You can like and dislike anyone you want. It’s your personal preferences. Unless it’s Spirit in that case you have to like her :)
I love spirit and I mourn for her as she was once a terrifying force to be reckoned with!!! Now she is just a weak old spirit with nothing but 2 addons going for her :(

I watch Tofu do the challenge until Legion (which is when I went to bed), he got a 4k in every match. Most matches he won easily some, he only just barely won.
I think that the test shows 2 things.
- You can win as killer as long as you're good enough and sweaty enough. There are very very few death squads that are unbeatable and they're definitely not every other game.
- The best way to win the game as killer is to Tunnel, use the basement to camp, and then slug to secure all 4 kills. These strategies exist at a core level and are not fixed even with survivor perks like BT, DS, etc.
There are definitely games where no matter how well you do or good you are you lose.

Tru's approach defeats the idea of the challenge. It's meant to show that you can easily tip the scales in your favour as killer with some extremely sweaty but easy strategies along with some decent game sense and handling tiles properly. He just played normally with every handicap imaginable. Guy literally got roasted because he couldn't follow the instructions properly.
Survivors can do the exact same by SWF'ing up and pounding gens like psychos, letting their tunnelled/camped friend die as they sweat out gens.
Otz's hours have little to do with it. His game sense is the same with half those hours, and killer players shouldn't use that as an excuse to dismiss the findings. Otherwise they have to admit they have a skill issue (which they don't do lmao).
going for hooks is asking to skew what this challenge stands for. The game doesnt say you HAVE to 12 hook. It says kill by any means. So I don't think i agree with tru3

@RakimSockem said:
Are you looking for us to play how we normally play or to go for efficiency only, slam gens, and get out?
I ask because I generally wander and look for totems, search chests, and look for the killer to be chased if I'm not getting chased enough.
I want to see if we would escape or how many of us would while all of us afk for 30 seconds at the beginning without comms.
It would be the goal to slam gens and be out .

@Shroompy said:
Does it matter which platform?
no
As long as you know what you are doing. I also don't want comms.

It’s only in the half-decade old games where you can expect someone to have 2 and a half months of gameplay.
I mean this game is almost 6 years old. I just want people who are efficient. I want a team that is good so we can have good variables is all.

Do you have videos?
That's the really interesting thing to me. Exactly how someone is playing and how their opponents are playing.
I know that at what's likely an 'intermediate' MMR, I get the whole gamut. Teams that want to play as chill as I do, and complete sweatlords that, if I'm not running something very meta and got a bad map, I probably lost the match before it started.
I have the stream vod. I will admit that I had to play pretty nasty to get the 4 kills and all that but even so I am most certainly at a decent MMR as well.

You should really keep this in excel so you can show the data. You can copy & paste excel snippets on here.
You mean like kills on each killer?

Cross progression is in the works already from what I know
I understand they have said that. But they also cannot figure out how to get it done cross platform. Stadia and Windows and Steam I believe are Cross progression or were at one point. I was just wondering if Cloud gaming made it any easier to get Cross Progression.

Yeah that’s true actually. Still going to be an insane combo on most killers maybe even beating ruin undying due to its consistency at stopping high priority gens
Exactly... It isn't a Hex perk and they cannot take it away. Its just there.

DMS has a cooldown of 45 seconds. If DMS is currently active and you hook someone else it does not refresh the current duration.
I tested it before in KYF.
Even still going to be very good I cannot wait for it to be changed, I am already currently using it with nemesis and resonance and it is disgusting.
So many DCs!!!
-
@Phasmamain said:
Yeah it sounds pretty broken to me especially since neither have a cooldown
Dead mans has a cool down unless they are getting rid of it. That would be insane if Dead Mans worry have a cool down. But to be fair it will only be good on killers that can get downs quickly and M1 killers most certainly will not be too much of a threat. Its the nurses and Blights you will have to worry about.

Cool. Just never complain when anyone leaves you to die, screws you over, is AFK the whole game, or throws a match you did want to play, since you're apparently not owed any form of cooperation or basic effort from your teammates.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2718053#Comment_2718053
For you. Everyone else just gets ######### and wastes whatever items/offerings they brought, and slogs through a crappy unwinnable game. If they're lucky, the Nurse might farm, but a proper game of DBD is not possible when someone dips immediately.
The only reason what you're doing isn't against the rules is because it's mechanically indistinguishable from players trying to use the struggle function and can't be enforced. But it's functionally identical to something which is disallowed, and nobody splits hairs over the difference. Don't expect very much support or understanding from the rest of the playerbase.
I mean I don't seek her out to die I do what I got to but first hook i am gone. Sometimes thats early on sometimes I don't get found or I through the grace of the entity don't get caught in chase but I definitely DO NOT seek her out like that.

Thanks for that, left for dead and skilled huntress seem like theyre going to be the most difficult
Left for dead is near undoable unless the killer allows you to do it

@GannTM said:
Listen I probably hate Nurse about as much as you do but there’s no reason to have this mentality and intentionally throw games because of the killer.
I don't look at it as throwing the game. I look at it as moving on to the next.

@Shaped said:
I don't like twins and I am still not feeling entitled enough to throw because of it.
Keep in my mind that there are 3 other teammates you are screwing over when you dc or leave.
I would not say they are my teammates. They are 3 other survivors with a common goal. I would not say I am entitled, but I won't pay something I do not enjoy.
-
@Laluzi said:
Throwing teammates are just as bad as DCing teammates. In a sense, they're worse - they do the same thing and aren't punished for it, so they can get away with it. Don't screw over your teammates just because you don't like something about the conditions of the game.
Like, do you even wait to see if the Nurse is good or if she's still learning? The MMR gap between different killers on the same account isn't that wide.
Nope I don't wait at all. Don't care either. Nurse completely bores me.

Seriously as survivor I want games with a scary killer, that's exciting and threatening to face like a real horror movie.
I'm tired of being able to scooby doo the ######### outa most games.
Oh, I didn't say it was bad. I am just pointing out the evilness tonight.

@luvcraft said:
Pinhead's special was already useless, and all his power comes from the box, and my framerate playing as him is literally half what it is with any other killer. His saving grace was the box, but because the devs had a brain fart and forget Franklin's existed when they made the box, they later nerfed the box into the ground, so now it's useless too. And they nerfed it based on how matches were going before survivors knew how it worked, so now that survivors understand it the effect of the nerf is even worse.
I guess I should just forget he exists and go back to just playing Doctor and Myers, and consistently 4k-ing with no add-ons.
What did they do to the box? I'm so confused. The box is still the same.

Seems like a healthy way to keep one of the most popular games on Steam alive, for sure.
I'm also amused at these 'gen-rush' and 'camping' experiments that just perpetuate the very behavior people hate seeing.
I know it is anecdotal, but I don't really see enough hard-camping/gen-rushing for it to even register on my care-o-meter.
Really? The camping happens a lot for me as survivor, and Gens are so quick when I play killer its insane. My chases are not very long either.

Camping killer don't care about BPs so why worry about them getting double? So you are just going to sit on the BPS? Then everyone loses out just like people refusing playing their cakes.
Well I should not complain still having 130+ cakes on Nemesis but whatever 😁
Yea Ill sit on them until Killers and Survivors are at peace LOL. they are just a bad omen.

How does something being legal prevent it from being griefing? Those two things have overlap, but they're not the same. Two survivors crouching in bushes all game because they want the killer to disconnect, and give zero ######### about their teammates at any point in the match, are griefing. A player that finds an exploit and abuses it to become invincible or prevent the other side from progressing is griefing. A survivor who decides to punish another survivor and tries to get them killed is griefing. A SWF that won't finish the last gen because they have the items/offerings/coordination to keep dunking on the killer for the next twenty minutes is griefing. A killer who bleeds people out instead of ending the game when they have the ability to is griefing.
If there's no point to do something other than to dick on other people's gameplay, it's griefing. Whether or not it's allowed is merely tangential.
I mean if 2 people DC and you just go around slugging and taunting and nodding I would say that is greifing. At least to a newer player. To me it is just part of the game so it doesn't quite bother me. I just feel bad for those who are newer that is all.

I never said I DC. Im sure others feel the same. Its not fun for me so I am just going to move on to the next.
-
I get the standing in the gates thing, but you don't always get survivors like that. There were 2 dcs and this guy is taunting and bming like it was a full on 4v1. This brings me to the point of the revolving door of toxicity. When people should try and play normal rather than hgo out of their way to ruin the experience of others. Survivors are the biggest offenders they dont even give the hit at the end they wait there to just run out. But either way it is what it is at the end of the day its just a game.
-
@dugman said:
There are some rare cases where you must bleed someone out because, for instance, they crawled to a corner out of reach of any hooks. But intentionally wasting everybody’s time for 4 minutes is obviously just giving the middle finger to the survivors.
I’ve only done that once personally, and it was a group of four survivors who intentionally just ran to a corner and went afk. I waited a bit to see if they would come back, and downed them. Eventually they used Unbreakable, I downed them again and just left them to wait out the timer. If they’re going to intentionally just waste my time by refusing to play I have no problem wasting theirs, it at least keeps those guys out of the pool for a few minutes to potentially do the same things to other people.
This killer was nodding and taunting so he was just bmming. I also dont think its greifing just want others opinions.

I have seen all my favorite killer mains drop the torch with killer and it is sad. Why must you make this game SO one sided. It makes 0 sense. You say you want both sides to have fun but there is no such fun at high level for killer. You've gone and destroyed this game.
I have also noticed survivor queues taking Real long to play now a days aswell. Pretty soon all the good killers will be gone and there will be nothing but baby and toxic killers left for survivors to play against which will bore them as you knwo survivors find tunneling and all that crazy stuff boring

You would be suprised how many players will just leave when you get close.
I am fine with those who want to farm extra points, but some are just toxic shits.
Exactly why I just spam my power and look foor walls and pallets to break.
They can sit there for abs nothing. They think they are annoying you but youre occupied farming bps while they sit in the gate getting none.

How flipping impossible the Myers 4 kill perma within achievement is. It does not matter how good you are, the survivor can DC, or commit to the locker game and deny you everytime.
Yep. Before it was fine to try during rank reset but now...... MMR
-
Another thing that gets me is instead of saving to get points when a game is lost and even though I saved them the other coward hides for an entire 2 hook states to get hatch. So dirty.

MMR was the worst thing to happen to this game. It has literally turned it into something that is totally unfun for one side.

Being tunneled. I understand in some scenarios, but it seems to happen to me way too often. It feels like I have a target on my back that just says "please tunnel me!"...
To be fair Tunneling is so common now that it doesn't even phase me. I bring anti tunnel perks because of how common a strat it is at High MMR. Killers goota end chases aand kill people quickly or they 100% lose the game so I see why tunneling is so common now a days.

I have a lot of time played with every killer and I do fine most of the time. I am also not complaining about losing. I just dislike very much games where nmw is done you lose. when you get that 1 hook to 1 gen ratio when you are ending chases fairly quickly.
What I mean to say is some games just feel like your were not meant to win at all.
