Should have anticipated and place another trap kekw

And the console performances... Oh boy.
I like RpD being the choosen map, but I hate its execution. Boring to play for both sides, nulify a lot of killer powers... But it can be fun for sneaky non competitive players.
Nemesis without a rocket launcher, downsized, not sprinting and relying only on its tentacle is a joke to me. Is that umbrella's ultimate weapon to chase down Stars ? Not even close... The AI of zombies is trash. The addons are for the most part useless...
The chase music doesnt even have any OG drums or theme gimmick in it...
Survivors are ok. I dont like Re4 Leon's face model but what can you do, its Capcom s IP. Perks are meh, release performance were awful.
I dont know, feels rushed.
-
Markiplier as a survivor plz.

Yes and No

H e l l r a i s e r
You can make Heels Liar.
So it's a succubus inspired from Fnaf.

He gonna be a mix of Trickster and Nemesis.
Lot of chains that injure survivor and reload over time.

Performances.

Back to bronze 5 my duuuuudah

The console performance is not as bad as it was during the 5th anniversary. Wish it was as smooth as it was once they fixed it, but eh... I will take what I can get.
Debatable honestly. There is less freeze, but it stays longer. How many Bmight rush Ive failed because of that.
-
As killer its ok for me, but damn, often when I play survivor I face a rank 25 killer that cant do anything.
Really sad.
-
Because he is the specialist.
-
I want to see ranks.
-
Lol.
If SWF is shown, then dodging should bring DC penalty.
But yeah, nothing against showing swf at the END of the trial.

Hey McClean if you read this. Thank you for designing Blight.
So much. And I hope you gonna bring a new awesome game made out of passion.

SAIRE. These are the only truly confirmed letters, as far as I'm concerned (I don't buy that "rt" has any significance).
Ace is in a cage, the same way Pinhead can't "come out" until the cube's puzzle is solved, like he's "trapped".
The devs had mentioned they'd love to get Pinhead in the game.
I'm betting on Hellraiser. Who's with me?
EDIT: Seven "A" letters were posted when we got that letter. I thought this was just a random curiosity, since, on the Japanese Twitter, they only used 5 characters. However, according to Google Translate, the Japanese transliteration of "Pinhead" (which, you'll note, has seven letters) uses five characters.
EDIT #2: Turns out the "H" was indeed always there, so I removed it.
EDIT #3: The devs released four audio files which, when put into a spectrograph, spell out "HELL". Hellraiser confirmed.
I'm really curious how Pinhead could be rendered, just saw Hellraiser 1,2,3 last week !

Im not talking about ranks I'm talking about the SBMM score, which from what I've gathered from what the devs have said, they plan to keep as a secret score that will determine your skill and you will have absolutely no way of checking this score
Oh.. Yeah, who knows mate.

There seems to be an extremely vocal minority of people who are regurgitating what some streamers have been saying about MMR but aside from that I can’t see it as being a bad thing. Will try out some games soon.
True.

Honestly Blight has so much freedom concerning his perks... Play for pleasure my friend.
LilithOmen is a great Blight main, a lot of useful tips you can get from him.
Overall I think the main learning curve with Blight is knowing the collisions, what is bounceable, what is not. You can take those in your advantages for crazy flicks around textures.
Practice, practice... And practice.

not in the slightest. As previously explained in this thread ranks are hidden purely to get feedback on what's actually happening in a match.
Rightly or wrongly people perceive ranks as an indication of skill in DbD, but it's really a very minor thing - Rank is mostly to do with time invested which doesn't correlate with skill. So in order to get feedback and not have "SBMM doesn't work because my match was full of rainbow ranks", the ranks have been hidden for the test.
I don't get it. If that's only to NOT get rainbow kind of feedback, it's weird. Since player cannot give any feedback about their games anyway ? Except for the "did you have fun" rating, I dont know what type of feedback you're waiting for. Polls ? Maybe find a way to know how many hours are played by the person answering it.
I agree that rank =/= skill, and so do experienced players. These players won't give negative feedback since they understand this reasoning.
People that will bring the Rainbow arguments are NOT new players either, since I guess a *majority* of them play casually / dont go over the forums, and are not experienced enough to understand how ranking system work.
So who are the players complaining about rainbow ranks. Non experienced players that dont get it? Trolls ? People that follow someone else's opinion because they want to be negative toward Bhvr ? Probably. Also maybe because the Ranking system has always been blurry and Bhvr have never set rules with the game. What is a win ? I dont know.
Then, overall, why does this rainbow argument matters ? What does it change that people complain about it ?
That's what I dont understand. Why give importance to these people and this rainbow argument to the point you have to hide ranks, if you're confident enough in your system ?! If you know it works, it works. Nothing is perfect, and people will always complain about anything anyway.
Once again @Orion , I want to know ranks cause I have no way to know if someone is a casual or a hardcore player. Skill cannot reveal that. You really underestimate the value of this information.

Then why having ranks in the first place ?
Because when SBMM is permanently enabled, they'll be used for rank reset rewards.
Irrelevant or not, people want to know this information. I want to know if I play with/against players that play a lot their role.
Rank will only tell you if they played it a lot after the last rank reset, nothing more.
Seems like a reasonable request to me. Hiding it or showing it makes no difference, so Id prefer it being shown.
If it makes no difference, you shouldn't have a preference. However, the fact is that it does make a difference, since people kept complaining about "rainbow matches" during MMR tests, even though those ranks were 100% irrelevant.
"Rank will only tell you if they played it a lot after the last rank reset, nothing more."
Exactly and I claimed it on my previous message, I want to know this information. To me, its important, even if in its core, it doesnt make a difference, I want to know which kind of player Im facing / teaming with.
Its cool that you're aligned with bhvr's vision, but I'm not. Rainbow color is not an argument since it's always been like that. The only reason its hidden is because Bhvr think rainbow color would discredit the MM system. Which leads me to think they're not confident about it. But who knows, nobody know what we're talking about :)

...Which are irrelevant. It'd be like me asking what language you speak to understand why you don't like solar eclipses. The two are not related at all.
Then why having ranks in the first place ?

It serves absolutely no purpose. Yoi can still ask the ranks on end game chat.

Putting aside the fact that it's not a scam do you not want higher player retention?
As a player, I dont care. It's a good company move nonetheless.
Ranks being hidden and rules to climb the ladder not being transparent, I will keep my statement that this is a scam.
-
Because SBMM is a scam that only purpose is to protect new players so they got higher player retention and...
Sell more skins.
:)
-
I wait at the doors while doing something else.
-
Nothing being done marketted as something being done is complaint friendly. So...
No.
-
Haddonfield offerings, Lagswitching survivors...
For me, no.
-
sbmm is made to protect new players from being stomped, which will increase player retention. And ultimately : buying cosmetics.
Meditate on that.
-
My bet is it will be BASED on the chasing factor.
Surv : you can loop the killer for long, you loose the killer a lot ? Here take your points and climb.
Killer : You hit a survivor quickly, and down them in no time, here climb up.
Also depending on which killer is played (point multiplier), and confronted to general statistics acquired for that killer.
Can't wait to see what those prerequisite are about. Hiding this information, and the actual rank of players doesnt make sense.
"Feel the match" is not an argument, for a game that claims to be competitive, we need those informations. If bhvr want people to not take ranks in consideration, just separate Ranked mode and Normal games.
I don't know, to me, something is off with that whole system being implemented in dbd, but thats just an opinion.
-
Not having a balance direction (bandaid fix after bandaid fix), and the hypocrisy behind the "competitive" aspect of the game and the SBMM.
This game is not competitive, by nature. The ranking system is the disguise of it being competitive. You play a lot, you get rewards as you "rank up". And thats it. Too much RnG, and inequality for it to be a competitive game.
As far as Im aware, there's never been any official tournament. The SBMM (if it works ?) is simply here to avoid new players to get stomped by devotion >n+1, which the goal is to increase player retention, and sell cosmetic.
Nice one, Bhvr.
-
A "give up" option should be appreciated.
If someone want to get out, they gonna get out.
Running directly to the killer and get hooked again to end it takes a bit more time, but the result is the same. Allowing someone to quit 10 seconds earlier doesnt change anything.
-
Good addons.
-
Do crossplay off so everyone freeze in joy :D
-
I'm so scared of Dead Hard and the madness it creates when a survivor uses it.
-
Hiding goals is definitely the worst move.
If there are no rules and objectives to "climb the ladder", then what's the point.
Smells like a scam honestly.
-
The only thing that makes me unconfortable is that we dont know the factors that affects the MMR ranking.
It makes me suspect it's just an excuse to hide ranks, and hide their eternal crap of a matchmaking system they got since release.

You basically told him to learn his buggy collisions.
No he is not fine.
Yes you CAN learn his buggy collosions but that shouldnt be needed.
It should be fixed instead.
Taking advantage of "hug techs" and non-collisions elements "slides" is part of Blight learning curve.
-
No.

What an odd response. Presuming you main/play a lot of Blight, surely you've experienced the slide instead of a bounce before? It becomes apparent very quickly when playing a lot of Blight for the first time that some surfaces are risky to try and use because half of the time you will just keep sliding. No need to try and dismiss someone who wants bugs fixed that they just need to "practice more".
I dont dismiss anyone, its just my way to say one got to adapt. It happens all the time, especially in swamps, but what can you do. Are you really expecting Bhvr to fix its game @Junylar ? Nurse got the same bugs / impossible blinks since she came out. Sounds are bugged. Scratchmarks are bugged and glitched. Performance is trash, and now it seem their priority is a sbmm which make absolutely zero sense in this game.
But yeah, keep hoping for perfect collisions.
Trust me, better keep your energy and call it a feature.
-
Bmight is fine, if you have problems with collisions : practice more.
Once you know what is bouncable and what is not, trust me, you'll take advantage of that.
-
Pallet hit validation.
-
Your build is not new player build. MM did good.

I enjoy bying those cosmetic for shards.
Imagine paying cash.

Thats funny how RpD rhymes with DC

Calm spirit aka "no noise when hooked", it makes me sooooo unconfortable.

No thanks. I dont want a discussion with minors.
