Clown going from F- tier to F tier!
Honestly, he needs a complete rework. His bottles are worse than Freddy's snares, have to be aimed, and have to be reloaded. And he doesn't have map wide teleport, and is affected by BT. There is literally 0 reason to play Clown over Freddy, he's worse in every single way.

Same! I swear to god there was some piece of media that mentioned he was half Native American, but I could be wrong. I wanna say it was one of his yellow cosmetics.

I'm just amazed that after this much time people still think Deathslinger is bad. He has poor map control due to being 110, but I'd argue he's second only to nurse in his 1v1 ability. Unless the DS is trash, if you start a chase with him you will go down at some point, usually somewhat quickly unless you have high structure density. He reminds me a bit of old Franks Mixtape legion, where he doesn't win the game overall, but he wins chases 100% of the time.
-
BBQ, Infectious, Monitor, Game delay perk of your choice.
Oni relies on snowball to be a good killer, so Infectious Fright is a must. It allows you to chain downs together in his power and apply insane amounts of pressure. BBQ for BP, but also because it gives you good intel on where survivors are so you can get within eyesight and pop your power. Monitor because his terror radius is weirdly faint as is, so having it lowered when not in chase is amazing for getting closer to players before they run. Also when in chase your TR is increased, leading to more IF procs. And game delay because he really needs it: Oni without his power is the weakest killer in the game. You need something to slow down the game enough for you to get a few hits in to start drawing blood and snowballing. I run ruin, though PGTW is good too.
-
BT has a permanent slot in my perks so all I really hope is that the survivor has a brain and knows to take a hit if needed. But OTR is a good perk for sure.
-
Coal tower IMO is the most balaced and well made map in the game. Perfect size, decently strong structure for survivors but still winnable as killer.
-
Even with dedicated servers leading to ground exhaustion, I still think Dead Hard is the best when used correctly. Using it for distance allows you to eek out the last couple feet you need to get to a pallet or window, which can extend the chase by minutes. SB and Lithe are good for putting distance between you and the killer, but that ground is easily made up and it doesn't really help you loop better.

Decisive shouldn't be on timer.
The problem with it before was the fact that it was a free hook state, but now it's only use is to PREVENT tunneling/getting farmed. Maybe instead it should be that as long as you aren't healed yet after your unhook you keep it active, but when you heal it goes away. Using a whole perk slot just for the killer to wait deliberately 60 seconds isn't worth the risk IMO, but then again counter-play is good for "competitive" games like this. Just my two cents :)!
That's...a horrible idea. So as long as I stay injured, I get a free life, even if it's several minutes later?
-
Depends on the map, honestly. On Blood Lodge, absolutely. On Hawkins or the Game, not really. Huntress needs long sightlines to get value out of hatchets.

Here's another interesting one for you all (if anybody bothers, since I'm somewhat aware of my reputation):
KILLS ARE NOT EVERYTHING. And with the emblem system in place, it's better to get Merciless Killer as Legion with only one kill, than to get a straight up 4k with an instant-down killer and get Brutal Killer. You are better off slowing down the game wherever possible and torturing survivors with a combination of small amounts of slugging, hit and run to keep everyone injured, kicking gens to activate regression and it is (at least for me) way more fun.
We have found the mythical 4Head that used Ruin for the Gatekeeper Emblem.

-Nurse being able to ignore 90% of chase mechanics isn't healthy for the game. Not saying she's op I just think ignoring chase mechanics isn't good for the health of the game. (but I also don't want her to be like all the other Killers so really just a lose-lose situation here)
-Legion and Clown aren't as bad as people say. They definitely need changes though.
-PGTW is busted for the amount of regression it can give. +1 gen every 4 hooks. Absolutely ridiculous.
-SWF is fine and should not be punished in a casual game.
-Shattered Bloodline was the worst DLC. Spirit alone would be enough to make this the worst DLC, and Yamaoka Estate just makes it even worse.
-New Hex: Ruin is actually stronger now on certain Killers.
-The co-op gen repair nerf was unnecessary. Gen times are perfectly fine.
-Surge is a top tier gen slow-down perk.
Gen times are fine, map sizes are not. I should not lose two gens because I happened to spawn across the map on Mothers Dwelling as Huntress. The co-op speed nerf was instituted to prevent this.
Surge only affects gens in a small range, only triggers on basic attacks, and has a cooldown. It's hot garbage.
@[Deleted User] said:
Nurse isn't the #1 killer in the game anymore, the rework/nerf made Nurse into a killer that is both hard and unreliable. People that don't play Nurse like to pretend like the rework just made Nurse easier to beat and that people aren't playing her, because they don't have enough skill, but she is not in a good place right now. I'm not saying you can't have good games with her, but you can put in half as much effort into other killers and be rewarded more than when playing Nurse. (You also aren't likely to see any new Nurses as she is pretty much the most unenjoyable experience in the game...)
Nurse, as long as she has her power, is the killer with the highest potential. She's generally bad because nurse is hard, but the best nurse in the game is better by far than the best of any other killer in the game.

"Lightborn tbh is totally worthless, sorry."
I'm gonna have to disagree there. Since I've started using it, unless I just deliberately stand still and stare at the flashlight, I never get blinded now. I'm sure there are better perks, but if you're like me and you just stick with all the default killers and perks, you have to make use out of whatever is available.
But hey, we can both agree that Wraith has potential to be used well.
Lightborn is a perk that accomplishes nothing but what the player can do themselves with a little forethought. Watch for flashlights in lobbies, bait out flashlight saves, or just look at a wall. It's a total waste of a perk slot when you could be using things infinitely stronger.
But yeah Wraith is honestly one of my fav killers. He's pretty basic, but I think he has a lot of depth that people overlook once you slap windstorm on him. The problem is that without windstorm he's dogshit lol

As a Wraith main, I disagree with the statement that Wraith is a crappy killer. If you're a good mindgamer and you have Lightborn on, he can actually be pretty powerful.
Wraith with the right build is surprisingly good. Lightborn tbh is totally worthless, sorry, but BBQ/Spirit Fury/Enduring/Pop and Purple Windstorm and Allseeing is a pretty nasty build. Just munch thru pallets and get windstorm lunges and you can 4k pretty consistently.

Hillbillies who get 90% of their downs with chainsaws are actually trash killers who have to rely on instant-downs. His chainsaw is his POWER not a weapon.
I've seen you post this opinion multiple times and I'm just baffled as to how someone can have this opinion. Do you think the devs just accidentally made it one shot? If it was just supposed to be for mobility, why would there be a charge time?
My unpopular opinion is that I think that Deathslinger is probably top 3 killers in the game, behind Nurse and Spirit. If played correctly, his power is uncounterable save for lucky guesses, much like spirit. And like Spirit, every time you "guess" against DS it costs you, so both Spirit and DS can get downs without ever using their power, just by faking it. Just stand still as Spirit, or ADS as Deathslinger.

Peanits literally said above you they're being worked on. It's likely a massive fix that will take time, and there's no sense delaying small but important fixes just so they can release it with the big ones.
-
Fixing Huntress's deviousness was a pretty huge thing. And it's very likely that they just hotfixed immediately things that were easy fixes, while still working on larger problems like Hillbilly and Wraith. No sense in delaying small but important fixes just so you can release them with bigger ones.

IMO any perk that relies on the survivors doing something completely out of your control is never worth running. I think Tofu tried making Cruel Limits work and he just literally never could find any value. It's a worthless perk and just needs to be completely remade.

Same video, 2 different times. Just watch it and you have the answer why survivors think he is broken in chases. About as much fun as to play COD unarmed.
Also:
"I main deathslinger since his release and even tho i still manage to get most of my games with 4 kills in red ranks, i still consider he would need some buffs, he require more skill since it require more accuracy than huntress and his hitbox isn't big like a truck, so why is he boring/broken/tryhard?"
Oh yea he need some buff, you know... 4K almost all the time as you say is defnitly not enough. I mean, you are the killer so you are entiteld to get 4K 5gen every game.
Seriously, get out of here.
I share Zubat's opinion of Deathslinger, that he's pretty easily a top 5 killer and the only thing that defeats him is maps. He's so slow that he's countered by large maps, but in a 1v1 he's completely oppressive. Being against a good deathslinger is like being against a good nurse, there's just an inevitability that you'll go down. But with Deathslinger there's not much skill involved, just get a crosshair and M2-M1 for a free hit. And that's exactly why I think he's boring, because the chase against him is nonexistent. Your game becomes a race of holding M1 on gens and praying you do it faster than he kills everyone.

I will always miss original Tinkerer. Dual-speed addons+Original Tinkerer made Bubba crazy fast. I still remember starting my chainsaw in killer shack and hitting someone with that chainsaw attack at the jungle gym window that was NEXT TO the killer shack.
The survivor messaged me afterwards:
Survivor: "what the hell was that ?!"
Me: "Bubba on lots of good stuff 😎"
Tinkerer was a direct ability buff perk and thus allowed to spice things up. Really miss it.
The devs said that every killer add-on they added basically had to be coded twice, once for with tinkerer once for without. It got removed because it was just a pain to do, but I definitely miss it.

I didn't used to use it too much, I remember using the old brutal strength that was literally 2 times better than the newer one
Numbers wise it was, but that's just because old pallet kick time was insanely slow. Old brutal and new brutal kick in the exact same amount of time, just new pallet kick is faster so Brutal gives less improvement
-
Had this happen as well. The upside is as soon as a second gen is done it goes down to 3 gens left.
-
Unless you post something to help them identify the issue, they can't help you. A million things could cause a DC, most of which are on your end. The fact that this is only happening to you makes it almost definitely something specific to your setup. Have you tried verifying game files?

Nope😊 maybe actually try her and go against a bunch of red rank swf. Then judge me after.
Bloodlust timer resets on blinking. If you get bloodlust as Nurse, you're choosing to chase survivors as a 98% movespeed killer rather than blink, which is hilariously stupid.
-
Bloodlust as a concept, until maps are "perfected", will always be needed. However Bloodlust 2 and 3, which grant frankly ridiculous speeds to killers solely for just doing their jobs poorly, IMO should eventually be removed. It's incredibly irritating to go down to a player who just respects every pallet and refuses to kick it, instead bloodlusting around it until they're so fast that you physically cannot get away. They'll lose the game, sure, but you as the survivor were put into a literally unwinnable situation based off of a bad mechanic. Bloodlust is a necessary mechanic because of strong windows and poor map design. Bloodlust 2 and 3 are just crutches.
-
Honestly, I don't think most of the moris need updating. Ones like Hag, Spirit, Pig (it's a reference to a scene in the movie, iirc) and most of the later killers are all great. Deathslinger and Oni IMO are two of the best moris in the game, I think they're amazing. The only ones that really need changing completely are original killers like Trapper, Wraith and Billy to a degree.
-

SS; Good Billy and Oni games are always so fun to me, because they're my mains. Good players respect good players. Myers is also so straightforward, but such a fun and well designed killer imo.
S: Wraith and Bubba are really fun to go against as well, but they're not in SS because they're significantly more likely to camp/be scummy. Demo is another well designed killer, though he can be a bit annoying, and legion is just a meme lol
A: Doc and Clown M1 killers that have powers that are boring to go against in chase, but still not wonderful. I'm honestly not super bothered by doc screams, just hate that you can't heal people in T3 madness. Pig is annoying because stealth but fine otherwise, and most nurses are bad, but good ones are terrifying.
B: Plague and hag are both annoying to go against because their powers make them unfun. Plague everyone is just injured, and hag just traps hooks and loops. Huntress used to be my fav killer to go against, but since dedicated became a thing, every other hatchet I get hit by is nowhere near my body, which is annoying. Trapper I like the concept of, but I hate losing a chase because I just didn't check a particular patch of grass.
C: Spirit has no counterplay if the killer has 4 brain cells to rub together (just walk 4Head), and Deathslinger is very similar. Both are killer that, once a chase starts, you'll go down within 2 minutes unless the killer is terribad. Deathslinger has 0 map pressure so he's still beatable, but Spirit is very powerful for very little effort. And Ghostface is a buggy POS that for some reason is always played by the biggest pricks in the game. Cloak camping hooks, teabagging slugs just to be toxic, just all around irritating. Plus, the amount of times I've been literally touching a ghostface and somehow not revealing him is astounding.
And Fredward. The most braindead, boring killer to go against in all of existence. Gets value out of slow addons just for existing. Can camp and tunnel off hook with no consequence because BT doesn't work against him if you're asleep, and he'll just hit you mid unhook so you always are. Can snare spam safe loops and hold W to get free hits in no time at all. And has free mapwide teleport, just cuz why not. Boring boring boring.
-
IMO zubatlel is the best all around player when he tries. His grasp on what killers/survivors are going to do, as well as pathing and map resources is second to none that I've seen.
-
He has old legion syndrome, where once you're in a chase with a snare Freddie, going down is just a matter of when, not if. If a Freddie just spams snares around a safe pallet, he eventually gets a hit by just holding M1, with little to no brainpower. The rest of his util is strong, but just the lack of counterplay when he spams snares is the thing that makes me hate Freddie the most.

This is a PvP game, there's gonna be winners and losers, and the "power role" is just whoever is more skilled. If you want to be the powerful one in the game, then git gud.

Good Nurses are borderline unbeatable, but no one plays nurse anymore because it's tremendously unfun. ZubatLel is a good example: He was a god tier nurse who played somewhat frequently before the nerf, but after the nerf with all the bugs she has, as well as just the annoyance of having to wait for blink recharges, he doesn't play her because she's just not enjoyable. When he does he still smacks, chases last like 20 seconds, but it's just not fun.

What happened up to that point?
I'm not implying anything and I actually encourage you to report that player for that last comment. What I'm saying is that there's a clear lack of context here in how you show us one single screenshot and leaving it at that. In my experience, it happens from time to time to get that survivor who goes gg ez post game, although nowhere near close as often as the ongoing meme in this forum would suggest, and it's also far rarer in the red ranks.
However, when they rub it in like that screenshots shows, it's almost always because something egregious happened during the match, or heated words were exchanged in the chat previously. You just show us the final part of the story. Still, their last comment is inexcusable, as I said.
As far as the power role is concerned, that's just a made up slogan to justify asking buffs and nerfs. This is a 4v1 horror-themed game. There's no power role that entails some sort of 'right' to rule over someone else.
Considering the one death he got was a kill rather than a sacrifice, I'd wager he brought a mori and tunnelled the bottom player trying to get it. He doesn't have any perks that can cause a mori, so unless the UI bugged and gave the bottom player a kill skull instead of a sacrifice, he brought a mori and edited the screenshot to show no offerings.

Billy curving should be unchanged.
There's an animation issue on the PTB which may be affecting the control feeling, but the actual turn rate goes to 32 degrees/sec, same as before.
If you can provide some evidence of difference in turn rate, please do. We're keeping an eye out for any control sensitivity issues that may have occurred as a result of this update.
I don't have any videos of myself doing it, nor do I have anything truly quantitative, but here's Zubat playing billy on PTB and experiencing the exact things that I did.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/585716840?t=1h42m52sCurving sensitivity feels very off from what it was before, and Peanits was in chat saying it had to do with uncoupling the billy turn sensitivity from controller sens set by the user.

To me, DS is an anti-tunnel perk. If I actually tunnel you because I'm down in the game or I can't find anyone else, and you hit me with DS, totally fair game, I'll take my stun and go look for other targets. But if I hook someone else and then get 59 second DSed by you, or you notification spam and force me to pull you out of a locker, then you've lost the use of your anti-tunneling perk when I didn't tunnel. As a result, I have zero qualms about making you regret that after your next hook if it's advantageous to me.

Certain maps survivors will just lose because they cram 8 generators into a small area with a fast killer 🤷♂️
There's only one map that's as easy as a win for killer as Ormond, Cowshed and Haddonfield are for survivors, and that's Azarov's.
@OtakuBurrito said:
Genrushing isn’t real as it’s the only requirement survivors have to complete to leave. A survivor can not interact with a killer all game and still pip up and get out. If you want to interact with survivors better patrol gens and learn how to force set ups.
Mostly agree, though I do think genrushing is a thing, but it's not what people whine about. IMO, genrushing is sitting on gens to get them done as fast as humanly possible, even if it means screwing your teammates. Someone who pops a gen when you have 2 people slugged and you're chasing the third is genrushing to me.

Well, i would argue if he gets destroyed every game, no matter what he thinks about it, the problem is not him, but a matchmaking that obviously continiously paires him with opponents above his skill level.
Why do you think he is to blame for that?
I wouldn't disagree. But OP isn't commenting on the quality of matchmaking, they're blaming SWF for losses. While he may be against better players because of ######### matchmaking, at the end of the day he's still losing because they players are better, not because SWF is an instant win button.
-
Certain maps you will just lose. That's just part of the game at this point, unfortunately, due to poor map design on the part of the devs. But tactics you can use:
Slowdown perks like Pop and Corrupt, and Ruin on certain killers that can get players off of gens like Billy and Oni
3 gen strats are more necessary now than ever. Play certain gens in a cluster, drop chase if they go too far outside of the area that the gens are in.
The biggest one that no one has mentioned: Slugging. Slugging is the most powerful tool for game delay a killer has right now, imo. If you see a second survivor right after you've downed the first, chase the second. This reduces the available survivors on gens from 3 to 1, as you'll be in the chase with the one you saw, and someone has to leave a gen to go pick up a slug. If you're down in the game, picking up survivors when another is in easy chaseable range is losing momentum.

I can confirm not all 4men swf are swety try hards who rush the game from my own experience lmao. We play to have fun and we try to let the killer also have fun whilst doing so. We play nice until we're given a reason not to.
4men swf aren't the issue, the people who abuse this feature are.
No man, don't be silly, every person in this game who wants to play with a friend is a filthy disgusting tryhard that deserves to be banned.
SWFs are the biggest scapegoat in this community, and the mantra of people who just don't want to acknowledge that they have a lot to learn before they're a top tier killer. 4 man SWFs only survive 9% more than a solo survivor according to BHVR's publicly available stats, and yet every bad killer cries on here that they go against Marth's depip squad every other game. No, you just don't know how to play against decent players.

Virtually everyone from tryhard Claudettes on 3rd party comms to chilled friends realise they have an advantage over solo survivors yet BHVR refuse to do anything to balance the game.
BHVR have mentioned the 2nd of sometime in the future to buff solo survivors to somewhere near SWF levels.
Why isn't there an urgency to this?
I can only think of one thing in that they are catering for the money brought in by SWF.
SWFs are a mixture of solo and killers so predicting this is a fallacy.
BHVR remain quiet and seem to want to hide information, are they lazy?, understaffed?, do they think SWFs provide their bread and butter? for the life of me I can't understand why they make changes to killers/perks/addons in the name of balance but ignore the huge imbalance in SWFs!
Devs be pulling in that dark SWF money lmao
The reality is that, the reason they don't do anything about the "SWF Problem" is because it's not really that big of a problem. Not every SWF you see is a coordinated depip squad, it's usually just people casually playing with friends, and BHVR has publicly available stats to back that up. 4 man SWF groups only survive 9% more than a solo survivor on average. If you think you're getting destroyed by coordinated SWFs every game, the problem is likely just you.
-
Actual footage of SWF crying killers reacting to BHVR's stats showing that 4 man SWF only survive 9% more than solo queue.
Seriously, for the love of god, not every SWF is a hyper coordinated depip squad. Believe it or not, some people actually have friends and want to play video games with them. I main killer at rank 1, and I'd say I go against a hyper coordinated 4 man maybe one game out of every 50 or so. If you think every game you lose is because of SWF, you're probably just going against decent survivors that are better than you.

Insta saw is not busted. You just dont know how limited HillBilly is without steering addons. You can waste plenty of his time if he tries to insta saw you on jungle gyms, shack or some short loops. The thing is insta saw Bily will always try to one shot down you and if you cant avoid that chainsaw you just need to get better at it.
yeah...no... Having a set of items that reduce power up and cooldown on a one shot by 30% and 34% respectively is insanely strong, especially with no downsides and other small advantages. It takes his charge down to 1.75 second and his cooldown to 1.3, so there's literally zero need to play smart. Billy's balancing factor is his charge up and cooldown, and reducing both by a third with no drawbacks and other benefits is nuts.
-
Honestly, other than main buildings, no tiles should have breakable walls at all. If they add them to shacks or jungle gyms on other realms, I'll be so disappointed, and I main killer. Killers should not be able to forgo learning how to correctly run tiles in lieu of just kicking down a wall and making it unsafe.

If he gets a buff, I'd say to just increase Pop Goes The Weasel to regressing the Generator by 50% as opposed to 25% and have Coulrophobia affect all types of speed and progression, not just penalizing Healing progression speed. That would account for his overall lack of being able to pressure a map as effectively as some other Killers.
I voted for The Nurse. Yes, she needs another massive rework. I feel like she's broken the way she is. There's a reason why I haven't faced her in, nearly, two months now and why I, myself, never use her. She's strong, but so very weak and flawed. All that needs to be done with her is to increase her movement speed and reduce her fatigue. If there's already a cool down period for her using Spencer's Last Breah, why does she need to be fatigued the way she is?
I don't think she's weak, she's just unfun to play because of all her bugs. Fix them, and maybe increase her recharge rate a bit, and she'd be back in a good spot. The reason so few people play her now is because I honestly think 3/4 of Nurse players crutched on addons to give them easy wins.
I chose Clown, but I think you could make a case for Clown, Legion, or Pig at this point. Clown and Legion both need radical reworks, but I think clown is the worst. He's literally just Freddie, but without 2/3 of his power, and the third of it you have is objectively worse because you need to aim, you slow when you use it, and when you run out of bottles you need to reload. Just completely rebuild him from the ground up, because he's abysmal.
