique.
At least that's how I see it, old Sadakonfeels like she was more aggressive about targetting a specific survivor for condemn. Modern Sadako feelS like a more slow burn across the whole team. Since i have a preference for modern Sadako, I don't think I'm the right guy to argue for a version that focused much more on OG Sadako, but certainly wont argue against your version... it sounds cool 😅
My intention was not to talk about my discussion. I just wanted to bring attention to this issue that remains untalken about. For me it’s sad that almost no one talks about how to make her the scary omnipresent killer again and everyone forgets her invisibility. Both of these things have so much potential and are for me much more fun to use than condemned. The condemned playstile is always spam tp to spread, which is not even fun to do in my opinion, but with the reworks they reduced her to that and made my chase playstile completely unviable (just because condemned was „too strong“ not the chase). This leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
its not intuitive to my brain
What do you mean by that?
Only to be fair, I still had a global condemned passive timer suggestion, so I wouldn’t remove it. Just make it so you no longer have to spam it 20 times, which makes it easier to balance against good and bad players and less boring, because you can do something else in the meantime.
I generally also don‘t understand why you‘d want survivors to grab tapes? It gives you no advantage and when forced only downsides.
This to me means however the condemn management is less unique for the survivor side
What is so exciting about grabbing and turning off a TV? It is half a second interaction and not interactive. I would generally like to know.

So many good suggestions in thsi thread to be fair... The potential... it only needs to be realised... plz BHVR🙏
While I like your suggestion, it doesn‘t really solve my problem with her. I liked her first version the most because you had a very good/ fun map traversal and chase power, but since her reworks survivors are forced to turn TVs off and have TVs auras. This leaves very little room to use her power to chase survivors like back then. I wished they‘d separate the condemned counter from her mobility.

You quite literally can know where people are, it's a skill called game sense, any skilled player has it. "Without knowing there is a high progressed gen," exactly, so use game sense to know there is a high progressed gen, it's a skill, and the lack of it is a skill issue. It's not even up for debate really.
Who said I struggle? Sadako is still a weak killer, but the point is that if you want her buffed, so that survivors can deactivate her power with more than 0 cost, you have to make her less brainless, you can't have a killer be strong while not taking a reasonable amount of skill.
Condemned on hit and global condemned were a non-issue for coordinated players, but condemned on hit should be reimplemented as condemned on down and global condmen basically still exists since the previous caveat of not affecting survs holding tapes is very similar to the current one of not affecting survs near unpowered TVs.
You‘ve still not told me ONE good reason why it is a problem. It‘s just you talking about how something is not skillful enough for you, which it also doesn‘t need to be. There is no difference between blight running over the map and finding people and Sadako doing the same with her teleport. Same with nurse, Dracula …. They all traverse the map fast and find randomly people.
Sadako is not strong and with those changes she would still not be strong. Sadako has also a diffrent skill celling than others, but ask Radianthero if you want him to explain it to you.
I‘m done here arguing about irrelevant stuff and your only argument being „Skill issue“, which is no argument if you didn‘t know.

The projection cooldown only felt terrible for bad players who relied on spamming tp, the projection cooldown was only 10 seconds, there was literally zero reason to project again within 10 seconds unless you made a mistake. A projection cooldown would also limit her condemned spread while also limiting her mobility and force her to play more carefully, an absolute non-issue for good players.
It‘s not a mistake to search for people and doing it more efficiently with the teleport. Without aura perks or knowing there is high progressed gen you can‘t know where people are.
It‘s insane to me that you complain about the weakest part of her kit. There is no reason to nerf it, especially since survivors can deactivate it all times with 0 cost. If you struggle against her mobility that is huge skill issue on your part.
You probably also want condemned on hit back and global condemned because it was „absolute non-issue for good players“

They should remove the cooldown for each tv and replace it with a projection cooldown, the cooldown for each tv serves no purpose since if you need to teleport again so soon then it will be to a different tv. Also no, complaining that a killer can mindlessly spam their power without thinking is not a skill issue just because you say it is
The tp is not a problem and totally fine. There is nothing wrong with it. Having a cooldown on projection felt terrible and anyone who knows what they are talking about wouldn‘t suggest something like that.
The cooldown on the TVs serves a purpose limiting her condemned spread.

That quite literally is a skill issue, you should have to know where survivors are before projecting via gamesense, no projection cooldown allows her to just mindlessly tp over the map to find someone without having to do any thinking
Playing like that is completely fine. She already has a cooldown for each Tv! She doesn‘t need two and survivors already can hard counter her. Complaining about that part of her power is a skill issue.

Not the case with the passive condemned suggestion, and with the other two she doesn't have to get a down, just a hit, which can be done very easily. There's really no reason to argue against projection cooldown coming back unless you're not tping to the right location, which is a skill issue
The point of passive condemned is to discourage survivors from hoarding tapes and that they don‘t hold onto them until the last moment, but it would require a longer build up than mechwarrior suggests like 50-60 seconds for one stack. Everything below would be overtuned.
Her projection should never ever get a cooldown. They can bring in one for condemned if they feel like it, but not the teleport. Secondly there are people who use her tp to find people, which has nothing to with a skill issue.

In addition to the conversation going on in this thread (which we're closely following - thanks for being so in-depth with your thoughts!), I wanted to pose two other questions:
1. What do you feel is the most complex-to-understand aspect of this Killer's gameplay flow here?2. What would YOU name the Drone Buddy? 👀
The drone buddy should be named Ryan or Olaf.
