  • I keep getting Midwich and Haddonfield, my least favourite maps πŸ™„

  • EU server, waiting to play as Trapper and having same issues.

Yes especially when your going from the lobby screen to the loading into a match screen, it's so loud 😩

  • Yeh Clown is insane right now and needs nerfing.

  • Nerf fog viles but Clown and Ghoul are fine?! Yeh k.

  • Yet another big fat BEHVIOUR fail

  • Could always do an event mode with 5 perks and see how people like it :)

I'm not surprised at all. But if you complain about something, it would be good to offer a solution. Not just "I hate you because you killed us". It sounds silly. I bet if you played killer it wouldn't even be an issue for you

It's not about the killer playing the killer role. I myself understand it's the role to kill the surviviors. However, when there is excessive tunneling, camping, slugging at 5 gens, humping survivors, slugging for the 4k, it's understandable that alot of players would not find that a fun experience.

If killers spreads hooks and keeps the game moving then that is totally fine from my perspective.

On the other end what else you expect them to do? It's efficient strat for kills. If killer ignores survivors, they ge genrush him and t-bag at the exit.

Im just saying don't be surprised if people find those strats annoying and dont want to engage with it. You are free to play how you want but dont then wonder why other people dont want to engage πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

  • Not surprising when the survivor side is miserable (unless you're a cracked 4man swf)

Killers want to slug, camp, tunnel and make matches a 3v1 quickly as possible and well you get long ques...enjoy.

  • I've seen more Haddonfield than Auto haven 😩

Doesn't promote interesting gameplay, doesn't allow either side to even remotely attempt any sort of outplay. All Kaneki does is use his power to IMMEDIATELY be upon you and there's nothing you can do to outplay or loop or prevent yourself from immediately dying. He has too short of a cooldown, too much map mobility, is not outplayed by windows OR pallets OR distance. Decrease his lunge distance, remove his ability to place mend survivors, decrease his speed to 110%, make the time frame where he cannot take action after a lunge longer and for the love of all that is holy, increase his power cooldown to actually make a difference.

    YES!!!!!

  • Nothing wrong with crows now. If your spending ages looking for the last survivor just hook the one on the ground and move the game on.

Or do you mean the perk "No Way Out"?

FYI, the killer receives a notification when a survivor attempts to open the gates for the first time, and it wouldn't be unreasonable for them to come over there and search around for a survivor trying to be stealthy.

Yep "No Way Out" sorry, I was mixed up πŸ˜…, and yeh i tried to be stealthy but obviously with crows I couldn't be. But going back to my point, at end game with No Way Out, what can I do? I think crows need toning down.

That's why Behavior's upcoming anti-tunnel needs to actually address hard tunneling a single person from the start of the match. I hope this is the case and it isn't some lazy nonsense like "survivors will receive a 1% repair speed bonus if the same survivor is hooked twice in a row".

Going by their past updates I genuinely dont think what they implement will actually help, it will most likely push more players away from the survivor role.

If you don't enjoy the game beg the other side plays to win, odds are you are not going to like the next game. The DC penalty also serves to discourage DCing since a bot makes the game unfun for the remaining 4 players.

Hackers are rare enough that they shouldn't contribute to your DC penalty being highly unless you DC a bunch anyway.

Myself personally, I rarely ever DC ill always try and see a match out unless my team are literally doing NOTHING when I've run the killer for a good minute or two.

  • @VibranToucan said:

"the New hook system, being forced to be kept in a sh***y match where there's slugging and camping, etc."

You are not forced to stay in the match, you can just DC.

Why should you have to eat a penalty because your sat on hook while teammates aren't doing anything and the killer thinks they've got money on the line if they dont win. If MMR was stricter then it wouldn't be so annoying. Also there are hackers to content with, I've had a game that was 30 minutes long because I couldn't leave, I couldn't be unhooked and I couldn't go next I was literally held hostage. There should be atleast 2 free DC's in a 24 hour window with the current state of the game.

  • I had a crow in one of my games while trying to power the gate while waiting out "no way out" and the killer came over because of the crows. But yeh fair update apparently πŸ™„πŸ˜’

edited because perk name was wrong

  • Yep, if there are two survivors left and one is on the floor the survivor on the floor should be able to pick themselves up and you shouldn't get crows.

  • Oh wow, the devs implement feature against going next and afk crows and it actually unfa

Yeah and dont forget Pyramid head. He can instadamage 4 survivor with one attack. Thats completely unfair for survivor.

Well he stands still when M2ing and he only takes one health state so if all 4 survivors are injured and standing in the perfect line the..sure..

  • Id argue that being able to down 3 survivors in one sweep is pretty BS but πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

it's really ignorant to say this when you take in mind everything BHVR has done and made camping, tunneling and slugging basically dead with all perks released to this day that counter them (and basic gameplay mechanics too).

At this point you just want them to give you absolutely no skill input way to counter these strats, and until they don't do that, you will act like they don't care about survivor role.

Classic example of behavior of spoiled players.

The spoiled players are killers who expect to 4k every single match and if they dont "UGH survivior sided!"

Im just sharing my experience and it's clearly not that far fetched and the BP incentive is always on survivior at this point.

I do not expect to escape every match but like I said its the quality of those matches that bother me. I jump on just wanting to earn some points and do some objectives but I'll be against a killer who's playing like it's a comp match with money on the line and my team are just trying to chill aswell.

I've raised my concerns which im able to do and alot of other survivor players state the same. Don't be surprised when more leave that role.

  • @RJoyYourJoy19 said:

Didn't BHVR themselves say in the past that you can't force people to play matches they don't wanna play? What has changed? There's a billion valid reasons why people hook suicide or DC, but now you're not allowed to do either.

Notice how it's almost always killer mains celebrating these changes? Allegedly they are meant to improve Solo Q, yet it's gonna make it far more miserable and a lot of survivors are speaking out against the DC penalty and go next prevention. What does BHVR think is gonna happen when they force survivors to play matches? They won't suddenly start enjoying them or start trying, they'll either quit the game or sandbag their team.

The new spawn logic, the rework of map offerings, the new AFK crows, the new mori system, the new way the DC penalty works, the new go next preventions and the fact that they even apply to SWFs where everyone can just agree to go next all send a clear message. You're not here to have fun, you're here to boost the killer's ego as they get their 100th 4k in a row. You WILL stay in a miserable match and you won't complain as you watch your random default Feng with level 2 perks getting tunneled out by a P100 quadruple regression Blight on Haddonfield.

This is genuinely the worst patch this game has ever gotten.

The devs really couldn't care about the survivor role at this point. I've played since Oni's release and I think im going to have to walk away from the game.

I play majority solo q and if I play 10 matches only 2 will actually be worth while where everyone's working towards the objective and my team aren't being completely steamrolled and tunneled at 5 gens. I've just simply had enough.

  • @Shirtless_Myers said:

This should surprise nobody. The devs cater to killers and genuinely treat the survivor role like straight garbage. There's never a reason to touch the game unless you enjoy playing Killer. Every patch has made it clearer how poorly balanced this game is and why I only bother with half of it unless I'm forced to touch Survivor for challenges.

If this weren't the case, they wouldn't offer a +400% bloodpoint bonus to survivors. Nobody wants to play a punching bag, and that's exactly how they're designed.

"Why are killer ques so long?"

Why do people think?!! It's not hard to see why.

  • I dunno, I can loss two matches as survivor and then MMR will put me against a 4k hour nurse main who nevers misses just to rub salt in the wound πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

  • @Rickprado said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/441408/mmr-be-like

I understand your sentiment but the problem are the queue times… if a killer wait too much for a lobby he will be matched with anyone available; so there will be times where your MMR won't matter at all to pair with a kilelr.

Hope that with the BP changes that are coming to survivor the imbalance of Survs and killers change a bit and make matches a little bit more fair.

Yeh, honestly though I'd rather wait a few minutes for a better quality game. If I play 2 games that are a stomp then I've wasted my time really :/

YYep This is normal. I've had every match where the teammates were unhelpful and sometimes even pointing to kill me even tho I didn't do anything to anybody

It's amazing how many times I've been the one to get the gens and then my teammate who spent the whole time farming the hook and doing boons wants to rat me out πŸ™„

  • Hmm I dunno, I lose two matches and MMR goes "oh, your matches are rough? Here's a 4k hour Nurse main, enjoy" like????

  • Killer should of just hooked the 3rd survivior and then tried to close hatch.

  • I keep having the same hacking Nurse and it's getting real tiring

  • I'm in EU and I'm seeing ALOT of cheaters. I've had the same Nurse like 5 times now in the past two weeks alone (yesterday had the same nurse twice)

We have bots so just remove DC penalty.

  • @AlchemysticWitch said:

Especially since they added bots. Now no-one wants to play survivor in 2v8. Killer queue times are 30+ minutes, and this affects the 1v4 queue times as well. This is the least amount of fun I've had in DbD ever.

I've played 2 matches of 2v8 and I won't play anymore. Implementing bots was a mistake and some killers just don't work in this mode (leigon, Blight, nurse). I will just play 4v1.

  • @rysm said:

I'm more concerned about the quality of my solo queue teammates. All of my matches have been terrible because of the actions and decisions taken by my own team

I've had the same, I've actually taken a break, I'm sick of it being a 5v1 situation 😫

    Genuine question here

Outside of losing the ability to "go next" which i believe is a problem in itself, what makes being slugged more boring to you then being on a hook?

    While on a hook:

    • You can't do anything
    • You rely on a teammate to come save you
    • Killers can tunnel you off the hook
    • Killers can proxy camp you
    • You take 210 seconds to completely die and move on to the next game if your teammates don't save you

    While slugged:

    • You actually CAN move around, albeit very slowly
    • You rely on a teammate to come save you.
    • The killer can tunnel you off of being picked up
    • Killers can camp you
    • You take 240 seconds to completely die and move on to the next game if your teammates don't save you.

The main differences i see here are.

    • While on a hook, you can do nothing, but while slugged, you can still move around
    • It takes 30 seconds longer to die on the ground than on the hook.
    • Camping a slug is a bit stronger than camping a hook because you can't facecamp a hook, but you can "facecamp" a slug.
      • Camping slugs is rare though, usually its done when the timer is already near the end and you want to let them finish dying, the entire point of slugging is to save the time you would spend hooking to go chase another survivor, so camping the slug is a bit counterproductive there. If you are gonna camp the slug, you may as well hook then camp the hook.

So, OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T "GO NEXT" (which should be bannable IMO, but again, a different discussion entirely). What is so horrible about being slugged? You trade 30 seconds extra of bleedout for being able to move around, which is something i would take any day.

I think because with being hooked its absolutely expected. Where as with aggressive slugging it means that multiple people need to keep an eye on the situation.

If my teammate gets slugged and then my other teammate is being chased while injured I have to leave my objective to help out as I know that there is a timer on the bleed out and that it means multiple people are off objectives, I guess I just doesn't feel natural to the game flow.

If we talk about when all 4 survivors are on the ground then we're basically done. Unless someone has unbreakable there's 4 whole minutes where we can't do anything. Now I understand that 4 survivors can be hooked at the same time BUT in that case people can try for the kobe or go next (which in the particular situation is totally valid). Also in most cases killers bring knockout which means that I don't know where my team mate is slugged unless I have comms to get them so chances might be i can't even get them. And basically it just drags the game out rather than hooking.

Unfortunately, the curtain of 'I want to win' will veil anything said about it as the 'reason' to slug.

BHVR needs to intervene, and better than the AFC system. I've moved on from playing solo'Q to playing Satisfactory. Much more entertaining currently.

Yeh, I don't expect to win as survivor but my matches in the last 2 weeks have been absolutely miserable.

  • Slugging is the most boring and pointless way to play, the killer is stagnating the game. Just hook people and get BPS, I'd rather just get hooked and go next then slugging at 5 gens with killer that wants to waste everyone's time.

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3869089#Comment_3869089

Hate to sound cynical but I feel like the majority (or at least a significant portion) of the survivor playerbase are already done with the game.

That is, if the current DC/hook give up epidemic is anything to go by.

Yep, people defiantly have issues with certain gameplay. I myself am feeling VERY burned out at the moment so much that I'm actually taking a break from the game and I've realised I'm not enjoying it so decided to play something else.

  • Yeh it's GGs if they do that. Majority of the survivor playerbase will be done at that point (including myself)

  • I play solo q and I always try and do gens and will go for rescues BUT I do try and prioritise gens as my teammates tend to be on the over alteristic side.

If you were to ask about escapes through gates then it's very low. If you were to ask about hatch escapes then it's a bit higher but overall majority of my matches devolve into someone Dcing on hook which throws everything.

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3866200#Comment_3866200

Frankly if majority of matches you play you don't enjoy, then play something else. Forcing yourself to play a game you clearly aren't enjoying is not a good use of time.

I agree with your sentiment and I have played dbd less and if my matches aren't fun then I do play something else. I still think people can feedback their frustrations though.

  • People work and have commitments, when they have time to play they don't want to spend it in miserable pointless matches. I'm not one to normally DC (I will try my best to get through a match) but if it's a killer with a full slugging build or Blight/Nurse with a full gen slowdown build i just wanna take my L and quickly move on.

I find that out of 5 matches I play normally 1-2 are actually worth while where everyone tried to do the objective and actually played otherwise it's normally killer slugging or tunneling really early or another survivor went next on hook.

  • @I_CAME said:

Gens need to go back to 80 seconds with how strong the average killer is now. My understanding was that they did this partially so people wouldn't feel pressured into running full gen slowdown builds. If this was the goal then they utterly failed since people are running MORE slowdown despite killers being much stronger than they were. New killers are either A tier or are buffed into the A tier at some point. If extremely strong chase killers like Hillbilly and the new Singularity are going to be the standard for killer reworks then why do we need such long generators? People are going to run full gen slowdown regardless of how long the gens take because it will always be the easiest way to win. The way maps are being designed now is yet another reason to make gens shorter.

Gens could take 5 minutes each and killers would still bring gen slowdown.

  • First, Nurse, i don't care if she takes ages to learn, I don't care if it's the only thing to combat a small group of OP groups I CANNOT stand her and I wish she was deleted from the game. Like tell me why she can ignore every rule of the game just because she's kinda hard? 🫠

Second, killers that go over the top when they have already won. Listen, I don't care that I die BUT when they slug and tunnel at 5 gens then they need to chill. Now if survivors are being egregious with flashlights and silly plays then fair enough. But I play solo q and just try and do gens and killers will hump, leave slugs and not hook. Like if your winning then just hook and let's all go next.

Third, bugs, the amount of bugs in this game is INSANE! It's a game that's been around now over 7 years, get a team on it and sort it!

Fourth, rats. I play solo q and do my best to get gens and help my team. When I go for a rescue I try and do it safely as possible (for the sake of the unhooked teammate). So when people rat me out for no reason I become annoyed and think to myself "I should of left you to die on hook"

  • @LordGlint said:

Why is someone waiting 15 minutes for a game? Are the queues to play as survivor SO packed full when the experience is apparently just horrible every match?

Nope, it's because there are 4 slots to fill and if there are less surviviors it's going to take more time to fill them.

  • I play solo q survivor and I am so burned out. I feel that the killers are competent but my team aren't. And also killers are just going overboard when their winning. Like yes I know your beating our buts you don't have to hump me on the ground and tunnel πŸ™„πŸ™„

And you might say "well if your on the ground your team should be doing gens" nope I've got people sitting in the corner, I've got someone else doing a seance in the basement. Oh and don't forget about the thrill build so like after 3 minutes the killer has devour and pretty much ends the game.

But yeh I'm sure a lot of people are getting tired of survivor tbh, including myself.

  • Ah, I would be my slots are taken up by anti tunnel and anti slug perks cause yano, i was told "if you dont like the killer slugging or tunneling bring the perks" πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

  • There are like two maps with gates you can maybe go for the rest of the maps the killer doesn't even need to move to see both gates with the lights.
