Alright, many thanks!
NP, also remember when changing your Config Files to put whatever Files you changed back to "Read Only" otherwise it will reset your settings to default upon booting up the game. I had a friend accidentally do it twice, so you have to be careful.

What did you changed? And how
I used this to edit my Config Files. Edit settings to your liking, dont entirely copy everything you see, it takes a lot of adjusting to get meaningful results.
-
Ive been having FPS issues as well recently. I moved to PC a few months ago, never had issues until the past few updates, my game has been stuttering a lot.
Editing my Config Files has helped a bit, so you might want to check that out. But the Developers definitely need to optimize their game a bit more.

Camping and tunneling every single match.
Currently getting humped on the ground as the last survivor by a p100 sadako. Happy anniversary y'all.
Well... I guess I was in a similar boat as well. I got bleedout (same with my entire time) by an Oni using Knockout.

But do the party pallets trigger Smash Hit? Because I could see a niche with Smash Hit and Parental Guidance.
No idea, I think it counts as a Pallet Stun so it might, I have a friend who uses Smash Hit all the time, so when they get on I can test it for you.
-
Well, the Survivor ones, in my opinion, are either mediocre or just situational.
The Window Blocking can be helpful, but on most loops it is useless. Unless it is Shack or Haddonfield, there are barely any reasons for Killers to vault windows outside of Bamboozle and mindgaming.
The Party Pallets are alright, but they are easily countered, since you need to stun with them to get any use. Enduring also just completely undoes anything they do as well.
I love the Killer ones though, they are really damn good, and fun to toy around with.
-
Leaks are sometimes not reliable, and misinformation has been spread around before.
The Event Offerings for the 7th Year Anniversary is treated like a Bloodpoint Offering, so you can use it outside of the event. It is just suggested that you bring the Event Offering since it lets you see the Aura of Invitations around the map.
-
@Annso_x said:
...but the invitations are much stronger for killers than survivors ? The window block is basically useless and the pallet immediately breaks, while killers can insta break pallets and expose survivors (and I think I'm forgetting something else).
I've only played killer so far and haven't had any issues with invitations besides the fact that they feel a bit clunky to use.
I mean, Survivors can rebuild pallets, but even then, they are kind of mediocre, since they instantly break upon use, and if you dont get a stun youve basically screwed yourself.
The pallets are super easy to spot as well, since they have blue and gold on it, so they can just respect it and get a free hit anyways.

I haven’t seen this once.
It's happened to me once, but every other match Ive had (as Survivor) has been miserable for me at least. Killer isnt any different. People can play how they want of course, just ya know, not really the most enjoyable experience for me atm. I do hope things improve for me at least.
-
They are like crows, but insanely visible, it helps significantly with tracking.

I play both sides. I feel no remorse for playing how I play on either side. That's what the game is about, doing whatever it takes to survive as a survivor. Doing whatever it takes to 4k as killer. You people got to stop thinking the opposition is playing for your enjoyment. They aren't, they are playing for their enjoyment. As a survivor I will loop, flashlight, pallet stun, hide, gen rush, whatever it takes to get out. As killer I will tunnel, proxy camp, slug, whatever it takes to hook you. It's the name of the game, no where does it say you have to be kind to the opposition.
I was just saying how my matches are going so far.
It's not that deep, people can play how they want, and Im not against camping and tunneling if it is necessary to win. HOWEVER, I disagree with people harassing me in the post-game chat, since post-game harassment is unnecessary and unneeded.

I actually thought it was today. Being in Australia, I get the times and days mixed up sometimes lol
I believe BHVR is based in Canada (I could be wrong), so you have to consider that when translating timezones. A bit unfortunate for those in Oceania, EU, Africa, and Asia, since you have to put it more work just to understand times/dates that things release.
I live in the US (Central Standard Time, or CST) and the event starts at 10 AM for me, since the timezone they posted on Twitter was 11 AM EST (Eastern Standard Time, sometimes expressed as ET instead). You will have to do some translations to your timezone.

Call me a simple person, but it wouldnt matter if it was the best Killer map or best Survivor map, Id still love it.
I just love snow maps in games, I wish we had more maps in that realm, since the snow just always has this vibe that I enjoy.
-
This is perfectly fine in my opinion, since it wasnt intended and was going to definitely get fixed anyways.
For The People is still a really damn strong perk, you just barely see it because people dont know how to use it effectively.

Unfortunately the devs did account for this. The Singularity's overclock ability does not activate Hubris
They have decent anti-loop anyways (when dont deal with EMPs), Hubris is a perk they can make usage out of, just you need to play around having the perk, which isnt too bad considering it doesnt diverge too far away from their normal gameplay.
Spirit Fury and Enduring is pretty bad on them, since being stunned in Overclock effectively removes it. It's similar to how Demogorgan can lose Spirit Fury and Enduring despite breaking a pallet with Shred. I hope they fix that at least.
-
@Devil_hit11 said:
i think if your leaning into exposed, I would use enduring spirit fury hubris on him. he breaks pallet quickly enough to charge enduring fury and hubris will grant you an instant down every time.
If you are going into Hubris, you do not need Enduring and Spirit Fury.
Another thing you have to consider is the fact that Spirit Fury uses whenever you are stunned while in his power, effective just wasting Spirit Fury.
You have to really be careful if you run that, which is why I do not think it is needed or advised.

I do not believe it is about pallets or vaults but more like genrushing. Many have Resilience. There was a time (after the healing nerf) when I decided to take "We'll Make It" and "Distortion" with me. Both became mandatory perks in my builds. But "We'll Make It" only last for so long after unhooking someone and it's pretty annoying when they just rush to the gens and don't want to be healed.
The community no longer wants long matches. It's all about winning / losing and not about having fun.
Survivors want to have fun => Killers camp and tunnel => Survivors sit on Generators all match => Killers want to have fun => Survivors complete the Generators way too fast => Killers camp and tunnel to keep up => Survivors want to have fun...
It's just the DBD Cycle... it's nothing new.
-
I dont like Wesker because they suffer from the same issues as Nemesis... being really buggy... it just seems like a trend with the RE Chapters.
His power is fundamentally fine as a concept, but there are times where I should be hit but Im not, and times where I shouldnt be hit but I am. It can feel frustrating to go against and play as at times.
I personally prefer Demogorgan's power over Wesker's power since it feels like I have some level of consistency.
-
I think the worst part about the chat filters is that it effectively does not censor the actual awful things people say since it's easy to bypass. Meanwhile if you try and mention anything involving the game, the ####'s make people think you are saying awful things.
Causes far more harm than good, therefore it should be removed, in my opinion.
-
I only dislike the map because seeing things can be hard because of my colorblindness.
I have to use a Shader to tint my entire screen one color just to be able to see things, which I think most people can agree, is just dumb, even though I have colorblindness, I shouldnt have to do that just to be able to see.
They did take Feedback from the PTB, and made things easier to see, mainly just Survivors, but I still struggle a lot with Scratchmarks.

“Yet another” seems a bit dramatic. This is the second license they lost, and this one’s ultimately just cosmetics. The lobby theme was great, but if you have a part of the collection that isn’t going anywhere.
It’s hardly surprising they lost this one, though.
A bit dramatic? Maybe. Still a sad thing to see nevertheless.
It just makes me a bit concerned since we dont know what licenses we will get in the future that will pull out after some time, it holds a huge amount of FOMO over people's heads and just feels bad for players who are a fan of licensed stuff that miss out.

Made For This gives you +3% Haste.
Play With Your Food gives you +15% Haste when you take the time to maximize it.
There is a distinct difference there for a reason.
-
Franklin's Demise on Pinhead is pretty overrated in my opinion. It effectively is a waste of a perk slot since you start a Chain Hunt early but you are probably going to get the Box anyways. I think Hoarder is a bit better, but still mid-tier on Pinhead like Franklin's Demise is.
This is also ignoring the idea that when you down the Survivor with the Box to get a Chain Hunt active, you can use that to snowball for more pressure, Franklin's Demise kind of removes that to an extent, it also causes the Box to generally spawn faster when you try to snowball.

Ok. Got it! Survs are suppose to lose, right?
Wesker was made to collide into walls and objects and not just slide or don't collide at all with these things.
Fun is indeed subjective, but by exploiting glitches... this kind of "fun" is the same as using cheats.
I enjoy facing against it, there are more things to think about and consider within a chase. Techs like these make the game more interesting for both sides, providing new ways of play and counterplay.
Also comparing it to "cheats" is objectively wrong. This is something that is in the game. It's not a 3rd party program, it's not some alternative software, it's hard-coded in the game because it literally is the game. If BHVR thinks it is an issue, they will fix it, but they havent, and this has been in the game for a really long time now.
-
Ah cool, a video where people learn a Killer to the point to where they can do unbelieve things that make his power more interactive and fun to play against. Something that can express the passion they have for a Killer and show off their knowledge and mechanic skill.
Oh wait, you say they are "exploiting to win" (according to you)? Nah, it's not always about winning, half of the Wesker mains Ive seen do this stuff talk specifically about having fun and hitting clips, they do not care about winning, if they cared about winning, theyd be playing Nurse and Blight.
But of course, we can never have good things in the DBD community because someone is bound to complain about some niche thing that most people dont care about.
-
I think my main issue with EMPs is that they work for others. When playing in SWFs, it felt way too easy to just remove all progress Hux made in chase since we could always have someone on standby with an EMP.
They would always just waste their time setting up infection, only to have it all removed, and effectively have a complete restart to a chase with no consequence. You could argue "but only 2 people are doing Generators" but it's not that hard to bring a Commodious Toolbox anyways.
-
HUX-A7-13 was a robot manufactured by Huxlee Industries Ltd, it is a robot that is consider self-sustaining since it has the ability to consume biomatter to turn into biofuel. It was exploring the surface of an alien planet when it came across a piece of alien technology, and when interacting with it, the AI in Hux had been changed, or "enlightened" as it is put.
It took control of a genmat gun which was used in a cloning/flesh device to give itself characters of a living creature, using what is presumed to be dead crewmates for their genetic material, with Hux's ideal form being a hybrid between humanity and machine, "with the weakness of neither".
Hux, itself, is not really alien, since it was created by humans, or human clones, but was only altered or affected by it.

I’m talking about the scenario where your bear trap is activated and she sees you, but instead of chasing you off the box, she simply crouches and follows you. When she does this, you won’t be in chase so the timer still ticks. She’ll let you do the box but then down you right before you finish. She can either hook you again or carry you until you wiggle off, and then she can repeat it until you die. Isn’t that just a gg?
Stay slugged, Survivors do all Generators and leave through the Exit Gates, leave you to go and get the Hatch when you are the final Survivor remaining, suggesting that they only want you specifically.
Typically with Pig, you want to avoid revealing what boxes youve searched and which boxes you havent searched. Paying attention and avoiding heavily exposed Jigsaw Boxes can help with this, spreading your Jigsaw Boxes can sometimes help in these situations because they become harder for Pig to defend if they are aware of the remaining JBs you need.

Sounds like you didn't use enough emp's

Yea, honestly 3-gen'ing with Singularity is very weak sauce, if a bunch of uncoordinated people (including myself) can deal with it in SoloQ without thinking, or dare I say using my brain at all, then 3-gen'ing is clearly not an issue with this Killer.
I really think BHVR just needs to bite the bullet here and nerf EMPs though, even if it technically buffs 3-gen'ing with Hux, his chase power is just a bit too weak with current EMPs, when playing SWFs they effectively just had no power for most of the match.
The only matches we lost were from hard camping/tunneling but if they are at 1-2 hooks with 4 Generators completed, it makes perfect sense as to why they are doing it, unfortunately we just have 2 combined braincells and choke heavily when it happens.

I usually don't read the base lore of killers so I'm not surprised I missed that, usually I wait until the killers tome to come out before I decide to consider reading the lore.
To be fair, with how they are doing the lore nowadays, I can get this.
Since they basically started releasing half of the lore on the Chapter release, and finishing the story when the Tome releases. They did it with Knight, they did it with Skull Merchant, they will probably do it with Hux as well.
-
Hux kind of sucks as a 3-gen Killer.
EMPs are way too easy to get your hands on, and you can easily shut down any attempts to camp a 3-gen. Had a match earlier in SoloQ (before I did some SWFs) and we easily beat a Singularity that was camping a 3-gen since they had to take time to replace Biopods constantly, and EMPs just denied them their power entirely.
In a SWF setting, he effectively has no power, when playing some games with some friends, it was way too easy to just deny him of literally everything. "Oh, but you were trying too hard, what about teams that dont try," trust me, we have 2 braincells when we all use our brains together, if we can deny the Singularity of their power, then something is clearly wrong there.
-
@Wexton said:
I see a lot of people call it hux, have no idea where that came from. Rapidmain calls it the goop man, so that's what I call it.
Singularity's name is literally HUX-A7-13, as it was manufactured at Huxlee Industries Ltd, with A7 being the 13th iteration of a humanoid robot. Aka, it's called Hux in their lore, but if you arent a lore person it can be something you skip over easily, the lore mostly used "Hux" because "HUX-A7-13" would be way too long to put every single time you refer to the Singularity.

My main build is Surveillance so I can know if survivors return to generators, Knock Out for Pressure On Slugs and so I can Pressure Other Generators, Jolt For Slowdown/Regression which also combos well with Surveillance, and for Survivor Information I run either Thwack or Face The Darkness.
It gets me 4ks all the time.
I actually wonder, with the new Chapter releasing, is Forced Hesitation a good replacement for Knock Out on that build?
20% Hindered is insane, especially on a Killer like Spirit, but not too sure if the 16-meter range makes it worth using or not.
-
@Spirit_IsTheBest said:
I use it on Spirit all the time, the information the perk gives you is really powerful.
With Spirit, by main build is: Jolt, Surveillance, Hex: Face The Darkness, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt.
With Spirit, having at least one Survivor injured is pretty much easy, you basically have Hex: Face The Darkness up for most of the match, and with the smaller Terror Radius, you have the ability to proc the screaming effect more consistently (and it can proc mid-chase since the Terror Radius is where the Husk is while phasing, not where the Spirit actually is, and since it is a screaming-based information perk, it helps you in chase even if you dont get the Aura Reading).
Hex: Thrill of the Hunt makes totems take 28 seconds to cleanse, and since Hex: Face The Darkness takes 25 seconds to make you scream, you physically cannot cleanse H:TOTH while H:FTD is up, and you cant cleanse H:FTD while H:TOTH is up. You literally do not have to worry about totem defense the entire match, and get free information the entire time.
Jolt and Surveillance is a given, it's free information and regression, and since Spirit is really damn good at ending chases quickly, you can easily start snowballing regression/downs. H:FTD also doubles as a snowballing perk by effectively making hiding impossible; if you have two downed, you will know where the other two Survivors are. Best part is if H:FTD and H:TOTH do get cleansed somehow, Jolt and Surveillance are strong enough on their own with Spirit to do well.
-
My issue with Singularity is EMPs, it feels way to easy to get your hand on them in my opinion.
Just had a match where a guy kept EMPing my stuff and tbagging/emoting all the time, in chase, they would follow along with EMPs or have a teammate follow along, so it felt like I had no power. The guy DDOSed me because I mindgamed them and hit them through shack window when they were hugging the outer wall of shack.
Post-game I learned that he was partied up with two cheaters, who had perma auras on me the entire time. Their accounts also said "I dont care if I get banned, Ill be back with another account" with a lot of comments on their accounts complaining about cheating.
Hux is fun, when you can get his power to work, but it can be difficult since most teams just spam EMPs as much as possible. At times you can feel powerless, while others, you feel unstoppable. I think BHVR needs to work on evening out his kit a bit.
-
"Singularity is D-Tier", "It's power is top tier for camping", and "Only used the Biopods like Cameras" tells me everything I need to know.
Just because you fundamentally do not understand how the play the Killer does not make them weak, let me question you this, is Nurse "weak" because some people suck at her? No, we see people play Nurse at the top level and comp for a reason, because she is one of the strongest Killers in the game.
The issue that you are having is that Singularity's Biopods are not like Cameras, you can infect Survivors with them, and it forces them to respect the sightlines of them. And once a Survivor is infect, you can directly hit them with your ability (no need to use Biopods) to teleport to them. Placement is insanely important to get that initial infection, and if your placement sucks, you will be punished heavily.
Also their Biopods shoot significantly slower when near a hooked Survivor, making his ability to camp not as strong as people make it out to be. Yes you can get information from it, but unless you are sitting right by the hooked Survivor you have no realistic way to capitalize on that information... which basically means you have to actually camp for them to be good at camping... which effectively accomplishes nothing productive.
A lot of other stuff isnt really listed in their power, the description could be improved, but it takes like 5-minutes of research to learn how to use their power on a basic level.
-
The easiest solution, in my opinion, is make it so the Haste effect does not stack with other Haste effects, it solves a lot of problems with the perk.
-

I thought that was a given and a good thing. Nuke camping and tunneling from orbit and then buff Killers. It'll make for a far healthier game.
It is a good thing, it makes the game more interesting for Killers and Survivors, it adds more depth to gameplay, and pushes the game to be focused around chases for both sides.
I think most people would prefer it. There are going to be people who disagree, but they are a small group, and a small group for a reason.

While they match MAY almost be over, it does not deprive it of value.
Let me paint you a scenario that happened recently; Huntress on Lery's, teammates were unhooking in front of the Killer constantly and never gave the Killer time to leave, 1 Generators as left, the only 2 Survivors remaining are me and my friend, both of us are on death hook.
The Generator has 97% progress, I loop them for a good bit, almost for the full duration of the Generator but I find myself in a rough position since Im at the corner of the map and the Huntress has her hatchet pulled with two straight hallways (no doorways to hide), the final Generator is completed, I am forced to make a decision, so I run into the open, and since I am provided Haste buff, I can round the corner without being hit by the hatchet, just barely escaping death.
I escaped that match entirely because of Hope and my friend's willingness to not give up.
Yes this is one scenario, in fact, probably the best possible scenario for Hope, but I can think of hundreds of situations where I barely escape because of Hope. It's not "a toy", nor it is it unnecessary for being at the endgame, it can completely change the outcome of the match which is why I believe it is really strong and even underrated.
-

enjoyable perk especially on indoor maps where you can cut corners easily
basically uncatchable by a 110 speed
It can be helpful, pair it with Resilience and some Exhaustion perk and most Killers will not catch you in the endgame unless you run yourself into a complete deadzone.
And even when not in chase, it works well as a support perk since it lets you open gates quicker and reach teammates to help bodyblock faster.
Adrenaline provides one instance of value, but Hope provides consistent value where applicable, which is why I love it significantly more.

I think Backwater Swamp has one of the worst reworks.

Keep in mind, BHVR is split into multiple parts, that all work on different things, and miscommunication and mix-ups happen sometimes.

If a Survivor DCs or dies on hook extremely early, there should be a BP incentive to at least play the match out.
Or better yet, to just find ways to incentive playing the out match more. Since I just really want to play DBD for a single day without worrying about DCing/giving up.
-
DBD has optimization issues.
Even with performance enhancing stuff on PC, the game still struggles a lot on high end PCs compared to other games.
Frankly the only way to increase the FPS (in my opinion) is for BHVR to completely recode their entire game since the game has a lot of outdated code (since it is 7 years old after all).

I just finished a game on cowshed using a meme trapper build (padded jaws with coffee ground sloppy, stbfl, corrupt, plaything) and got a 3k with a hatch escape...one of the people who died proceeded to message me and tell me that trapper is overpowered.
i asked why and he/she said there is no way around trappers traps (never mind that the survivors were escaping the traps without getting hurt when i wasnt near in 4 occasions...i told them to just watch their feet and be mindful of their looping and there are worse killers to face in the game.
so i realize this survivor chose the map, complained about a meme trapper build, and then said if i was a real killer i would have gotten a 4k that i suck and i was trash ^_^. all i said was gg and play killer sometime if you think it is easy.
their last reply was why would i play killer?
easily my favorite post match discussion...the entitlement just made me laugh guess i should play a weaker killer but dont know who to choose since big brain plays arent allowed.
what are the communities favorite post match discussion?
Allow me to set the stage...
(As required by Forums TOS, and because I want to, the name of this person has been hidden, anyone else uninvolved wont have their names hidden since there is nothing negative involving them.)
Guy loses to Plague meme build (Sloppy Butcher, Leverage, SH: Gift of Pain, and Forced Penance), complains in the post-game chat that Plague is overpowered. Their STEAM Profile says that they insta-DC if they see a Plague, Blackward, or bad Map Offering (basically just Mary's Letter).
The only reason why I snowballed into a 2K was because they kept trying to Flashlight save while infected so I could hear them coughing. They basically fed me hook states the entire game and I ended up with 10 total hooks. 2 of their teammates were actually really damn good, amazing players, the P16 Ada and P3 Dwight specifically, they countered me pretty well, and they even escaped, but their other teammates did weigh them down.
They also complained that I was slugging when ya know, they are right there with Flashlights. They told me to "eat the Flashlight save" (they unironically said this) because "slugging to prevent it is cringe" (I wish I was joking). I seriously dont know how people can act like children in a online game and not care for their own public image... speaking of public image, look at this "-rep" they left.
Stuff like this is interesting, but also just concerning, since I hope people know that acting like this can really turn away new or less-experienced players away from the game. DBD is fun, but people like this just sour the experience. Even after an unpleasant match, seeing wholesome post-game chats just brightens my mood completely, you just never really see it too much sadly.
This being said... why is this my favorite? Well... Idk really. A lot of my "post-game" chats happen in TTV Chats since I mostly talk with people that stream for a bit, but most of those conversations are long and outside of the game. But this one thing left a lasting impression with me, and even had me changed my STEAM Profile.
My STEAM Profile now has "Also, if you are here to leave a -rep on my account, I would kindly urge you to take a break from whatever game you are playing, since it clearly is not good for your mental health if you go to that length to do so. ːskheartː " for anyone wondering. And it's advice that I give people who are upset with the game still till this day.

Absolutely not. It's already too short. If you disconnect often enough to the point where it starts bothering you should just stop doing that.
The 5-minute, 15-minute, and 1-hour DC penalties are perfectly fine in my opinion, but anything longer is a bit overkill.
And back when DDOSing was an issue, DC penalties would get really high, I think there is a certain point that they should exceed because it just becomes too much.
And if someone is naturally busy, these DC penalty durations are perfectly fine to have in the game (in my opinion), especially if a bot is going to replace them now, but again, anything more is overkill.
