I don't disagree with you, but if more people played that way, then it would become more apparent how strong those playstyles and perk combos are. Right now it's an open secret.
It's already apparent. Many of the changes that have been made regarding balance did not require the community to suddenly force themselves to change how they play.
-
Oh yeah play for the sake of playing as boring as possible, quite the opposite of fun. Which is the entire reason I play.
Thanks but no thanks.

This is not satire and it was never intended to be that way.
Survivors don't like the killer doing X things because it's unfun/interactive/no counterplay.
Killers also don't like survivor's doing Y things because it's unfun/interactive/no counterplay.
Both sides agree to limit/minimize doing these things, and the end result = everyone is having more fun.
What's hard to get?
The fact that you think Camping/Tunneling is only brought up as a means to being “unfun” pretty much says it all for me.
Those two playstyles (which are not balanced) + the fact that everyone and their mother want to bring every slow down perk possible and current eruption is enough to dictate a non-casual game.
In other words don’t complain about 2-3 gens flying when people have already called out your build. Not in the state of the game where half of the survivors’ build has to be dedicated to “I wonder if the killer will camp this match”. Pls

If you use his power in chase it doesn't do anything so people camp and tunnel cause he's bad.
Do you honestly think if his power was “better” in chase people would “stop” camping?
Thats hilarious.

Survivors only want to play against killers they can loop for five gens
And killers only want to play with killers they can down everyone at 5 gens?
Stop making ridiculous comments.
-
But I thought killers don't tunnel now that gens take longer?

I believe Mandy recently commented that slugging is not an actionable behavior. She expressly said do not report slugging, nothing will come of it. It basically takes time away from legitimate (that is, actionable) requests. If a killer wants to slug four survivors they can do that.
Except that some slugging does have more context that that. Especially when in relation to proceeding to BM after they slug OR post chat.
It is very clear when it is being done maliciously vs "because they can", which neither of those two should be a thing anyway, but beside the point.
-
Once you know they have it, it isn't as good IMO. So I doubt it would be nerfed.
Stealth doesn't mean they can't do anything after being revealed. They just waiting for you to move on so they can continue working on the gen. If you stick around, that is still good for them because the it just means the others have more time to work on their generators.
-
It isn't taking the game hostage, but it is a form of unsportsmanlike conduct, so you can report them.

Calm Spirit helps with the scream. So at least you don´t get detected while dwingling your thumbs.
I don't think the scream is what he is worried about.
This perk needs to be re-adjusted.
-
They could make the gens take 300 seconds each, and killers would still camp.
This is not rocket science, we knew this before they added more time.
-
Good for you.
Those of us who like a challenge will stick to other killers. 🤷♂️

@Rovend said:
And some people will still argue that eruption is not severely overtuned.
It is overtuned, and those who don't see it are biased players.
Even my killer main friends think this perk needs some adjustment.

To me it looks like the 3D modeler forgot to remove the hair pieces before releasing the finalized version.
It would have been cool if the helmet had a cracked part where you could see flesh and maybe an eye. That to me, would have been more creepy/mysterious.
-
LOL
Imagine people liking a perk so much in a game where the most fun is had during a chase. 🙄

For me I’ve never cared for her look.
I don’t know how someone who can overlap between realities has a boring look consisting of jeans and sneakers.
A far big difference from Mikaela (who I didn’t even care for at first) but I love now and you can tell right away she has witch vibes. OR Zarina who was an investigator as well who was into film, and you can definitely get that from her outfits.
Like it or not Haddie left a lot to be desired and it has nothing to do with her roots. I love that she is of Indian descent and that she is a freaking psychic (side note my favorite x men are psychics 😄) She had a lot of potential but I feel her look was not it for me.
Maybe they will come up with better looks for her in the future.
-
I love playing Sadako more than the other two.

So a survivor goes for shack pallet, if the killer swings he gets Dead Harded and they don't have to use the pallet, but if he doesn't swing he gets pallet stunned and they don't have to use Dead Hard. And that's "fine?"
They have to time it extremely well in the awful latency economy. So yes it’s fine, time your swings better.
They can’t drop the pallet if they DH and the killer waits it out. I’ve seen people who do this and get hit as they drop the pallet, because it registered the killer swinging before their pallet drop.

Prestige level is not indicative of someone's MMR. Yes, it shows they have some experience, but it's not a number I would go by in terms of overall skill.
Just keep that in mind.

Exactly what I was thinking.
It does look badass and looks like Baldur.

Well it kinda does have relevance since the only reason auto deadhard exists is because of bad perk design. You never seen auto deadhard being used before because it wasn't exploitable in the same way i.e if someone used auto DH they would most likely just get stuck against a wall or something.
New DH is effectively just the same as going from healthy to injured so it's really very easy to control with a hack & very very easy to mask as normal play.
If a perks design is the sole reason that it becomes exploitable then it's relevant to why it's a problem.
No it doesn't. Auto Dead Hard is a flat out cheat. It's not something that requires balancing, it's something that requires removal of.
It's not relevant because OP is asking for a balance adjustment, something which does not apply to Auto-DH. Auto Dead Hard exists because people who cheat exist.
-
I don’t know why you are adding auto-Dead Hard into the equation when that isn’t an intended feature and thus has no relevance on balance.
Also no DH does not need a nerf. It is more than fine the way it is.
-
Sluzzy comes to mind. I sacrificed myself for them and never regretted it.
-
Prestige doesn’t mean skill/knowledge . Just that they are addicted to this game and thus have hoarded enough points to prestige a character.
-
This idea only further promotes toxicity that this game doesn’t need without fixing the actual problem.
-
Yes, killers dodging you. 😉
J/k but hopefully something soon.
-
For me it’s only hilarious when the party being called a “try hard” says they weren’t trying at all, meanwhile they tried everything in the book including bringing perks/playstyles that made their efforts excessive.
-
And here I thought it was Camping/Tunneling. 🤷♂️
-
IMO it’s generally bad for specific killers not all of them.
-
I am lucky I see them very often on my end.
-
Too much? Not at all when you consider the fact that DBD draws from horror franchises that depict their own survivors as very “sexy” either to allure the viewer or their predator (TCM, Dracula, Friday13th) in the film.
I think if anything DBD doesn’t have nearly as much sex appeal. I know this may come as a shocker but just because people want sexier characters in a fantasy game doesn’t mean they want to sleep with them. Lol
-
At this point survivors existing is a reason.
You shouldn’t be surprised that they did this with that build, I would actually be surprised if they didn’t.

Demogorgon.
His power AND add ons are balanced.

RNG makes this game non-competitive because a competition would suggest that both sides have an equal chance of winning.
Something which RNG nullifies, because of the variables that already exist (map set ups, killers camping/tunneling while survivors have no defense against that, survivors bringing gen speed perks/tools while killers don’t have defense against that, etc etc) making it impossible to a 100% ‘fair’ match.
Different Maps work better with certain killers as well as with certain survivor perks. Banning certain maps isn’t going to make it that much more competitive, if it doesn’t directly even benefit the killer or survivors.
-
I think playing killer and going against bots sounds terribly boring.
Like for testing purposes sure why not, but as a real thing, no thanks.
-
Why is it still allowed? Because if it wasn't T-bagging it would be Pointing, if it wasnt pointing it would be head shaking.
In the end, people will find a way to BM, it is not that deep.
-
Yes it will
-
I can’t wait for Feng inspired hooks and gens too.
When a survivors goes on a hook their scream gets replaced by her scream.
When a gen blows up you hear the sound of her squeaky toy scream.
Lets make it happen!

I wonder why so many players want to compare there skill in an non competetive game with hundrets of random factors. You can't even replay the exact map tiling, if you want.
The MMR should help to create fair games. It should help you to have more fun. I don't understand why players want to incease there MMR although they already have good matches. And 1 week later they write a post that there opponents are too strong. That's really strange 😳.
The devs should never have said that a MMR exists. Now everyone thinks it's some kind of ranking 😑.
I can understand why people want to compare their MMR to that of their opponent or teammate. Because a lot of times it feels as though you did all the work and carried them on your back… you do 2-3 gens, run the killer, all while probably injured.
Meanwhile they just evaded by hiding and intentionally refused to engage with the killer. Healed even though they weren’t even the ones who were holding the killer’s aggro.
So yeah it may not be competitive for them (the casual player) but for whoever is taking the aggro and doing all the work, perhaps there is a big part that is. It has to in order to do what needs to be done.

So I have to buy a PC, and another copy of the game which I can't even link, to play the game because the console port is so poorly made? When is BHVR hiring you as their PR director?
They are reviewing my resume as we speak ☺️
/s
I was obviously not serious with telling you to go and buy a pc but you also assumed that I somehow knew that the issue exists on console and that you were also on console.
For PC players this is not an issue so my guess is that there are other many issues similar to what you described, on console. Problem is I don’t think they could restrict movement like that.

Dweet through and through.
He has dark hair like me. He is nervous being a leader like I sometimes am. I’ve learned his sounds so well, from when he falls from a window to when he is cleansing a totem (I know it’s weird o.o, but I feel like I know him so well).

@Laluzi said:
It definitely wouldn't be too much. If anything, it's not enough to help him. He barely has a power in endgame. The only other killer who can end up in a state where he runs out of his power is Myers, and he's not exactly in great shape either.
I don’t mind his abilities as a whole, but I do not understand why he can’t teleport to gens regardless if it’s finished or not.
It would help him before and after endgame.
As for Myers, I’m a Myers main and I get people’s general feel for him, I like his stalk ability and the fact that he has undetectable in EW1 but I hate how slow he is. I like that he can stalk multiple survivors but I hate his map pressure. Which is something of an issue with M1 killers in general, but I have to keep in mind that unlike other M1 killers he can one shot. So I’m sure there is a way they could make him have more map pressure without messing with what I personally think is great about him which is his stalker abilities.

On console, with aim dressing and bad fov? Not on your life is it easy. But my main argument is why we even need to counter something so silly. Why does the killer have a sewing needle-sized attack hitbox, and can easily miss someone right in front of them?
Come up with something other than "Lol, you're bad."
That issue happens even when not spinning. It is not strictly tied to a spin.
”come up with something other than Oh you’re bad”
Ok…” buy a PC”
