I know this phenomonen well. It's like you are getting stream sniped by the game - when you aren't even a streamer.
-
Same thing happened to me as the Oni. Merciless killer, double-pipped with no Trophy. When I went to check the emblems, I was only awarded a silver devout emblem. Nobody disconnected from my game.

I found it easier to do this challenge as killer. You are likely to cover more of the map.
-
Where they wearing a $15 legendary skin? If so, that's the reason.
-
Welcome back.
The devs need to keep monitoring what is getting abused. SWFs always running the same perks and killers always running the same perks should be a warning. They seem to be listening to the community more. I really hope they learn to react a bit quicker though. If the next chapter brings in a perk that breaks the balance, I hope they resolve it quickly.
-
I think the two most prominent and obvious dev-bashing content creators usually do acknowledge when the devs get things right and praise them for doing so. Both the ones I follow have been very positive about this change. If there are streamers that can't even acknowledge the recent positives then they certainly aren't worth my time. Moaning about the game gets viewers unfortunately.
-
RIP: My "I'm All Ears" builds.
I love the idea of the proposed perk changes though! It's well designed and I can't think of a way for SWFs to abuse it.

Yeah the dbd devs streamed themselves doing it!!
Are you going to get some sleep or not? 😁

BBQ encourages killers not to camp by telling them that there is another survivor very far away. You should appreciate the perk as a survivor.

this is me laughing. ha..haha.
We shouldn't celebrate yet. The devs will have to endure a lot of pressure from survivor players who believe it is unfair for them to lose their 60 seconds of invincibility. I just hope they can resist the pressure and not buff it again before release.
-
Why stop there? Why not make it last the entirety of the match? Why not even make it continue into the next match too?
If you get a 59 second DS, you were not tunnelled.
-
Can somebody read the enormous post from @GoodBoyKaru so I don't have to?
-
A shark.
-
Survivors are toxic. Killers are lovely.
-
I'm a rank 17 survivor. If I join Mrs JawsIsTheNextKiller's SWF, we average rank 15 killers. If I don't join the SWF, they get rank 1-5 killers.
They USED to use the better survivors rank but they changed it as it made their lobby times too slow.
-
I would genuinely use Zanshin Tactics if it never had a cooldown. Not all the time and not on every killer but I think it would be a perk that could have some use if it wasn't so needlessly limited.
-
I think if they do this then the bots should have to be ranked by the MMR system as if they were human. Then you would at least get bots the same level as you.
Maybe one day, one of the bots gets so good, it will break out and start streaming and creating YouTube videos. Maybe that has already happened.
-
When we talk about people being facecamped, we often think about the poor new rank 20 player who gets camped by Bubba at the start of the game. But there's the other recipiants of killers securing their kill - Some players get facecamped because they were being toxic. They don't deserve camping points. I've played plenty of games where the killer has camped only one player and then played the rest of the game normally.
-
In this scenario I would want the game to end asap. You need a thick skin to play killer so I just go to the gate and see them out. If they want to teabag me then I just nod at them (that's my playing-on-console equivelant of saying gg wp).
For me that's the best way I can look like I'm actually not bothered by the defeat. Even though I obviously am.
-
Damn, how I wish I wasn't called Bubba Herman Victor Rakoto in real life!
-
I always lose to Wraiths. I always get hooked first. No BT to worry about if they stay cloaked, they chase me until I think they have gone and as soon as I start healing - Bing bong and I get hooked again. Repeat until dead.
Yet when I play wraith, everything those above have said. Survivors just need to pay attention.
Losing to Wraiths is on me. I accept that.
-
You can pretend you are using a small computer monitor by moving your sofa into the garden and playing from there.
-
Are the tippy-tappy feet still present? (I really don't know what to call it). If that's gone I'll be sad.
-
I thought you might be bored holding M1 so I brought you some entertainment.
-
They could have been playing as SWF.
-
Its toxic red rank SWFs almost every match at night. That might be fine if you are a rank 1 killer but if you are anything else you won't have a fun game.
-
There are many football players who are 17 who are much better than football players who are 26, even though they all started at a similar age. Experience does not equal skill.
-
Open handed with Windows of Opportunity will be amazing!
I didn't expect a DS nerf but I am starting to think the devs are a little afraid to scare away the YouTubers that make their juking videos that rely on this perk. A lot of people bought DBD after watching these videos. If there was a single OP perk that lasted a minute and gave the player too many other things to do other than their main goal, it wasn't Pop!
-
It's not a good game design choice to tell people when they are bad at a game. This is probably a big reason why the old ranking system rewarded playing regularly, as opposed to playing well. They will never show these ranks.
-
This is quite a scary pairing. Let us see how long this one lasts!
-
@GoshJosh said:
I only approve of bots for training mode, if they are the same as the ones from mobile. The DbD mobile bots are absolute garbage.
But are they better or worse than solo human survivors?
-
If I get bored I play survivor instead. I know how sad that is!
I'll play other games, but I'll be thinking of DBD.

Meh I suppose my views are different. The killer throwing the entire match to facecamp me after I spent the entire match getting chased and all the gens being done is rewarding enough for me because I find it hilarious and satisfying.
I agree. If I can take the killer for a long scenic tour of the map while the others do all the gens and then I get facecamped and slapped on the hook all the way to the other three survivors escaping. I will be extremely pleased with the game and and consider that a heroic victory.
Or I could just do 3 gens, open the gate and then wonder who the killer was as I run out. That's the opposite of fun.
-
It's matchmaking's fault. If you are playing solos at your own skill level, its too easy. If you are versing a 4 man SWF with an average killer at your own skill level it can feel unwinnable.
-
I thought it was an excellent review. The review only really needs to go as far as to sway you into buying it or not buying it. I don't expect the reviewer to put several hundred hours in first.
Many on the forums would give it a low rating and complain about the balance, matchmaking and the bugs, but how many hours do they have? If you have hundreds of hours on a game, you probably like it enough to get value from your purchase. So maybe it isn't so bad after all?

Since a fog whisperer admitted of using the crosshair on huntress live in front of 5k viewers and you kinda admitted that is not bannable since there's no way of tracking it and all.
Why dont you simply make it visible since i know its already in the game as we can see against clown's gas or twins switch?
Since Nurse, Bouncy Boi and Not a Baby all have brown training wheel addons that help you learn targetting, I don't think it would be unreasonable to do the same in Huntresses rework.
-
I don't use Self-Care. When I am injured at the end of the game, I just die because I didn't bring a medkit either.
-
I'd take snares off him completely. Pallets are more fair and fun anyway.
-
There is no better way to guarantee getting found, downed and hooked first that running Deliverance.
-
I'd like to see something new from existing licenses.
- Evil Ash and the Evil Dead cabin map
- A new Quentin that looks like the actor and maybe Nancy from Nightmare on Elm Street
- Robin from Stranger Things
- Pretty Lady Leatherface
- Amanda from Saw without her mask as a survivor
- Replace Haddonfield
-
Why would anyone want to automatically teleport? Sometimes I want the survivor to run from the activated trap into my mouth. You can teleport instantly just by mashing the button/key as they approach the trap.
-
MMR for killers is easy:
Kill 3 survivors = rank up
Kill less than 2 survivors = rank down
Better than the emblem system, better than the old MMR. Fewer people will complain that they didn't deserve their depip.

But then you have to start asking what makes a good killer and how to implement that into the ranking system so they can pip and bad killers don't. I think the devs attempted it with the current emblem system, they just failed dramatically. The same goes for survivor. What makes a good survivor? How do you implement that into a ranking system?
You are right the emblem system was a mistake. I can play badly as Legion and get a double-pip but have really good game of Hillbilly and I black pip. By that logic, Legion is somehow better than Hillbilly? It's clearly too difficult to balance every killer for emblems.
I really hope MMR is still going to happen. I'd rather red rank players wait a bit longer (obviously not the 45 minutes @Tsulan mentioned) than scare away more potential killer players by carelessly matchmaking against anyone available.

Thats not going to solve the current lack of killers problem.
But ask yourself why there is a lack of killers.
Fixing inappropriate ranking will make it easier to matchmake and should bring back those that resist playing killer because they currently have to play SWFs 9 ranks above them.
Good killers need to pip, bad survivors need to stop pipping.
-
Survivor: Decisive Strike. If the devs can't balance it, get rid of it
Killers: Self-Care.

Bubba is defending his chest. Stay out of his shack!
If he's defending it so well then there must be something better than this purple flashlight so I'm going for it!

@Zozzy said:
To many survivors and no killers =^
Specifically too many red rank survivors and not enough red rank killers.
Play a game as survivor and you pip. Get an efficient 4K as killer and you don't pip.
Time to tweak the emblems if MMR is not imminent.
-
Boring for me, boring for the survivor. I don't particularly mind being slugged as a survivor as long as the killer remembers to come back for me.
-
@Rockotheawesomepug said:
I mean, A 3k is a semi-win in my book but a 4k is the official win
The only real difference between 3K and 4K is whether you want to slug or not. A survivor can escape with zero gens completed if they get lucky.
-
Now that killers have a perk combination almost as obnoxious as what survivors usually bring, it sort of is balanced. But I'd like to see the power of both metas reduced.
