  • Mori's definitely need a nerf. So do keys. Every time I see a hidden killer offering, I'm tempted to just leave the game immediately because I know what's coming next: As soon as someone goes down, they get tunneled, and Mori'd seconds after being unhooked (maybe a little longer if someone has borrowed time). That's all I've ever seen killers who use Ebony's do. Tunnel someone straight off the hook and Mori them. Not my definition of fun.

  • 30 seconds is WAY too short. Especially if you're totem hunting. You know, like we're always told we should do if we want to make sure not to have NoED?

  • It has too many conditions. You have to hit two survivors. Then for thirty seconds a skill check has to hit for the survivors, and it has to be a good skill check. In that time, there's a decent chance no skill checks show up at all. No reason to pick this perk over say Surveillance or Discordance.

  • Eh, choosing between:

    A. A bloody Outfit and bonus bloodpoints

    or

    B. The Perks

I choose B every time. As someone who plays both killer and survivor, I have a lot of bloodpoints to need to spend. I still haven't unlocked every perk, though I think I've unlocked most of the ones worth unlocking save for the new characters. Unlocking the ones I already have a second time (who knows how generous the entity will be when I want specific perks I like to run) seems like it'd cost way more than just sticking at level 50 and waiting until they show up.

  • Time to make Franklin's base. At least the 'item drop' part. That way killers stand a chance against sabotaging survivors. Survivors have to pick their item up before they continue to sabotage that way.

  • For the People shouldn't count against the killer's emblem imo. Shouldn't count as a heal for Killer's emblem side, but could count as one for the player's side. I think that'd be fair.

  • You know what'd make more people prestige? If they kept their perks when prestiging. I don't prestige because I want all the perks, which take a long time to get.

  • New Sabo should take more time and be way harder to do.

  • Nah, losing their add-ons makes sense. I mean should the killer get to keep theirs if they 4K? Or even get merciless? Imagine infinite Iri Head Huntress.

  • Idea: Let the killer tag someone, now THEY'RE the killer. So that Toxic Nea who's been looping you silly all game is now armed with a knife and no power against survivors who are the same speed as them. They also have a red stain now and a terror radius. Simple.

    (No, I'm not being serious)

  • I prefer it to the challenges like "REPAIR FOUR GENERATORS WITH THE PERK DARK SENSE IN ONE TRIAL" and "Open the hatch with a key Two times" or "Sacrifice all 4 survivors in the basement" Or "Use the Perk Monstrous Shrine."

  • I like the idea, but there are some flaws. Might be a bit powerful, since you can save up free heals. At the same time, it denies heals to teammates who ALSO have inner strength. So I don't know. As the survivor who gets stuck cleansing ALL 5 totems to prevent noed, I'm just not sure.

  • Survivors:

Camping, Tunneling, Ebony Mori's, Matchmaking, Emblem System, Iri Hatchet.

    Killers:

Keys, Gen Speed, Map Size, Overall ability of a number of killers including Clown and Legion and RNG Heavy killers like Trapper and pig, Matchmaking, the emblem system.

  • I hate that challenge. It's another one I'll never complete because I have no friends who play Dead by Daylight on the console I play it on. Basically you have to not get into any chases AND make sure your teammates don't finish any gens without you.

  • They aren't. But they need to be. And if you think not, then you don't get to complain about DS or any other perk survivors have.

  • I just wonder how it'll work if you have say:

Meg on Switch at level 45 with Tier 2 Adrenaline and Tier 3 Quick and Quiet, and Meg on PS4 at level 30 with Tier 3 adrenaline and Tier 1 Quick and Quiet. Is she now Level 45 on both accounts? Or can it only be done with new accounts? And what about perks?

  • The idea has merit, I think. But a few flaws too. It'd certainly make survivors have a difference between them. Though at the same time it'd be really screwing over killers with all bad perks. Wraith, for example. Maybe if survivors had to pick a skill from their skillset for the 5th perk slot but killers could choose ANY perk they want for the 5th slot. But there's other issues to consider as well, such as how some survivors would have the ability to be pretty OP with that 5th slot. Don't think it should be added, but its worth discussing.

  • Love the idea. Perks might need some work. That hex is a bit too powerful, blocking lockers for a survivor AND giving an aura reading? Especially since Hex: Retribution can do that. Also feel like Jill should have a perk called "Master of Unlocking". Not sure what it'd do though.

  • Realize that the guy with a key is probably just doing the challenge. If it REALLY bothers you that much, dodge the lobby. If I see 3 toolboxes, I'll sometimes bring an ebony mori, franklin's and noed (I won't tunnel off the hook though, cause I'm not an #########). But if I think they're trying to do a challenge, I let them get it and hope they're really just doing a challenge and it saves the next killer the pain.

  • People really could use a bit more empathy for the side they play less. Map size is definitely an issue for killers. Keys are a crappy mechanic (though it's not our fault the devs decided to lock two challenges behind a challenge requiring you to use those damned things). God-loops aren't fun for killers either. On the other side, being camped isn't any fun either. Nor is being tunneled. And Mori's aren't any fun either when 90% of killers tunnel you straight off your first hook and take you out of the game.

If more people played both sides, I think things would be a little better. But it'd also help if the devs stopped having challenges that were frustrating for BOTH sides. I mean use two keys? Sacrifice four survivors in the basement? What's next "Facecamp as the Cannibal until 2 survivors die on their first hook!"? "Hook the same survivor twice in a row within 60 seconds." "Get into a locker, and use DS on the killer 10 times." "While the killer is inside the exit gate, crouch ten times in a row before leaving the trial"

  • I don't think ambush attack needs to lose a progression bar or gain a cooldown. I do agree that her crouch speed needs adjusted. Not quite to the killer's natural movement speed, but at the very least faster than Nurse's movement speed. Her RBT's are mostly fine, but she needs to start with 5 of them, and 5 boxes. Each survivor should have to search boxes for a 'key'. I like that idea. Survivors need two keys to open the RBT. This would mean that at minimum survivors would have to search 2 boxes to remove the RBT. This gives the RBT's more slowdown potential. As it is now, a lot of times I'll see survivors get their traps off at first. They could increase the timer a little to compensate for having to search more boxes.

  • BBQ and Chili makes Leatherface VERY worth it.

Plague has good perks like Corrupt Intervention and Infectious Fright. Jane has Head On.

Pig is a lot of fun to play, and has Surveillance and make your choice. Hang Man's Trick is also getting a buff.

Clown is free on console thankfully, but I'd say PGTW and Bamboozle are very good perks.

  • I'd say give it Kindred's effect, while making Kindred do something else. Either that, or maybe let them see the aura of the killer while they're carrying a survivor.

  • Do not want, mostly because I don't want people to see how much of an idiot I am >_>

  • Nobody should have to. I've had it happen before though. Even posted a short video of it happening. A Jane got stuck in a locker. I was killer, and I worked with another survivor to get her out. (I still killed the survivor, cause I had a challenge) but she wouldn't come out. The EGC had run out, and eventually she had to disconnect (I wouldn't because I wanted my EGC death to count) She had been stuck there most of the game. Kinda surprised she didn't disconnect before that. But I guess the penalty made her not want to. It's probably some sort of bug. Not sure why EGC wouldn't get them though, cause I'm pretty sure you can't avoid it by hiding in a locker.

  • You realize that re-working perks, reworking maps and everything else takes time, right? It's not like they can go in tomorrow and be like "Okay, this map has been reworked, these add-ons have been changed, etc..." Reworking a perk takes time. They have to look at the perk, see how its used, then decide how it can be changed without making the game broken in some way. Then they have to actually code the perk.

  • I've seen a number of players die to RBT's. Some who head out the exit gates, others who don't get them off in time. They're a good slow-down tool, but as I said they could be vastly improved. Pig needs a few buffs. She's not quite down as far as Legion and Clown, but she's not far.

Also it's a totally legit tactic to go after survivors with RBT's. Chase them off, to make them find a DIFFERENT box, so they waste more time for example. Pressures them, and makes them keep searching, extending their time off gens.

  • If I had to choose between:

    A. A huntress with NoED an Iri Head Hatchet and an Ebony Mori

    or

    B. A huntress who camps and tunnels

I'd take A over B if A didn't camp and/or tunnel. (Sadly I've faced a combo of the above. Was not Fun)

  • I feel like it punishes survivors for not going for unsafe saves, and then punishes them for unsafe saves too. Like if a killer is camping, what exactly are we supposed to do? Ideally we just do gens. I think they should give points for benevolent if we don't have any unsafe saves all game. Even if we don't have a single save.

As for evader... they want to encourage engagement with the killer. Not always easy though, cause some killers bring Ebony Mori's, and your only hope of getting out is to get out as fast as possible. I think having no lost chases should also earn you some points. Even if you have no chases. Not necessarily iridescent, but at least silver.

And while we're at it, killer should get emblem points for devout for DC's. Makes no sense they don't.

  • Survivors would definitely tailor their perks if they knew what killer they were playing. Way too big of an advantage.

I'd probably avoid anyone playing Wraith, cause most Wraiths like to go invisible and camp.

  • She needs to see the aura of her boxes so she can patrol them if necessary. I mean Trapper sees the aura of his traps, and even gets notification when they get trapped. So I don't see why she shouldn't see the aura of her boxes.

And no, increased speed while crouched wouldn't be broken at all. She's far too slow while crouched right now. She's slower than nurse while crouched! That's ridiculous.

  • Yeah, the grind's a little too much. I want to unlock all the perks, and then maybe go for getting all perks on a single survivor and maybe a couple killers so I can play around with builds a bit.

Maybe they could start having weekly challenges in addition to the daily's. Worth maybe 250k bloodpoints. Like "Escape 10 Trials" or "Sacrifice 20 survivors"

  • Mori's are definitely a problem. Just about every killer I've run into using them does one thing: Tunnels straight off the hook, and then mori's each and every player. Just had a game with a Billy that did that. First guy caught, saved, downed again, and Mori'd. Second guy caught, saved, downed again, and Mori'd. Third guy caught, I saved him with borrowed time, he was tunneled, downed again, and Mori'd. Hatch closed, I opened the exit gate, and got out of there. Only reason I got out of there is he went to the wrong exit gate first. (He had NoED too, so he could've downed me chainsaw or not).

Can Mori's be fun? Sure. I'm not saying we should get rid of them. But they need to be fixed so that people don't just tunnel straight off the hook, and take people out of the game that way. That's not remotely fair or fun.

  • She needs to see the aura of her boxes. So no. She could use a speed buff while crouched, though. And make it less likely for survivors to get the RBT off if its supposed to be a slowdown mechanic. I like the idea of key pieces. Maybe have 5 boxes (and 5 traps by default), and a survivor needs 2 keys to get the trap off. Increase the timer to make it fair, but at least then survivors won't be getting traps off their head 15 seconds after they come off the hook.

  • I always leave the hook. I mean if there's a survivor nearby, I'm not going to leave. But if there isn't, I'm heading to whichever Survivor I caught closest with BBQ.

  • Sure, but then don't go complaining about getting gen rushed every game, as survivors bring in the best toolboxes, the best sabo builds, and DS.

  • How about instead we bring Freddy to Switch? Please? I'll buy it if you do! I've bought pretty much all the Chapters. I'm guessing there's licensing issues, but I'd love to hear them say "We're working on it!"

  • Surge having a cooldown is fine. It should effect a larger area, though. 32 Meters just isn't big enough. Maybe 40 meters?

  • As a Killer: The Asylum, Yamaoka Estate, and the Swamp

    As a survivor: Hawkins.

  • Basekit for Survivors:

Kindred, Borrowed Time, Unbreakable (Minus the recovery speed), We're Gonna Live Forever.

    Basekit for Killers:

BBQ+Chili, Corrupt Intervention, NoED, Surveillance, Franklin's Demise.

Now both sides can hate me.

  • As a survivor: Infectious Fright. If Thrilling Tremors has a cooldown, Infectious should too.

As a killer: Prove Thyself. Oh yes, make gens faster. That's EXACTLY What we need. I'm guessing with the new Sabotage changes though it'll be the new perk that annoys me most.

  • I have terrible internet, but my ping is usually green.

  • Instead of nerfing things, how about we buff things? Make other survivor perks more viable. Make killer perks more viable. Make killer powers more viable.

Mori's and Keys probably need to be nerfed a bit. It's not fun getting tunneled off the hook and mori'd. Nor is it fun chasing two players and they jump in the hatch and you aren't able to do anything to stop it. Head On could use a SLIGHT nerf. Like... maybe it doesn't count unless you're standing in front of the locker, rather than the SIDE OF IT. That's all I'm askin'. Oh and Toolboxes need to be nerfed into oblivion. The best toolbox with the best addons should only be able to complete 25% of a generator in 10 seconds.

  • -Boop the Snoot.

-Drop your item if you have one. I'm a sucker for people who gift me their items. Even if I can't pick them up.

-If you had a rough game, like if I had to tunnel you early in order to catch up.

-As long as I have my BBQ stacks and had an otherwise good game

-Your team played bad, but you played well.

-You went for the rescue instead of camping the hatch. (If you camp the hatch while someone is on the hook, and they aren't on death hook, I'll do my best to make sure you DO NOT GET IT)

-You seem to have had a rough game.

-You're running No Mither and weren't toxic to me.

  • As a survivor, Face Camping. Oh boy, I get to sit up here and mash a button until I'm finally out of this hell. Oh, and I don't get many points either because my game was cut short. And if I don't sit up here and button mash, my team doesn't have time to do gens.

As a killer, the beginning of the game. Finding your first survivor is sometimes a matter of luck. Not to mention if the survivor spawns near your Hex totem (if you have one) they can bust it really quick, thus killing any momentum you were hoping for.

  • @orangegoblin said:

I think NOED should in all honesty just be a baseline killer ability. HEAR ME OUT, it would MAKE survivors do totems, make them gtfo at the end game, it would have the same, if not a better effect than old ruin, if you play against a good survivor team, NOED WILL be gone, it will teach new survivors to watch out for bones, Or they'll save the last totem just to blue ball you before you get your first down with it (totally didn't happen to me when doing archive challenges... not at all /s). Games don't last long anymore, 4 to 6 minutes if just 2 people pump gens out, 15 max if they dick around or 3 gens themselves, those are the games the killer gets more than 1k while Playing Fair, if the survs dick around and do bones, search chests, actually interact with the game, and most Importantly, the Killer, it becomes a more full experience for everyone. We've all had games as Survivor and Killer where we either never see the killer, or even some of the survivors, because they Just Did Gens and Nothing else, which just doesn't sound like fun.

Its not until end game, when you either are forced to camp, or brought NOED that you see the whole crew and they ALWAYS have BT or DS. What many call toxic tunneling/slugging is the only viable way to slow the game down without old ruin or NOED, its not fun for the people that get tunneled first, but its the only way to slow the game down enough to get kills above green ranks. Killers are just learning they are there to kill, not worry about the others feelings. And when survivors bring a mix of BT, DS, DH, spring burst, the new insta-heal, and the new sabo, after March 10th, shits going to get a lot worse.

Other than Gens, the survivors only other obj is to gtfo and do bones, and some Always ignore the bones, unless they implement a last man standing BP bonus for that Lone Survivor movie cliche to encourage some hilarious sandbagging for the entity, then frustration on the killers behalf is just going to continue to worsen. When survivors get chased, when they do their 360s, flashlight saves, or sandbag with friends, they are having a great big laugh, the Killer on the otherhand, is having the most frustrating time of their lives trying to kill just 1 person, because no matter what they do, gens will pop, and giving up on a chase is not an option for some people, they want to see to it they can't be bested, and Any Killer should not have to be screwed over chasing just 1 experienced survivor, simply because there is 3 more and they can each have the potential to loop as good as the last. The only time gens don't get done is below rank 15, but because deranking and matchmaking is whack we just never know anymore. The new MMR system will fix a lot of things, but worsen others, the one bad thing it will make easier is people that purposfully de rank will have a breeze.

For most killers now, getting kills against a good team while playing "fair" is literally impossible.

I like this idea as long as the number of totems are added to the HUD. Then increase time to cleanse a totem from 14 seconds to 20 seconds. I know a lot of killer mains who don't like the idea, and a lot of survivor mains who LOATHE it. But it'd create the second objective we need so badly. Survivors wouldn't HAVE to do them if they didn't want to. But then they risk NoED.

Also, I've totally been working on a totem (the only one done in the entire game) and by the time I finished the last gen pops and I get 1500 points for cleansing NoED instead of a Dull Totem. The killer left and took the DC penalty not long after.

  • Meg's teachables are perfect. Wouldn't change a thing.

    Pig's perks:

Hangman's Trick: See the Aura of any survivor within 8M of any hook within carrying range. Hooks repair 50/75/100% faster.

Surveillance: Add the ability to see generators that have progress that nobody is working on (but not regressing) in purple

Make Your Choice: See the aura of the person who unhooked for 2/3/5 seconds. Add the exposed effect to rescuer for the time it currently does.

  • Cool. When I get Mori'd, I bring a Key into my next match.

  • Overcharge is a good way to prevent gen tapping.

  • They need to increase the time. Which they'll probably do. Maybe they'll BUFF Monstrous Shrine and make hooks Unsabotagable.
