I used to play mostly solo q and now I have people to play with and it makes it better. The amount of times I've been crapped on by my teammates for no reason is unreal considering the game requires teamwork to escape and get gates.
Also, some killers are just insane (Nurse, Blight) like we needs changes to those killers.
I have thought about buffs and nerfs in game for example (if the killer has gotten 3 or more hooks before gens then survivors get gen speed and haste in chase) this would only be for so long and ONLY if the killer is really stomping. If the survivors have done 2 gens before the killer has got a hook then the killer receives a buff in chase. I feel this would help because if survivors are struggling they can get help and if the killer is struggling then they get help. So if a killer is facing a "sweat Squad" it's not just gens done gg ez lol.

Can't help but feel this being worse because maps are becoming smaller and smaller :/

Title. I have almost 2k hours in this game and my experience over the past couple of weeks has driven me very close to quitting.
I'm a killer main, and until recently won around 80-90% of my games, despite the fact the game (and devs) naturally favors survivors.
However as of recent, I'm running into EXTREMELY sweaty matches every single game. The survivors I'm going up against are P100 squads almost every single time I load into a lobby, and they play like literal gods every match. I'm talking the best of the best survivors who are ridiculously good at the game, all have exactly the perks they need when they need them, guess correctly on every single mindgame, make the correct macro decisions depending upon what my killer can do, etc.
It's just very frustrating to go from winning a nice amount of games and sometimes going up against a sweaty squad to going against a sweaty squad every single game. Either I get a 2-3k after a long slog of a match or I can't even hook anyone. That is the variety I get now as a killer.
The reasons this is not fair are obvious. For one, the game is extremely survivor sided. Nobody would dare argue against something as obvious as that. However, more importantly, and perhaps less obviously, it feels MUCH worse to lose as killer than it does as survivor. As survivor you only share 1/4 of the blame for losing, and so can easily deflect and mentally relax. Just go next. On top of this, survivor gameplay is much more relaxed and less skill-oriented. 3/4 of the game will usually be spent holding m1 or w. Meanwhile killers have to mindgame and macro to perfection from the start of the game to the end of the game at high MMR. If you lose, you have to watch 4 people gang up on you, so the pressure is higher. You were more involved in the gameplay from the start, and only have yourself to blame for losing, so it feels much worse. However, this isn't logical. The game is to blame for a large amount of losses in high MMR, since it's mathematically impossible for killers to win vs perfect survivors. It's, as they say, asymmetrical.
MMR is punishing Killers much harder than it is survivors. If you're unlucky like me, you're going to find sweat lords every match because the cap has been raised, meaning you won't be matched vs casuals any more.
I can no longer run my fun anti-heal loadouts because the survivors just bash gens and don't heal, running early with w as soon as they hear my TR. I can't run my fun chase builds because gens are so fast that no gen defense means a loss.
This is the worst experience I've had in DBD for years, and it's sadenning to see that BHVR plans only to make killers have an even harder time in future when we're already the underdogs.
Please, for the love of everything, save this game for me. Just let it be a party game and put me vs every kind of player. I want to mess around with newbies sometimes; I want to have some tough battles sometimes; I want to get stomped by perfect survivors sometimes. I don't want to get stomped 70% of the time, and struggle to barely draw the match the other 30%.
Whenever I play survivor I run the killer ungodly amounts of time with ease and escape pretty much whenever I want to if I try. Survivor is pathetically easy anyway, and you somehow made it even easier. Killer is the harder role, so if anything they should have a natural advantage.
Fix your game before you lose all your killer mains and survivors have nobody left to tbag.
"I win 80 to 90% of my games"
"The game favours survivors"
Which one is it? Cause thats a contradiction.

I have not lost all those games, its not about win or loose. Its about experience. And this experience when it happens once in 10 games is manageable, but not in every single game.
This is the issue thought, its not once in a few games its like nearly every game.
The best advice I have is if you're not enjoying the game take a break. I was getting to the point where I wasn't enjoying my matches so I've taken a break and playing different games.

What else do you want people to do?
Between the Devs nerfing every viable survivor perk in sight and killers non stop crying and throwing hissy fits about any thing that is half way decent, this is the end result.
"PRETTY GOOD JOB SO FAR"
I agree
Killers will hook and slug but surviviors are wrong for doing gens? There team mate will be tunneled off their first hook so gens need to be done!
I play solo q and NO ONE is bullying the killer or slamming gens, and I've got over 100 hours in game

Hello,
here are some things i want to put out here for you to consider reworking, because it makes every survivior life miserable - i spend in this game around 3-6 hours daily.
- Gen regression perks stacking - 4 of them is miserable to go against.
- Nurse is a problem when people do 1000/500 win streaks and keep going - she definitely need a rework, make her weaker because every game is a lost game against even semi decent nurse.
- Skull Merchant after rework is even stronger, let's you camp more gens, injure surviviors constantly. Even standing on a loop, locking survivior into position with drones make her getting injures easy - definitely needs a rework.
- Sloppy is too powerful on the right hands.
- 3 gen gaming is too powerful
- Blight has so many untouched addons for years, which make him really powerful
- Bubba can still be camping basements, just needs to be a little far away from the hook - if he reacts to person going for the unhook he can down survivior before the unhook.
- Legion with 2 yellow addons gets 5 hits every time he uses power
- Plague with thanatophobia is overly powerful - and if you clense her power is even stronger.
- Piramidhead is too powerful at tunneling with his cage and he can always easily predict caged survivior position.
- Trickster on low loops is too powerful - there is no counterplay to it and yet he is getting huge buff.
- Artist is too strong at closing loops, going towards another looping area almost always guarantee a free hit on survivior.
- Sadako is way too good at getting condempt now and when she comits to one person she is able to get a first kill really quickly with mori, which makes game impossible to lose most of the time.
- Knight power guarantee hits way to often - if survivior gets caught from guard there is literally nothing to do, with w-key killer will get to you within seconds.
- Xenomorph gets his power too easily - when he uses his power there is no counter play - you get hit through pallettes, windows, literally nothing to do - if you fake you get hit by m1.
- And most important thing - getting tunneled happens way to often, proxi-camping and waiting 10 seconds for endurance protection is too easy, tunneling out a survivior is way too strong and needs to be adressed. I always see blight/nurse with regression perks tunneling someone out (best killers in the game even do that to secure 4/5 gen win)
Killers life is getting too easy every patch we get, making baby killers kill-rate better and better. Skill doesn't matter anymore for killers.
Surviviors literally need to sit on separated gens all the time to even get a chance to win a game, literally gen rushing for the win which makes game boring and unsatysfying.
Yep.

There was for a while before MMR you wouldn't see tunneling and camping as frequently as you do now. You could hop on a match on either side and just have a chill match and you could enjoy every killer.
God those were the days. You could have a Nurse who got the 4k but then you could go against a Leigon or Pig and have a chill match.

Rules for who they want to play with as teammates. Things such as they only queue with Survivors who are running 4 Tier 3 perks, no meme builds, stuff like that. Ok, let the hate pour down!!!!!
That will never happen but I get it. Just love it when I load in with two no mither David's and one goes down in 10 seconds and then dc's 🙄 I do wish depipping was removed for solo q though.

What anti-loop? He does suffer from general killers issues. He doesn't have an anti - loop.
He can use his power to make pallets unsafe, and he can use his power at windows. You still need to think and plan when to use the power but that isn't a bad thing.
-
No, the killer has anti-loop and teleporting. They're fine.
-
No, but can you imagine his tape?
"You are here because you tbagged a killer who you ran for 5 gens and who had zero hooks. You must now find the key to your bear trap at the bottom of this jar of rusty razor blades, you have 15 seconds, gg ez"
😂😂
-
It depends, if I go down at the start of the game and 1 or 2 gens pop, I stay. If I've run the killer for a couple minutes and my team aren't doing anything productive I move on because all that will happen is two survivors left, I try and do a gen and the other survivor will bring to killer over to try and get a pity escape so 🤷🏼♀️

Hey, I've added you on PSN, I've played the game since 2018 and I'm no rank 1 survivor but I do gens and try my best. I mostly play solo q so I want to join a swf I can plays with regularly. I'm on UK time too :)

Not coming back to tunnel, coming back because we know that instead of doing the obvious thing, you'll just heal right there. That's not tunneling anyway, but that's not the point.
Since you know killers always come back there, why stay?
If survivors heal then they're not doing gens so wouldn't it be most optimal to go to the gen being worked on. Also 9 times out of 10 I try and get away from hook but sometimes the other survivor just leaves, I don't use self care so then I'm stuck injured if I've already used my med kit
-
Yeh, i've not had a great time on this game lately. I'm playing with my friend while she has time until she has her baby then im probably going to stop playing all together.
All i get in games is; load in, first survivor chased, then hooked, then the survivor is unhooked and killer comes straight back to the hook to tunnel them (bearing in mind we've probs done one gen if that).
I don't expect to escape every game but its so boring now as killers sweat like their life depends on them getting the 4K and so because of that survivors have to try and rush gens which just creates a boring situation.
But yeh as Matt famously said "Go play something else" so yeh...
-
Dead island is a zombie game, you can play solo or co-op with friends.
-
Trying to 4% ALL. THE. TIME, I didn't know it sends you to second stage and i was always dying really fast because of it 😂 obviously I don't do it now unless I'm not being unhooked at all and it's a last resort.
-
@Emeal said:
I strongly dislike the moment when your team-mates give up super easily instead of going down with a fight.
If you cant handle the heat, a Bot which probably plays better than you is willing to take the fight up if you cant.
And if you give up too much, Maybe its time to stop playing and take a breather.
Maybe it's their 5th match of being hooked and tunneled straight after being hooked (which is 90% of games now btw). I agree sometimes people give up too early but sometimes I get it. Sometimes you've ran the killer for a little bit and nothings been done and you lose patience. 🤷🏼♀️
-
I really don't like Skull Merchant, it's now EVERY match is a mess. She's just needs to go seriously.
-
Blight and Nurse are the two killers I hate most in this game. I would be all for a Blight nerf.
-
I like any killer that has fair counter play if you're skilled enough. Billy (he didn't need the nerf), Demo, Saduko, Plague, Pin Head, Huntress.
I hate Blight, a god nurse and Xenomorph is getting boring.
-
Cute outfits.
-
The only time I would tbag a killer is if they've been tunneling me 90% of the match and I've escaped. But if they've played fair and spread out their hooks then I respect it. You can play anyway you want but so can survivors. Ying and yang.
-
I normally let my condemned get about half way then get a tape but I've had a a couple times where I've been injured and she's just teleported everywhere I've gone and couldn't escape her 😅 just unlucky.

Yeh because playing killer is the "shooting fish in a barrel" game so they can enjoy going against SWF every match and long que times. :)))

It's almost like playing survivor is trash now and nobody wants to do it. What a shocker when you nerf all the survivor perks, barely nerf killer perks and give them tons of good stuff base kit.
THIS, THIS!
I literally see no point in playing solo survivor anymore. Games are so miserable im taking a long break. Im not saying killers didnt need a little buff but the survivor perks didnt need to be gutted. Also this update has only made more SWF groups so i guess thats fun for killers?
I think the devs need to look at slowdown perks and make DS 5 seconds again and also extend the hook time for survivors and it would be better but i think we know the devs are stubborn and and are happy as long as people are buying cosmetics.

It’s whatever about people saying they are leaving, but a 5 second endurance doesn’t address Camping and Tunneling.
I am not sure in what world they thought that killers can’t just wait it out the same way they have been doing now.
I do not blame survivors for wanting to leave the game. It is within their own right to do so.
5 seconds does nothing. The thing is i dont mind the extra gen times and the reduced exhaustion after hitting a survivor with an M1 attack IF they addressed the reason why DH and DS were used by payers. I think that the hook timer should be longer which would greatly help with the issue of camping and the base kit BT should be 7 seconds. But this is why people are leaving you can make all the changes you want and you will have people who dont like them so they leave.
In my personal opinion the game is actually in a terrible place when you realise how long its been around. Countless silly bugs that do reunion the gameplay. Being hit through windows when you are 2 metres away from them, being pulled back towards the killer with rubber banding, the mess when trying to join friends in a lobby and having the shut down the game many times because it kicks you out. Im not saying im a game developer that could code better but i do think when a game company's main game has been out for over 5 years they should have it in a lot better condition.
Myself personally i am not going to play solo q anymore, only in a squad. Its just so frustrating being sat on the hook or in chase and my team mates doing nothing the whole time. I just think to myself "Why did i boot up the game?" i genuinely believe that if another game company come along and realise something like DBD Behaviour are done and everyone will move to that game its already happening with Evil Dead.

Yeah I dont think the PTB will change much on release, probably the Endurance stacking and Overcharge are going to get toned down but the rest is going to be left as is. But if enough people complain over and over and over theyll have to listen, with the HUD worked and Killer mains have been crying their eyes out here since, well since forever, but the last year has been especially weepy, they eventually gave them the world.
P.D. I hope, as in a monkey paw karmic wish, Killer mains will have to face only SWFs after the patch because all Solos quit the game.
Well when solo q is so bad that's what will happen. People will either quit or join a swf or you'll have the third option where there is solo q but killers just stomp them and it just becomes like shooting fish in a barrel kind thing where its just too boring.
Either way, myself personally I'm giving up in solo q and only playing swf. People can hate all they want but my games are alot better and more fun. Even if I die sometimes, I know my team were doing something and not just sitting at the edge of the map waiting for the third survivor to die to get the hatch or the gate.
-
You do have some amazing moments and that's what keeps me playing but I have now decided I'm not touching soloque again. I'm only playing in a squad when I play survivor. I can't tell you how many times I've run the killer and people are just not doing the objective I actually find myself asking "why do I even boot up this game?" Its honestly alot more enjoyable playing in a team and even if I die I know that we were actually working towards something rather than trying to do a gen and getting ratted out and then the other survivor getting the hatch because they can pointed at you.

Literally I would LOVE THIS!

I want teammates to do gens. I can't tell you how many times I've gone down after a chase and seen people chilling at the edge of the map or doing a boon. Also people constantly healing against Leigon.

Man, this sounds so so familiar but I just can't place my finger on it...OH! I remembered, the entire M1 roster vs survivors who know how to loop with dead hard.
I don't use deadhead when I play survivor.
-
People say nurse is fair because of her skill ceiling but if people played against a god nurse for 20 straight matches they'd realise how busted the killer is. A killer that can basically ignore pallets and windows so the only counter is hope she messed up her blinks.
-
I started playing dbd when Oni and Yui were realised. After SBMM was realised my love for the game has drastically decreased. I mostly play survivor and a little bit of killer and I've just found it ends the same way and I've found that I've stopped having fun. Rather then keep complaining about the game I just decided to stop playing and at this moment in time I have no intention of returning.
If you have stopped enjoying the game the only thing I can suggest is to take a break or just quit it. The game is in a terrible state right now bugs and gameplay wise.

Right, "just play in a SWF duh" as a solution to the issues with solo queue. You don't see how that might signify that there's a massive balance (and fun) issue here? If one game mode is just superior to the other in every single way, you don't think that might be something that should be addressed by the devs instead of them keeping their heads in the sand?
People told me MMR would fix these issues with solo queue but it's actually worse than ever.
I've stopped playing dbd completely because of mmr.
-
The new mmr is actually dogshit. I went from playing matches with a few escapes and a few deaths (as survivor) now its just so bad. My teammates are not matched to the killers level and I just can't be bothered with this game anymore. What's the point of playing when every single match is literally the same.
-

On my tunnel list, pig is pretty high on it. Probably because she's easy to gen rush hence why she needs to tunnel in turn
She's easy to gen rush because majority tunnel. Instead of tunneling go pressure gens duh.
-
I think DS is a good perk but I'd like it to be more meaningful against genuine tunnelling. I think you should be able to heal while it's active but only heal. Touching a gen or totem should still disable it.
-
@DouubleYou said:
Why don't they balance the perk meta by making the weaker perks stronger and more viable, rather than strong perks weaker. Same with killers perks/ abilities.
They tried that before with Lucky Break but killer bitched about it so yh have DS instead lol.
-
If I get found first and run the killer for a long time and absolutely nothing has been done then I'll suicide on hook, I'm not sorry either. It will be a hatch match and the killer will likely slug and let the other survivor sell you out so might aswell get out early to another match.
If another survivor has been found first and they dc leaving us at 5 gens then I will try if my team can by time to do gens.
-
You'll find a majority of the time the pig will down a survivor, once the survivor is hooked the pig will then tunnel the survivor with a ticking trap. Tampered timer makes this worse.
-
If a killer camps and tunnels they CANNOT moan about bt, ds or unbreakable. If they are going to play to get the 4k then survivors are going to play to survivor. It's a ying and yang thing really. If you're a toxic killer it will breed toxic survivors, if you're a toxic survivor it will breed toxic killers.
-

It’s never happened to me before, but now I’ve experienced it 3 times this week. The killer is friendly. He nods, he spins, he swipes at the air - gives all indications that he wants to farm.
Survivors all crawl out of the woodwork and take hits - lots of points for killer. We start healing up, but never get to finish because he suddenly decides to down everyone. Seems within reason until the 3rd and 4th survivors go down. Long story short, we all die on 1st hook, depip, and get very few points. Killer runs around acting like a jack-donkey while we die.
Why does it seem that this is becoming a trend?
When the killer "farms" I always stay back and just do gens.
