It's because there absolutely no difference between this event and all the other events we have had in the past year or so. All the events have gone further and further down in quality. Events now are just "log in to get x reward." "gens and items change color and there's confetti again!" What happened to actual gameplay changes like the putrid serum? During the Hallowed Blight event, there was pustula plants that you had to collect serum from and escape (or in the Killer's case hook survivors) and would be able to use that as currency for event items. Another example are the community challenges like during the Summer BBQ which allowed you to get really cool cosmetics for doing challenges. I know there is a community challenge now but it isn't the same quality as the other one since it's the exact same design from the 4th year anniversary and now it's just on David and Wraith.
I love DBD, truly I do. But I think we can all agree that the events and the game quality in general has gone downhill. I am in no way trying to attack anyone from BHVR as I am sure they are busy with 1000 things right now, but as a player since launch day, I just have to voice the problems that I am having with this game.
I want more pustula pedals and lantern grabbing. But the community decided those were bad events and only wanted hooks and gens, no secondary objectived allowed. 😪

We paid for the resident evil chapter, but performance is so bad they should just refund us. BHVR Got our money and in return we got performance issues because they clearly didn't test their update on consoles before it went live.
They dont have to refund you because the DLC is not the issue at hand. Its something with the spaghetti code. That is to say, you buying or not buying the DLC would not have made a difference. Just saying.

Simply, Konami has no creative input for how the characters appear in-game, only that they have the license to use said characters/names/locations/etc.
This includes perks, their written DBD lore, their powers, and their cosmetics. It's why, for example, Cheryl can have an Xmas sweater despite it not being in any game, and similarly for PHead's sets. They are born from creative freedom BHVR has to use the characters as they choose. Which means they oh-so-creatively chose to force linked cosmetics, be it for greed or laziness (and not having to QA clipping with other pieces), and they pass their decision/laziness onto the consumer's wallet instead.
It doesnt specifically state that tho, the language used is too broad for my tastes. Like I said before what they are saying can be twisted and used for different perspectives.
I still am interpreting it as they have no imput on anything on DBD that is not silent hill licensed.
Unless something more specific comes out, or a Mod can talk about these emails. Im not going to just blindly jump to anything atm. Not that any of this changes anything about things being sets.
They arent going to just turn off sets anytime soon.

I cant beleive somebody went out of their way go ask Konami. Their response is kinda weird too.
To me, that neither denies nor confirms anything.
I read it as saying they have no input on DBD characters, or storylines or gameplay. Cheryl is not a DBD character, they said in their email she is a Konami license. So maybe im dumb but that email doesnt really ammount to anything regarding if they do or do not have a say over their license. It just says they cant speak for DBD characters, story or i guess gameplay.
The email is so nonspecific you can literally twist it anyway you wanted to.

Again, I think the problem is you just cant meet everyones expectations and desires on how the character should be.
Someone, somewhere is going to get annoyed by something. Because the LGBT+ is so insanly diverse in the first place.
All I know is I would love a little subtlety, they dont need to be a fighting for rights kind of icon for me to feel represented. But also, who even reads the bios and lore. Its all so long now. 😷
In other news I feel like it should be a male atleast, or FtoM. I feel like LGBT Males are so hard to come by. Seems its easier for the world to accept Females/Lesbians or something 👀COUGH LiS/LoU2 COUGH

Regardless of if you think it should be mixable or not. The devs made them linked sets. Thats the end of discussion.
I agree some of them are questionable and would be fine unlinked. But the Devs have stayed firm on linked sets and that wont change any time soon.
They knew about the bug/glitch and did not punish anybody for performing it. But at the end of the day, breaking the sets was never intended and it was going to be fixed eventually.

I dont play alot of killer, because im bad at killer. I get to purple rank and them im just trying to do challenges.
I play a lot of survivor which is super casual tbh. Hmu on monster hunter sometime, I love that game.

Yeah I already know that. I was arguing the injustice last week when it was released. But I dont think they were "advertised" there was a leak that said theyd be non-linked. Then BHVR made a statement saying they were always intended to be linked. As per Capcoms contract.
If im wrong, please find me the "advertisement" as them being non-linked.

Trap spawns need to be looked at also, cosnsidering they can spawn in the corner of the damn maps sometimes.

I think what we actually are good events, such as the ones we had in the past: Howling Grounds, Scorching Summer BBQ, All Hallows' Eve, Winter Solstice, and this beautiful list goes on.
What defines a good event? Because those events were just gens and hooks being pretty with extra BP.
I want more interactive events like the Blight and Moonrise. Finding the Gnome at ECG now that stuff is fun.

Ugh yes. The gacha is one thing that im well accustomed to, but the recent Jean skin is absolutely pathetic.
They made the event skin looking so much better by comparison.
The only drama I have with skins on DBD is that the ones I always want are never purchaseable with shards. I think skins in fortnite are more expensive, and OW skins are all stuck behind loot boxes. 🙄

Even weapons from killer sets are a bit of a grey area.

It saddens me that nobody mentioned the Plague.
The Demise of the Thotful chapter will always be my fave DLC. It gave me both Jane and The Plague who I main.
Although once I hit purple ranks I just stop playing killer because it's too much for me and I'm a terrible terrible terrible killer.

Most streamers are all pretty chill I know a few small ones that I have fallen in love with when vsing them in DBD.
The only streamers I dont like are ones that dont want to admit they played poorly, survivor or killer. The god complex some people can have is insane.

I feel like the BP grind is not that bad if you know which survivor you want to main. Its been said before, they are all skins. When you decide to P3 and get every single perk I guess thats where it hits you hard? But being P3 is just a choice that doesnt make much of a difference anyway, it's just to show off.
Just choose a survivor you like and play as them. Unlock meta perks or whatever but keep your main fed with BP. Between the shards you can use to get BP and the tome challenges there's a lot of BP to be made. Compared to how it was before, getting perks is a bit easier, when you could only get one perk per BP level, Christ, that was a grind.

What makes you think im going to refund the cosmetic? I now have a fullset for 1/3 of the price since im locked into using it all now anyway.
I think most people will just keep the whole thing anyway and not use it. 🙄

Subsections 74.01(2) and 74.01(3) of the Competition Act "prohibit the making, or the permitting of the making, of any materially false or misleading representation, to the public, as to the ordinary selling price of a product, in any form whatever". Basically, you can't mislead or allow others to mislead the public on the RRP- Regular Retail Price.
The "ordinary selling price" can be decided in 2 ways. There's the volume test- if the supplier has sold "a substantial volume of the product was sold at that price or a higher price, within a reasonable period of time"- and the time test- where "the product was offered for sale, in good faith, for a substantial period of time at that price or a higher price".
It has nothing to do with having a product be discounted, only that you cannot sell it above the usual price.
I'm no expert in Canadian law, so if there's someone who is please do correct me because I'd love to know more, however I don't think it's illegal to have a sale on items put together in a bundle, as has been the case for the entire store, ever.
