None of the event rewards have been hard to get so I don't see why anyone would care tbh. If they were skill-based rewards then I could see being a little grumpy about it.
-
As long as it stays to cosmetics I couldn't care less personally.
-
The effectiveness of niche builds will always be more sporadic with increased RNG. It's why most players get funneled into a relatively small pool of builds in any game. Doing a build that's extremely strong some of the time is generally less appealing to doing a build that's pretty good the majority of the time.
-
Because Bubba's not that popular, and being able to guarantee 1 kill isn't that big of a deal. Pointless to waste development time on this IMO.
-
Even back when DBD "only" had ~10k concurrent, and matchmaking was based on Steam download region, DBD never felt close to dead. I think it'll be fine.
-
Smart business move. Never cave to cancel culture.
-
DBD's matchmaking is extremely loose when it comes to populating lobbies, so the notion of "low" or "high" MMR is mostly nonexistent outside of fresh accounts playing their first games.
-
You can play vs bots in custom games. They're extremely bad, though, but perhaps BHVR will buff them in the future.
-
How do I get matched against survivors who somehow repair no gens in over 2 minutes?
-
IMO they should give the gens a visual effect showing it'll erupt, and change it to only preventing you from repairing gens that were Erupted in the last 25 seconds instead of giving you Incapacitated status.
Personally, playing against it doesn't particularly bother me, it's just boring to not be able to do anything (with some exception) for 25 seconds.
-
Doesn't seem all that rare to me. Nearly every 1v2 I get as killer ends with me having to hunt down a rat hiding somewhere doing nothing. Fortunately I run Whispers nearly all the time so it's not a big deal.
-
I just let the killer kill me and move on. Only reason not to is if you're petty or have a ritual/challenge you're trying to complete. As killer I run Whispers so I usually find the 4th while the 3rd is dying on the hook, hilarious how many of these people who hide will just DC when you down them.
-
While it could be more consumer friendly, I'll gladly take DBD's monetization model over Fortnite's FOMO nonsense.
-
If so many killers are actually using Eruption and No Where to Hide then I'd recommend using Rookie Spirit and Distortion if you have them. RS will be countered by blindness, but that's an uncommon debuff in my experience. RS will show you any regressing gen once you get stacks, so you can remember which ones were regressing between each down and avoid Eruption.
-
Why would this "event" cause anyone to play differently? Snowmen are worthless outside of hiding, and hiding in them rarely ever works.
-
Killrushing is countered by genrushing.
-
I find him boring to play against, but I'm enjoying playing as him. I wish instead of having so many addons focused on the individual Guards he instead had more addons changing the effectiveness of all Guards. Like an addon that increases their FoV, and more tiers of increased patrol/hunt durations.
-
When I've tracked it it takes me 70-80 hours to complete Rifts by doing all/most challenges if there's no bonus XP/Fragment events or extra Tomes.
-
This is partly why they've added the Tome. Most survivor challenges don't involve gens, thus incentivizing them to get off gen to complete the challenge.
-
In the age of participation trophies, actually trying to win at something is uncool.
-
Did an eceleb make a rant video about Eruption recently or something? Past week there's been tons of threads screeching about it.
-
Have they released new stats on solos escape rate recently? Really doesn't feel all that different than before big update.

Except that such games as Nurse are no edge cases. Once you picked up Nurse you will win against the majority of Survivors you encounter and it is not that hard to learn her.
Even myself, who is not that good with her, win way more games than I lose as her. And I play without Slowdown and without Add Ons. If I would add in those I would probably win even more. As a complete average Nurse player.
Much like sweaty 4man SWF, barely anyone plays Nurse, thus she is not a problem worth addressing.
-
A game with no reconnect feature should not have a leaver penalty. In what world is being blocked from requeuing for 5+ minutes preferable to just losing a match?
-
Well they buffed camping and tunneling while nerfing repairing and healing. All around terrible update that will probably kill the game.
It's clear what the devs think is fun (sitting on gens) is not what the playerbase thinks is fun (chases).
-
Optimal play is for survivors to do gens, not waste time hoping the killer's dumb enough to chase you on your terms.
-
You'd need him to play customs vs a sweaty SWF for a ton of matches to really prove anything.
-
I've not bought her yet, but playing vs her has been pretty boring on most tiles.
-
I've always seen it as bad sportsmanship to say gg as the winner if the loser hasn't said it yet, especially if the match was a stomp.
-
Grind's fine, stop prestiging and unlocking all the garbage unlockables if you hate grinding.
-
Takes too long to pick up and hook people tbh. I almost always slug if I know where another survivor is after downing someone.
-
Depends where they are. A boon totem on the second floor of Ironworks is much stronger than one in an empty corner of the map.
-
I love when I run to a door and another survivor stops at 99% and I just open in the second they step away lol. 99ing is a boring strat for boring people. Stop being a sweatlord and spice things up!

Turn off cross-platform and you'll say different.
I'm on Steam, turned off crossplay, still got infinite loads.
-
"You" only gets censored if it's next to some other word that triggers the blacklist. I can't tell if people are willfully lying about these things, or if it literally didn't occur to them to just type the word by itself after seeing it get censored in a sentence.
-
Rifts are pretty much always low-effort junk, but without fail I see numerous people wearing charms/skins the first week that they had to have paid for the levels to get, so why should BHVR put any effort into the rewards? Put low-effort stuff in the Rift, whales pay $10 for the pass and $1 per level, then put the better stuff straight in the store and the whales buy them at full price.
-
I can understand why people taunting you can be frustrating. I don't think other people's advice of just not going to the exit gate is good, though. I think killing them with kindness is the best approach to these kinds of players. Go over and usher the survivors out the exit and then say GG in the post-game. If they trash talk you just say something like "Yeah you guys played really well!" With that you've pretty much killed the entire reason they do what they do.
Now, what leads to someone going out of their way to try and demoralize a random stranger in a videogame is anyone's guess. I can't imagine these kinds of players have much going on for them IRL, so kind of playing into it by going over and letting them show you how good they are for sitting by the safety of the exit may actually make their life a little brighter.

I never said I want them to play the way I want them to or that stupid Survivors Guild for Killers Meme. I just want as a Survivor is for there to be fair games which I do see from time to time but not often also its called common sense to play a game fair I don't care that I get killed I just want to be able to do at least something if I lost the match and it was fair then I move on if it was a piss poor game then bet it gets under my skin especially because of how I was taught to play the game for both sides of the game
How is it unfair to survivors? Of course by "trash" we all know you mean "don't play how I want." but to call a player trash implies they're not good, which would mean the games are unfair for the killers, not unfair for survivors.
-
People really hoarding Gateaus because they're scared of losing? Use them as you get them and you won't have anxiety over "wasting" them.
-
Let me guess, you lose to these "trash" players quite regularly don't you?
-
It wouldn't matter if it was 1 map out of 100, it's still a terribly designed map for DBD's gameplay. A map being nice looking is great and all, but there's a reason classic multiplayer maps are classics, and it's not how beautiful they are.
-
Did they fix the IW bugs with other noises?
-
The notion that competition inherently improves things is a fallacy. Plus, DBD has competition, it's just not good.
-
The proper solution to this IMO would be that leaving a match doesn't instantly make you die (or instantly end the match in the case of killer DCs) and just leaves your character idle so that others can still interact with it. Also, after leaving a match, a player should only be offered to rejoin the match they left until it has concluded, after which they receive the leaver penalty before they can rejoin queue. To prevent potential abuse maybe put a cap where once the match hits 20 minutes any idle characters are fully kicked from the match.
-
Bragging about DCing because things didn't go your way? Gonna be a yikes from me, dawg.
-
BHVR only said there was some sort of autoban system in the works and naturally everyone being totally reasonable and rational immediately concluded everyone will be banned because they triggered someone and got reported.
-
Kind of funny when it turns an otherwise harmless comment into something nasty because of the # replacing words.
-
Can't wait to have people spamming useless nonsense like every other game that has pre-written comm systems. What will the "Need a dispenser here!" of DBD be?
-
I do think 3 tokens for instadown is too low, particularly now that hex: undying is a thing. Should also probably be at least 32m from hook.

When the events are over. Everyone, like you, is playing killer for BP and hoarding cakes.
How is it hoarding if you literally can't use the cakes if you want too lol
