  • I have a hard time getting deviousness with Ghostyboy. Maybe 3 to 6k max bp per game.

  • We would love a reward for devotion levels which the devs have agreed should be added. Unknown when it will be added though as it's been talked about since it was released. Including the normal ranking system.

The sad thing is I have seen more P3 Quentins this year play both survivor and killer then I have Legion.

My current total is 4 Quentin two of which I'm pretty sure were the same person

I see a lot of p3 Quentins on PS4. I've seen a grand total of two Legions this past month

One face camped each of us, Bubba style, and the other played normally

  • It's theorized that Vigo was who created the hatch through his experimentation with auric cells and the fog

  • I play a puzzle game called word stacks on my phone. It also helps un tilt me after a bad game.

  • Thankfully the survivor will leave a husk that can be hooked for stacks and points

  • Wasn't expecting anything but I had hopes and dreams

It was completely superfluous to add the clock into the game. Just made end game Freddy builds that much more not a thing, even if you're going to run stall addons into New Freddy.

Old Freddy has a ton of different, yet viable builds. New Freddy from what I can see based off his mechanics is going to just get shoehorned into "Maximum teleport pressure" or some form of "Maximize Dreamsnare effectiveness".

Dreampallets are gonna be a joke to red rank players.

The only buff New Freddy got was that dying survivors healed up to injured are still asleep. Every other part of the awake/asleep dynamic is now just... Ugh.

I swear. He better not have any slowdown while casting dreamsnares.

I mean... Imagine if you could only catch injured survivors in beartraps, and full health survivors became injured with beartraps but not caught.

They said on stream there is no slowdown

Here is a list of his passive and active abilities:

Survivors fall asleep passively over 60 seconds and Freddy can force someone asleep by hitting them.

Freddy has a 32 meter terror radius which is heard as a heartbeat while survivors are awake. When fully asleep the terror radius heartbeat is replaced with his lullaby which is non-directional.

If a survivor is outside of the terror radius Freddy is completely invisible. As Freddy approaches he flashes in and out of visibility. When Freddy is within 16 meters of a survivor he is fully visible.

He has three powers: Teleporting to gens is part of his base kit as well as setting up snares. Teleporting is a channelled ability while up to 10 snares can be placed while moving without any slowdown. An add on replaces snares with the ability to place fake pallets which up to 10(?) can be placed at a time.

The teleportation takes a few seconds to fully channel and has a cooldown after being used. This cooldown is shortened by 15% for each survivor that is fully asleep up to a 60% reduction of the teleportation cooldown.

While channeling, the gen will spurt blood to alert survivors nearby that Freddy is coming.

Snares inflict slow for a few seconds and prevent fast vaults but can only be triggered by a survivor who is fully asleep. They can be placed mid chase. They are two meters in length and probably can't be dead harded over but are more easily visible than Trapper's bear traps.

Fake pallets can be placed wherever pallets can spawn. When a survivor throws it down it breaks into a shower of blood and doesn't stun Freddy. Like snares, fake pallets are only visible and triggered by fully asleep survivors.

  • - Spirit: Grabbing a survivor off a gen without prayer beads.

    - Nurse: Blink hitting a survivor on console.

    - Trapper: Survivors stepping in bear traps.

  • Leatherface gets different masks. Does that count?

Honestly I think the secret strat to making it so the devs don't nerf a killer when they are released is to say that the killer still needs buffs :/

Lots of people were saying he needed buffs

  • Just a rant, but I just finished the shortest game as survivor ever. Going up against a billy, someone is chainsawed within a minute, they DC.

    @JordanMalicious you gotta spank em'

  • What do you suggest should be buffed?

  • Go to your privacy setting and set it to friends only or no one. You will no longer get those messages

  • They really need to do something about the Wraith. He was my first main and would go back to him if he were more viable.

Someone made a suggestion where he doesn't have a slowdown while uncloaking at the cost of losing his speed burst.

Poor poor clown, forgotten by the devs, and most of the playerbase

    HÖNK HÖNK

    @PhantomMask20763 Gamzy, is that you?

  • Hatch spawn if more gens are completed than survivors. It also spawn if only one survivor remains regardless if no gens are completed

  • One thing I will say about the plague, yes, if survivors don't cleanse they remain injured so downing is easier. But, not being able to use a part of your power can take some of the fun away. I enjoy using corrupted purge so it sucks when I'm unable to.

It's the same thing with Legion. A lot of the fun was taken away. At least for me.

  • My build at rank two with Ghostface is bbq, pop goes the weasel, enduring, and shadowborn. So far, I've been doing well.

  • That's one good thing about Ghostface. He has a multifaceted power which makes it easier to adapt.

  • Could be good and bad as it would let you carry out your current use of nightshroud but you also wouldn't know you passed someone.

I personally love The Ghostface reveal mechanic and find it just as useful as his stalk mechanic. It’s unjustly complained about on these forums, and it’s also hubris when survivors on these forums currently laugh it off.

As more Ghostface players become more competent with him, they’ll better learn to not be frustrated with the reveal mechanic and learn to make survivors regret revealing their own location when it was not necessary to.

Even the survivors currently being stalked take great risk in trying to break GF out of Nightshroud instead of immediately legging it and trying to immediately break LoS like they would with Myers, as the probability of still getting exposed is quite high.

I’d say very likely in the near future, kinda like how survivors have responded to Plague, we’ll see less and less survivors going up against competent GF that haven’t been noticed by GF attempting to break GF out of his power.

Exactly! A survivor will start revealing me so I stalk them as much I can then move on elsewhere to spread pressure, kick gens, stabby people etc. Then, sneak back to the other survivor, finish the stalk, and down them.

The best advice for new Ghostface players is to not rely on exposing. That sneaky regular hits are great as well. Especially if it spooks them and they run into a wall wasting the after hit sprint burst.

    Good times.

  • Was sure others had discovered it before me though I still thought it was interesting enough to share. Maybe not everyone knows this? Including survivors.

    Monstrous Shrine

Each time a survivor is hooked, gain a token. For each token, the End-Game Collapse timer is reduced by 3 / 4 / 5 seconds. Gain 25% increased BP in the Sacrifice category.

Wow, that's an interesting idea though it might prove too much in conjunction with Remember me.

THE end game build: NOED, remember me, monstrous shrine, and blood warden. putz around while gens are completed then one shot someone and hook them for blood warden after a gate is open then watch as the entity takes them all l.

  • A lot of people seem to not know how play him or think that camping is the best strategy for Ghostyboy. If I see that I try to give them advice post game where I've been told they are new to him.

Not to say there aren't people who do it to be toxic. I've had those Ghost face games too. Had a Legion camp recently as well.

  • People complained about Legion's lack of counterplay and even though he wasn't a good killer. We all know how far they went with nerfing him. I'd be scared of what if they would do to Spirit if the same outcry is made.

If they treat Spirit the same way I would stop playing.

  • They do bans in waves every so often. If a person meets a certain percentage of dcs they will be banned. Once dedicated servers are released they will restructure how they handle it.

  • With the hotfix Ghostface no longer makes the original stealth sound. Now, it's just the sound of clothing and footsteps (I think the footstep sounds were made louder to compensate). It's a lot easier to sneak up on people.

Gen rushing is not a thing. like, it seriously isnt. its their only objective when they dont have totems, or hooked/injured survivors in the way. Like... what else are they supposed to do? run around and find you so you can chase them? it isnt gen rushing if they all get on a gen (like they are supposed to) and get them done... Its your job to try and slow that down. they get ruin, that is bad luck, keep them off gens. if you are chasing a survivor for too long while the others get gens done and you absolutely cant down the survivor you are chasing, go after another survivor. Like, their only objectives are to do gens, if they do them and you arent interfering, and they are getting them done, it is your fault. it is not gen rushing. its literally not. are they supposed to sit around NOT working on gens until you find them? are they supposed to NOT do gens and just let you chase and kill them? what else are they supposed to do if they dont have anything else they need to do? if they have ruin, yeah they should get it before they really start working on gens, but if you said they found it right away and cleansed it, they have nothing else to do but work on gens, like they are supposed to do. if you arent doing stuff to stop them from working on gens, and they are getting them done, you cant call it gen rushing. they have nothing else to do! like seriously.

Related to that video... That wasn't gen rushing, and if you think that is, you are wrong. Of course you got DS at the end, DS lasts for at least 40 seconds... what did you expect? You said that game was unbalanced, it wasn't. You were doing good at the beginning but then something chased and the survivors changed it up and started doing gens while you were being looped by someone who was good at looping. You were losing BL every time you broke a pallet, which probably didn't help. You pipped, that should be considered a win. None of the stuff that happened in that game, was OP or broken. You just want the game to favor killers, and you want the game to be easy for killers and bad for survivors. you want it to be easy, and it isn't. what fun is a game that isn't easy. You could have easily insta downed them a lot in that video. how can survivors get greedy and not do gens, when they have nothing else to do? like... you said: " If survivors aren't greedy and they just do the gens, it's over in 3 minutes and 20 seconds". if no other survivor is being hooked, what else are they going to do if you dont have ruin? They're going to do gens, because its all they can do. if they arent being chased, what are they supposed to do? go find you and the person you are chasing and join in? no, they are supposed to do gens. What can they be greedy about if there is nothing to cleanse or unhook? that game you had in that video, literally wasn't bad or unbalanced. You literally just like to complain, because the game doesn't favor killers the way you want it to. Not tunneling doesn't get you #########. tunneling is an easy and no skill way of "winning". Any good killer can win even without tunneling. Not tunneling makes the game more challenging for killers, and probably more fun, if you didn't have the mentality of "I want the game to be easy for killers" which, is literally the mentality you are giving off with "Gen rushing! DS and BT are not balanced! Dead Hard and Adrenaline are so not balanced! Killers get ######### over in this game!". If survivors didnt have those perks, you would probably complain about something else until everything is balanced to killers can easily just go in and wreck survivors.

Gen rushing is not a thing. and that is that. you obviously cant hook 12 times in 3 minutes, but if your games last 3 minutes because survivors are efficient at getting gens done, you are doing something WRONG. I dont know what you are doing wrong, cause I am not playing with you, or seeing how you play, but like, seriously? TRY SOMETHING NEW instead of saying you are getting gen rushed because survivors are doing one of their only objectives and you are doing the same thing you have always done to stop it. it literally isn't gen rushing. like, I seriously do not know what to say, because there is nothing else to say, it isn't gen rushing. they are doing one of their only objectives(when there is no other objective they need to do), and you cant say they are gen rushing because of it.

What would you call it if not gen rushing? Yes, it's the only objective for survivors but they still complete them too quick. It's not toxic but it is pretty frustrating .

Also, op said that the video was not the game he was initially talking about. Rather, an example of how tunneling can be effective despite how much it is despised.

Gens can be completed in less than 5 mins even with good attempts at map pressure. Especially if the top 4 killers aren't being used. Only one survivor can be chased at a time while the others work on gens. This is especially true with swf. Even only two man swf.

My take on this is that it gets boring playing the same killer over and over. Plus, console nurse is generally not used either so they have even less to choose from. "Gen rush" can happen even if you're using the best killers. I love the Wraith but am reluctant to play him as I prefer having a fair chance at the game

  • I completely agree with this

  • @ChesterTheMolester said:

IRL you usually get paralysed for the restcof your life when you get with a machete or cattle hammer in the spine.

I suggest survivors have to use wheelchairs for the rest of the trisl after first hit, of course you can't run or use pallets or windows either cause realism.

Would love to see that. Or Bill and David having coughing fits from smoking

  • It was added with the Legion chapter

  • Legion's nerf was/is even worse than the nerf given to Freddy. Button addons are worthless, stun duration increased, slowed speed etc. It was claimed that he had no counterplay ,when he did, pre nerf.

Another example of counterplay: If a legion didn't want to bounce between survivors he couldn't apply map/gen pressure and would get gen rushed for one survivor. That, in itself, is a major punishment.

Any other killer can barrel down on one survivor, losing pressure in the process, for one down. But, Legion was singled out? It's a bad play in the majority of cases no matter the killer.

Keep the deep wound rework and missed attack stun but give Legion their speed back and reduce the stun duration. Then, rework the button add-ons. Maybe, make them apply on the first frenzy hit or increase the duation of the debuffs?

At this point I wish I could ask for a refund but I have already put time and bloodpoints into Legion. It's just frustrating and disheartening.

  • @Boosted_Dwight said:

I doubt that would be too strong. Unless your team is pumping through gens like I waste pallets :/

Off topic a bit but it's incredible to me how often red ranks waste pallets, even the shack pallet. It's not uncommon for me to them to throw the shack one before a gen completed.

Your comment made me laugh though so I wanted to comment

I haven't played a ton but I committed so him since release with no exceptions and crawled my way to rank five. I was a PIP away last week from being close to where I am now but I went on a losing streak and down 3 ranks. I'm going to stick with it until I either get to 1 or I blow a gasket in my head and start foaming out the mouth. Or just rank reset ... If I start to lose my mind I've got about 30 ebony moris saved up 😋

@JESUS_CHRIST I tried this but gave in at rank 3 and went on a mori spree with Spirit.

  • It's one of those situations where they are trying to balance the yellow ranks. Thing is, all that is needed to learn this is by playing a round with Freddy or watching someone play him.

    So..... shrugs

Ultimately, my thoughts are that we should wait and see

  • There are far too many safe loops, especially, with certain perks. Plus, ir's boring going around and around in circles. Then survivors bm at pallets or after a window vault just to be aggravating. Then message insults and brag about being able to run in circles.

  • @TheGameZpro3 said:

@Kabu Jake Park will remember that.

You're right. Jake Park too. When I play survivor, David and Feng are my mains. So, David is whom I thought of first.

  • My issue isn't with Laurie but object of obsession. I don't even mind decisive strike but OoO is frustrating.

  • Davids recent cosmetic makes him look like from that era. If that counts

  • There has been some good advice here but something I'd like to add is that I like to partially stalk someone, scare them away then stalk someone else or sneaky stab them. This works well with surveillance as you can see when they get back on it then punish them for doing so.

  • Kind of like a seperate "mode" where you spectate other matches? That would be awesome. Being able to watch high rank matches could be a good learning experience. While watching lower ranks might be cringey but definitely nostalgic.

  • Don't have an answer about devs adding voice chat. There are plans to keep the party after the match though.

Here is a summary of what will be released for year 4 https://youtu.be/HOtNQ60QaB8

It's a link to the official Dead By Daylight's video

  • Better yet, lets also give survivors tank controlls like in Silent Hill 😝

  • What is your time time and what times are you trying to play? I have a similar experience on ps4 but only during the mornings (est standard time)

  • All four Legions in a trial with stab wound study and Frank's mixtape pre-nerf.

    28 stab wounds

  • My go-to build for Spirit is bb&c, surveillance, sloppy butcher, and save the best for last. Devour hope plus thrill if the hunt for a hex game with haunted grounds and ruin if you want to go all out.

Also, overcharge works well for me, even in higher ranks. Distressing can be good on her as well due to the phasing being silent to those within her terror radius.

  • Ghostface is fun to play when the survivors aren't on point with stalking the stalker. I love the flappy flaps and squeaking of the leather. Very satisfying.

  • Make Legion great again! Add-ons aside, just lowering the cooldown after Feral Frenzy might be enough. Though, what it should be lowered to, I'm not sure. 2.5 to 3 seconds would be a great place to start.
