Matches feel more or less the same to me other than the odd killer who only wants to farm, but those are fortunately rare in my experience.
-
I see someone using them in most matches. Don't really understand the people saying they're saving them because "all killers are tunneling and camping!" or "all survivors do is genrush and leave!" People come to these forums to whine about these things literally every day, and the whining goes up whenever there's a BP event, so what are you saving them for? A magical future where everyone plays how you want them to? Because that time ain't coming.
-
This person did hundreds of bloodwebs and found single percentage differences between no prestige and P3. Also search for McLean and you'll see him in the comments confirming players aren't going to notice better bloodwebs.
-
Was in queue as survivor for like 10 minutes and then got an infinite loading screen when transitioning to the lobby.
-
I've actually been using Stridor on my other killers recently with good results because of how common Iron Will seems to be. Bummer they're nerfing it. Was good for drastically reducing time to find survivors who used IW and stealth well. Definitely happy my stealth builds are even stronger now, though, since I've been running IW since before Spirit existed to great effect. If the point was to indirectly nerf Spirit, I think it's a terrible change, if the point is to make in more in line with what people expect the IW+Stridor interaction to be I think it's kind of meh. Not sure IW having no counter is a good thing.

And another huge problem is the amount of breathtakingly sweaty survivors who are driving this behaviour. I played 5 killer trials last night and the longest lasted a little over 5 minutes. Why burn 4 cakes if you're just going to slam gens and leave? It makes no sense.
Can easily get 10-15k as survivor in a 5min genrush, pretty good BP/min IMO.
-
Takes me like 2-4 hours to get 1.6m BP with the current event with a lot of that time being in between matches. Running WGLF and BBQ respectively, though.

You are losing the game when you lose all gens. It doesn't matter what you say, the killer lost 5 gens and the survivors are almost escaped, that's losing the game. NOED is the equivalent of a Mario Kart item that you use when you're in last place and it boosts you up to second or first place.
Games not lost or won until all survivors have escaped or died. Your line of thinking that 5 gens = killer lost is why I can understand you're so triggered by NOED because once all gens are done you feel entitled to escaping.
-
I swear BHVR one time had a live tracker webpage for some event similar to this in the past... BHVR's a rare company in that they somehow lose technology they once had.
-
Did no one playtest this during development? Visually it looks good, but clearly they were more interested in remaking a famous RE location rather than a DBD map.
-
Honestly, what events in DBD do people think aren't boring? It's either do special gens and hook people on special hooks or hold m1 on some event object like that 1 blight event.
-
No one's ruining it. Got all my crowns without much hassle and people have been using cakes in most of my matches. Fun times IMO.
-
Again implies there was a point in the past where balance was better than it currently is. DBD's balancing may be far from perfect, but its balance is better now than at any point in the past IMO.

Yeah, you're right, why in the hell do survivors need to escape but killers dont have to do anything?
Because if all survivors had to do is get the crown you'd have them killing themselves after getting it. Personally I think the requirement for survivor and killer should be getting 1 pip, maybe even just safety pip, because then you actually show you played.
-
Probably more BP per hour tbh.
-
Are you arguing that DBD players have a sunk cost fallacy going on or something? DBD's incredibly cheap, I doubt anyone keeps playing it because they paid money for it.

Yesterday was the last time I considered a killer's fun. I had a couple noob killers and I felt bad for them. I had a Felix on my team who was clicking his flashlight at a noob Huntress and I thought he was a total dick. I was going to let him die on hook if she downed him. Another was a baby Pig who had to have been a level 20. I had a level 20 Ghostface DC yesterday on Hawkins as soon as we popped the last gen, and I sent him a message telling him that he didn't use his powers and we always knew he was coming. I wasn't being salty or mean, I was explaining to a new player what he could do to get better.
And I have let killers get kills before. The last time it happened was when two people DC'ed and the killer let us finish the gens and GTFO and I stayed and let the entity kill me. The other person left. He could have ended the game very quickly but decided to let us get some points, so I felt he should get some too. I always let killers hit me out of the exit gats for extra points if they don't camp, tunnel, and slug, but I bet a lot of people think I'm being toxic somehow by standing still and pointing out. It probably doesn't even occur to killer mains that survivors can be nice like that.
Yesterday was also the last time I tried to stay behind to give a killer a free kill, and the Trapper brought me to the exit gates.
Are you trying to tell me though that the killer who loaded into the new map and proceeded to camp, tunnel, and slug at five gens when we were down a person had fun? I stopped playing when she had my two teammates on the ground. Is that fun for killer mains? Someone who stands still and gives up because the game was over about 90 seconds into it? Is the only thing that is fun for killers getting a 4K every single time and literally nothing else? Because as a survivor main, every single survivor doesn't have to escape for me to have fun.
Doubt it lol. Say you're against a killer that's obviously not good. It takes them 5 gens to down 1 person. The person is down under a pallet, you're crouched behind a wall just nearby, the killer doesn't even look around for other survivors and starts picking the person up. Do you a) slam the pallet and get the save and laugh at the killer or b) give pity on the killer that's clearly playing with people beyond their skill level? I guarantee you the answer is always a even before today.

I've been getting plenty of BP on survivor just playing normally with WGLF and whatever BP offerings are used. Are people really that bad at survivor they can't get 20k+ in most games?

He should give hindered status 🙄
Why? he's just a little guy!

Balancing for average players just make high level players stronger tbh, so do that I suppose, let's the ecelebs make better montages for youtube.
-
IDK why they're so reluctant to alter perks. Vast majority of them are junk.
-
Back in the day we had survivors who would legit run infinites for 10+ minutes and killers who would facecamp when facecamp was literally uncounterable (you literally couldn't unhook survivors if the killer stood directly in front of them). With some perspective the current state of the game isn't that bad lol.
-
I'd rather get outplayed and have all 4 survivors escape than do a boring farming match.
-
Not in my opinion. This bp gain rate is too high. If it was always like this a lot of regular players would quickly run out of things to unlock and just leave. The gameplay of DBD isn't deep enough on its own to keep people engaged like games like CSGO or Dota2. The grind is very important to player retention in DBD.

Why would you not want this? There were 5 cake offerings used and I hooked everyone twice so everyone got atleast 170k bp.
What am I supposed to be impressed by here? As killer I usually get 25k+ points every game before bonuses anyways, so why would I do something as boring as farming to get a few thousand more?
I don't think OP is really doing anything bad tbh. Baiting your opponent is an amusing strategy IMO.
-
By not using them you're just setting yourself up to be more angry when you do use them and the match doesn't go your way. Just use BPS and Cakes as you get them instead of hoarding them and you won't have an emotional attachment to them.
-
Have you tried just spending your bloodpoints?
-
Whole point of prestige is to give no-lifers something to do, not sure why people who can be bothered to waste millions of BP for a skin they probably never use should also be given some advantage over others.
-
If used well it seems decently strong. Buys more time than DS because the killer's probably going to want to kick the gen after the stun wears off, and you can do it multiple times per match. Would honestly be pretty annoying to go against 4 Blast Mines from competent survivors. 5s wasted per BM proc is quite valuable if the other people are actually doing gens. In reality 1 survivor's going to be crouch walking on the other side of the map while the other 2 tbag each other because they both want to open the same chest.
-
DBD looks like a game that came out in 2010, so IDK why it's unreasonable for console players to expect it to not stutter and lag on 2012 hardware.
-
I wouldn't praise them just yet. The cakes last year didn't stack (but gave 140% instead of 104%) for 10 days.
-
If they were going from current graphics to something like Last of Us 2 graphics, then I'd get it. But so far the effort of remaking old maps seems like a waste since visually they're not much better IMO, and from a gameplay perspective they're either the same or worse. I only play DBD on PC, so IDK if maybe the updates are better for consoles.
-
I have to imagine the console player base is waning due to the never ending technical issues, thus increasing queue times.
-
If it wasn't a good strat then you should be happy the Hag's giving you an easier match, no?
-
I'd rather go against a "sweat squad" than SWFs like OP describes. People who intentionally don't play the game properly are just wasting my time. Even worse is when I, as solo survivor, gets matched with 3-4man SWFs like this. I report them, but I doubt BHVR would ever punish these kinds of people for ruining matches.
-
Must be a good strategy if it's worked 3 times in a row.
-
Pretty easy to be correct when you create a strawman and provide no examples or data.
-
Been a problem since they added servers, so probably never tbh. Adding a reconnect feature is apparently too hard as well.
-
Lol, solo survivor will never be as bad as when people could DC with no repercussions. Nothing like getting matched with an SWF that all DC because they don't like the map/killer.
-
Should be no timeout for DCing until there's a reconnect feature. Internet has issues for a few seconds and you get kicked, it's ridiculous.
-
I don't get why they don't just remove chat at this point since most players are on platforms where they don't seem to want to implement chat for whatever reason. Just add generic "good game" messages people can select in post-game and get rid of the chat box.
-
I'm glad. He was such a braindead killer with too much map pressure with no meaningful downside. Now he requires some level of thought to use his chainsaw.
-
Why did you feel the need to come to the forums to whine after losing a match? Get over it lol
-
More rewarding to play solo than with SWF IMO.
-
Knowing BHVR they'd add voice chat and break 10 other things and spend the next 2 years trying to make it all work properly.
-
Effectively it does nothing to rarity.
McLean: ""What I was trying to get at was that the rarity bonuses might be too low to notice, so for most players, the outfit is the point of the prestige. I wouldn't currently recommend grinding the prestige to players only interested in better bloodwebs.""

OP, you've taken what was almost certainly a joke (based on what I know of Scott) and really obsessed over it.
That said, the "small pp" meme is unironically misandrist and body shaming and people shouldn't do it.
-
I wish they'd add regression to gates so people wouldn't 99 all the time. I've died so many times because of it, plus it makes EGC challenges much more tedious.
-
Much like so-called "tunneling" and "camping", "genrush" is something that was made up by sore losers to explain why they lost.
-
When you find yourself psychoanalyzing people over how they play a videogame, you probably take it far too seriously.
