Sure why not

I probably agree with you. But next time making a post like this, please just post a summary of your ideas like this in the end so you can fast read and get a quick understanding:
1.
2.
3.

Yes please. This would also make the solo gameplay more fun and dynamic. Sometimes it doesn't fully feel like you are playing with teammates, because gameplay is quite restrictive of how you play with solo q teammates if you want to win.

As an update on this, there's a widespread outage currently affecting online services on PC. We'll continue to monitor the situation while we wait for a resolution. Thanks for your patience!
Very much off topic, but in the first community stream, the hosts were talking about how we're going to get a new way of reporting bugs and see the status on bugs? Are you able to say if we're going to get more info on that soon?

Please keep sharing screenshots here in this thread; we really appreciate it.
Like you said during the PTB, and yet we still somehow ended up with this result? I'm not blaming you personally, I'm just honestly baffled at how badly the devs handled it.
I guess it's the devs that keeps misinterpreting the community feedback you bring them. The overwhelming majority of players who gave feedback were saying the changes should mostly be reverted, not massively nerfed.

Yes please

I would prefer just showing the 4 closest survivors to a caged survivor instead of everyone's aura. Mainly just because I feel like it would look too messy. And also that the 4 survivors are more relevant to show.

They mean the nerfs to Shadow class I guess.
Wasn't that the previous iteration?

I want to know this as well. Someone please answer this one.

You say that about haste, but aura reading is pretty common as well when there is so much of it in 2v8, so maybe turn it into thwack where they scream as well to make it funny?
I did have THWACK! in mind when coming up with this idea. I was hesitating about including screams. But you're right, thank you!

Yes please

Fun idea actually

Alright why not

No buffs unfortunately

Hope you'll get this soon!

Agreed, but also: let us expand the sorting options instead of having to keep clicking until you get the desired filter.

Same issue. Contacted support. Their help was basically this (this is in the correct order btw):
- Asking me to check the Spam, Junk and Promotions folders.
- Recommending whitelisting these email addresses and domains: amazonses.com, [email protected] and [email protected]
- Asking me to check the Communication Preferences and make sure all the necessary options are checked.
- Recommending me to keep an eye on upcoming promotions.
This was all they could do they said. They also let me know they can't resend past promotions. So don't expect to receive the Halloween newsletter unfortunetely.
- I already checked the folders before contacting support.
- How is whitelisting going to help if I never received an email from other promotions in the first place? Their "filtered or delayed by your email provider" argument is not holding up, because how would that be the case if no email went to those folders or never got sent even though past promotions had possible delay?
- I already had the Communication Preferences checked long before contacting support.
- I've already kept an eye on upcoming promotions for a long time now without getting promotional emails.

A killer based on trippy, psychedelic effects would be really cool. I think adding vision or sound distortions to Krasue specifically might be overkill, it risks power creep, makes her kit more complex, and could confuse newer players. Plus, it would limit ideas for future killer concepts.
But a killer built entirely around that kind of sensory chaos? I’d love that. Imagine interactions with strange artifacts, plants, liquids, or warped mirrors, just some genuinely weird, mind-bending stuff. That’s the kind of concept that could feel fresh and fun.

@Emeal said:
Yes. I want different types too!
- Smoll Generators that finish faster.
- Heavy Generators that finish slower.
- Old Generators that make alot more noise and more skillchecks.
- Generators which need a part to finish, (try to repair it, shows aura locker has the part missing to complete.)
- Evil generators which gives the Killer Instinct once you finish half way, also failing skill-check injures you.
- Linked Generator, Regressing this generator sends 50% of progress lost to a different generator, then starts regressing it.
- Glitch Generator, finishing 25% of this generator makes it disappear and reappear some other place in the map.
- Warped Generator, finishing this extra long generator send 25% progress to another trial's gen, then starts regressing it.
- The Meg-arator, Leaving this generator reduces progress by 10% but gives the survivor gains 150% haste for 3 sec.
- Its a Bomb! Generator, finishing this generator injures all survivors in range around the generator.
Okay, the brain is all dry now.
Still wish we got something like this. Really would make survivor gameplay more interesting when you're not being chased.

Am I the only one who doesn’t approve of a map ban system? Personally, I like when the game decides where we play, because it keeps things fresh and adds that surprise factor, just like not knowing which killer I’ll face until the match starts.
The "bad map" argument doesn’t really hold up either. If a map feels unbalanced or unfun, the better solution is to give feedback through surveys/feedback posts so the devs can improve it for everyone, instead of just letting players skip certain maps. A ban system would only hide the problem instead of fixing it.
-
I agree about the icon suggestion. But also, let people 99% and still keep the auto-recovering. It doesn't make sense to visually change how the 99% bar looks. They could've added auto-recovering without visually changing anything.
-
Yeah it makes no sense why Artist doesn't have a sound for that.

with things like MMR that's a lot more difficult to share, as there's different algorithms and the dreaded maths to take into account, so there's no current plans. I can say that we have had focus groups of players involved in the design process here though and got their feedback directly.
Oh no about MMR I get it. But for like other stuff? I think the community would really appreciate it.
That way you could save time and avoid going deep into development with something where the majority would dislike it in the end. Working this game forward with efficiency and time-saving efforts would do this game wonders I feel like.
-
@Mandy said:
We are working on changes to MMR - which will then help with matchmaking. It's something that's currently being worked on, and naturally it's going to be a pretty big implementation given that MMR affects every part of the game, so it's definitely not something we can just rush out.
Matchmaking is currently working as intended, players are matched within a few points of their actual MMR score - I think the frustrations that some people feel are down to the MMR itself.
Have the people at BHVR ever considered being more transparent and get the community more involved in development? Like Trickster & SM Design Preview on Reddit but more in-depth.
You could let us share feedback on multiple different versions (could be very early prototypes and stuff you're unsure about) let you know which one we feel like sounds/looks the best.
-
I agree with every request!

@kit_mason said:
Given they spent time making this killer, they presumably designed her with an inbuilt, intended counterplay strategy for her kit. As the community has failed to find anything close to suggest the intended counterplay actually exists, could we get an explanation from the team as to what we're actually meant to be doing?
Wrong section

I'm so tired of every big update instantly needing hotfixes. I just wish the devs would stop making dumb choices and think things through first.
-
Nah, I think this would be more interesting:
1. Direct hits - Leech 1
Incentivising attempting the harder shots by rewarding good shots. This would allow Krasue players to decide how they want to approach a situation, a sometimes risky attempt to reach Leech 1 right away by attempting a direct hit, or go for a bounce hit if you want to play a little safer.
2. Bounce hits - 1/2 Leech 1
2 successful bounce hit attempts in order to reach Leech 1. This is to prevent the overly predictable 'bounce to head playstyle', and allow for more interaction between the survivor and the Krasue.
3. Missed hits - Slightly longer cooldown before another hit attempt
Like the PH treatment when they removed the spammable hits. This would increase skill expression and incentivise concentrating on get a successful hit, knowing that there is a bigger punishment to missing.
-
Do you mind showing the Bardic Inspiration change? I wasn't aware of that.
-
The devs’ answer to this question in the last Reddit AMA…
Sometimes they actually listen, but other times they’re just so damn stubborn about certain things and ignore what the players are asking for.
-
You could definitely have this feature in 1v4 too, but I wanted to focus on 2v8 because I think it’s extra useful there.
- In 2v8 you’re not just picking for yourself, you’re also thinking about how your killer works with your teammate. Tags would make it easier to quickly understand what role each killer has and who you might want to pair with.
- It’s also a really casual-friendly mode. A lot of newer players and even experienced ones who just don’t want the same stress 1v4 gives. Tags would help those players figure out what each killer does without having to memorize every power.
- And since people often try out killers in 2v8 that they don’t normally use, it could also help with deciding which killers to unlock or buy later.

Your post actually gave me an idea for how one part of a future tutorial update could look, like showing the tile names, what they look like, and short clips on looping them. It could fit nicely in an 'advanced' tutorial section.
-
I really like the class system, but what I also appreciate about 2v8 is how alive the maps feel. You’re always seeing teammates running around or interacting with stuff, and having two killers makes it extra exciting. You can never get too comfortable since you might get surprise attacked. Not just by stealth killers, but even regular ones running the shadow class.
-
Yeah, your two ideas make sense. I agree, the current in-game options are solid and feel good, but adding a few more wouldn’t hurt. Sometimes matches drag because of stuff like this, so it could save time.
-
Agreed. Have nothing more to say.

I figured bug reports via the official form on the support site worked better, but I'm unsure if that's also the proper place for PTB bugs. The backup files probably have some wonky additional information involved involving personal information (probably IP or something) which is why the full folder is only sent to support.
Yeah you're right about that. But for regular game bugs, I think the support site is much better. I think the confirmation is also a big reason why I like it so much.

Yes, I am aware that it is a comment for a seperate bug. The point of that mention is not "I'm going to link to another comment in another thread so the mods have to look through it to do their job," it is intended to show that I do have access to the logs and can submit them, but I need further information on if they would help. The logs are for the last 10 matches, of which the match that is supposed to occur with the Knight is the third to last match that would be in those logs if it loaded, but the match never loaded, so does that match that never loaded (therefore, did not occur) count towards the last 10 matches?
edit to tl;dr: basically im trying to confirm im not sending useless information
I said this in a post:
Bug reports work better on the support site than the forums. On the forums they usually only ask for that one file, but on the support site they want every file in the folder.
You fill out a quick automated form, then a support agent replies, sometimes within hours or a couple of days.
The nice part is they always confirm by thanking you, repeating your report details, and letting you know they’ll look into it. Unlike the forums, you know for sure your report has been seen.
So basically it's better to report bugs on the support site instead of the forums.
About the "logs are for the last 10 matches" thing: on the support site, you send all the files in that folder, not just one like you do here on the forums.
That folder includes the backup log files, so it keeps track of older stuff if the DeadByDaylight.log file alone isn’t giving them what they need. Here on the forums, they only ask for the DeadByDaylight.log file.
I’m not sure why, maybe it wouldn’t be good to let others have access to the backup files for some reason.

The logs for this is in this thread, so its not a matter of me not being able to send the log, it's a matter of confirming if this bug would appear in the logs if the match never loads because the logs are for your last 10 matches. You're not a moderator, so there's no need to act like this on multiple threads.
That's a separate bug tho? It's not like they always keep track if it's the same person writing on multiple posts (even if they did, you would still be required to send it here also). They are looking at that specific bug when looking at the log, not at this. So sending the log here as well is the only way.
I'm not acting like mod just because I feel like it. But there's many people in this bug report section who are making the whole report process much slower and more complicated than it has to be.

I don't even know if the bug would show up in the log because these matches never loaded.
I think you should just follow their request. If there would be no point in sending the log, they wouldn't ask for it.

I'm unable to find a friend to reproduce the issue again today, sorry. I would do it alone but bots do not use the perk while in front of the killer so the help of someone else is needed to recreate the issue.
A similar issue happened during chucky's ptb where survivors using the perk any means necessary would prevent chucky from scampering under the pallet, the issue was fixed in release so it's safe to assume that the issue is not intended on Krasue, anyhow only the devs know if it's intended or not so reporting it can only help them be aware of it in case its not.
A mod have requested logs from you:
"Could you please attach the logs? Be sure they are taken right after encountering the issue.
To find them:
- Press the Windows Key + R to open the "Run" command.
- In the text box paste the following: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
- Click "OK" - this will open your Dead by Daylight Logs folder.
- If it does not open the Dead by Daylight Logs folder, it may mean that when installing Dead by Daylight you chose to save your files somewhere else and will need to check there.
- The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file
Thank you."

It's not just the consoles left out, who are by far the majority of the playerbase, but also Windows and Epic too. Stadia couldn't use it either while that existed.
Both DayZ and Minecraft have separate "Experimental" versions on Xbox, and I imagine the PlayStations have something similar, so it's possible but requires work.
I totally forgot about PTBs exclusively only working on Steam. Kinda crazy actually. But wouldn't it work as like a LTM? I thought it sounded like a cool idea and a possible solution to this issue.
-
@Foggyguy said:
It's not really possible. Microsoft and Sony from my understanding have a massive approval process for pushing stuff like updates which kinda defeats the purpose of a ptb which is to quickly test something you have ready before you push it to live.
Please take a look at a post I made regarding this. It might be a possible solution:
@Birken13 said:
Console players still can’t access the PTBs, and it’s a bigger issue than ever with these vital gameplay changes. So much feedback gets missed since console players are a big part of the community.
One Reddit user had a great idea (shoutout u/AgentDigits):
"I feel like they need to find a way to create some kind of in-game PTB mode so they can test stuff more regularly and get console users involved too. Some kind of LTM like 2v8 that lasts a week or so to get some quick feedback between major PTBs.
The current way that PTBs work is just terrible. They're too far apart and lots of feedback gets ignored. Plus the majority of players can't even get involved with it as they play on console."
I also agree that PTBs should be used more regularly to get quick feedback between major updates. The devs really need to address this.

Paulie Esther’s been sharing tweets from a Thai player who says it’s kind of like a mix between a dancing ghost and the krasue. So maybe it has three modes: normal, dancing ghost, and krasue? Either way, I’m super hyped.
-
Yeah I feel like they could have clarified and told us about the change along with the teaser. Just a small tweet saying "Just so everyone knows, we moved the PTB forward one day. So instead of September 2nd, it will be on September 3rd."
-
I don’t see the point of slapping Elusive onto every Survivor stealth perk. Elusive works best as an anti-tunnel mechanic, not something tacked onto everything. Giving every stealth perk Elusive would just feel lazy and redundant, and there is a reason these perks were not designed to stack every hiding status effect in the first place.
That said, I could definitely see some of those perks getting buffs, maybe even picking up another status effect to make them more viable. But Elusive does not feel like it naturally belongs on any of them.
