  • I think they should increase the min/max number of pallets on the map, sometimes I spawn into a map on top of a generator that is basically on a dead zone with no nearby structures and no pallets, it's basically a free hit or a free down (depending on the killer) if they catch you there.

Welp, it's kinda funny that I replied to this thread before I noticed your reply to my old post, haha.

    What are your PC specs?

GTX 1060 with a i5 8400 processor, not a computer expert but is that big of a difference between a 1050ti and a 1060? I forgot to mention that I get those 90 fps while playing full screen on ultra settings so there shouldn't be that much difference...

Same. I have a GTX 1050 Ti, 16GB RAM, and an i5 2500k and still struggle running this game on low graphics, even with the fps cap removed and maximum performance enabled in the control panel.

I've passed all of the recommended requirements yet I'm still struggling. This ain't right man.

Really? I get at least 90 fps with ultra settings on a 1080 monitor.

BBQ is like the one perk that will probably never be touched

It's a perk to help with the grind, there's no way in hell they'll change it. It sells DLCS, people legit buy Bubba purely for it

They also had an oppertunity to change it when they changed Cannibal's perks and they didn't, so I wouldn't worry about it

I bought laurie merely for her decisive strike and they nerfed it, having this as dlc is no guaranteed protection from being nerfed.

  • So you basically went out of your way to do everything possible (equipping perks, items, swf) to gen rush a match which is something that doesn't happen naturally while playing solo? seems like a bad conclusion to me. The average survivor playing solo queue plays with no items most of the times and with no gen speed perks. It also depends on the skill the killer player has to push gens, sometimes not even a full 4 man SWF teams take those perks or items...

Some people love bullying crappy killers. Killers like me. xD

I'm not a good killer and before the crossplay it was very often that I across some people who loved play this way. Some dude rank 19/20 and way more skilled than some rank 1 survivors. They take pleasure by humiliate people this way.

Of course, they trashtalk also after the game. Even if you play fair and avoir any toxic behavior on your side.

But there's also people who legitimately feel like they should play with less skilled people, I sometimes think that too when the experience between the killer I'm facing and me is so massive that we can't even finish a single gen, it even feels worse when you notice at the end of the game that you couldn't even loop a rank 14 killer when you are supposedly rank 1 survivor. Sometimes I share that feeling but I wouldn't de rank or lose on purpose...

  • Its the killer/survivor ratio, there's very few players who want to play killer, that's why survivor queue times are longer than killer.

  • It depends on how you play it, for me it ends up being more of an advantaje than disadvantage most of the times, sometimes I get to hit 2 survivors and still get the hook which is a massive win or you can just use starstruck and no survivor will ever try to bodyblock you if it procs.

  • wraith went from zero to hero, I just added him to the ''I'm scared of being matched against a good: spirit, nurse, hag, freddy '' list. but as of late I just took freddy out of the list and added wraith to it with spirit, hag and nurse

They might as well create a smurf account. You can make infinite of those, and it takes a lot less time than manually de ranking every match. Such a waste of time, for everyone involved really.

That was actually one of my suggestions but wouldn't that force you to buy the game again and if you are playing on pc that means having another steam account doesnt it?

But how will the less experienced survivors/killers get better if they don't get curbstomped by players who completely outclass them? /s

But seriously, matchmaking needs to be fixed. I guess survivors have it easier for deranking. I was already getting red rank survivors back when I was a yellow rank killer, so nothing would change if I tried the same.

Many of the posts I've read pretty much say that they don't really want to get better or be competitive, they just want to play for the fun of it and chill with their friends, so it's nothing they really care for.

Rank is not indicative of skill. Rank means nothing.

gameplay at lower ranks is much harder to stomach than at high ranks.

I agree that rank doesn mean skilll but it has nothing to do with players who think that way and lose on purpose.

  • @justbecause said:

Maybe they should make ranking harder I swear I got to red rank killer in 5 days and surv as well with literally just doing basic objective if they actually put ranking system that requires actual show of skills maybe just maybe this wouldn't be problem but I mostly see they do it intentionally both killers and survivors to get easier matches and leds experienced opposite side

I agree, ranking up should take more time and be harder, I also got to red rank 1 as a survivor within a week of getting the game, the problem that I see here is how wide the gap can be between killers, it's not the same when you have barely 300 hours into the game and you are matched against an equally experienced killer with the same amount of hours versus being matched with a red rank killer with 4000 hours into the game, the experience gap is too much and the game doesn't take that into account when matching players hence lots of players who reach red ranks can sometimes feel like they lose a lot.

I mean, we could bind piping to escaping. So if you don't escape, you won't pip. No matter what. Would that make you happy?

A safety black pip guaranteed when escaping yes, survivors shouldn't be punished for facing a bad killer...

  • The thing here is that behaviour doesn't want to, camping and tunneling is a strategy for killers and nerfing killers in any way would probably hurt their killer population which is already pretty low, you can tell they don't want to because there's a pretty easy fix for it and it's basically making every killer work like pyramid head, they could simply remove hooks and make every killer send you to a random location on the map in a cage, that would pretty much end the camping problem but they obviously don't want that.

  • Most people play games like DBD just because of the ''play with friends'' play style it has, I know that's one of the reasons I started playing and I know lots of small time streamers who play with their friends too, I always prefer to play with someone and I usually get bored when I play solo so I almost never play killer. All the other games I play because of the same reason, League of legends, dota, even fall guys I play because I just like to play with someone while talking on discord, I dislike solo games regardless of how recommended they are or how good graphics are like seikro red dead redemption, etc...

  • Quality over quantity, most survivor perks are useless garbage like light weight, no one left behind etc...

  • @LazyPayday said:

Have you taken into account you're playing on servers you shouldn't be? Your suddenly horrible ping could more easily piss survivors off and give you the advantage in comparison to when you're normally playing on the servers you're supposed to.

Pretty much, I hate playing against foreign killers, They are pretty laggy and it's insufferable to play against them, I disconnect at the first fake hit I take, I wish people stayed at their servers instead of coming to annoy other players...

  • If all killers worked like pyramid head, basically remove all hooks and have the killer send you to a random location on the map will end all tunnelers/campers in my opinion...

  • Where's the quentin mains right? :v

  • I hate the fact that I have bad eyesight and it's pretty much a disadvantage for me to play against this specific killer, my friend can see him coming from far away and evade him pretty easy but I can't, not at least until he is de-cloaking right in front of me.

  • The game has always sucked when it comes to matchmaking, I've played against a full squad of red rank survivors before the mmr system was even mentioned despite the fact that I was a yellow rank killer back then.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/231612/where-does-the-lgbt-part-come-into-this-chapter

There has been no word from bhvr about this chapter being LGBT related - we've said it is something that will come in the future, it was never said it would be this Chapter, this was pure speculation.

That's so sad, I was kinda expecting something related to it, even if it was just mentioned in the characters lore description kinda like gibraltar in apex legends.

  • Past tense for hit is also hit not hitted 🙃

  • I purchased the character just for that 1 perk, I fell like I should be compensated somehow.

  • Play survivor and save blood points until you can get good perks with your favorite killers, perks make a huge difference as killer, that's basically what I did and despite the fact that some matches are still hard for me most of them are way more balanced...

  • I'll settle with something like:

You do not leave pools of blood or scratch marks.

Grunts of Pain caused by injuries are reduced by 100% at any time.

Grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State.

    No.

You can gripe about people wanting to move to the next game when you pay them for their time. They paid for the game, and yeeting out amicably with a legitimate death shouldn't be punished. By that logic, ######### teammates should be punished for being ######### team mates, which is 90% of the time the reason why people die on first hook anyway.

    Yep

If you start amatch then be ready to play it instead of running away and leaving, pretty sure you are the type of player who disconects, so I would mark you as a bad player in my book. And since I paid for my game by your logic I shouldn't be subject to bad players who disconnect since players who do ruin 3 other players experience, you can also whine about it when you pay for my time, that you ruined when you disconected, and running from a match just because you don't like how other people play is not a ''legitimate death'' if you run away from your the slightest of challenges is cowardice...

  • The problem with the first hook kill is that people use it when they want to disconnect but also want to avoid the DC penalty if they close the game, The ones who actually do it intentionally are the ones advocating against it being penalized and they got big numbers so I don't think they will ever implement a penalty against it.

  • Give killers the option to crouch, I want to T-bag them when I down them 🤣

  • They could give more BP to people who play killer to see if that gets more people to play...IDK it would be nice to get more BP after a stressful SWF match.... 😓

  • You think people never thought of this since the perk came out? people know it, it never was meta and probably never will be even after the slight buff. Basically you have to do a bunch of stuff to get the equivalent of a med kit, for that amount of trouble you could just bring a med kit and another perk instead for the added benefit. I've seen players with 4k+ hours trying to play it consistently and only getting it to activate once per match if they are lucky which is in itself a pretty low value for the trouble you have to go trough to activate it.

  • I agree, it gets super frustrating especially when you are trying to get a specific perk with a character and it just wont come out, and when it does you have to basically get it 3 times and it take s multiple Bloodwebs to level it up...

  • Lmao ''good game'' should have waited to know how the game was gonna be before opening your mouth, now you look like 🤡

  • Queue times for survivors are already a whooping 10 to 15 minutes to find a match, and SWF have longer times since some killers lobby dodge if they get the hunch that they are going up against a team, if thyey separate the queues swf will probably have to wait longer for a match.

  • Leatherface, Hag, Twins, but I don't know if hag counts since she is not really camping when she uses her ability.

Yes because CLEARLY coup de grâce and gearhead needed nerfs.

Not really, companies often do things that may look stupid to people (Had that happen to me at the company I work for, for example if you order something and want to cancel it before it even ships my company would rather stick to their policy and ship it first to you and then you ship it back , you would think it's a stupid idea because why lose money shipping the item and sending it back if it has yet to leave the warehouse if it's costing the company money?) but that's just how it goes for some big companies. pretty sure some dev had the ingenious idea of nerfing those perks for some stupid reason and the idea went trough somehow...

I think you are also underestimating how deep they can dig, with the company I work for I can tell by a simple look at my computer screen how often you go to one of our stores, if you went there alone or with friends, at what time you arrive, at what time you leave, what items you purchased, at what register you paid for the items, which employee attended you, if you use a credit card we know your address and stuff like that. it's not even expensive or complex, it's jutst part of the system most companies have... if they have the data for kill rates pretty sure they have everything else just that some times companies do stu*id shi*....

  • Lots of killers lobby dodge a lot, I've seen small time streamers lobby dodge like 15 times in a row, because they didn't like the fact that the survivors had flashlights, or they had a key, or they suspected them of being a SWF team. Not only there's a shortage of killer players but the fact a lot of them lobby dodge a bunch of times makes queue times longer. Maybe they should not allow killers to know what items the survivors are carrying.

  • I think the opposite, I think they know exactly what they are dealing with down to the last number, basically doing it with tracking programs like the automated system that issues a ban if you disconnect, you think they have that automated system without gathering the info? heck they probably have the real life info of anyone who makes a purchase using a credit card ( I work for a big company and we have all that info stored despite the fact that we tell customers we don't have it) they just don't want to reveal all the data.

They probably have exact data about every match and that's the reason why they are constantly buffing survivors and nerfing killers is because they know the exact numbers of optimal games played taking away disconnects, afk and stuff like that, If numbers were on the survivor's side I doubt they would nerf killers as hard the way they do it.

Have you been hiding under a rock?

They just announced a buff to Open Handed & Second Wind.

Mostly talking to their kit as a whole, if only those perks are being looked at then they also need to do something about their other 2 perks.

  • There is something wrong with the ranking system, My friend plays as a red rank 3 killer and gets matched mostly against green and sometimes even yellow rank survivors, I play as a yellow rank 13 killer and they match me against mostly red rank survivors, It's like they are matching us completely backwards.

    20210102024942_1.jpg

  • I play both, I play DBD on my pc and identity on my phone, Identity feels unique to me but kinda childish, I wish they updated their graphics.

  • Agree, I don't like being forced to do some rituals so I always try to recycle them, the problem with killer rituals is that they are more specific than survivor rituals...sometimes I recycle one just to get another one that I also dislike and I end up with 3 rituals stuck in my inventory.

I wish killer rituals were more general like survivor rituals (sabotage hooks, open exit gates, etc) that's something you can do with any survivor, on the other hand killer rituals are specific with the killer you have to play (chainsaw 3 survivors, catch 3 Survivors in a Bear Trap, etc) sometimes you get a ritual for a killer that you have no interest in playing or even leveling up so I have to wait for the next day to recycle them and if I get another ritual for a killer I dislike then I get to get stuck again or try to do the ritual playing a level 1 perkless killer and having a boring match for myself and probably getting humilliated and de-piping my killer rank in the process too just for the sake of getting some blood points....

  • I have mixed feelings about this, sometimes I want this to be implemented because I want to coordinate with the team but there's also that guy who doesn't approve or doesn't like the perks you want to use.

Sometimes people are biased, if we win the match they don't give a hoot about your perks and move on without saying anything in the chat, but if we lose they are quick to complain about your perks and your perfomance. I had so many bad experiences during the end game chat because sometimes I run a ''not so meta'' set of perks so IDK 😥

  • It depends on when you play, it takes me up to 15 - 20 minutes to find a match as survivor when playing at night during the week, like from 9:00 pm and above those hours...

  • Yes you are correct in being wrong, it was mostly killer buffs/fixes...

  • Warframe, Second extinction, The forest, apex legends, saint seiya awakening, Identity V (dead by daylight but with a coraline/goosebumps ''horror'' type of feeling) for mobile.

  • I don't understand where this ''console survivors are all bad'' reputation comes from? I've had good console team mates and bad pc team mates too, we all suck at some point whether we are from pc or console...

  • Agree, the old hud is nice, all they had to do in my opinion was add the hook counter to it instead of moving it all over the screen...
