Pinhead, Pennywise, Candyman, Xenomorph and probably more, do not approve.
You forgot Jaws. Everyone forgets about Jaws.

How can BHVR accidentally make the exclusive cosmetics available to all? I'm convinced this was intentional to see what kind of feedback they would get from the community.
The code is clearly a big plate of Spaghetti. Fixing the Spirit bug has a side effect of giving out free cosmetics. Fix the free cosmetics and the Clown will be able to fly. Fix Clown being able to fly and Nea will be able to shoot laser beams out of her eyes.

Sorry but "don't let the negative comments" get to you etc, really? To some it happens, to some it does get to people, why should someone stop playing something due to people? Yes turning messages off is a good thing, but how is it any different then getting hate/abuse through a text, online or a phone call?
The posts maybe pointless to "some" but to others, esp those who write it feel they are expressing something, so let's not be negative or anything if a person wishes to do that, some have thicker skin then others so let's not be a douche to people who are or get affected. To those who see no point in these message of someone quitting, my question to you is why even then bother messaging and saying that? We can ignore, some can't and get something, we are all different so shame on those who have a go at someone opening up, or someone who can't handle things. There are ways of coping, dealing, very much ignoring people but still in game there is toxic behavior so maybe have a think first.
It's a shame that so many have posted such toxic comments to someone who is sharing their bad experiences. Giving them an even worse experience.
Personally OP, I hope you come back to the game and take on board the positive people in this thread.
-
I don't think the OP is promoting an exploit. Dressing Dwight in a bright yellow T-shirt is the opposite of an exploit since it allows the killer to see him better.
-
How do you know we didn't all win the PandaTV tournament?
-
Well done to them for listening to the voice of common sense.
Same goes for the car engine noises.

apparently it's the whooshing noise like a vacuum but i was on about the fact you can hear her idle wwwahaaaaAAHAHHWWOOOOOO noises when shes phasing
So the text was right but she has been bugged since release until now?
Good Spirit impersonation though.

It is unfair. But only to the single person that you down as a result of it. Which will be me.
-
Teabag hello to all the survivors. Continue tebagging hello furiously until they respond in kind.
-
If you feel burned out now, the next level of the Tome is out tomorrow!
-
A lot of survivors will let you have a free hit at the exit gates. Headbutt the side of the gate at the end of the game four times and then launch into them.

I found out it was alphabetized a while ago, but it does me no good, because, in my mind, the perks are their picture and function and not their actual names. So, when I'm looking for stuff, I'm like, "I want to equip See Injured People. The one with the heart. Um, um, um, um, um, um, um. um. um, oh, it's Empathy."
But maybe now I'll learn their names.
Same. In my head the cat perk should be under c for cat but apparently it's called Spine Chill. Which I rarely remember.
-
Hugging walls better as killer. If I chase a survivor round a car or small rock, I'll still be chasing them an hour later. With the Benny Hill theme tune in the background.
-
I had to get @Mushwin to explain this to me as I was confused: An ideal way to use it is to drop a pallet, heal in the killers face while he kicks the pallet. Then use the boost to sprint off.
Only equip it with brown medkits and only use the serum if you know you aren't escaping the chase to actually heal.
-
I deranked hugely by trying to learn The Blight on release. I dropped a couple of colour ranks and then got hit by rank reset to drop another. "Great", I thought. I am going to get some really easy games now! Nope, barely any difference.
-
I think you have to adapt you win condition to the team you are facing. If I can get 4 yellow rank solos in one match, followed by a red rank SWF in the very next game, I will have a miserable time if I don't adjust my expectations from match to match.
-
This has just happened to me, I had around 8 or so perks still on level 2 on P3 Meg and then only got three perks per bloodweb. It's not a huge deal when you are that close to maxing out a character, but it did seem a little odd.
-
Decorate the house, make some Halloween cocktails, put on a scary movie and kill some survivors with any new Demo cosmetics maybe?
-
That's you that is.

I would sent Otz just so he can go back after a month and explain to people that he is in way over his head and that's there is more to developing then game knowledge. People would probably listen to him.
If you go to any game development compony who's hiring developers and upon asked what your experience is you reply "i have over 4000 hours in that game you made." You will just get laughed at and sent to the door.
So if they are adding to the development team, they should add an experienced developer and not an entertainer.
It would be nice though to have a developer that communicates with the fog whisperers and explains why certain things can or can't be done. But most companies don't like sharing internal information with non employees so i don't see it happening.
But games companies do hire games testers. Games testers can test for bugs AND balance.

Due to the fact that it's very bad for the killer, shroud of separation should not be a killer offering imo.
I was about to the same thing. "All survivors start next to the killer" would be a better secret offering. (Am I'm joking? I don't even know)
Also, they either need more secret offerings as currently secret offering = Mori or remove the secret offering completely from the screen.
-
I miss running to repair a gen in one of the upstairs Haddonfield rooms and accidentally vaulting out of the window. They need to bring that back too.
-
I started a match on Ormand and my Demo was warming his hands on a fire. It was so cute. Unfortunately I missed the chance to screen shot and I will never get the chance to do it again.
Sad times.
-
I love my basement.
-
If I being an ebony, I can pretty much guarantee that I am going to be versing low rank survivors all playing solo, making me feel terrible about it. And if I rectify it in the next game by playing party streamers? 4-man rank 1 SWF on comms.

@MrPenguin said:
While that would be great, its not happening.
Too many people are too focused on their main side and don't play both sides enough, if at all, to understand how things work. Survivors are too entitled and toxic. Killers get shamed for playing well or just not the way the survivors want leading to them not caring.
Both sides are frustrated with the other side and how long things have been allowed to go on. That's why whenever keys get brought up its "well what about moris" and vice versa. DS, BT, Unbreak, iri hatches, keys, moris, ect.
If the biggest offenders on both sides can't even be agreed upon, what else could be?
I think it could. Do survivors genuinely think keys are fair? Do killers really think that Moris are fair? I think there are some things on which there is a consensus. We could start with those.
To be honest though, as a killer main, I'm not going to run Ruin with Hex Undying and I am sure there are survivor mains out there that feel the same way about running DS and unbreakable.
-
I'd have a go. Would I be able to stop myself from being biased? Unlikely. Would I destroy the game because of my own selfishness? Probably.

I like constructive criticue and couching genre but there is not much videos like this. Dbd youtubers often drop this idea after 5-10 videos. This genre is hard because you should be competent for things like this, and you probably get critical feedback if you give bad advices.
But most simple and good idea is run some meme builds and get fun games.
There can be a problem just watching some of the better or "educational" content creators when you are are trying to improve. You don't necessarily pick up on the clever plays.
Critique videos can highlight bad habits in your own plays - I had been shooting over the width pallets with Deathslinger without even thinking that I should actually be shooting the survivor across the length of it instead. Even though I had seen streamers do it properly, it took a critique video to make me actually SEE the mistake I was also making.
-
Good killers do not rank up at the same rate as survivors so the many green rank killers end up being matched with the many red rank survivors to fill the lobbies. Red rank survivors are regular players and are more likely to team up as SWF. Together these two create a hard skill wall that is difficult to break down.

If I am not wrong, old Xbox customers can play DBD for free in the new console?
any other cases you know? for instance why not Steam users to Stadia?
what is the criteria to choose which platform is portable for free?
It's a good tactic from Sony and Microsoft's point of view. 4K at 60fps encourages us to upgrade our consoles but blocking cross-progression discourages us from swapping sides.
-
If I was a BHVR employee, I would be going into my weekly balance meeting with your notes. I wonder how many of these are actually on their agenda?
Some could argue that things on your list are even more important than experimenting with car engine noises on gens or nerfing perfectly fine perks.
-
The most satisfying thing is vomiting in a hooked survivors face. Although it is annoying that I am actually supposed to be sick on their feet to infect them. I've never understood that.
-
I guess they could introduce a small speed boost to gen repairs while the killer is hanging around a hooked survivor with no other survivors in the vicinity. Nothing too much, just enough to discourage the tactic.
-
Windows of Opportunity. Best perk in the game. Three years in and I still don't know vault locations.
-
If you like playing Hillybilly, Oni feels similar. If you like playing Huntress, DeathSlinger seems similar. Personally I would lean towards DeathSlinger as I like my Huntress games more than my Hillbilly games.
If you hate (or are terrible as) Billy or Huntress, you might find you have a similar problem with these two.
-
I think the worst part is that I usually end up using my Mori on the worst player (as naturally they will be most likely to be caught first).
I don't want to spoil the default Meg solo player's game, I want to use it on the 360ing, flashlight clicking DS Unbreakable OoO streamer. But that's not gonna happen because I'm clearly not going to waste my early game chasing the cockiest player.
-
Sometimes it is worth creating a controversial topic though, to encourage healthy debate.
-
It's really good. Mrs JawsIsTheNextKiller and I can play co-op in the living room together, and thanks to no cross-comms, paired with my noise-cancelling headphones, I don't have to listen to her.
-
I think they will randomly bring in some new feature that inbalances the game in the favour of one side, and then refuse to acknowledge it, and refuse to fix it.
-
They were both meta perks with 60 second timers.
Killer mains and people who play both sides have been begging to have DS nerfed in some way as it is meta because it is arguably the most powerful perk in the game. Few people thought Pop needed a nerf.
The nerf that was given to Pop was a nerf that would have made a lot more sense on DS so it makes sense that people question the decision.

We have always noticed a 10 second minim lag for console players because im a pcer and they have always stood there for 10 seconds exactly after start of match and all other pc players are moving. I used to hate playing with console players till i realized totally not their fault.....
I can play SWF on PC in the same room as a PS4 player. We both load in at the same time and both have movement at the same time. The only difference is my loading bar gets to about 90% quickly and then sits there waiting for the PS4 loading bar before the game starts.
Things might be different for XBox and miscellaneous consoles though.

Some forum members think that the devs are not learning from their mistakes. Overwhelmingly people are asking the devs to more thoroughly test their code, consult the gamers before commiting to major changes (perhaps using the Fog Whisperers for this), and not waste development time on balance changes that people simply don't have an appetite for. There are some balance changes that are easy to implement that do not get addressed and some things that were perfectly fine get "reworked".
Much of the community is understandably frustrated and angry. But they still need to avoid being unnecessarily rude.
-
I'd quite like those plants to be in every game, whether someone has selected the challenge or now. It would give survivors a chance for some extra points and a slightly easier ttime for me as killer as they won't be as focussed on the gens.
Of course it would annoy the survivors that take the game really seriously, but then the rift itself stops people playing normally anyway so it wouldn't be too much of a change.
Something every other weekend would be good. I like giving multiple reasons for people to load up the game.
-
Do this twice? Easy. Twice in the same match? Not so easy.
I think the best way to do it is to play normally for a few games, then as soon as you naturally complete the first gen in the terror radius, then 99% another one and wait for the killer's patrol.

I didn't know that actually. Still, I don't think Jason is a very likely candidate. If the legal battle stops, I figure the game might actually get some more updates. If F13 the game like officially dies, then maybe - but as Jason already has his own game, however dead it may be, I don't see it happening.
Add Jason to the game and add an advert on the loading screen when versing him for the Friday 13th game. Everyone wins!
-
The frame rate is the worst it has ever been. By a considerable margin. It's not even restricted to the new maps.
-
Yup. From all the countries of the world, I thought it might be that one!
-
You should have to chase after it. HOW DO YOU LIKE BEEN LOOPED SURVIVORS!
