I've been in a few games where new Ruin stayed up the whole match (both PTB and internal tests). It has a humongous effect on the game if it remains. It's just too much power not to be a Hex.
One thing I think people are missing is they consider themselves, their gen, and the Killer. 1v1 it would not be that good. But when Ruin affects several gens at once because there are more than one Survivor, it's can be a huge amount of regression.
If the Survivors are three-genned, its effect is really nasty. No need to kick gens while pushing Survivors away from them.
Yet you seem to forget that as long as a Survivor is chased, all of the other 3 Survivors have absolutely no Reason at all to not work on Gens rendering its value almost non existent. As a Killer you actively would have to give up a chase in order to keep them from Gens but doing that will most certainly not contribute to the Killer getting Hooks. Maybe wait until changes to the pace of a trial are made and then push out this change alongside them or otherwise Killer Players (especially on High Ranks) will Resort to cheap and unfun tactics like Slugging, Tunneling. Especially Tunneling because if you manage to kill one survivor really early, the rest of the team is basically doomed. Yeah that’s definitely more fun than current ruin. Moris will probably be used even more because Killers have way too little time to hook 4 Survivors 3 Times. To compare one Gen equals 20% Of their Goal (not counting exit gates) completed. One Hooked Survivor equals 8,33333% of a Killers Goal Completed. When a Killer chases a Survivor, by the time the survivor is downed, 2-3 Gens will already be completed meaning the Killer did 8,33333% of his objective, Survivors already completed completed 40-60% of their Objective. The only thing that prevented the average high rank Match from looking like this was either Ruin or really bad Survivors. In fact Ruin actually proves whether or not a Survivor deserves to be at that rank. Good Survivors won’t even bother with searching for the totem and will instead work through it, meanwhile bad Survivors were punished and would be forced to waste time to search for the totem. I know a lot of people made the argument “duuuuh iF yOu cAn’T pLaY wiThOuT rUiN, tHeN yOu sHoUlDn’T hAvE iT!!!” And I honestly am amazed at how unoriginal people get with their arguments. The Reason why Ruin was pretty much mandatory at high ranks was because it was the only way for a match to have a possibly fair length of match for a Killer. Now I am able to play good on high ranks without ruin but it is a truly miserable and stressful experience that is absolutely no fun whatsoever. Now if this comment isn’t a fair criticism of a bad choice done by BHVR, then I don’t know what is.
-
Also according to LeakbyDaylight’s Patch notes leak Doc will be garbage. Apparently they slowed him down even more when charging his shock and he can’t attack for 3 Seconds after Shocking a Survivor. This gets me even more mad than the already outrageous Ruin Nerf

Are we just gonna ignore how bad the graphics are right now on top of the poor Performance, Bad Balancing and Frame Drops.
The Character Models used to look decent (at least compared to now) but then with the Plague Chapter the Graphics turned to sh*t. They got a little bit better with the recent update but holy sh*t are the frame drops ever more present.
although the poor balancing is still pissing me off the most.

Killer complaints are considered. You forget or not know about when this game came out and shack had one door and one window? Survivor. Could go there and basically never be caught. They also reworked maps so that loops aren't as strong, they've also lowered the number of pallets, and they've nerfed instaheals while also buffing and reworking killers. Quit your bias attitude.
Just because this Game used to be in an even worse state than it currently is doesn’t make up for a good excuse. The original State of the Game should be forgotten for the sake of the dignity of the original game design team. Just because this game had an even worse balance doesn’t mean that it’s current one is good.

Coincidentally, she also happens to average three kills per game if not higher (with the target being two kills two escape). Fun is definitely a factor, but not the only thing that's considered. A game is meant to be fun though, advocating for not making the game fun is a hard sell.
If the Game is balanced after this mentality then why does the Emblem System only give a pip on purple/red ranks if three Survivors were sacrificed unless if the survivors don’t heal, do Gens in the first 5 Minutes and lose chases immediately but we know that the game doesn’t work like that on high ranks (which should be the only example for balancing the game considering players will eventually go there) . Ruin is pretty much a necessity for getting a good result on gatekeeper (which in of itself is a poor design choice). The reason the average Spirit Kill Rate is above average is because she’s a great Killer who can have consistent results based on the Skill of the Killer instead of having to hope the Survivors aren’t good and the map you play on isn’t an unfair one (like Rancid Abattoir, Blood Lodge, Fractured Cowshed, Badham V, Yamaoka Estate (as in they are unfair) ) like you have to with most killers. The Problem with Spirit is that the game is in a really bad state in terms of balancing so not changing things like Generator Repair Speeds, Legions insanely underwhelming Kit and Godloops before nerfing Killers is contributing to the issue even more. One thing I also find interesting to say the least is that your Argument as to why Spirit needs changes went from her being Unfun for Survivors to her “Overperforming” after Someone mentioned how fun is subjective. And maybe the Problem isn’t the Spirit Overperforming and instead other Killers underperforming.
I think the reason many people find it frustrating to go against Spirit is that you can’t do the same stuff you do against other Killers. This Game isn’t a 1v1. It’s a 1v4 so the Killer should eventually get you. And weaker Killers have to waste more time than better killers. That’s why they (better Killers) are getting played at higher ranks.
The Reason it may seem like I wasn’t talking much about Spirit is because the Problem is more complex than just “Spirit=Op and Unfun”. And once she will be nerfed and a new Killer takes her spot as Second Best Killer, People will complain about said Killer next.

Are you making fun of Killers or Survivors?Rebel_Raven said:A shrouded, hooded shadowy figure that floats like the nurse, and darts about with startling speed!
A killer with a passive power. All survivors hear the hellish wail!! The Banshee is immune to it's own wails!
When chasing someone random high pitched whining from a 12 year old blares. "STOP LOOOOOOPING!!!!!" "HAAAAAAX!!!!" "LET ME HIT YOUUUUUUU!!!!" and assorted other screeches of annoyance.
Downed. "HAHA! NOOOOOOOOOOOB!!!!"
Hooked "GIT GUD! HAHA!!"
... Finally the screeching stops...
...
Or does it?"CAMPEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!" "RESCUE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!" "DON'T FARM ME BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
The screeches come from the hook with the survivor on it! Every survivor can hear it!Teabagging only makes it worse! Wails and gnashed teeth blast the offending survivor.
Stuns cause massive agonized shouts of frustration!
I can’t really tell -
Powers should give Killers an advantage over Survivors and since it’s an Asymmetrical Game it’s not only the Powers that should do that.

Top tier OP
Nurse (she's always going to be at the top unless the next killer is more powerful)
Hag (my boi hag was second best for a while but she's not as good as Spirit right now. Definitely better than Billy imo)
Billy (Ok he's not second best anymore and the antiheal meta makes him nowhere near as good as Hag or Spirit and some are having trouble accepting that Billy isnt 2nd anymore and Hag outshines him)
Spirit (she was meant to be below Hag and Billy, she's more effective than both in chase since there's little counterplay to her but she isn't stronger since they can both apply more pressure than Spirit.
Mid tier
Myers (he's really good and this antiheal meta has put him above most the other killers since Myers is one of the best killers at catching healing survivors with a Nurses calling).
Clown (He's just amazing and this antiheal meta makes him so strong.
Pig (a killer who can counter loops, sneak up on survivors and slow the game down all in her base kit. She's just amazing and can do so much with this new meta)
Wraith (He's a surprise to be this high up but he counters loops, blocks pallets, has decent map pressure and enhanced hearing in his BASE. Then with the windstorm addons he's pretty strong and he can actually kill now ^^)
Huntress (she's literally only this low because of her movespeed and how an experienced survivor can loop her easily like literally with no struggle)
Trapper/Doctor (they both just about made the mid tier and they both need buffs. They're both super scary but they are weak and easy to counterplay.)
Bottom tier
Leatherface (my boi is no fun to play, you can loop his power and he's rather weak can someone suggest a buff for him to me)
Freddy (I hope his buffs are as good as I think but not too much that he'll be stronger than Nurse again since he used to be sooooo strong he made Nurse a joke).
Wraith is really overrated since his “Rework”.
His Add-Ons got buffed but that’s about it.
Speaking of overrated the Hag is getting that too sind her rework which is more justified compared to The Wraith but still.
And The Hag hasn’t been good at all up until her rework but she is still not better than The Hillbilly. Hillbilly has immense Map Pressure, can shorten a Chase and he still can do all of these things. Then The Doctor is absolutely not in Low Tier since there are still a ton Survivors that fk up in a Chase with him.
The Clown however is so underrated that I think a lot of People don’t see his Potential and only consider The Hillbilly and The Nurse to be the best because everyone else says so. Anyways speaking of the Clown, he has great Chase Potential and Add-Ons only increase his Power. He can also put out immense Pressure and is great with Hex: Devour Hope.
Then The Shape. The Shape is also incredibly underrated probably because he’s a licensed Killer but he has incredible Mindgames and often peopl and think his Tier 3 insta down makes him good to which I can say:”What the fk! Are you stupid?” He has incredible Mindgames and together with The Doctor has the most Game-Changing Add-Ons. Michael is terrifying. And another advice is playing him on Lerys with Scratched Mirror, Hex: Ruin, Rancor, Save the best for Last/Hex: Noone escapes Death and Monster and Abuse.
You can’t read his Aura in Tier 1 which you’ll be staying in you can however read theirs and this is one of the most fun builds in the Game
Wraith is not overrated, Hag is not weak idk why people keep saying that, I've mastered Billy, Nurse (kind of), and Hag and I will stand by my statement because I find Hag a lot better to use, shuts down every loop and if u have everyone crouching around with Urban, you're able to get around the map faster then them which lets her patrol the gens pretty well. Overrated is Huntress and Billy.
Huntress can literally get looped 10 times by someone who knows what they're doing and that's just at a normal pallet loop. The only reason why people consider her top tier is because not everyone knows how to counter her whereas Wraith on the other hand, can shut down normal loops, go across the map fast and down people who know what they are doing better then Huntress. Sure he's not the best but he's better then her at a lot.
Billy is definitely top tier because he can bounce back from messing up a lot better then any other killer. But he's still not as good as a Hag who knows what she's doing. I mean Hag with sloppy can injure a whole team that are spread around the map quicker then any other killer and have one hooked Nurse can't because Nurse would have to know where they are and the others can manage 2 at a time if they are smart. She can literally keep survivors off gens for so long with sloppy there's nothing that Billy can do better except bouncing back from mistakes. And with 3 people injured and one hooked, one survivor will have to go unhook while injured and Hag basically wins from there. Whereas Billy gets genrushed bad. And the reason I know she can do that is because It's happened to me a very suprising amount of times. Now even further, she can actually use a Nurses to slug a survivor for someone to go pick them up and then she will dominate. Hag is the 2nd best killer because no other killer except Nurse can manage that. And even so, Nurse takes longer to get it started like that and it's harder. Next time someone says Hag is worse then Billy I wont bother writing such a big arguement lol.
However what do you mean with:” and if you have everyone crouching around with Urban, you’re able to get around the Map faster then them which lets her patrol Gens pretty well.”
Urban counters Hag and thus makes her unable to teleport.
And no Hillbilly is not overrated. He has way better Map Pressure than Hag since for her to have Map Pressure, Survivors first have to trigger the Traps meanwhile the Hillbilly has Map Pressure and can instantly down Survivors.
And a Hag who knows what she’s doing cannot beat Survivors that know what their doing. As soon as she traps a Loop, Good Survivors will just run to the next Loop. A Hillbilly who knows hat he’s doing won’t even need his Mallet anymore since he can instantly Chainsaw them -
Wraith is really overrated since his “Rework”.Poweas said:I made another version of this but that is outdated as hell so here's my new one.

She definitely is not B+. Slows the game down with RBT, RBT (Reverse Bear Traps) can cause status effects. Her stealth game is one of the best (crouching) next to Wraith and Tier 1 Myers. You cannot escape through the Exit gates with RBT. She can predict which device you will go to and stop you from unlocking RBT and because of the panic it causes in survivors Amanda can slug and sloppy butcher slows down survivor progression even more. Cheap!!!I think the reasoning is a little off for Pig. Pig has amazing mind game potential because of her ambush at pallets and loops. Her strongest asset is her ambush.
I disagree, her strongest asset is her Traps! You cant use crouch to stop pallet looping at all, its actually a weak strategy imo because strong survivors wont fall for that

Break 1 totem, free 1 random generator of the hex. Break 5, and 5 of the generators are free from the hex.

The Nurse: C+, You kidding me, right? She can blink through almost every objects, making her pretty hard to loop against, you're the first guy I've ever that underrated her!
The Hag's only real useful tool is the teleporting aspect, so that's sort of a downfall. #########!??? She can mind game survivors with the traps, counter loops, creating map pressures, and you're saying her traps only use for teleportation? You're not a Hag player, I can say that!
The Doctor overpowered? Another bias!! He sucks as he lacks an ability to deal damage and apply pressure: he wastes too much time bringing survivors up to tier 3, and once he has he has no increased chase potential.
The Wraith's invisibility needs a nerf??? DUD!!! He's one of the worst killers along with Freddy and Leatherface! Even if he's stealth, survivors can still see him clearly! And he takes fckin' long time to uncloak himself!!!
Leatherface overpowered? That's bullshit! He doesn't even have anything to help him during the chase, and doesn't have any Map Pressures! He's also pretty weak at pallet loops as well! Yeah he can insta-down, but that's the only thing he good at!!

The ONLY one on the A tier list that is on Myers level is Huntress. Doctor is pretty weak. His ability doesn’t really help him in a chase, Doctor is the most overrated killer in the game honestly. Other than that I’d switch Myers and Doctor but your list is pretty accurate.
It might be just my personal preference, because I perform pretty well with Doc. And the main reason for it is that he can actually affect multiple targets with his aura.
Something most other killer are lacking.. My main issue is always how can I get the other of the gens while I chase ONE? Doc has a solution for that. Doctor is good when it comes to map pressure if it is a smaller map (Game, Hospital, Yamaoka) and you pair it with Distressing and Unnerving. His ability just doesn’t cut it for me, he is just too weak at loops. It’s also a preference when it comes to Myers with me. I love the extended lunge of EW III and his ability to sneak up on survivors in the beginning with his smaller terror radius. I’d take Myers, Spirit, and Pig over Doctor. I even preform well with Freddy believe it or not. I perform well with everyone but I like Michael because of the Mindgames.
The Doctor however actually can somewhat manipulate a Chase.
Well i agree he is pretty weak and the time it takes to switch modes should be decreased but he is not overrated.
That Title belongs to the Huntress
Doctor can’t cut off loops but the Huntress can and that is one thing she holds over Doctor. A good Huntress is not going to be looped. Not to mention she can have a one hit down with hatchets which cannot be countered while Doctor’s entire ability can be somewhat countered by Calm Spirit. I’ve run Calm Spirit and had very little issues with Doctor finding me. It’s not a perfect counter but it’s a strong counter.
Huntress isn’t very loopable and can have an insta-down. Her ability helps her in a chase. Doctor isn’t good in a chase and is easily loopable. A Huntress who doesn’t know how to effectively use hatchets or without hatchets however is going to be bullied which is the reason I don’t play her because I’m not good with long range attacks. I’m personally better with Doctor but Huntress has a higher potential.
The Doctor actually has a Tool in a Chase and would be ay better if they would make him be able to switch modes instantly.
The Doctor can prevent Survivors from Vaulting or Dropping a Pallet and in Madness lvl. 3 Survivors can’t even Flashlight-Blind him.
While I do agree that he needs a Buff, Leatherface is never ever better than him.
And I do have my reasons for calling the Huntress overrated.
The Huntress has 110% Movement Speed because of her Power but while her Power is good at punishing Vaulting or Dropping Pallets when she runs out of Hatchets, since dodging them is really easy so it won’t take long until that happens, she’s a Terrible Killer and in order to be somewhat effective you have to waste time at a Locker. BTW Wraith is still really bad and only with add-ons he is somewhat OKHuntress has a 110% movement speed because she has a long range attack. I personally suck with the Huntress because I am awful with aiming hatchets. She’s in the higher ranks on most tier lists because in the right hands she is deadly. If you put her best add-ons on her she is really good. I do believe she is slightly overrated but not as overrated as Doctor. I have never been a fan of Doctor, he is more of an annoyance than actually a deadly killer. I leave the match with a headache whether I am playing survivor or the Doctor himself.

A Huntress, Hag, Clown, Doc, Spirit
B Wraith, Pig, Myers
C Freddy, Leatherface, Trapper
OP pretty much overrates most killer.
That Title belongs to the HuntressDoctor can’t cut off loops but the Huntress can and that is one thing she holds over Doctor.
BTW Wraith is still really bad and only with add-ons he is somewhat OK -

Was the Doctor turtured into being a Killer or his just an ######### and why doesn’t he like sleeves.
-
Send this to the Survivors if they attack you post game...
-
When I watched the Trailer for the Doctor
thats when the Game fought my Attention since in all the Thumbnails was the Picture of the Doctor
And you can’t deny that he looks terrifying -
I love Hex: Devour Hope
Yeah it’s really sad but if the Totems stays it’s beautiful -
He’s in a really ad spot on the Tier List Right now
-
I love fighting Doctor, Nurse, Billy Boi, Spirit, Wraith, Hag and The Shape
I really don’t enjoy playing against Freddy and I know that he is really bad but I just think he isn’t fun to play against
BTW this is coming from a Rank 1 Killer Main -
Rank 1 ZAPPY Boi Main since I love him and he’s the Reason I thought DbD is worth checking outPhantomMask20763 said:I'm a rank 1 Freddy main and I really want to get better at Doctor just because I love his overall design and how his power works. If any doctor mains could give me some tips or advice on what perks to run and what strats to use in him it would be great. My current build is distressing, overcharge, overwhelming presence and make your choice. Is my build bad or can I improve on it because I really want a better build for him.
I have him at P3 at this Point and the Bloody Cosmetics only make him Look even more terrifying. He is somewhat weak and needs buffs but I love him anyways.
But this how I would buff him:
- Make his Add-On Calm be part of his Kit
- Make him be able to instantly switch Modes
- Increase his Speed in Therapy Mode to 115
or 120%
- Increase The Tyme in which Survivors can’t
do any actions like Vaulting or Dropping a
Pallet
- Give him an Add-On that Inverts Survivors
Controls in Madness lvl. 3
If you respond to this with:”UHHH THAT WOULD MAKE HIM OP!”
I respond with this: This is an ASYMMETRICAL GAME! The killer needs to be OP to able to compete against 4 Players
-
In in my Opinion Huntress is actually worse than The Doctor simply since dodging her Hatchets is pretty easy and as soon as she runs out on Hatchets she’s screwed if she doesn’t want to waste tyme
Thee Doctor on the other Han while not being perfect he actually has 115% Movement speed.
He should be able to immediately switch modes,
increase the Tyme in which Survivors can‘t vault or drop a pallet and give him 115% Movement Speed in Therapy Mode
-

Thats why I leave messages on so I can respond with this Picture
Also being 1 Pip away from being a Rank 1 Killer, I can tell you PS4 Survivors aren’t really that good.
An exception of course am I but I don’t play Survivor that often
And I usually save up my Moris for OchiDo -
What about giving The Doctor an Ultra Rare Add-On that inverts The Controlls of Survivors in Madness level 3

@LRGamer said: please Buff Autodidact Make it increase the Chance for Skillchecks and while you do so Fix Deliverance Just no. Further improving any healing abilities at this point would throw off the balance even more. Healing is already way to easy. They increase the Time it takes already
but You would waste A Perk Slot for nothing
The time it takes for what?
They announced that they will increase the tyme it takes to heal up
they want to give Survivors more objectivesOh yea… they announce a lot… they also announced the one time heal and that came…? Never?
Nerfs to survivor often get announced and never happen (or get reversed asap).
