Awhile back the game files revealed numerous addons for firecrackers, but unfortunately that concept must've been scrapped. It's pretty lame such a fun item is tied to limited time events.

1. Not a bad idea.
2. No thanks. People who are able to play enough to grind prestige don't need more of an advantage over regular players.
3. See 2.
4. See 2.
5. Really only benefits survivors, and for what? People who are prestiged already rarely use their event items anyways. Stop hoarding digital items!
6. I've always felt Legacy Prestige was a mistake and the glowy cosmetics should've been added as Prestige 4-6. I doubt they'll ever add more tiers of Prestige, though, as it's more effort than BHVR probably cares to put in.
The whole point of prestiging is because you want more of a grind, with the cosmetic being a bonus. So I really don't think the grind needs to be reduced.

As the depip squad showed, if survivors are actually focused on escaping they will beat the killer most of the time. In reality most survivors spend a non-trivial amount of each match not actually progressing their main objective.

Like there's no need for it on killers on spirit, freddy, nurse yet I go up against this a lot and it's getting boring. I'm okay with this on killers like trapper but on freddy? Y'all are sad lmao
If there's no need for them then you should be happy they're wasting perk slots on supposedly unnecessary perks.
-
Rank means you're good or bad at playing by the arbitrary guidelines set by the devs. A survivor can loop the killer for 5 gens every game, but if you don't do other things you'll never rank up.
-
If they're at red ranks and doing it then clearly it's a good strategy for winning.
-
If I thought the rewards were worth it I'd just buy the levels. $1/level isn't a lot IMO. Fortunately the rewards are junk compared to the normal skin offerings in the store so I've never felt the need to buy levels.

And here, I always thought Nea was meant to be a lesbian and thus an LGBT character and now I am really confused....
Bubba got a slick LGBT treatment recently, or is that offensive now, I can't even tell anymore....
Crossdressing is not LGBT...

There should be no DC penalty until they add a reconnect feature.

The community when the devs tries something new :
They took a problem (poor matchmaking) and made it worse... why shouldn't players voice their frustration?
-
Since they've added more perks to the bloodweb, I think the next QoL improvement would be removing some of the RNG, which is where I think most player's frustration with DbD's grind comes from. Having some of the perk nodes let you choose your perk would be one such option.
-
Lets them pump out more cosmetics of the same quality for less effort, and the paypigs will lap it up.
-
The actual fidelity of the cosmetics is quite subpar in DBD. They simply don't have the skill to make high quality models unfortunately.
-
Depends entirely on what they did prior to being hooked. It's entirely possible to die in 1 hook and still pip or safety. But more often than not they'll depip or safety.
-
Whenever I vs a killer with NOED they usually only get 1 down out of it. For going the entire match with 3 perks, and the possibility of it not even activating due to survivors cleansing dull totems, it doesn't seem very good.
-
Hoarding virtual items can't be healthy. Best to learn to let go, bucko.
-
The whole point of prestiging is to give no-lifers something to do so they don't quit, not to give you an advantage over other players.

G*mers™: I like totally don't care if a character's LGBT+
Also G*mers™: Here's my essay on how little I care.

I'm sorry, but anyone saying "punish first hook suicides" isn't using their brain.
Basically, you're calling for punishment of the use of all game mechanics in ways you don't like. That just doesn't make any rational sense.
Bodyblocking someone in a corner is also a mechanic in the game, you gonna tell me you're okay with that happening to you?
-
Just give me 25% BP bonus for each member of SWF I'm matched with/against.
-
I managed to do it solo with keys I got from using Plunderer's and playing normally until the hatch spawned, at which point I'd look for it and leave (assuming I found a key). Took 9 games.

I would like to point out that League of Legends has DC penalties across all of its game modes, ranked or not.
In a 5-player game, if people disconnect on average once every 5 games, then statistically you will get few games without at least one DC. It's worse the more players there are: so for LoL if player disconnect 1 every 10 games, you're looking at one DC per game (not always, just very often).
For quality matches, ranked or not, you really want your DC rate to be very low.
League also has a reconnect feature. So if the game crashes or your internet goes out briefly you can rejoin without being punished.

It's amazing how all these things are magically happening on a much higher scale now that DC punishments are in place. I'm not saying you're lying, I'm just saying it's suspect.
Probably because people weren't being locked out for 5 minutes when the game was FUBAR'd. Now you get 5 minutes to go on the forums and rant about being punished for things beyond your control. Twice now I've been punished for the game crashing/bugging out as Killer. Previously I'd just queue up for another game, but now BHVR gives me time to complain on the forums when their game messes up.
-
Seems pretty dumb to have DC penalties when there's still no way to reconnect to a match. I've already been unfairly punished for it when my game crashed as killer and I had to sit around for like 4 minutes before being able to queue again. I assume if I crash again too soon that it'll be an even longer timeout for something beyond my control. Typically games with leaver penalties let you reconnect without punishment within a short period of time (eg League of Legends).
