I feel exhaustion perks are fine, the only one that should be reworked is Adrenaline. I hate that perk so damn much, it's so unfair to killers who only got one, maybe two kills and is in a chase with someone that is about to go down but then they'll be halfway across the map fully healed and nowhere where still chasing them is a viable option. I'd be fine with it not letting you get the sprint burt while exhausted but you still heal a health state. That would be super balanced because it would make survivors save their exhaustion when there's only one gen left.

It would honestly be a very solid perk if it did, but I would keep the without a med-kit part. So the tiers would be 50/75/Fully. There are so many perks that with slight changes can be pretty good. I am honestly tired of the same perks seeing every game.
Why wasn’t Deja Vu reworked to Felix’s new perk? the one where it shows you the nearest gens. I doubt anybody would use this perk aside from new players.
I feel it would be too powerful if it would heal you fully after only one heal. And this isn't just because I'm a killer main. Healing someone takes 15 seconds, by healing two people with solidarity it takes 30 seconds to heal three people and you save 15 seconds. That may not sound like alot but think about how fast your chases can take, some of the fastest chases I've ever had take around 10-15 seconds. 15 seconds can save your life by giving you and others an extra health state.

I saw that when it came out, it still doesn't change the fact that Discordance notified me at least two people were working on a gen before I could even move, it was still spinning the camera. Before I could even get to the gen it popped. There was nothing I could do about this.

Lol most PC players have been below average in skill at all ranks. Than again the amount of hours I have played is a lot higher than most people. A lot of PC player's seem to assume that because a PC has better specs it naturally makes them better 😉 clearly a entitled mindset that has been proven wrong time and time again across many games.
Ormond is just trash galore.
No but he is right, playing on mouse and keyboard vs playing on controller is a huge advantage. Controller players can lose people super easily when the get 360'd because we can't turn our heads around super fast and if we turn up sensitivity we lose the ability to turn slowly making us lose survivors more often.

That can be done with any group of solo survivors at high rank. If good survivors know that you have no basement pressure, no NOED, haven't been hooked prior, have DS, and most importantly, they feel that you're not top tier, they will harass you. What you described does not mean it's at least a 3-man SWF; this is top tier survivor gameplay and they don't have to be in a SWF to do it. Maybe you don't experience this on console or maybe you don't regularly go against rank 1s, but this type of gameplay happens all the time on PC in similar scenarios. You learn from it, and maybe down the road you'll get 1 or 2 kills from their failed head on attempt.
One, they didn't know I didn't have NOED, I downed the Dwight before they popped last gen. And secondly, this is my first time in a while not being rank one. Before crossplay I was rank one for half a year. So you can drop your petty, "they weren't a SWF you're just #########" because if I had chat I garentee if I asked if they were a SWF they would've said yes.
-
@Schinsly said:
youre playing spirit and youre rank 7, if you played better you would have won. simple as that
I played best as I could. Before crossplay happened I was rank one for a good few months and then after crossplay I kept getting matched with either SWF or just people that are literally gods with 10,000 hours in the game.

@steezo_de said:
I don't know if these guys were truly SWF or not, but to pull off what you said can be done by just good players that clocked in thousands of hours and have good game awareness. I play solo most times and when I was doing this stun challenge, I didn't say anything to the others in the lobby. Luckily my teammates knew what I was doing and ran the killer by multiple times. Also, harassing a camping killer to unhook is standard play in high ranks, at least in games where survivors know what they're doing. Again, this can be done in solo queue. And to be honest, a lot of the best action comes from the chaos in getting the unhook.
Gen speeds. I don't know, wasn't there to see what you saw, but if you go back and watch the streamer's VOD, you might learn a lot.
It doesn't help that you were going against 1s and not purple ranks. These may have been true rank 1s.
Yes, like you said I can't be sure if they were or weren't a SWF but I feel that when they tried to head on me two different times with two different people and two people entered the basement at the same time shows that they were at least a three man SWF.

Good swfs are rare tho. 2000h ago I saw the last good swf. :^) you must be veey unlucky.
We must not be playing on the same servers them or you must not have crossplay on or something because I have gone against two sweaty 4 man's on ormond in two days.
-
@ALostPuppy said:
So they did gens fast while you were chasing one guy, and you then fell for the most obvious "survivor runs in front of locker" head-on play? Well now you know to look out for that in the future lol. But you were on Ormond so if the survivors were any good, which it seems like they were, the match was already lost. Not much you can do about it, Ormond is still such a trash map for killer and it needs a rework along with the killer it came with
First gen I literally couldn't do anything about, and when you being chased down by a large rolling object your brain doesn't think strafe left or right, it just thinks keep running, I wasn't thinking clearly because I was stressing out and wanted to get a single kill, I thought he went to the corner because he thought I didn't see him.

It's barely been different for me, it's still the same sweaty high rank teams you'd face on console.
They jukes were a bit different, but they're always so easy to deal with once you just predict them.
If you're really doing that bad every game, it might just be you.
Or, you're making this all up to try and use crossplay to persuade the devs into survivor nerfs.
Nah I'm not trying to trick the devs into nerfing survs, I was just real salty after that game that I lost because of a SWF. I post some really controversial things when I'm salty.
-
@TKTK said:
That DS nerf is too much, leave the timer the way it is 60 secs, even the stun 5 secs and just make it to where if the killer is chasing the person that got unhooked it pauses the timer and if the person is doing anything the time goes down twice as fast since they are obviously not being tunneled or if the killer hooks someone else the other person's is disabled until they get unhooked so 2 DS can't be active at one time.
I'd like it to do what it's supposed to do which is be an antitunneling perk, but not a weapon to abuse and punish the killer for playing too well by destroying his momentum.
I knew I was forgetting something a BD that something was having it cancel after you hook someone else, thanks! And I do like the idea of the twice as fast timer when not in chase, although what if you're like, wraith and stay cloaked? They can't do anything about it because 1. You don't start chases while cloaked and 2. If they stop to mend then you'll just come out of cloak and down them.
-
Disisive Strike, after you're unhooked, for 40/50/60 seconds of you get grabbed a skill check appears, hitting the skill check will make you escape from the killer's grasp and stun the killer. Can only be used once.
-
@Peanits said:
To say more than ever is a bit of a stretch. Let's not forget that back in the day, Sprint Burst had a 20 second cooldown and recharged while sprinting, double pallets were everywhere, infinites were actually infinites and not just a buzz word that gets thrown around for a strong-ish loop, you could self care faster than the killer could hit you, and Decisive Strike was always active no matter what.
That said, though, as other have mentioned, you can disable crossplay if you feel it's making the experience worse for you. We do not mean to force it on you. If you're in a lobby, the option will appear greyed out. If you head back to the main menu, you'll be able to untick the box and opt out.
Yeah sorry about this entire post, most times when I post it's because I got absolutely dunked on by a sweaty group of survivors, most times it's not even a SWF. Sorry if I did offend you in any way, I know that this game used to be incredibly unbalanced for killer and we currently pretty much have a cakewalk every match compared to what matches used to be. I have anger issues and sometimes it can be really hard to control them. This being said I do think that SWF does need a nerf, I understand that thinking of a way to do this is next to impossible because the number one strength of SWF, comms, you guys have no control of and can't do anything about it. So I'm sorry if while you were reading this you were thinking that the person that wrote this incredibly entitled and toxic because I'm not, or at least try not to be. I love this game so darn much and every single person who has ever helped design it, you guys are amazing game devs. While I'm replying to you, and I'm really really sorry if this seems like a jerk move, I would like to just like to say that you should add a login system to DbD where you have one overarching BHVR account which you can link to this account that saves all of your killers, cosmetics, teachables, and matchmaking info in the cloud so no matter if you have it for switch and PC you can keep everything you had on Switch and transfer it to console without spending another hundred dollars. Sorry if this entire comment seems entitled and like I think I'm the center of the universe and everything revolves around me, I just didn't know if I'd ever get to talk to a dev again and wanted to share that idea with you. Have a lovely day.

Pal, I know how to play, and don't try to flex your rank on me I've been rank 1 for almost 2 months now. It's the fact that genspeed is still an issue even with toolboxes nerfed. If you need to run a perk because otherwise you have at least a fighting chance than your game isn't balanced. I should be able to play without perks on any killer and be able to win without needing pop goes the weasel so gens don't fly away in 2 minuets. Also, the killers that I play aren't what you would call balanced. I main The Wraith and play killers like Legion, Clown, and Trapper the most.
-
@Todgeweiht said:
How do you know you are versing SWF? Have you considered that the reason you are getting bullied may be due to your lack of skill?
You can figure it out based on how fast gens are done, whether or not you see survivors appear and try to take protection hots for somebody you're Ina chase with currently, if someone has OoO and another has sprintburst, how coordinated their entire team is, who their friends are on their profile, and what perks they're running.

Come on, its only farming. Stunned killers also allow one or two flashilght blinds (some even moar). 500bp is 500bp! Dont forget that WGLF will double it all. I love to burn out killers eyeballs. <3
You talk like an ######### survivor main yet your picture is legion. I'm not sure if you're aware but Legion can't use flashlights and Nea isn't a killer, pal.
-
@Pepsidot said:
You presume that survivors are only gonna last 10-15 seconds after using DS and that the killer will keep chasing after you've used it.
Also, your argument doesn't actually make sense. You're basically saying 'don't run DS because it is only a minor inconvenience if killers decide to tunnel you'... of course DS would better the situation if you are being tunneld. Not everyone goes down after a 10 second chase! A good survivor against a loopable killer could waste another minute or so, even if it means wasting a bunch of pallets.
I'm not saying that the killer will 100% keep tunnelling you, he may just eat it and leave you be so he gets it out of the game and he can go chase another survivor.
-
Honestly one of the only reasons I got this rift was because of these wraith face varient charms. I just really like having a charm of the killer I main that I can have three of on the hook.
-
I for one think these changes are great, the only thing I don't like about it is the overall faster recovery speed. If killers need to slug but survivors have a built in unbreakable recovery speed, slugging for pressure becomes ALOT harder because you're shaving 8 seconds off of applying serious pressure. Depending on if the survivor is injured or not, that could be how long a chase occers.
-
@handfulofrain said:
Can you explain Pop more? I'm a bit confused on the wording.
Pop currently gives you 40/50/60 seconds to use it once you hook a survivor to kick a gen, once you kick a gen that gen loses 25% of the total regression no matter what level it's at. I.E. if it was at 25 or below it would instantly regress to zero % repair speed, if it was at 50 is would be 25%, 75 to 50% and so on. What he's suggesting the change should be is instead of always popping 25% across all levels it'll reduce by 20%/22%/25% depending on which level you're on but making it so you always have 60 seconds to use it.
-
You don't need to play a killer or survivor to get their teachables, play someone else and level up the person you need with the BP you earned. For example: I have all of nurses teachables but I didn't even touch her and I never plan to, same goes for Billie.
-
I main Wraith because in games for some reason I like being able to travel around the map unnoticed and sneak up on people, this is the same reason I main spy on TF2. He's also good for mindgames and making sure survivors stay off gens, you can cloak while in chase while making the survivor you were chasing think you're still chasing them so they get super paranoid and you can go find some other survivors. Survivor wise I main Ash because ain't nobody able to compete with Ashley Johanna Williams in the bad ass department.
-
Now this comment doesn't add anything to the post and I'm sorry for not doing so but why the direct hit clown? Why not add on less Myers? You'd save some add ons on clown that way.
-
I don't know why people say that DbD isn't balanced in the sense that survivors have an advantage. It's a pretty balanced game. The only problem that I think with it is survivors can gen rush you and there's nothing you can do about it, you just have to pray that all three survivors you aren't chasing for a couple minutes are on the same gen so you don't go from 5 gens with 0 hooks to 2 gens with only one hook and a wasted pop.
-
@MusicNerd_TC said:
I'm a wraith main as well, and this is amazing advice for a student of the wailing bell. I would also like to add: if the survivor hasn't seen you, bodyblock the nearest window and uncloak, so they can't get much distance.
Yes, I completely agree, and if you're using a good windstorm add-on then try to block survivors from getting to pallets while cloaked in chase.
-
In case you were wondering how many hours in Wraith I have, I have a couple hundred.

Lerys and midwich have some amazing totem spots. Every where else doesn't. I hooked someone and I noticed my DH totem was 3 feet from a gen. The moment someone starts to work on that gen they would see my totem.
Yeah but even then Midwich has a totem that's just in the middle of the hallway by that one office secretary section with the vault and breakable wall.

Forcing a killer to slug still adds momentum.
A downed/slugged survivor is still as useless as one on the hook. Boohoo you couldn't go for the unhooker instead.
Anyone and everyone who complains about DS users....WHY are you going for the unhooked survivor instead of being anywhere else?
Why aren't you patrolling gens? Or initiating your second chase? Stop pretending you're a victim when you know damn well you were proxy camping the hook waiting for the hooked survivor to get unhooked to proceed your tunneling.
Going for a survivor that just got off hook can be advantageous in certain scenarios. With Pyramid Head you can make the survivor tormented, if you have STBFL you can get stacks, same with remember me.
-
You're also forgetting how High tier killers that know what their doing can utilize DS like crazy. Take Pyramid head for example, if you know a survivor has DS and you plant some torment on the ground you can pick up the survivor in a way to which they no longer have DS and now they're tormented. The same goes for killers like clown, plant a bottle, get DS'd, they will be alot closer then if you didn't throw the bottle.

Honestly and this is coming from a rank 1 wraith main but this happened to me all of the time when I was purple and green ranks, but now that I'm red rank I can't get mad with anybody but myself because we're the same rank. This is sadistic, therefore, toxic.
Survivors are toxic all the time, why can't I be? At least I don't camp, although I have an exception if it's endgame and I have zero kills, even then I don't face camp.
-
I love killing people.
-
I'VE GOTTEN BACKWATER SWAMP FIVE TIMES IN A ROW. no.

I had a swf group berating me because I didn't let the last guy alive get the hatch. I was like da fuq kind of logic is that? Did you guys do one less Gen for me just to be nice? 😂
My favorite thing to do is tease survivors and make them think I'm giving hatch so if they don't wiggle I take them to hatch, set them down, and close hatch.
-
Yes, I don't understand why they wouldn't want to take the original Freddy anyways. They could've made Navy the killer but NOOOOOOO, they had to make it Wes Cravens NEW nightmare.
-
Even though they said Chucky wouldn't be possible because of his height I feel that they could make survivors able to see his aura when he's more than 30 meters from you. And his power could be the ability to climb on top of walls and have an audio cue where he jumps down 1 second later after the sound cue and makes you lose a health state.
-
I think that Ghostface needs a nerf, he's too powerful. Also, it's The Cannibal not The Leatherface.
-
No, I don't think slugging itself is toxic anyways, it's just a play style, unless you stand over them and make it so they can't be healed.
-
I would like this a lot more if instead of it being on a "Strongman" he could get on top of walls and jump down on survivors and control them and if they try to escape they will lose a health state, and if they are at a low health state he can just jump down and stab them. And when he's on a survivor he is faster then when he is off a survivor. And when you try to escape Chucky, he gets stunned. When he is on top of the wall you can hear a tiny Chucky chuckle.
-
I like this idea a lot but the only problem I have with it is that the power seems too much like the hag. Maybe it should be like there are bees spread around the map and if you run into them or walk in them you scream and he finds out where you are like the doctor. And they can home in on survivors if they are within a certain range. Also, the one where you see people's auras when they are doing a co-op action seems too much like the nurse's perk, maybe it can be like that but with a shorter range than the nurse's vision. And the Be my victim doesn't seem balanced at all, what if they also run disordinance? Then they would see you working on gens no matter what. Maybe this is only within a certain range to balance it out.
