Killers should get offerings that make it tremendoulsy less likely to get certain maps.
-
The escalation is stupid. Especially since the game can crash and cause you to 'disconnect'. Not to mention most players who used to disconnect just commit suicide on the first hook. All its done is let the Devs say "See! We fixed the DC Issue! Disconnections are down!" Yeah, and hook suicides are up. Fixed one problem by creating a new one. And of course they'll continue to ignore face camping and gen rushing. Because they CARE.

I am sorry this happened but others before abused the disconnect and thus the problem is not that you got dc'd but did you report the crash to behavior with your logs? or did you just not worry about it and relaunch like most people do? If you do not let them know when you crashed, give them your logs in order for them to look at they can't see what is going on. It is also possible the issue was your computer but without the logs I do not know.
Let's be honest. The people who used to disconnect instead just kill themselves on the first hook now. That's IF they aren't just eating the first five minute penalty within a 24 hour period or a 15 minute penalty if they happened to disconnect twice. "But hey! They killer gets more bloodpoints this way at least!" not a lot more, and they could've solved that by just giving everyone more bloodpoints for a disconnect and maybe combined it with a 15 minute penalty instead of one that escalates.
-
A 5 minute ban makes sense. So does a 15 minute ban. Even a 30 minute ban. But beyond that, the escalation is outrageous. It goes to an hour, then 6 hours. Then I think 24 hours? It's outrageous. It should NEVER escalate over 30 minutes. Especially since most people who want to DC just suicide instead, bypassing the system entirely. Leaving everyone else to suffer.
-
Nope. You can do anything you want, except have trouble with your internet or crashes. Only those are bannable.
-
Because they're really the entity and enjoy suffering.
-
Oh I wouldn't want to ruin the game for others involved. No! If I wanted to do that I'd just kill myself on the first hook, or facecamp or any of the other various acceptable behaviors in this game! But if I want to play and happen to lose connection a couple times over the course of a couple days and have one crash I get BANNED for SIX HOURS. That is a RIDICULOUS amount of time. But no, it's so simple! Why don't I just fix my internet connection! I mean gee, why didn't I think of that? Here I was perfectly happy with spotty internet that sometimes goes out. I should just call my provider and see if they'll do something about it -- OH RIGHT. They won't. And I don't have any other options for internet. But at the very least they don't give me six hour bans for something I paid for. If I'd known this game would BAN me for SIX HOURS when I bought it, I'd NEVER have bought it in the first place. What a waste of money. Call me crazy, but I like being able to use things I pay for.
-
Well, I tried playing again. A couple games went well then my internet went out AGAIN, and now I have a SIX HOUR ban. That is RIDICULOUS. I wish I could get my money back -- all the DLC I've bought, the Auric Cells, everything. A six HOUR ban is STUPID. What kind of idiotic company bans people from playing something they PAID FOR for a period of SIX HOURS? What's next? 24 hours? yeah, screw that. Screw this game. Screw this company.
-
Crossplay is currently not possible as far as I'm aware. I've seen players who are on PC who come into games on the Switch, but I have no idea how they do it.
-
Ran into a Huntress with Iri Head, Ebony Mori, and NoED. Was it fun? Absolutely not. Did they tunnel people straight off the hook and hit them 5 feet away? Absolutely Did I kill myself on the hook? Absolutely.
-
Keys and Moris both need to be looked at. Both are really annoying.
I've had way too many games as a survivor where the killer does one thing when they bring an ebony mori: They tunnel you straight off your first hook, and mori you. That's ALL they ever seem to do. I don't think I've ever ran into a killer who used Ebonies in any other way. Even though I've personally used them in a different way myself. They aren't fun to play against, and there's little reason to actually try when someone has an Ebony unless they are REALLY bad. How is it any fair if I save a teammate, then the killer comes back and goes straight for the person I unhooked -- and even with borrowed time, that only buys 15 seconds.
On the other side I've had a few too many games where THREE people escape through the hatch with the last gen left undone. Last night had a game where I hooked someone a third time, and then found the last three at the hatch and they escape with a key. (Ash with Ashy Slashy, and I sort of expected it, but forgot about it) I had a decent three-gen and they ALL escaped through the hatch. No way of stopping them. How's that remotely fair that they get to cut out and leave with just 4 gens done?
-
Yes, let's let survivors keep all their styptic agents where they get a free extra health state every game. Enjoy seeing Ebony Mori's every game.
-
I hate the Asylum most as killer. That central building has way too many pallets.
-
It's basically taunting. Before I even knew it was t-bagging, i knew crouching multiple times (How that's teabagging is beyond me, what are you teabagging? The air?) was taunting the killer. If you're trying to get me to chase you instead of a teammate who's on their death hook, its fine. But if I'm already chasing you, its basically taunting.

@Michael_Myers i think hes talking to you but doesnt know how to use the reply feature lol.
You mean the 'quote' feature.
-
Saying Mori's are counterable because you can loop the killer for 3 gens, and then another survivor loops them for the last two is ridiculous. You get ONE bad teammate, and they get Mori'd straight off the hook and good luck finishing then. "Don't get caught!" is equivalent of telling killers "Just pressure gens!"
-
No, Mori's should not be basekit "on death hook". There's a lot that can happen on the way to the hook. Cypress Mori being base would be fine. But using a mori on death hook? Way too powerful to be basekit.
-
See, when someone teabags me I take it to mean something entirely different. Sorry, I don't speak survivorneese, but I always assumed it meant "Please Tunnel me." Can't believe i had it wrong all this time! This poor Claudette who teabagged at every pallet wasn't asking me to tunnel her, she was telling me goodbye! Why didn't I see that?
-
Fishing expedition?
-
I hate NoED. Higher rank survivors I play with ALWAYS INSIST ON DOING TOTEMS which means my Devour never lasts until I've got 3 stacks. People started memorizing totem spawns so they can cleanse optimally.
-
Maybe blind them instead of slowing them down? The combo effect would be really nasty. But I feel we need a killer that blinds people.
-
Because nobody can unhook the obsession if there is no obsession? Makes sense to me. Though I've never used it, so I don't know. Can it reactivate or not if someone uses DS or if Nemesis creates a new obsession?
-
I leveled Claudette up first. Calm Spirit is pretty useful though, especially if you find yourself going up against the doctor a lot.
-
It's strong enough as it is. No need to make it OP.
-
-A Haunted Mansion, complete with jump scares. It'd be cool if they had a room of mirrors where the killer would appear in the mirror even if they weren't there.
-A High school. I know there's Badham Preschool, but I mean one where the school is the entire map.
-A prison. This would be great if they ever got a walking dead character
-
Really depends.
If everyone's all together? No, it's not toxic. If you go across the map and hunt every survivor down, leaving the others on the ground (then complain about perks like unbreakable...) then its a bit toxic.
I had to slug in a game today. Downed my first survivor after the first two gens popped. A survivor came and sabotaged the hook so I couldn't use it. (We were on the swamp, where hooks can be MILES apart) so I dropped the survivor, and slugged one of the others. Rather than pick them up and take them to a hook -- because the LAST two survivors were right there, I chased them off and decided to wait until the hook respawned. Of course once the hook respawned, I picked one survivor up, and sure enough the saboteur came back and sabotaged the hook again. Both survivors managed to get picked up this time, but I hit the saboteur. I chased them, and eventually downed them and to the basement they went. I chased the other survivors away from saving her, and wound up downing someone else nearby and took them to the basement... only to get hit by a flashlight. So I slug the person with a flashlight, go for the person who was trying to go for the save and everyone's down except the one person I was going to put in the basement with the saboteur. Once I was satisfied that the Meg was gone, I hooked the other two. Then I went back and chased the Meg away from the boat (which is where the basement was) but we wound up back there anyway just as I downed her and hooked her with her friends. Now imagine if I hadn't slugged anyone. That game would've went much more poorly for me I imagine. I'm not a fan of playing that way, I'd much rather hook people multiple times. More bloodpoints, and more fun for everyone. But it was the strategy the match called for.
Sometimes slugging is the only thing you can do. Some people get a bit greedy with it though (and if someone brings unbreakable, they tend to pay for it dearly, then usually complain about unbreakable)
-
I think there should be a replacement perk system, where you can go to a place on the map and swap one perk for another. Both killers and survivors could swap. And you'd be able to swap out dead perks too. So let's say you're a killer with Ruin but Ruin gets destroyed? You can go to a perk changing station and change to your other pre-selected perk. (Let's say Pop). It'd take maybe 5 seconds for killers to swap a perk, while it'd take 10 seconds for survivors. Would be kind of hard to work though, since you couldn't swap in say... Hex perks. And I don't think you should be able to swap out DS if you've already used it.
-
It's kind of dumb imo to lose points for not unhooking a survivor if its not safe to. I mean if the killer is too close, do you really want to go for an unsafe save? Or a hook trade?
-
I'd say both sides are pretty hypocritical because they only play one side. Or if they do play the other side, its not very often. They lack empathy for the other side. Which in turn exacerbates the problem. Nice killers run into toxic survivors who constantly ruin their matches and make them feel like they have no choice. Nice survivors run into toxic killers who make them feel they need to abuse everything they can if they want to win. So Nice Killers start to play toxic, and Nice survivors start to play toxic.
Playing both sides can be equally frustrating. It's hard to recognize that, because a lot of people play mostly one side. And a lot of people care only about one thing: Winning. I mean personally I'd rather have a really good match. Winning's nice. But I've had matches I won that I didn't enjoy, and I've had matches I've lost that I enjoyed immensely.
-
I don't think they need to make him faster, but I do think he shouldn't have a movement penalty when aiming. Also he should reload automatically after a successful hit. JMO.
-
Some players are just jerks, regardless of what side they play. I've seen Killers who are needlessly mean -- dropping you off at the hatch (taking you half-way across the map while doing it) only to close it. Survivors who teabag no matter how the match went as long as they escape (or now with deathslinger, sometimes, don't).
Personally I play pretty nicely. As survivor a killer dropped me off in front of their hex totem that was OBVIOUSLY Haunted Grounds. I cleansed it anyway cause I figured they were probably doing a challenge and they had already downed me so why not? As a killer I've let people with No Mither go, knowing they too might be doing a challenge.
-
Gearhead is useless. I think it should highlight any gens that are being worked on (for the duration they're worked on) after getting your two hits for x# of seconds. I think THAT would make it actually worthwile to use over Surveillance or Discordance.
-
That's how the hatch works. It opens with a key, and then automatically opens when there's only one survivor left.
I had two people bring keys into a match. I didn't recognize it. When there were three players left (but one gen left to do) one player straight off the hook went and opened the hatch. I closed it. The next survivor came by and opened it and the last two escaped through the hatch. Very frustrating. Keys should be reworked a bit.
-
Mori's: Require everyone to be hooked once before using a Mori. Plain and simple. Exception being the Cypress, which just requires the person to be last.
Keys:
-If 3 or 4 survivors are remaining, the hatch can only open by key if all 5 gens are complete
-If 2 survivors are left, the hatch can only open by key if at least 4 gens are complete
-If 1 survivor is left, the hatch will open by key no matter what
Maybe let the killer see the aura of the hatch once the conditions are fulfilled for it to be opened.
-
-When you look at the floor when walking to the kitchen to make sure there are no bear traps
-When you hear Huntress' lullaby but you're not playing the game
-When someone coughs, you start running away and think "Well, the killer is obviously Clown."
-When someone says "I am Legion." You say "Frank, Julie, Susie or Joey?"
-You're watching Stranger Things and wonder where Claudette is.
-You're watching Stranger things and swear you see Claudette
-You're watching Halloween and wonder which Tier Michael is in at any given moment.
-You've played too much survivor if you're playing killer and see a hex totem and think "Ooh, I can cleanse this. Hope it's not Haunted grounds. Wait a minute..."
-You've played too much killer if you're playing survivor and see another survivor and think "Let's get a hit. Wait a minute..."
-
Clown and Legion would like a word.
-
Thanks for the answers! Got the challenge done without anyone disconnecting. Was going to use a Mori, but decided against it when the survivors looked nice (not bringing any toolboxes, keys, etc..) Might have to use one to get the Spirit challenge later, though.
-
Killers always find me. I'm not good at loops, either. I don't just do gens though. I also rescue and heal my teammates.

What about freddy.
I usually hear Demo over his loud screech after hitting someone before actually teleporting.
I play on Switch, so I've never seen a Freddy.
-
Luca Blight. The Face of Evil itself. DIE PIG DIE! (I'll be happy if one person knows who that is...)

Trapper - If you see one of his traps
Wraith - Hearing BING BONG
Billy - His chainsaw sounds
Nurse - The Scream
Hag - Her traps
Doctor - You hear his ability or someone screams
Huntress - That infernal humming (though it could just be in your head) Also you hear a cling that signifies she's about to throw a hatchet.
Clown - cough cough
Spirit - The sound of her moving
Myers - When he reaches tier 2 you'll hear his music
Leatherface - His chainsaw.
Pig - Her boxes
Legion - Someone goes into Deep Wound State
Plague - Cleansing Fountains
Ghostface - Someone gets marked
Demogorgon - The portals
Oni - ROAR
Deathslinger - BANG
-
Survivor: Inner Strength and Head On. Go into a locker to heal. If the killer comes, stun them.
Killer: Surveillance and Ruin. As long as Ruin is up, you can see when they get off generators, letting you know where to go.
-
The experience really varies. Some solo teammates are great. Even SWFs. I've had a random Nea come back for me with NoED active. I've also had a pair of SWFs flashlight save me repeatedly. Other Solo teammates are awful. They don't know how to save, or they're overly altruistic and go for a save when the killer is camping. They also don't seem to get that you should HEAL someone before finishing a generator, because when the gen finishes, it alerts the killer. Some run terrible perks like Deja Vu. And when they see you running (and you have spine chill) they're like "Huh? Why are they running? Oh well. OH WAIT TIER 1 MYERS IS BEHIND ME?"
-
Pig. I always feel I've got a chance with her. I play a lot of different killers, but with them its very hit or miss. With her, I have more confidence. Got her for Surveillance, stuck with her cause it just feels right.
-
I'm on Switch, but mine wasn't a disconnect. I thought for a moment they might've improved the system to detect crashes.
-
Ebony Mori's should require you to hook each survivor once before being able to use them.
Keys should require all 5 gens to be done unless there are 2 or fewer survivors remaining. If there are generators unrepaired, it takes 7 seconds to open the hatch with a key. Killers see the aura of the hatch as soon as it can be opened.
-
I didn't get a penalty after the game crashed on me. (I was in the middle of hooking someone and the game just went out)
