perception can be a tricky thing when playing with strangers. So I was just trying to figure out if somehow they felt like you were doing something wrong and wanted to punish you for it. I guess at the point they started trolling you they just gave up on the game and wanted to mess with you. It’s unfortunate the killer didn’t realize what was really going on. He probably assumed you weren’t being a team player and joined in on it.
I’ve been trolled for playing stealthy even though I was being efficient with gens, finding Hex totems, AND saving/healing. Were you being stealthy & trying to avoid barbecue? That doesn’t make what they did justifiable but if not then yea, it was just a straight troll session.
SWF troll usually don't need a reason to troll someone. They do it for the sake of it. Sometimes though they come up with the justification post factum in end-game chat just to add more salt to the feast, with something cliche like "you were hiding all game" (and finished 3 gens 4 unhooks and heals while doing so) or "you sandbagged us!" (without further elaboration). It's a huge mistake to look for "reasons" why SWFs do it, because this way you are trying to blame the victim here.
-
Notice how even in soloQ the main problems come from SWF
-
Set up killers are annoying to play against and are encouraged to camp hard by the game. It's one of a thousand game design mistakes of BHVR.
-
3, including one killer DC
-
I like how people start to rephrase their ideas so that it doesn't get moved to the abyss of Feedback and Suggestions, since it would be a guaranteed way to kill a thread.
-
They should at least make this ability togglable, so that I can become invisible for my teammates' aura reading at will. Or at least add the ability to make your last teammate instantly bleed out. Because this end-game trolling is out of hand in soloQ. Every time I want to play survivor I have to think again about whether I'm ready for something like this to happen all over again. We already have to hide from our teammates more often than from the killer, something must be done about it.
-
It is almost a bait, almost

Yall literally asked for this. We knew a new RPD would be crap, but people demanded a change anyway. Enjoy your change, people.
Brb gonna cry somewhere
What are you talking about? Nobody demanded a "change", everyone demanded this map to be deleted and forgotten for good, but it's still never happened.
-
Since Wesker is almost as strong as Blight, and does not require a fraction of skill Blight does, soon you will mostly see Weskers with no respite.

Get good at looping. His Power is useless at loops. If you just loop him, him making distance on you is worthless. Even if you're bad at looping, his Power is extremely easy to dodge.
Demogorgon has a quicker charge time and Shred is faster than Virulent Bound. Please don't spread misinformation in your odyssey to nerf every imaginable Killer because you're bad
Well, calling someone "bad" at the game just because they disagree with you is surely a constructive argument, you definitely changed my mind and proved your point.

How bad at Survivor can you be?
Wesker is an M1 Killer if you just dodge left or right while he's using his Bound. If you think Wesker is "op", then Demogorgon must be one of the best Killers in the game because Demogorgon is objectively a stronger Wesker
M1 killer who ignores the concept of distance with his long dashes, which don't require as much skill to use as Nurse's teleports.
Demogorgon can't dash as far and quick as Wesker.
-
This killer is OP and basically P2W. It's like Nurse, but weaker and doesn't require skill. I stopped playing survivor completely after his release, I'll play killer until they do something about this nonsense.
-
There is only one reason of tunneling: it gives the killer ez win. If they stop it from leading to ez wins for the killer, the problem would be solved without any additional effort to "punish" for it.
-
How is it different form when your salty teammate starts crawling towards you thus leading the killer to you? SoloQ is miserable and working with the killer this way is de facto not bannable, so what can you do.
-

I blame them. You know Nurse is exists and you know there is chance to get her. So if you are going to dc against her, then do not play the game. You have no rights to ruin game for others.
So if you like 95% of the game but dislike that rotten and broken 5% of the game, you should not play the game at all? Hmm, sound and coherent logic, no doubt. I guess whenever there is a bug you don't like, you also stop playing the game altogether until it is fixed?
-
Yes, the new OP killer who can freely charge and attack at the same time, basically ignoring the concept of distance, is surely survivor sided.
-
What do you mean? He is OP as hell. He can charge and attack freely, basically ignoring any distances.
-
Mistakes in game design should be fixed with patches and reworks, not with rubberband "perks"
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
Nope. We are allowed to bleed you out. The fact that you will eventually die is why. Hostage situations are more about not letting the game progress.
So if I block you in a corner, but for precisely 72 hours, according to this kind of logic it shouldn't be bannable too, right? It's not forever, after all, only for finite 72 hours, so it's not taking the game hostage by this definition.

Not true, because the other players all still need to wait X amount of time to find another match again. By pushing them to the top of the queue, it will offset the lost time already wasted with the early DC.
Only killer is affected by this, and only because their queue is inflated due to 6.1.0. Revert 6.1.0 or somehow make the game balanced again and your problem is solved.
-
They are licensed killers and this bug has probably already generated BHVR a ton of extra profit, even more pending as info about the bug spreads. So no, no killswitch for them.
-
We are just saving our time to be able to spend it on more fun a match.

Clown got killswitched for having Haste.
She needs to get killswitched.
Clown wasn't a licensed killer, so people wouldn't have generated such great an income for being able to abuse the bug. Onryo on the other hand is probably skyrocketing in sales as we speak.
-
Yeah, because if you accidentally get 3k instead of 4k it would mean the end of the world, you can by no means let that happen, can you?

Sadako can phase into a hooked survivors and entirely prevent a survivor from being unhooked since survivors will not get the prompts to unhook (because the Sadako player is blocking it). It's been an issue for awhile now (like since before the midchapter update, I believe) however nobody really used it until after the midchapter update.
For perspective, it's kind of like facecamping back in 2016, when survivors could only unhook from a single direction. There is literally no counterplay at all to it.
There is a counterplay! Just don't get caught! </killermainmode>

there just needs to be voice chat, if people can abuse voice chat through third party app, they sohuld do what other companies do and just implement it. its completely unfair on people who play the game the way its meant to be played
Firstly, people will have to turn it off anyway because of the shitshow it's going to become. Secondly, even in games with such a feature most people prefer not to use it for various reasons. It's better to lift soloQ using basekit perks and mechanics like giving more info in game.
-
@Yords said:
kindred base kit without killer aura reading is what needs to happen
Why without killer aura? SWF can tell each other where the killer went after hooking, so let the solos know this too.

If you hide in a corner and a billy/bubba traps you there then you also have no option then to be downed.
The counter to that is not to get in that situation in the first place.
There are counters, you're just writing everybody off who tells you them
I haven't heard a single counter against him other than "just don't get caught 4Head", or plainly telling me to spend several minutes running around the map checking every vault and pallet for traps instead of doing gens, basically "countering" him by throwing the game. I guess it's a pointless discussion, you just refuse to see the situation from the survivor's perspective, just telling "it's your fault anyway" on any argument. You basically can justify any killer with this rhetoric, just repeating "The counter to that is not to get in that situation in the first place" against every complaint. You can defend old Spirit and old Legion with this, you can even defend the old 2016 facecamping by just saying "it's your fault you got caught". It's not a constructive discussion at this point.

I get where you're coming from, but there's no one right way to play the game to begin with. The devs have stated as much by saying DBD is more akin to a party game than a competitive e-sport.
To some, rift challenges are more fun than "playing the game."
Oh, this is why they released MMR and ban for disconnects? Because it's just a party game? Now it all makes sense!

Just give the Trapper player his due.He set his trap in the right place to catch you, simple as that. Why not just play a game where you don’t have to play against people who actually have a strategy and are trying to win like you are?Survivors keep saying killers aren’t entitled to 4ks,guess what survivors are not entitled to escape.
If you can't counter it - it's not fair. As simple as that. As a sole player in soloQ I have no correct moves to avoid a trap while in chase if it's placed near the only vault/palled in vicinity. So I'm put in a hopeless position where I have no option other than be downed, one way or another, with no possible counterplay. This is unfair, and the traps being so sudden to that are annoying.

What are you even on about? I have seen 100+ escape streaks of streamers as well. Lmao stop viewing these things in such a biased way.
Not to mention the streamers you are talking about, that went on 50+ or 100+ kill streaks, are still sometimes losing matches, even after the patch. Because guess what, the game isn't actually that killer sided at all. Camping and tunneling just need to be addressed, because they are too effective for the little skill required, and for how unfun they are to go against. Tunneling is being addressed, now hopefully they will nerf camping as well in some adequate way, and the game will be in a good state.
I believe I even remember Otz saying that the kill streaks were much easier before SBMM was introduced, because matchmaking with grades often gave him survivors of very different skill levels. Which is crazy when you consider that the current matchmaking is still not good.
Also, streamers like Otz are of course going to be better than 98% or the playerbase, so it only makes sense for them to win the majority of their games. But I also know that it generally took someone like Otz many tries until he was able to get a 50 win streak on most killers.
I have seen 100+ escape streaks of streamers as well.
I'm talking about soloQ. The last attempt to achieve pitiful 50 escape streak as soloQ survivor was done by no0b3 several years ago (and failed miserably, iirc), and even he had to quit DbD because of the total killer-sidedness it descended into.
-
After 6.1.0 killer games turned out to be ez 4k's (unless you are playing against SWFs, that is), so everyone wants that piece of ez4k cake, therefore the killer queue is overpopulated any time of the day.
-
if the gens are done
Ahahahahahahaha, that's a good one

Do I just need to wait for an AFK killer game and stand next to them with a stopwatch
This.

@KerJuice said:
Oh boy- you picked the absolute worst time to return. The last major update made solo que very difficult, and also seems to prioritize que times over fairer matches (better teammates & equally skilled killers).
The only way to climb MMR in solo is to escape every single opportunity you have. Do not try to help anyone after the gens are done. Open the gates and leave. You have to screw your team over unfortunately, and it’s because you take so many losses with deaths- that you need to counter as many as possible with a win (escape). And this still is not a guarantee because again, que times are prioritized so you’ll still occasionally get bad teammates once you’ve climbed. Be wary of entering lobbies where everyone is readied up and your teammates have low prestige levels, OG launch chars (Meg, Dwight, Claud., etc.) and old ass or default cosmetics (ESPECIALLY MEG WITH ANY MASK- DODGE!!!). That’s a perfect example of the game prioritizing que times, because the person before you left and matchmaking threw you in with less experienced players just to get the game filled as quickly as possible.
This really isn’t the best advice, so I apologize. I personally am stuck in MMR hell because my conscious won’t let me screw over my team. I usually try to help when gates are 99’ed and I’ve died many times because of it. And I think the reason for this is because I have been on the receiving end of many players sacrificing themselves for me, so I just try to pay it forward when it’s my turn to try and help.
If "the gens are done" happens in your soloQ games often, you are indeed one lucky guy. It also seems nothing like "MMR hell" to me.
-
Bond, Spinechill, Lightweight, Sole Survivor.
Run as soon as the killer starts approaching. Run to your teammates to drop off the killer. Hide during end-game, not only from the killer, but especially from the teammates, so that they don't rat you out. Wait for them to die. Don't go for the hatch. Wait at the gates and open them when the hatch is closed.
Might help a bit.
-
When DS and BBQ were meta, they all were behind paywall. The same applies to Ash's perks, for several months. They are intentionally adding OP stuff in licensed DLCs to nerf it a few months after their release. So if anything, this game is at least "periodically" P2W, and quite intentionally so.

The map has already been redone once, and is being split into two different maps when the new RE DLC is released.
It's not enough. The map should have been just deleted and forgotten. Everything else is half-measures.

Checking vault locations before you use them while not in chase. Or taking a hit instead of vaulting (when still healthy). Against a trapper, windows are dangerous, deal with it and adjust your game instead of crying how unfair it is.
"Just take a hit and die, just run around the map checking windows instead of doing gens". Wow, what a great advice, what a great way to outplay the Trapper, I'll be sure to use it next time I play against him, it all makes sense now.

You just listed 8 killers, some of them are super weak as hell. Who knows how many more you have. After all, you're complaining about trapper. Trapper of all killers lmao.
Also, did you just learn the term "ad absurdum?" You don't have to use fancy words to try and sound smart, all I did was over exaggerate. But maybe I'm not, considering you find trapper annoying.
Being week against SWF does not mean not being annoying, especially against soloQ. I guess it's pointless to explain to you, since you don't seem to play soloQ frequently and just refuse to understand. And "ad absurdum" is not a "fancy word", it's how that fallacy you used is commonly called.

The game is not killer sided though. Camping and tunneling are definitely a problem, but the game isn't really killer sided in general.
When you say it was at least fun, that sounds like you are only saying this from a survivors point of view. A game being really unfair for killers surely was quite frustrating for killer players.
This game is actually moving in a great direction, now that tunneling at least is also getting a nerf. I hope BHVR continues in that direction.
Killer main streamers: "Well, chat, we got so bored just winning, so let's start a challenge with 100 win streak as a perkless addonless killer with standing AFK for 2 minutes at the start of every game! Oh wait, we already did it last week, let's make it 200 win streak then!"
Survivor soloQ main streamers: "Well, we died again, but at least it was funny!"
Sure, totally not killer sided.

Half of the time I'm running into a trap it's because of my own stupidy, often seeing the trap but not reacting in time. So you can absolutely do something wrong. It's not that the traps just magically appear, the trapper has to set them. If you run into one, it's not unlucky, but planed by the killer in advance.
So if anything, be mad at your own shortcomings. It has nothing to do with Trapper being an unfair killer, that claim is just too hilarious to take seriously. If the trapper uses all traps for protecting a basement hook, then I would agree thats a bit obnoxious. But normal trapping of loops surely isn't. Maybe try playing Trapper to see how weak he really is and how rare it is to actually catch someone in a trap.
I'm running from the killer, making a vault and get caught in a trap on the other end of the vault I had no possibility of seeing or knowing of. Now explain how is this my mistake. What should I have done instead as a player? To FEEL there is a trap and teleport on the other end of the map instead of vaulting?

But why do you call this "obnoxious"?
I can understand caling Doctors, Legions, Hags, MDR Spirit, Slugging Nurses, Hug-teching Blights, Face camping Bubbas obnoxious, but just running into a trappers trap? Like I already asked, if you find trapper that bad, which killer remains then, honestly? Every killer can play in an unfavorable way. Calling every remotely unfun killer aspect obnoxious leaves no room for a real discussion.
Because every time you run into a trap while in chase, you know you didn't do anything wrong, you didn't make a mistake, but still get caught because you were unlucky. It always happens suddenly and unfairly. Every time this happens, it makes you want to let go on hook as soon as possible.

If you think so about poor Trapper, which killer remains to be NOT considered obnoxious, then?
Sure, it's really fun running from the killer and getting caught in a trap you could have no possible knowledge of. Maybe he is fun if you play in SWF, but in soloQ it's an invisible death simulator.

Yeah, just a handful of killers is "almost every killer", or even "every killer". Nice ad absurdum once again. It's like saying killer mains complained about every survivor perk when they mentioned DS and DH.
