I still think they don't. I just explained why he might have saw some which I can't believe. Maybe as a warm up at best lmao
So let's break this down:
They do play public matches.
They are rare.
High MMR players will likely encounter them at some point.
-
If you don't care about the topic of the discussion, their is no reason to weigh in. Make your own topic saying you hate the map.

No they don't. And if they do, they just do a few times and upload those few times. The probability you version them even once a month is below 1% if you have reached mmr cap. Below cap probably never
So you've massively shifted your goal post from "they don't do it" to "they do it but rarely".
Fascinating.

Who cares what sided it is if it's unfun to play on it? I don't enjoy it as survivor nor as killer, it's garbage.
Yes, but to say that it's killer sided is patently false. The bad information is the issue of the post not the map being terrible.
-
Kill rates literally prove nothing without looking at the smaller picture.
Based on kill rates, blight and nurse clearly need buffs to make them as good as the other killers right?
You have to look at the massive influx of new players and the fact rpd is literally 90 percent of maps right now. I played 7 matches yesterday and every single one was rpd with no offerings. Couple that high map rate with a bunch of new survivors throwing themselves at killers and you get 80%.

@Gary_Coleman said:
Because when you're playing killer you're potentially playing against 4 people in a swf group. When you play solo queue survivor, you are playing with 3 random people who are not communicating.
Yeah I feel some killers are so jaded by SWF bully squads they treat all survivors like they are in a swf... which isn't fair to them.

No you don't. Epic survivors are tourney players who don't Q pub lobby's.
Except players this good DO q for pubs. There are plenty of clips on YouTube.
-
Because playing weak killers is a legitimately miserable experience for numerous reasons.
First of all, their is no way to practice a killers power out side of customes which requires a friend. (Solution, add a bot practice mode)
Second of all, mmr matches you with a killer you've never touched (and only one perk) as if you are playing your main (which is crazy)
Third. Survivors are in general going to be toxic enough Post game to make you not want to play the game for the rest of the day. I've NEVER done poorly in a game as killer and not gotten massively abused post game.
Fourth. Only a handful of killers are viable at high MMR. Selecting anyone below A tier Is (sans someone with an absurd number of hours on a particular killer) is almost an automatic loss.
-
When was hook escape not a mechanic?
-
@MeneLaw said:
I dont have much to say just : blight after blight after blight and so on .Maybe some diversity.
Then buff the other killers to be viable at high mmr play.
-
Didn't they use the words "slightly" when they cut is bound hitbox by half? So can we expect a likewise increase?
-
Give him 30cm hitbox and fix his bugs on hotfix one. I suspect he will be a pretty popular killer after that
-
Slinger is to high. Hag is at least better then Oni.
In no universe is pig better then wraith and sadako.
-
Does anyone know when the first hotfix will be?
-
He's just a much weaker huntress after the nerfs.
-
Wesker with the correct buffs and bug fixes will easily be both better and more fun.
As it is, wesker is still more fun but absurdly frustrating to play.
-
@GoshJosh said:
RPD maps worse than ever (for survivors), Weskers proxying and tunneling like they won’t get their daily bread if they don’t.. yeah, this is the patch that saved DbD.
RPD is ridiculously survivor sided. What are you talking about?

Idk dude.
Survivors bodies never felt so hollow and empty till I started going through them with wesker 🤣
I guess it's a skill issue when I hit them and he lets them go
I guess it's a skill issue when my dash get stuck on air next to a straight wall or bumps into a survivor like they are a wall..
I guess it's a skill issue when I throw a survivor into a wall and they are falling back in place in the air next to it and take no damage
At the same time people complain about DS not working against his power, intended or unintended still another thing to look at
Bet that will be fixed before his power is lol if it's not intended.
Lets not mention how many bugs can get you stuck in place as him ruining your game
No one is asking for a PTB 40CM hit box that sucks you from around corners everyone can agree that was ridiculous.
They should try something like 30 cm and see how that goes, half the nerf to it. As it stands now you slide off of survivors more than you do the environment
There is many documented cases and video evidence of his power flatout not working as intended 100% of the time.
Killers are not making this stuff up with no evidence to back it up.....
30 is probably perfect. He isn't in a good state right now and his very narrow Collison doesn't help things imo.

Well you were able to get decent points at least so the game was not too bad and you didn't use killer best stragedies taking one out and proxy camping. You have to use them agains't good teams. How many hooks you got? Today I played agains't good swf 5K+ hours each in same map and got only 3 hooks tried not to tunnel first but then the unhooked guy abused bt so I went after him. I got him on second hook. But could not finish the job when they bodyblocked later. I played Oni who is weakest killer in the game literally agains't these type of squads. I got my power once and got last down and hook with it. The match lasted 5 minutes maybe. Should expect biggest gen rush when they used 4 cakes so you should play as dirty as you can agains't these squads. I barely got more than 10K bp and will not play Oni again until he is buffed. I would got my power lot earlier if he was not nerfed in latest patch. These types squads should face nurses with startruck and blights with alchemist rings not me when I play Oni casually.
My dude, oni is A tier. He's brutal.
-
I don't know... I feel like we almost need a rework three...
-
It should be purple at best. Give it some unique voice lines or better yet chase music and you have legendary.

I think swf is currently the majority. I'm getting in a lot of games where the other 3 survivors appear to be communicating while I die on first hook. They save each other but not me.
Oh yeah, the vast majority of SWFS are 2-3 man's right now though. So even in solo q, you will often get paird with a duo SWF who don't care about you sadly.

Artist does camp though, she uses her crows to camp from a distance, thats the difference.
As far as wesker camping goes... its the same as any killer with a big speedy ranged attack. It promotes hanging around a hook so you can get the survivor that comes to unhook w/ your power. You see it with huntresses that get just outside of kindred range and wait w/ their axes.
A killer using their power from across the map is camping.
I've seen bait on these forums before but this is just insulting.

Yeah, there is absolutely no way you balance the game around what is by far the smallest subset of the player base, especially when the primary feature of that group is something that's not actually part of the game (comms).
If you did balance around SWF, you'd need to buff killer to a degree that would make the 6.1.0 patch look tame.
No, you buff solo and leave SWF as the outlier.
Except since solo q is miserable right now, SWF is skyrocketing. Just go to the discord. As of writing this there are 34 SWF just in public discord, and their are probably 10-20 times that in private discords.
I think ignoring they are becoming more and more common is a mistake and that they aren't the outlier you belive.

Huh? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't change anything about survivor collision detection. And if they do, I guarantee you they'll change it to a maximum of 25cm. And that will probably be pretty damn unsatisfying again, but not as frustrating as it is now. So people will just accept it and move on.
30 is probably perfect. His power is no where near as strong as nurses or blights but 1000 percent more punishing to miss.
-
@Rudjohns said:

Again, the game needs to be balanced around SWF...
Then killer needs several buffs to make up for the massive advantage SWF gives.

Hear me out on this I know this will never happen but its an idea none the less. REWARD players who have to play with quitters with a LARGE BP XP boost as well as insuring them a safety pip this way the person who dc can go on with there day and the others don't feel cheated
This was a bad idea wasn't it?
There is just no way survivor would do this in a way where one person dcs with exit gates open to get his swf an extra pip. Nope. None. /s

How bad can you be to miss so many bounds?
The bounds literally phase through survivors and randomly release them. On the off chance they actually grab them, approximately half the objects in the game just make them float for a second before not being injured and running off
-
This is what I was talking about in another thread. You either play dirty and everyone complains or you play fair and get curb stomped by any survivors with more then a brain cell between them.
It's a no win and forces the killers to play in unfun ways for the survivors.
-

Not really. It helps on steam as well(idk about epic store) But you can view profiles and see if they're public or private. Dodge the private ones. If they're public. You can see the amount of games, friends, etc they have. It's not sure fire that they WON'T be cheating. But someone with a legit account like that. Probably isn't cheating.
Epic is the source of a huge number of cheaters. Turning that off will protect you from a large number of them.

"Pat on a back" animation. So Bubba would shed a tear before slice them both with their now-useless perk.
Reassurance is not useless. This is the same doom and gloom that was around after nearly every ptb where survivors have a good perk instead of a game breaking one.

No literally it's awful every round I'm exact same they're all tunnelling the first person out at 5/4 gens as well, we just have to hang in there for a month if u can cope for that long. It was hard enough after the killer buff update but to have the same tunnelling killer EVERY round when solo queue survs are still learning counter play is honestly painful.
This just isn't happening anywhere except in survivor hypotheticals.
All 3 of my last three survivor games were:
Freddy (fair match but weak killer)
Nurse (rip)
Plague (no tunneling or camping but still slaughtered us because excellent in chase)

99% of the killers would stay, and play around that, that is it. I can see the sweatiest tryhardest players struggling with this (Super Sweaty bully SWF Squad that represents 0,0000000000000000001% of the player base) versus the 8k hours Nurse who can't sleep at night if they don't get a 4k games 400 matches in a row. Those I agree, that would benefit the SWF more. But this is about choosing: Do you balance around the 0,1% of the players punishing the absurdly overwhelming majority, or the other way around? I say let's balance the game around the vast majority of the player base, that 8k Nurse will survive occasionally losing 1 game every 500 matches. They'll be fine.
It would not cause the apocalypse you're talking about here, because most players are caual.
Any competent swf can beat most killers in the game if they are playing to win. And they are not some obscure percentage, as solo q gets more and more miserable the number of swfs is only rising.

Not true. Devs intended for SWF way before the game ever released but it wasn't ready in time.
Since then, survivors have continuously been nerfed to hell and killers buffed to the moon. Survivor is totally unplayable now. A SWF might have a tiny, tiny chance to win if the killer plays poorly but that's about it.
You are just wrong. Good SWFS will take even 3k hour killers to town. The game still highly favors coordinated survivor's- all 6.1 did was balance average players.

Have the unhooked survivor completely lose collision with the killer for the duration of their endurance. Then we'll talk
This, I don't understand why they get road runner speed and endurance AND collision.
-
@Junylar said:
There is only one reason of tunneling: it gives the killer ez win. If they stop it from leading to ez wins for the killer, the problem would be solved without any additional effort to "punish" for it.
It's not an "ez win" it's literally one of the only viable tools against good survivors. Against average to bad you can play fair but even killers with 5k hours can struggle to play according to the absurd survivors rulebook
-
I mean, the game is really fun to play. Sure wesker is bugged to hell but all the other killers (except trapper, pig, myers, and freddy) all feel like you have a fair shake unless you are against swf.
-
@Sluzzy said:

It seems like BHVR and killer mains have no idea why.
When the game is so unbalanced, everything survivors had is nerfed into the bin, 6 more trash-tier survivor meme perks. There's just nothing inspiring about survivor role.
The game still heavily favors survivors with comms at slightly above average levels of play.
The fact is comms were never considered during this games balancing until 6.1.
The fact is SWF is the equivalent of at least 4 broken information aura perks for free.
-
Oh yeah and reassurance is a very powerful survivor perk. If you think it's weak it's because you don't care about your teammates

Nonsense. It should be effective at what it's supposed to do. That's why we're asking to buff its range and duration to at least 60 seconds. As it is, it is completely pointless and unusable.
Yeah stealing 2 minutes of game time is totally fair and balanced
