And what are you suggesting survivors do to make killers have more enjoyable games in return?
At least killers can still play the game... I still have more fun getting "gen rushed" as killer than I do getting camped as survivor. The killer can literally keep you from playing the game. I think they mentioned trying to come up with a solution pretty recently.
-
It's going to get less scary each time you play. Nothing would make this game scary to me again.

Don't use survivor and strong in same sentence. They will immediately bring any bs to distract you from nerfing Dh and it doesn't matter if every single lobby has 3-4 Dh users.
It's totally not busted.
"It's totally not busted"- Glad we can agree.

It's like survivors have been doing this for years.

I think we're done here. 🤦♂️

Have you been playing Killer? How do you know they just didn't walk away from the totems they couldn't snuff? I am speaking from watching what is considered the top DBD players, playing as killer on stream today. Where thousands of other people are seeing boon totems impossible to be snuffed, additionally their frustrations that the boon totems can't be snuffed.
The totems are no longer lit when they are snuffed... It's pretty obvious. I haven't seen any killer have trouble with them in my games.Yeah, I play killer and I haven't seen a blessed totem I couldn't snuff.
-
It's not something I've seen and I've played for hours with the new perks. Every killer has been able to take out the blessed totems in the games I played. They aren't gonna just remove 2 out of 3 perks that comes with the new survivor for obvious reasons (it isn't even needed imo tho).

Survivors: why are mah que times lasting for 4 hours???
I don't know about you guys, but I have almost instant survivor queue times (no matter the time). My killer queues are usually longer.

"I didnt kill that guy, i just asked this person to do it" is basically the same.
Youre still guilty in the end.
And so BHVR "promoting it cause its in the contract" still makes them guilty of supporting NFT in the end, even if it isnt directly in the game
Yep. Well said.

With as heavily skewed in favor of survivor this game is in its current state. It damn sure is fun to get kills in any way possible
If you wanna do that every game, then go for it. I don't see how that's fun, but whatever. You can play however you want.

@thrawn3054 said:
These comments, I swear nobody has a sense of this games history anymore.
@topic since mmr why would killers do otherwise? All the system cares about is kills now. It's practically begging you to tunnel.
For fun? It can't be fun tunneling and camping in every single game you play...

Um, yes. Yes I am saying you have time.
I'm getting the hint we play in completely different MMR.
Ignoring that, you know all that time survivors spend sitting in the exit gate after it's open? To either get hit out, or teabag and what-have-you? The time you spend doing that should be put into doing dulls. So once again, yes. You have time as a solo survivor to do totems or insure others are if it bothers them that much.
People don't NOT do dulls because "the game is so close" they don't do it because people would rather slam gens. Most good survivors either don't do ALL of them, or do none and just remember where they are in case NOED is in play at the end. In nearly all high MMR games the only way a killer gets away with a 3 or 4k is greed on the survivors side. That's the only way. You greed for altruistic plays, or slamming gens even near a killer.
I play a lot of games where I simply don't have time to do totems... my whole team would die if I did.
-
It can also mean an increase in power level as a result of adjustments to game mechanics. DH is still the same perk. It just works more often.
-
DH is fine the way it is. It hasn't received any buffs and it doesn't need one.
-
I don't usually agree with a lot of your posts, but I agree with this. NOED does need some changes. I am not sure what they could do, though.
-
I swear I don't know why I visit these forums sometimes, lol. It will rot your brain 😫

Clearly survivor player. Gens are broken. Entered a match yesterday three times in a row guess what 2 gens simultaneously pop within 2 minutes. How is this fine. That's before I could move too far from my spawn location
"You have a different opinion, so you must be a survivor main!!"- Nope! I play both 50\50. Gens are fine. The devs could look at making certain maps smaller and survivor spawn locations. That's all. They aren't gonna touch gen speeds because it isn't needed.
-
@ThanksForDaily said:
Devs in the latest QnA said that they don't touch gen speeds.
So, are you taking a break forever?
They aren't gonna touch them because it isn't needed. Making gens take longer would just make people quit or play killer. Gens are the most boring thing in the game.

They aren't lmao
I disagree. Survivor spawns could be looked at, but I do believe gen speeds are 100% fine.
-
@thrawn3054 said:
No, but I'll also stop using them as soon as I get the trophy for blessing hexes. In my opinion they're not worth running. Too much of a time sink for the value you get.
Agreed. They usually hurt more than they help (at least in my games).
-
Hackers are a big problem right now. Just ran into one tonight (made it so I couldn't be injured). I'm honestly worried about getting banned because of it. I think I'm gonna take a break.
EDIT: Gen speeds are fine.
-
Nope. The boons are fine. If anything, I'm dying more often because of them. My teammates would rather keep relighting boons over and over instead of doing gens. It's ridiculous right now

Are you a god Nurse, or do you have 7K hours on the game? I just find it difficult to believe playing this game properly is fun, once you get to a certain level of MMR.
I don't have to win every game to have fun. I find it weird that so many people think like this.

So it wouldn't matter if this was reverted.
The perk works now and you shouldn't end up on the ground exhausted as often. I don't know what you're getting at here. It is not stronger and has not received any buffs. It just works like it's suppose to now, that's it.
-
@Dino7281 said:

Yeah, exactly, they are basically self-caring, without that perk. So 1 survivor, using 1 perk, gives everyone else free perk.
And you think it's not my problem, when I waste time of 1 survivors instead of 2 per each hit? That's a big deal and lot of possible gen progress.
I'd rather they self care than work on gens... it's not a big deal.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Yeah people are heavilly underestimating just how much of a time investment it is for survivors.
And while yes i have lost a couple of matches cause of boons. Most of my experience against them is that the survivors waste so much time setting them up that gens just aren't getting done.
The power is there but they are straight up detrimental to the team if the person running them is using them wrong.
Compared to what the meta was before boons are the healthiest strong perk survivors ever had. Powerfull but with a cost and good counterplay if the killer player bothered to learn totem spawns
Exactly! Couldn't have said it better myself. Agreed.

@VikingDragonXii said:
Don't forget they nerfed Thrill of the Hunt so now Killers don't get a notification when someone is messing with a Hex.
And the few of you saying "I don't see a Issue because it only takes a few seconds to snuff out" is not a valid point because those Boons can be re blessed as many times as there are Dull Totems. So if a killer wants to keep those boons under control they have to use up their limited time that they need to apply pressure.
I usually don't even feel the need to destroy them because they just don't feel that powerful to me.
-
@jarjargist21 said:
I honestly do. To the simple fact that devs are hypocrites.
I'm just saying hex undying did that for killers at one point. And now survivors have that power and more, it honestly makes it worse for balancing and also the fact that survivors can do it multiple times.
I would feel like it would be fair if undying worked like it did in the past
Or nerf the boon totems where they can only have one use and they only reuse it if the killer sniff out the boon totem.
Or allow killers to destroy the totems after the sniff it out.
Don't get me wrong I do love the new survivor and I have a lot of fun playing her. But I'm trying to keep opinion fair on both sides
Hex: Undying was much, much stronger than boon totems (hex perks affect the whole map and every survivor). Killers can can hear the loud boon totems and destroy them in like a second. I say they are fair atm
-
@thrawn3054 said:
Not unless there's a squad running them. They're so easy to stomp and the range is too small for them to be able to be used conveniently. They're by no means weak, but in a solo situation the trade off isn't worth it.
This. I really don't get the hate. I tried using them earlier and the killer just kept destroying them. It really isn't worth the time in my opinion. I'm not saying they are weak, but I don't think they are nearly as strong as people are saying.
-
The perks are fine. I don't even think they need any changes if I'm being honest.
-
@ClumsyTrapper said:
It's an okay perk idc if survivors wanna spend 2 or 3 gens worth of time lighting boons
Yep. People don't realize that time spent blessing totems/healing= less time on gens. It's not OP at all.

exactly. the more bs is added to this game for the survivors, the less I want to play normally and instead do something like facecamp bubba or basement trapper. because chasing is becoming the most boring and frustrating thing.
You do you. I'll still play killer and have fun. You can sit in the basement and keep feeling sorry for yourself, lol.

That's like saying the pallet validation change wasn't a buff to Survivors.
It's still a buff the perk really didn't need.
Seriously? I'm sorry, but this is just stupid. DH absolutely needed this change. Do you honestly think DH not working and the survivor being exhausted on the ground is fine? It's not.

Around 0:55, Kate & Bill body block hook for me, so unnecessary, since I was so close to the hook, it was a free pressure for killer.
A single fail decision cost the game. Not talking about skill.
At least they were trying to help, but I can understand how that is frustrating.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
This is obvious. A Survivor running Dead Hard is not making a mistake, they are playing with Dead Hard in mind.
But you will not get far with that against all those Killers.
This 100%. Killers will just yell that DH fixes mistakes until they turn blue, lol. Like you and others have mentioned... this usually isn't the case. People play with DH in mind.

Do survs hate him that much? I never had problem with ds as a character and I'm a guy who mostly play as survivor. He felt like the most balanced killer to me that's why I decided to buy him some time ago. There are more irritating killer mechanics as I mentioned earlier.
Absolutely! He was hated by a lot of people... I hated him too.

Yeah, it's just not even a choice really. How often do you get to a gen when it's 90-99% and chase a survivor off? That's a big play and if you risk finding and snuffing a boon the gen will be done. It's just not worth it.
I usually destroy boons when I'm looking for survivors and I come across one OR I down/hook a survivor, then I'll take a couple of seconds to destroy the boon. I really haven't had a problem with them so far.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:

me too. I can take out a boon in a couple of seconds and they'll have to waste a lot of time blessing a totem again.

Its not a scummy mentality boon are op and when CoH is back killer wont be able to do much. Because its still early in the chapter not everyone have boon unlock on other character so mikaela is a target i would play something else for at least another week for now if i were you
It is scummy and boon perks are fine.

Ok if we're purely talking about camping and tunneling then we have no discussion to have. Camping and tunneling are legitimate strategies even condoned by BHVR.
Take a look at @Dino7281's post.
-
@TunnelVision said:
BHVR need to do something about gen rushing. It's no fun playing a 5 minute game because survivors focus on nothing but their objective...
See, it works both ways.
This is about camping/tunneling. No one said killers don't deal with unfun things as well. This isn't the thread.
-
I think it really has gotten to the point where the devs need to do something about it.
-
@Bardon said:
Hopefully not until they make it more reasonable, but I'm not holding my breath this IS BHVR after all.
Oh please. It's fine the way it is. It takes a while to bless a totem, then you need to be near the totem to heal (not counting the time it takes to run over to said totem and the time it takes to heal). More time healing/blessing totems= less time on gens. You guys cry wayyy too much.
