For the question about representation, the devs said they are focused on making sure they do it right and not just having a token character. If the devs truly care about gay representation, they would let David be a gay character.
- he's the fan favourite among the gay community
- he doesn't portray any offensive or predictable steriotypes
- it would work really well with his current lore without making it his whole character
-
Killer mains always act like they have it so hard, meanwhile solo survivors have been getting constant nerfs and weak/useless perks for reasons caused by SWF, which ironically decreasses the amount of solo survivors and increases the amount of SWF.
-
You don't need to actually use DS for it to be effective, just the idea of it existing in the trial is enough to work as a deterrent from killers tunnelin you off the hook. That's why it's so important that at least one player in the trial is using at least one obsession perk.
The devs need to make it so that there's always an obsession even when no one is using an obsession perk, then survivors won' be forced to run DS every game anymore and the meta can have more variety.

We're gonna live forever and We'll make it

I hope WGLF will be a least a bit mroe useful then it is on PTB
-
Honestly, i hope it's much stronger then it sounds on paper. And maybe they'll make adjustments before the ptb, like you instantly pick up dying survivors that have recovered at least 75%
-
the WGLF buff should be far more stronger imo...

You're also getting new trigger conditions which is far more important. Also faster healing on downed survivor goes exactly in line the playstyle WGLF supports. I think the healing increase suits it really well and is actually pretty decent effect.
I couldn't care less about the new trigger, the new in-game function is much mroe important because with no function, the perk is nothing more than a handicap for extra bp. Also explain how picking up a dying survivor 0.1 seconds faster is so effective
-
I'm dissapointed that the WGLF buff isn't all that great. it's not completely useless but compared to BBQ&C, it's nothing.
-
I've got the same problem. I believe i've got a pretty good PC for running games, but even though I get perfect fps in almost all of my other games, I only get between 30 - 20 fps on DBD.
Let's just hope that they really optimize the game in the next update.

Really? The devs said they weren't doing anything about? That kinda stinks.
It's not that they aren't doing anything. It's just that the devs are assuming the perk not working is because of server latency. So instead of actually looking into the perk to see how they can fix it, they're just assuming the perk will somehow fix itself as they improve the server and reduce server latency.
-
If you don't like getting tunneled off the hook and want to ensure you have some form of protection, get DS
-
Hag and Trapper are the most unfun to play agains in my opinion.
- I HATE having to constantly think twice about all my movements
- Nothing against the killer itself, but pepole who play Hag or Trapper are so campy
- Even after having 2000+ hours in the game, the Hag jumpscares always get me...
- The way it forces your camera to look at the Hag trap is so unnessasery
-
Honestly, i don't care about the current legacy skins. I just want brand new legacy skins for the newer characters.

BHVR made an update
I've only seen them address the FPS on console. I havn't heard about them saying anything about FPS issues for PC.
-
I feel like all teachables should be available at all times on the shrine but it costs much more shards + a large amount of bp.
-
Does everyone have this bug? If so this is a huge deal, more pepole should bring this up so it gets fixed asap. Is isn't just another bug that brings a minor inconvenience, this could force pepole to use or not use obsession perks...

Stop spreading wrong infos. They explained why they wont show it, if you cant accept it gett outta here and play something else.
what's the reason they won't show it? Is it cause people said they didn't want to see it?

I think if you never touch killer, don't talk about balance and nerfs/buffs.
Play both sides (almost)equally then you can talk.
Are you okay? Not trying to sound rude or anything but you seem to be acting a little too aggressive over a simple discussion....
-
I think alongisde what it already does, it should buff the speed that other survivors heal you by 33%. This way it would be more viable without the necessity of carrying an item or another perk to combo it.

No. The rift skins are from the Conviction Collection and are completely separate to the Greek Legends Collection.
Speaking of, I love it. Goddess Jane makes me happy and this?
Bhvr take my money.
I like the David skin too but i don't like how his beard looks. I wish there was a mustache to go with it so it didn't look so unnatural. and that his eyebrows matched the rest of his hair lol

So the update is today?

Survivors does the exact same thing. And the amount of toxic messages from killers is far far less than from survivors. But survivors good, killers bad.
The amount of toxicity from killers is higher then survivors on the forums. In the in-game chat, you probably think survivors are more toxic because there are 4 survivors and 1 killer in each match so when speaking to them, the killer would often feel outnumbered.
-
Don't bother trying to get through to killers on the forums. No matter what you show them, they will always try to find away to justify their toxicity. Some will even try turning the blame to survivors, there are already plenty examples here in this thread...
You just can't people's minds so easily
-
Killers have twice as much second chance perks as survivors.
All second chance survivor perks are mostly balanced because they all have very easy counterplay.
gen rushing doesn't exist, it's a myth killers made up as an excuse for their lack of pressure.
-
Oh yeah...I lilterally didn't even notice until you pointed it out lol
Bubba probably didn't get a new chase music because he's a licenced character. But Billy should have gotten one with this change. My guess is that he didn't get a new chase music because according to how the devs described it, this change just isn't that big of a deal
-
Remove no-scoping, add a 0.6 second delay between aiming down sights and shooting. This gives room for survivors to react when Deathslinger is about to shoot. In exchange for this, there is no longer any cooldown for missed shots, and the addons that would normally affect this now reduse the delay between aiming down sights and shooting.
Add an audio que that's different from the terror radius, for when he is within proximity of a survivor, similar to the huntress's lullaby. Perhaps the auidio que can only be heard when his ammo is loaded? Or maybe add a visual que for when Deathslinger's ammo is loaded or not?
When it comes to counterplay against deathslinger, i think he has a very similar issue as the spirit, they both have the ability to zone out survivors without actually doing anything. By simply letting the survivor know your ammo is loaded, you can force them to run into dead zones in an attempt to dodge a potention shot. This is similar to how spirit can force survivors to leave any loop by just standing still.
-
I'd rather have springtrap or any charcter from fnaf and bring a younger audience then have a character from some random anime or manga and brings weebs into this game...
-
Dead hard (if you're skilled enough to use it properly)
Kindred (or Spine chill if you're specifically having trouble against stealth killers)
Decisive strike
Iron will (or Inner stregnth if you don't feel confident staying injured for long periods)
-
it would be nice to get some points for recovering in dying state.
Another idea i had is if you got objective points when your teammates complete generators while you're distracting the killer in a chase.
-
I would have prefered if the perk just disabled the item for a long period and depleted 20% charge per hit, instead of forcing you to drop it or deleting it entirely...
The perk is already strong the way it is now, it doesn't need any kind of buff imo
-
Nurse is without a doubt the strongest killer. Especially in chase potential, she completely ignores walls, pallets and windows. Unlike most killers, a nurse that's skilled enough to make few mistakes is nearly impossible to counter.
Spirit is a close second with her ability to force survivors to leave any loop by just mindlessly standing still.
It baffles me how anyone could possibly think that these two killers are somehow weak just because of the minor nerfs they got before that bearly even touched them.
-
I'm confused. what exactly is preventing you from catching the survivor? The EGC timer is already activated anyway, so all you'd have to do is camp the gates.
I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, I just genuinely don't see what it is you're pointing out that is giving the survivor an unfair advantage.
-
For me personally, I consider it a generous draw if i escape alone, or die but had fun during the match.
And a victory if I escape with at least one other survivor.

It's not exactly fair, but consider this. Without the requirement to survive, what is the most time efficient way for players to get the crown on all the Survivors?
The answer is this; Run around looking for the crown. Once you have it, find the killer. Get them to hook you. Suicide on first hook. Requeue as another Survivor. Congrats, whoever decides to do that just ruined that game and... a minimum of however many unlicensed Survivors are in the game at this point. This issue compounds insanely quickly if there is only one crown per match (which I think is how it works? Idk.)
Compare that answer to the Killer side. What's the most time efficient way for a player to get all Killer crowns? Well the answer is... to absolutely murder the survivors as quickly as possible. A killer who gets lucky or heavily outskills the survivors can end the game through completing their objective far faster than by throwing and letting the Survivors out. Now... you might get Killers playing more sweaty than usual, but they won't be outright ruining games.
Survivors have the extra requirements to prevent a lot of games from being ruined for the duration of the event.
Yet killers can just AFK once they get the crown and deny the survivors of any actual gamelplay or facecamp survivors who found a crown if they feel like being toxic. Killer's should be prevented from ruining the event just as much as survivors. it's not as if killers are pure angels who can do no harm...
-
Killers have it so damn easy how is this fair, they even get to DC and not lose it...
At least make it so that survivors get to keep crowns even if they die.
-
Hope should be permanant and combined with no one left behind, it's usefullness and the effect it has on the remainder of the match should be the equivalent of a killer's noed, since they both require the same outcomes to activate. (except survivors have to actually work for their perk unlike the killer, who's rewarded for failing instead)
-
I would love a gay pride outfit for David, but that's just a far off dream...
However if we're talking more realistically, anything for David that involves tight shorts is good enough for me ;)

I just don't believe that was the devs intention when they wrote his lore. Of course I could be wrong, but from my perspective, when they were writing David's lore, they didn't create an ex girlfriend with the intention that David was closeted, especially as there isn't anything that eludes to that in the rest of his lore, or the fact that he isn't true to himself.
What I took from their representation tweet, is that they were sorry for not being inclusive up to this point, planning to make future characters lores break the stigma. Essentially confirming that up until now, they had written David, Dwight, Frank, Julie, and Sally as heterosexual.
I don't believe they want to go back and change those aspects of those characters, but rather be more inclusive to future ones, if that makes sense.
Of course I could be entirely wrong and they could write David that way, but seeing as his tome is already over, it'll be quite a while before we get more David lore, as they likely want to finish the rest of the characters before expanding on older ones.
Even though his tome story is over, it's still possible for him to get more lore, in one of the entries for the other logs, it describes the times when David worked as a debt collector. So i think it's still possible for him to get more lore, just through other log entries.
-
I really hope David is 100% gay. i don't mind if he's bisexual but it would be so much better for him to be fully gay to go against steriotypes. You never see masculine men who are attracted to other guys in the media and whenever there is there's always some unnecessary catch to it...
To keep it consistant with his lore, he would have prabably been in the closet until he left his parent's home, it makes sense to me.
-
Literally no one is forcing you to read the lore...if it bothers you so much, ignore it and just play the damn game, or does that require a bit too much thought process for you? It has completely no affect on the gameplay, you can play the game for months and not have to read a single detail about the lore so you have no reason to even complain about it...
edit: this isn't directed at OP, just people who claim it would be bad for gameplay, or don't like the idea of gay people existing in the games they play.
-
I will literally sacrifice the entity itself for David to be fully gay.
He could have possibly discovered his sexuality after the events of his lore.
-
Another survivor perk that can be easily countered by simply not slugging...
As for combining it with DS, they're using up two perk slots for a one time use effect, of course it's supposed to be very difficult to counter...
Even though this perks isn't anything more than an alternative to unbreakable, it's probably gonna get nerfed just because of all the complaining, two nerfs i'm predicting is that you only get enduring if you recover when the killer is within close proximity or endirung will be one time use only.
-
This idea is good but only if it also be used without being combod with other perks, we shouldn't have perks that only have the function of buffing other peks, it's just a waste of a perk slot that way, like open handed.
As long as we're sharing ideas, i think up the ante should increase vault speed by 4% for each generator fully repaired (weather or not that would stack with spine chill & resiliance is debatable). and for open handed, anytime the killer sees your aura, you see the killer's aura, it's perfect for Ace's character/personality.
-
I had this exact idea too. each time you get an unhook or protection hit, you and the other survivor gain a temporary haste. It's definitely nothing game changing sinse it's only temporary but it suits the function of the perk. whatever the buff is, it should be just as effective as bbq&c. With bbq&c, the aura reading alone makes it one of the strongest killer perks in the game.
-
They shouldn't be suprised that there's a consistent meta when there are multiple perks that put the player at a signifigant disadvantage with little to no reward or benefit...
cough no mither cough repressed alience...
-
There needs to be a bigger cooldown on his ranged attack, it's like huntress but her hatchets go through walls and has infinite ammo.
-
I wouldn't personally have an issue with afk killers if it weren't for the fact that all the survivors in the match are forced to de-pip because they can't interact with the killer when they're afk. When a survivor is afk the killer can still hook them, get a free sacrifice and an easy win. but when the killer is afk the survivors can't do anything and are to forced to face a loss that they can't prevent.
-
Pretty sure licenced characters aren't canon...
-
I'm actually losing brain cells from reading posts from people trying to claim that this perk is good in any way...
Even if they made it so that it blocked only the killer from interacting with the gen, it would still be a terrible perk...
