When I'm the only killer online I'll do my best to chase and play fair but sometimes the survivors bring perks and items that makes it impossible to hook them. At that point I don't try to chase. I let the survivors decide to either do gens or give me free kills. Sometimes I get a 4k. Sometimes I don't. And sometimes I get my time wasted by a bunch of swf jerks who instead of completing gens decides to lead me on thinking I'll get a 4k but decides to rush gens and leave anyway. I've had far too many matches where the survivors will stand still and let me hit them just to run around and do it again, and again, and again just to then complete the gen furthest from where I am so they can all wait by the powered 3 light gates so they can crouch and flashlight spam me after. If you have no intent of letting me hook you then don't waste my time making the match go on for longer than it has to. there is no reason at all for you to be toxic like this. i don't care that i didn't get a kill. I care that you wasted my time long enough that I could be well into the next match instead of being ran around by a toxic troll. I'll do absolutely nothing to deserve this from the survivors the entire match and then be treated like i was the most toxic killer ever. Just stop doing this. I wonder often how many killer mains just close the game out after having something like this happen to them. The game just isn't worth playing when you have to deal with crap like this.

    • based on a true story. inspired by Katemain86's post.

Sorry your last match was so bad you had to take it out on someone who didn't deserve it in the next one.

  • @Doomzilla said:

Are we crying about endgame bullying now, because Tsulan’s post is correct, it happens on both sides. Also that “hit at the gate” crap doesn’t fly. You know how many games I will have where if the survivors are mad I killed 1-2 of their buddies, they will just go around the map swapping into random lockers and not progressing the game?

Don't sit there and make a post addressing all killer mains if you aren’t willing to be addressed as “all survivor mains”.

If you can't discern the point of the post and the fact that this post is directly addressing the killer players who actually do this then that isn't my problem. If you're a killer main who doesn't do this then this has nothing to do with you. I don't care if you see this as some kind of us vs them argument. I don't care what happens in other situations that makes people think its Ok that things like this happen because something they think equally bad happened on the other side. Both sides just need to play the game normally. Close the hatch if you find it and stop wasting people's time.

  • Yea I don't like the idea of holiday themed cosmetics being just an annual thing. I'm all for releasing new skins at the time of certain holidays but once they're in the shop I think they should stay there. If not that, I've suggested before a shop rotation where skins would rotate in and out of the shop more often than just the certain times of year they show up.

See, and this is the problem why nothing will change for both sides. Since neither one will see the wrong in their doing.

I did nothing wrong and nothing to deserve this. I had my time wasted by toxic trolls who thought it was funny to drag me around a map when they could've ended the match sooner and not given me a reason to come here and complain about it. You're absolutely right. Killer players that do this don't see the wrong in their doing. Thats why this is a problem. I will not admit fault when there is no fault on my end to admit. I don't care what position you have on this and neither do I care to argue with you about it. This post is about a specific issue that continues to happen in this game.

Its not irrelevant. Its fueling the us vs them menthality many people have here on the forum.

On the topic, its the same thing as waiting until the last second to leave. I lost track of how often survivors spend the full countdown waiting at the gate. Both situations are a pure waste of time for both sides and shouldn´t happen.

I don't care about the "us vs them" arguments. I care that my time was wasted by someone who decided to be a toxic troll for absolutely no reason at all. If things like this didn't happen in the game you'd have less people coming here complaining about it. And no this is nothing like survivors waiting until the last second to escape. You can easily go to the exit gate and hit them out. What I described in my OP was killer players being toxic for the sake of being toxic and the survivor having no power over the situation.

  • @C3Tooth said:

I had a Freddy downed me as the last survivor, carried me to hatch, dropped me like 4m away. I crawled to hatch. Freddy closed the hatch.

Then I just tab out to draw (I turn off mute focus so I still hear in-game sounds), and I heard he kept picking and drop me until I escape the grab, but I just kept drawing, and he kept hitting on the Gate.

He kept hitting on the Gate until the EGC downed to 25%, I tab in to open Gate, then downed me when the switch had 3 lights, then process me to hook.

Post chat: Sorry, its for content.

I mean, I would question the watchers who watch such the content more than the killers to do this. So much waste of time.

A perfect example of why this kind of behavior from killers needs to stop. They're wasting other people's time and just being blatantly toxic to them for the sake of content. Why can't people just play the game? Sigh...

Then why does the title say "killer mains, please stop this"?

Again, you're posting for the sake of posting and ignoring the point made. Why do you care and why does it matter? It is completely irrelevant to the point I made. Its a problem with killer players including killer mains. Now are you going to make another irrelevant post asking the same thing knowing full well the point of the post or do you get it now?

  • @Tsulan said:

What makes you think that only killer mains do this?

Completely irrelevant to the post and point I made... It literally applies to anyone doing it.

"The only thing I can think of that could end tunneling is to remove the hook timer altogether."

This would be a terrible idea. I don't want to spend the majority of a match on a hook because the rest of the team want to priotize gens. I'd rather be tunneled out.

But they're not going to do that. You're taking a rare situation where no one will even try to unhook you and applying it to your argument as if it would be the norm. Every match I was tunneled out of I would gladly choose staying on the hook over having that happen. The killer would have to choose actively searching the map for other survivors or stay near the hook. As long as they are a considerable distance away, the unhooked survivor has a chance to get away for the moment. They would have no reason to camp or tunnel if there was no hook timer and if they did they would simply watch as gens get done quickly and probably someone on the team going for a save after the door is open. If you have a better idea I'd like to hear it.

Please consider badges with pronouns. Before I load into a match I would like to be able to have the option of choosing between badges with all pronouns (23) because mine change daily based on my mood. So pls make sure we can wear a badge with our preferred pronouns so that we don't suffer unnecessary verbal violence and bigotry in game. The last thing you want to hear is someone mis-gendering you as you bleed out for 4 minutes by a slugging nurse, thanks.

I'm pretty sure anyone that's going to engage in "verbal violence and bigotry" in a video game don't care about your pronouns. In fact you're probably just throwing fuel on the fire at that point for them to be even more toxic to you.

I see a problem here, which is basekit BT. If that were to happen, BT should not allow for protection hits. I do use BT as a way to protect my teammates, but I do think it's an unfair advantage if killers were to be punished for tunneling. There are obviously times when a killer will accidentally hit the unhooked survivor even if they're not trying to take a protection hit, but there are several times when the unhooked survivor will spend time to bodyblock the killer, which should be also punished if it were to be fair.

The killer can end those situations much faster than the other 2 survivors can complete all 5 gens. If they both get hooked then the other 2 survivors have to go into altruism mode. If its a tunneling killer, there is going to be no progression on the survivor side for a long time and it will probably end up in another hatch battle.

The only thing I can think of that could end tunneling is to remove the hook timer altogether. This would force the killer to actively look for other survivors rather than staying in range of hooks to quickly tunnel someone down. This would require 3 hooks to eliminate a survivor as normal and would encourage a natural flow of the match rather than resorting to toxic methods of elimination like tunneling.

  • Tunneling needs to be a thing of the past in this game. It needs to end now. There is nothing worse in this game than watching a killer run right past other survivors, even ones that are trying to take aggro, and see the killer skip past them to go after someone who is right off the hook. There is absolutely nothing good about this. I've always felt that if there was one thing in this game that could eventually make this game die, its tunneling. The perks aren't enough. BT basekit isn't enough. This needs to stop. Killers should be punished so harshly for attacking and downing survivors who are right off the hook within a certain time frame that it literally makes it not worth doing it, even for the toxic trolls that do it just to be a terrible person.

  • Pinhead is insanely overpowered in my opinion. I never like going against this killer. The team has to spend more time with chain and box management than progression objectives. If the killer is using rare addons then its basically just a no hope situation. I try when I go against Pinhead, but it rarely ends with an escape from anyone on the team.

  • If sloppy butcher was basekit I'd probably never play this game again. Its annoying enough to deal with against casual players. Against someone who is really trying to win its a nightmare.

Lets be honest, thats not really a bad thing considering how UNBEARABLE og Ashley was.

I really didn't mind her character from the original game. She's part of the reason why the game is so iconic. This new Ashley seems very different so it'll be a different experience for some probably. I still expect the game to be good.

I think OG Ashley had a unique charm that remake Ashley just doesn't have. She feels like an entirely new character and doesn't remind me of Ashley at all.

    Again - loaded words.

escaping will always be a byproduct of the actions of the match, but that doesn’t mean the other players were trying to ensure i escaped any more than i was trying to help them. There’s a reason why at one point locker camper bill and solo laurie existed. In a lot of ways they still do.

an unsafe hook used to cause players to be hook farmed as a way to prevent getting killed in a chase or the make the hatch spawn back when keys were a thing.

SWF isnt even immune to the “oops” survivor interactions.

escaping through the hatch is a byproduct of outliving the other survivors.

escaping through the gate is a byproduct of opening them. Which might require generators, but sometimes it just requires the hatch to be closed.

so while yes, survivor actions lead to escapes - the thought that good intentions are the cause of escapes (especially mine) is purely erroneous assumption. Most of my escapes are through hatch.

when i choose to escape through gate i tend to bring wakeup! in case hatch gets closed or if the team has toolboxes. Otherwise i work on gens, bait the killer, and avoid hook.

I've played this game long enough to know that many, perhaps even most survivors I have interacted with had good intentions throughout the match. I've talked to thousands of them. I have thanked and been thanked for going above and beyond the rational expectation of play in situations that were likely and often did end up in the other survivor escaping and the one making the impossible save not. In the very rare case, perhaps even both escape. The memories of those moments are more valuable than points on a scoreboard. To see the gratitude of people you don't even know but merely played a fun match together with is infinitely more valuable to me than getting a few more BPs.

Play how you want but remember while you're planning your next escape and not caring if anyone else does, someone on your team may very well be going out of their way to help you do that. But that's all just well and great for you, isn't it? May we never meet in the fog.

i'm a solo player. i don't care if the other survivors escape or not. they're playing their own survivor game. i'm queuing for me. my time is being spent to level my profile and grind my challenges.

im just playing the game. i never said you had to save me, but i'm not giving up my match for a stranger. it that stranger doesn't want to unhook me because they're too scared then fine 🤷🏻‍♂️ but i'm not going to stop fighting the entity.

those other players in my lobby ARE a tool. because unhooking then keeps pressure off of me and they might unhook me later or complete a gen while i'm being chased.

i've made a great case for my argument.

for starters this whole thing is just an opinion from you in the first place. so by simply saying i disagree with your opinion i've made a great argument as the facts do not matter at that point. it's an opinion.

but i've gone farther by treating this as a rogerian argument to explain that specific differing of opinion due to my views on the gameplay. which apparently isn't good enough? let's try a summary then.

first and foremost as i just stated this is your opinion. secondly the "team" concept falls apart when solo queued. third - given that a player gains emblems and bloodpoints the longer they're alive and those are the only form of progression in the game which continue to increase regardless of if you die or not why should a player give that up just because they might die? fourth, why should anyone let someone else escape instead of escaping themselves. fifth point - dying on hook doesn't guarantee the remaining survivor will even find the hatch before the killer because there is a huge delay between the death animation and the hatch spawning so you might be giving up on a game where the other survivor dies anyway - you even confirmed this by agreeing to it.

all 5 of these points are solid and you've yet to convince me otherwise.

the only actual rebuttals you've provided are "because it's the right thing to do", "i do it myself", "you'll die anyway", "it feels good to do", and "don't be selfish"

which are all terrible reasons. in fact the way i worded them and seeing them all-together like this it's almost like an indoctrination for a cult of followers that hook dive lol.

for the record it feels good earning those extra blood points for struggling and then getting unhooked even more. especially if i live long enough to do a gen, heal an injury, open a chest, cleanse a totem and especially escape instead. that's such a good feeling. way better than dying and spamming the continue button. because it's not like i sit around watching the last survivor try to find hatch. that's a swf thing.

You're the kind of player that inspired the title of this thread. If you think a few more BPs and the chance your emblems might be a different color for struggling on the 2nd hook is worth increasing the killer's chance to get 4k then go for it. Despite how you feel being a solo player you should know that you have NEVER escaped a match without the help of your team. You have never earned anything in this game as survivor that wasn't in some way aided by the help and support of other players you played with. THAT is why it is the right thing to do in situations like this. If survivors can't trust each other during the match then you're just making it that much easier for the killer to win.

  • @wydyadoit said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3351752#Comment_3351752

nah. it's just hypocritical. you're asking for a stranger to give you a free hatch escape out of the goodness of their hearts. never mind the fact that they might have been the only one doing anything which is why they're on the hook to begin with.

why not unhook the player and throw yourself at the killer if you feel like a sacrifice has to be made? just because you think it's hopeless doesn't mean it is.

you want one of you to escape then save the other player and go get put on hook. dont ask the player that's still fighting to win to give up. that's selfish and toxic defeatest behavior. might as well be a hook pogoer at that point.

And you still think it should be you, which again tells me you only care about yourself and use your team as nothing more than a tool for your own benefit. You're not really doing a good job making a case for your argument here. You assume you deserve to be the 4th survivor no matter what. The ONLY thing you are doing in this situation is buying the killer more time to get the 4k all out of an entitlement mentality that you should be the only one who deserves a chance at the hatch no matter the situation. What if your team tried? What if you know the other survivor did their part and the situation reads clearly that you're not escaping? How does it benefit you to throw the entire team away for the sake of your own pride? And by the way, its never a "free hatch escape" as you put it. Its merely giving them a chance to escape when all else fails. I always give up when its me on the hook and there is only 1 other survivor left. I'm not so selfish to think I deserve to be the 4th survivor and that it should be me that gets to have the chance to escape. And you know what? It feels pretty good when they do get the hatch. It makes me feel like it wasn't in vain.

  • @wydyadoit said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3351444#Comment_3351444

i put that in quotes on purpose, but anyway i disagree with your logic. asking a stranger to give something up for your benefit is silly.

    but that goes both ways.

it's your choice to spend the that 20 seconds being too scared to save your teammate and forced to hope that you find hatch before getting caught.

it's their choice to stay alive or not.

that's part of what makes the game interesting.

i get that a lot of people see this game as a 4v1 team survival game and it's fine to think that way, but it's not.

this game is a social experiment where the killer is the common enemy and the survivors are the dynamic pieces. escape is only 1 option and escaping doesnt mean you win.

It is a 4v1 team survival game. If you're only unhooking and healing your team for BPs instead of for the benefit of the team as a whole then your team can't trust you. I already told you that every single time I saved a survivor in this situation we both died. You're not going to get those last 2, 3 or 4 gens done with you being injured off the hook and half your team eliminated. Maybe if there is 1 gen left to do but even still its risky. If you can't read a situation well enough to see that and instead value a couple hundred BPs over doing what you can to help the last survivor then you're just using the rest of the team for your own benefit. You're not the star of the team. You're not the only one the killer is going after. In the situation I described the ONLY person benefiting for you struggling on the hook is the killer.

  • @wydyadoit said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3351423#Comment_3351423

"why should i let you leave without me? might as well earn some bloodpoints. if you save me then i might get another chance to run around for 2 minutes. or i might be the one to escape instead of you. there's no tangible reason why i should give up. i have nothing to gain. i'm a solo survivor and you're some random that should have been doing gens while i was pallet stunning and baiting. but nope you couldn't even finish 3 gens. how did i end up on hook? because i used all 13 pallets. how did you end up on final hook? cause you're bad. everyone knows this. i would have never even been on hook if someone had been doing gens instead of hook farming.

as it stands i'm sitting on an iridescent chaser, a gold altruism, and a silver lightbringer. only thing i'm losing out on is survivor because my team is bad. why would i give up more points when i can just tap skill checks for another 20 seconds"

Or maybe, just maybe you're on that hook because of you. Its not always your teams fault that happens. You're not so perfect at the game that any negative situation defaults blame to someone else. No one is. If you think struggling for 20 more seconds for a few more BPs is worth the whole team losing then you're the one being selfish. Now you want the last survivor to unhook you so YOU can have a chance to escape instead of them even though you were the one on that hook and not them. Being a solo que survivor doesn't mean you should treat your team as just a tool for your own gain.

  • @wydyadoit said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/365572/when-your-team-betrays-you

it's selfish and i'll keep doing it. so save me or die with me.

And this is the problem. You think a better outcome can come from a situation that is very likely going to favor the killer. If you're already in this situation then you probably aren't going to be able to hold off the killer long enough to complete 2, 3 or 4 generators before the killer finds you. You got hooked with gens left needing to be done with only 1 other survivor left. Why should I think you will be able to make that situation better?

  • @Basement_Bubba420 said:

this is why killers slug the second to last survivor. then they can hook both

The difference is killers still have a chance to win in a 1v1. When they slug the 3rd they're forcing the last survivor to either pick up the slugged survivor or wait a very unfair amount of time to even initiate a 1v1. End game collapse or when the doors are powered I can understand it, but when there are gens still left to do then you're really just being toxic at that point for a 4k.

  • @Lynxx said:

Pretty much - some people think it's heroic or something to keep up the struggle, and make sure everyone dies with them.

    For a handful of points.

I've actually had some survivors tell me they did it for the struggle points. Whether or not they were telling the truth I don't know. Honestly I think struggle points shouldn't even be a thing. You get a small amount of points and do nothing but give the killer more time to find the last survivor.

  • Yes! Its probably one of the best features ever added to the game. Now I can see who on my team is doing something when not in chase.

  • The game isn't "easy and quite simple" for most survivor players. To make the game harder for them would only bring more needless backlash and less people playing. Now I do agree the game should be scarier. They could add things like weather effects such as rain, thunder and lightning. More jump scares like the one in Midwich. Things like that.

Half the people I know play female characters because they are trans women or nonbinary... including myself. So that's something. I know a lot of others just generally use female characters in games because it's something they are use to, since I had a friend who originally played Warframe as a Wisp main and moved to DBD, so they only play female characters as a result.

I find it interesting how many people have many different reasons to like a character.

The people you mentioned make up an extreme minority of gamers. The point I was making is that female characters are played more often because they appeal to the majority of people who play video games. Its not the only reason they are played, but it is mostly the reason. Beautiful women are very marketable in entertainment.

You can say that about dead hard too, tho.

"Dead hard is too common. I can't recall a match where a survivor wasn't using it for a long time now. It basically became an extra chance to all the survivors and a constant annoyance to killers. It isn't always an issue to play against but there are too many matches where survivors are benefiting too much from it. It is especially a problem at a pallet where you have to swing but they use it, getting almost no progress on hooks. Dead hard is a bit too much in its current state."

The difference between dead hard and eruption is survivors have to be perfect in their timing to get any benefit out of it. With eruption a killer merely needs to hold down W long enough to get 2 hits on a survivor which is something that is very common in the game.

  • I'm pretty sure female characters are played more often than males for other reasons than this but I'm sure some players play them for the reasons you mentioned. If you want to play certain characters but find them too loud I would suggest using Iron Will in your loadout. Its not as good as it used to be, but it will significantly reduce the noise your character makes while injured.

Then why even get the event cosmetics if they are just going to be re released

Well, because people may want to use them now rather than waiting. I wanted Feng Min's down the rabbit hole outfit from the last event and forgot to buy it while it was available. I was too focused on other things during that time and thought the event would last longer than it did. If it comes back into the store before next year I'm buying it right away this time.

  • The idea of a skull floating around the map haunting survivors is pretty exciting and terrifying at the same time. Anything that adds more spook factor to the game is a win in my opinion.

  • I always like using this perk and watching killers just stare at me in a confused daze as I lift the pallet up right in front of them. I've even double stunned killers before this way. I don't think many killers expect survivors to use this perk that much. What is it being buffed to?

Maybe people somehow relate to her because she is a gamer ,like how many gay people specially after he got confirmed as gay did with David but whatever the reason is ,companies work like that and focus their resources on the product that sells more

I don't think that is always the case with this game in my opinion. With the game being online for several years now and the data they've gathered from it I don't understand how or why they thought a character like Haddie would be a good idea. For whatever reason they went with it and now see that she was not that well received or at least not from what I have seen. She was paired with one of the best designed killers in the game so I have no doubt that her chapter sold well. As far as the character itself, I think she is mostly ignored and forgotten by the players. As I've said in other replies, I have not seen Haddie in a match since her chapter released and that was only a couple of times and when she had some cosmetics to unlock in a unique event. My only guess as to why Haddie is in the game is because of representation and diversity reasons which is something they've made clear is to be a focus point in the game going forward. I personally think its a worthless and fruitless pursuit, but all I can do is give my opinion about it. Its up to them to look at the market, their target audience, their potential audience and feedback from their customers to determine what is best for the future of this game. When you're trying to sell something, you should always go where the money is. I guess we'll see what the next chapter has to offer and how well it reflects what they've learned with all the data they have on what players responded to well and what they didn't. Will DBD ever have another character as popular as Feng Min? I guess time will tell.

  • Eruption was too common. I can't recall a match where the killer wasn't using it for a long time now. It basically became an extra power to all the killers and a constant annoyance to survivors. It wasn't always an issue to play against but there were too many matches where killers were benefiting too much from it. It was especially a problem against tunnel killers where you had to focus more on saves and interventions and almost no progress on gens. Eruption was a bit too much in its current state.

  • What is this about? When are event cosmetics coming back to the shop and why?

Edit: I just read the developer update and saw cosmetics mentioned there so I guess that is what this post is about.

If you want the cosmetics to "retain a sense of uniqueness to their event" then they could do something special during said event.

Similarly to how lunar new year toolboxes discharge fireworks when you hit a great skill check. Removing them from the store, even for a minute, isn't the answer.

I'd be happy if they showed up in the shop even just a couple more times throughout the year. Event themed skins are always cool and they do help build some hype around the events. I've noticed in Overwatch for example previous years event skins are showing up in the shop randomly which I think is awesome and I'd like to see that happen in other games with a shop as well. I wouldn't mind either way if they were always available or only available in a shop rotation way. The only thing I don't like is only having them available during the event itself. Sometimes I'll look at a new skin and think about getting it at a later time. Its usually when I see it in game used by other players that I decide to buy the skin for myself. I see outfits in matches all the time that I look for in the store after the match is over but often times they are past event skins that aren't available at the time.

    A weekly rotation is unnecessary.

Putting the cosmetics in the shop is perfectly fine.

If the cosmetics are to retain a sense of uniqueness to their event then yes it is necessary. My suggestion is just to give a way to purchase these cosmetics more often throughout the year without having to wait an entire year to buy them. There would be no reason to even have event themed cosmetics if they were always available.

I am with you, but I think there should not be any time-limited collections at all. Leave every cosmetic to be available to buy all year round! 🤑

I think there would need to be some time between seeing them in the store so as to maintain a level of rarity and uniqueness. A shop rotation would allow for more chances to buy previous event cosmetics while also making them not as common as the base line cosmetics that are always available to the characters. Maybe they could also have a "for you" section that has cosmetics appear based upon the characters you play the most and the cosmetics can be from any time in the game's past.

  • Kate has a few brown/darker hair pieces. I think you can buy some of them with iri shards. Kate looks great in both light and dark hair which is why I think it would be a good idea for Kate's outfits to come with variations.

  • The title of the game has absolutely nothing to do with the balance or fairness of the game. If it did there would be no survivor players since the implication would be you're going to lose almost always playing survivor. Also I don't know why you made this post thinking survivors mains believe they must always escape. What matters is balance and the survivor feeling like they have more than a slight chance in hell of escaping. There are too often situations where things shift too much and too fast into the killer's favor. If 2 survivors get eliminated right away and there are still 3-4 gens up then you're probably not going to escape by opening the door. The gen requirement to power the exit gates should drop as survivors are eliminated. Similar to how it was with the old hatch except it would work towards the door.

A little reminder to keep the discussion civil and respectful, it doesn't matter if you are talking about fictional characters, there is no need to shame others for their opinions.

I don't think anyone here did that unless I missed something. I've made it clear anyone can play any character they want. Its perfectly fine to love any character in this game. What I did was simply explain possible/likely reasons why certain characters aren't as popular as others.

So is Nea and she's played like crazy...because...she has a lot of cosmetics.

Nea's appearance reflects a common personality so she easily appeals to a lot of people. She's also been in the game since almost the very beginning. Haddie just looks like a random NPC you pass by in a single player game and forget they exists 5 seconds later.

  • I always find it strange that a streamer would do things like this knowing they are live and everything they're accusing you of is a lie. I'd say if there is a vod of all this keep it as evidence in case they're somehow successful in getting you banned from any of those platforms. I doubt it'll happen but if something does it looks like a clear cut case to getting them banned.

I feel that my main point here is diversity which alot of people seem to not like. I get it feng sells. But so does diversity sense you think you know so much about business and marketing go look at what happens when people become more diverse. I didnt complain about feng getting attention. I said she isnt the only person who should get cosmetics. Thats it thats all. I would really appreciate it if you try to be open minded but i guess what did i expect from this toxic community like dbd. Yall fengs seem to be really triggered by nothing 🤣🖕🏽

The only person really being toxic here is you, noted by the middle finger emoji you placed at the end of your post.

Diversity is well and good, but when you're trying to make money you can get all the praise in the world for being diverse but praise doesn't equal profit all the time. They can try new ideas but if those ideas aren't received well by the community then it doesn't make sense for them to keep spending time and resources on things that just don't sell as well as other things they've done.

What im seeing in this thread is alot of racist. But i forgot this is the dead by daylight community

And now you're playing the racist card. No one is being racist here because they aren't agreeing with you. No one is being racist because they don't like Haddie or don't think Elodie should get more cosmetics. No one is being racist for pointing out Feng's popularity compared to other survivors. The only thing I have done is try to explain to you how marketing in gaming works and how it doesn't make sense to focus on ideas that didn't generate a worthwhile return for the time and money put into it. That isn't racism. That's pure common sense.

The fengs i see arent using her for her perks. Its purely cosmetics wise. Which theres nothing wrong with but that goes back to my point people would use other characters if they had better cosmetics

No! They wouldn't! Some characters just aren't received well by the players. More cosmetics won't fix that. If it did, you'd probably see the least played survivors getting new outfits all the time. The only thing they can do when a new character isn't a big success is take the feedback, move on and do better next time.
