If he is simply going from gen to gen means that he isn't downing anyone, because if we are talking about survivors with game awareness they should stay healthy before trying to brute force through a 3 gen, that's because if the killer hits them then they can go running to the other side of the map to heal again. If the demo followed someone then good survivors would finish the last gen.
Therefore, since in this situation he shouldn't be downing anyone, then he is only making use only of Call of Brine since other gen regression perks only reward the killer when someone goes down. But again, if the Demo is downing someone and progressing his objective then it is because he is commiting to the chase, which should give plenty of time to break the 3 gen and if he is not then eventually good survivors will also do the last gen since regression is slower and he is only making use of Call of Brine.
And well, you may have thousands of hours in the game, but determination isn't the same as getting results lmao
Well that’s the beauty of solo q and RNG with your teammates skills isn’t it.

I'm sorry, but losing because of a 3 gen is no excuse. Even with Call of Brine, regression is only half of the speed a solo repairing, meaning that for every 2 seconds of regression you would only need one to undo the damage. On a 3 gen scenario, all you have to do is brute force it and when you get hit you go to the other side of the map to heal, which can get really efficient with CoH. If the killer follows you, your teammates finish the gen, if he comes back to the 3 gen just rinse and repeat until the 3 gen is broken. Regression is always slower than progression, so your case is merely a skill issue.
Lmao ok buddy. With multiple thousand hours in the game, I don’t think it’s a skill issue.
When the gens are within spitting distance and they will do nothing but run back and forth kicking gens, you will not be able to break the 3 gen. Especially on a killer like demo that places portals on top of the gens.
Those 4 stacked perks most definitely are not slower regression than anything we could put out.
You saying this just shows you’re most likely the kind of killer that cannot survive matches without 4 regression perks. Feel bad for you son.

CoB and Eruption aren't even in need of nerf. Nerfing it would be just going with the casual players wishes once more. This game without gen regression simply isn't functional and even if CoB and Eruption get nerfed people will probably just stack other forms of gen defense.
I just played against a demo who brought haddonfield, along with CoB, erupt, pain res, and overcharge. He did nothing but patrol the three gen. Game eventually ended because we got bored. It was entirely impossible to complete one of the 3.
He was absolutely terrible in chase, but he was hard carried by his perks. This should not be a thing.
This gen kick meta most certainly needs a nerf, and anybody who thinks otherwise is probably one of the killers who cannot win without them. I am not one of them, and I would love to see this combo destroyed so when I DO play survivor, it’s not the stale ass “3 gen or nothing” play style every single game.
-
Umm.. alright then… 🤔 Bro is complaining about lightborn.
-
I didn’t realize so many of y’all were game devs and know how to run a game.
I would put my money on it, no matter what changes are made, the lot of you will find SOMETHING new to b*tch about or complain about or call the devs incompetent about.
Here’s a fix for you… STOP PLAYING DBD. If it’s THAT terrible for you, why are you still playing?
As for solo q. The issue is skill rng as somebody above me said. I have gotten survivors that were all on my skill level and the killer gets stomped. Then I’ll get the self care, urban evasion gamers, and the game never progresses for us and we get stomped and I have to play for hatch.
P.S. Don’t like solo q? Run. In. A. SWF.

They did 6 months ago... and it does literally nothing (10% faster kicks on pallets etc.). These called "General Killer Improvements" didnt help anything.
But I would warmly welcome buffs for guys like Trapper, Myers (Instakill-Addons aside), Freddy, Pig (Ambush can break pallets like Demos Shred, for that, nerf the RBT a bit) and so on.
I wouldn’t say it did nothing. There are plenty of killers not being crippled by adrenaline and hope.
I don’t see them getting nerfed, as they literally have to play the whole game with 2 perks and make it to endgame to MAYBE get value.
Yes, it is quite annoying when they do get value, but it is deserved 100%.

If u face 3 or 4Man-SWF while playing M1-Killer, you know why.
Ok.. then how about instead we ask for m1 killer buffs? Wouldn’t that make more sense?
-
nerf adrenaline and hope? They have to play the entire match to endgame with 2 perks to get those. Why would those need a nerf?

As @Pulsar said. Yes, I come in to just about every match sweaty as f*ck. Especially when I’m playing Blight.
I’ve been doing a win streak for him and I sometimes have to play like an as*hole and I’ll admit and apologize for it post match. They come into my stream and I’ll explain to them why I’m playing that way. Some of them are cool about it, some aren’t. Doesn’t really matter to me, since I’m on a win streak… ya know?

I slipped a disc in November so had a lot of time on my hands! One morning I saw a stream of 4 UK YouTubers seeing how quickly they could do all the gens and get the doors open. It took 2m 27s. Obviously they all had purple toolboxes, BNPs, a couple of proves and the door opener had Wake Up plus a couple of other perks I can't remember, but that is quite insane
ahh wasn’t that ayrun and them?

I’d be down.
One comment though… somebody who isn’t good at blight is not going to be made good or carried by his addons.. just gotta point that out. 😂

M&K is too easy. Skill checks should be made smaller on pc so it would be more equal between console and pc.
Just get a pc lmao. I paid a lot of money for a better gaming experience. 😂

On the other hand, if DBD isn't your job or you're not training for that big esport tournament so have to be in tip top shape, use the tools available while they are available and if/when the tools change move to the new tools.
Also a valid viewpoint!

I hit greats probably 80-85% of the time just playing normal. I’ve found it much easier on M&K.

There’s many who don’t. I do not run eruption or COB. Just pain res. Pain res and DMS at max.
It is entirely refreshing to get a killer who does not run the same build though.

Old meta :
"Guys don't use Ruin + Undying, it's boosting you. Also don't use noed, or PR with DMS, same thing".
Current meta :
"Guys don't use Eruption + CoH it's boosting you.."
Next meta :
"Guys don't use..."
Anyways. Play the meta if you want to. And if you get skilled survivors, GOOD, YOU WILL IMPROVE.
like I said, run whatever you want. Run the perks.

@Seraphor said:
I wouldn't consider Eruption to be some kind of 'training wheels' for newbie killers. It takes good timing and map sense to manage your gens and secure the Eruption trigger. It's not a newbie perk. But once you have that timing and secured downs sorted out, it's absolutely oppressive.
Auto regression, things like Jolt, Thrilling, Pain Res, etc. are much more newbie friendly.
I would agree to an extent. We’ve came across killers running the full set up, and never got any value because they could not get downs fast enough to proc eruption. But semi decent killers are being carried into lobbies they shouldn’t be in, and it’s going to bite them when they lose these perks and they are still in those lobbies. Many survivors quit when it happened to them because they could not perform nearly as well, and Q times were horrendous. Just don’t want it to happen again.

they're the only perks that make you lose distance or ditch chases in order to kick gens, it's better to run dms+scourage with info perks to get them out of the gens for dms to work(if they know the counterplay) than to rely on these unhealthy perk combo that was never seen before and soon will never be seen again.
When I’m running my sweaty blight, it’s DMS, pain res, and discordance. Don’t have to stop and kick gens, I’m always in chase, and it’s slows them down pretty good.
-
@Xendritch said:
I actually big disagree with this for a couple reasons.
- Will it be nerfed at some point? Probably yes but there's no way to know when, you mention dead hard but that took 4 years for anything to happen. Should people actively weaken themselves because maybe someday the meta will change? Take this logic to other games and nobody would think this was good advice. Oh don't play the top deck in Hearthstone because they might nerf it and it will leave rotation at some point. You'd be laughed out of the room for ever suggesting anything like that.
- Going back to dead hard....yeah.....still 2-4 every single game. It was overall nerfed but it's still very strong and what's to say if CoB or eruption get changed they won't still be strong. That's already happened once before for killers with ruin. It was deemed too strong got completely changed but that version was still very strong and was the meta for a long while even after the change.
- I would actually encourage newer players to run these perks to give them more time to learn chase without getting discouraged. These arn't NOED where you fail all game get to end game and then one shot people because they weren't expecting it. You still need to actually chase and get downs and hooks to win with these perks and these just slow the game down for newer players that otherwise would likely get overwhelmed.
You misinterpret what I said. I didn’t say flat out don’t run it. I said do not develop a crutch for perks. Your performance should not rely solely on perks, it should be supplemented with them. Veterans killers than run these perks get easy wins, inexperienced killers are also winning games SOLELY because of these perks, and that is setting them up for failure. By all means, run the perks, but do not RELY on them for wins.

Maybe but you can't deny that the rest of the dcs are cuz killers are tunneling at 5 gens, so yeah the dc penallity being inactive shows where the real problem is. And yes getting caught first makes you the weak link and there for a tunnel target, the killer ill always go for the guy that has the most hook states
You are making a whole lot of assumptions. Whiny survivors will dc for anything. Last night I had way too many DC’s from the first down being fast. Game after game. I do not tunnel, I do not camp, and it doesn’t change anything. Survivors will still DC.
-
Shack is strong, but it’s mind - gameable. If a survivor tries to take you shack early, just leave them if you can’t seem to win chase there.
I don’t think it needs to be changed.
Were you around for the 2 windows shacks? Lol

1) the icons just show what the survivor is doing, but doesn't show where it's happening
2) slug removal, +120s hook time, extra info and camping/tunneling reduction is this a nerf for survivors ?
3) you greatly underestimate kindred, one of the strongest things about swf is when they tell you where the killer went
kindred shows the killer, so if the killer comes to you immediately after hook, you will know it and can hide or run in advance, and in order to better search for such hideouts, the killer will have to take a perk for information instead of taking some perk for antigenrush, thus reducing the speed regression of generators, which is a plus for the survivors
Soo how about… run kindred?

People are underrating iri tag. Yes c33 is op and requires less brain power than nemesis, but I think I have lost 5 games running iri tag in my blight career, most of those loses being when I was relatively new. Although I never run c33, 85% of survivors don't even know iri tag exists. 90% of survivors start wiggling and spinning in anticipation for a hit to try to dodge, but will just give me the iri tag proc instead knowing I have it. Not that I have a high sample size though. I have maybe run iri tag 30 times and 20 of those were 4 med-kits(my requirement). Not sure I would nerf iri tag though even considering it's power level, it's the highest skill add-on in the game and has counter play(opposite of c33 in everyway).
Haha I have the same requirement for iri tag. They bring 4 medkits and I bring the tag. It is such a great addon after you get good at the timing and bump logic.
-
blight has got super strong iri’s.
With iri tag and alch ring paired with infectious I was able to end a game in about 2.5 to 3 minutes.
Then bulldozer blight with the compound 33 is just amazing.
-
you mean 4 out of 24 kills?
I think it’s killer sided. I rarely don’t get a 3-4k on RPD. In fact, for 80-90% of my killer adepts, I brought RPD and got it first try.
Once you know the map, it’s easy.
-
@TigerSnake said:
Either way, Prestige levels should not display in lobby cause it gives killers an excuse to dodge.
Ehh, lobby dodging isn’t as common anymore now that high prestige is common.
-
High prestige does not indicate being good. As somebody said above, I have also seen 0 prestige wayyy out perform a p100. I’ve had full p100 squads lose the game within 3 minutes. its just an indication of play time. Lol

@Aurelle said:
Visually it looks great, but I don't really like Shattered Square for both sides. The map is way too big and open, tiles are way too safe, gens spawn in a weird way. Not to mention you can get stuck on random junk that has the collision box of a bus littering the ground. Also the bright red tint of the map makes it straining on the eyes.
yo literally. The amount of times I’ve just stopped moving as killer, only to look down and see a tiny object stopping me. On the flip side, survivors constantly get stuck on stuff while trying to loop me.
-
Thank goodness none of y’all are devs… I mean holy… I’m starting to see the issue, and it’s skill. Some of y’all can’t beat SWF and it shows. Y’all can’t beat something; you want it removed.
-
Blight main here, obviously. I despise the map. The tile density is still way too high for how strong literally ever pallet it. Survivors can run 3 gens ez by pre dropping everything.

Why should anyone want to talk about it? This thread is about Eruption and other perks being stacked, not DH. Those perks are absolutely busted and you guys know it. Lol
I never said they weren’t busted. I personally do not use them. But there’s two sides to every story.
There are survivor perks that many consider just as busted.
Plus, we 4 out against this busted perk combo all the time. It can be strong, but if you’re good at looping to the point gens finish before you go down, eruption is useless.

I don't play placebo tablet expecting to win, I play placebo tablet expecting people to say gg and act cordial in post game considering I play without perks and with an addon that actively makes my power worse. The toxicity is what I take issue with, not the loss.

"just kill them lmao" I guess people think blight = win now. The power difference between base blight and blight with at least 1 speed against good survivors is so massive. Even I myself which used to run primarily slam duration and recovery speed have to run slowdown because of people that just pre drop pallets. Which is about everyone that plays against a blight.
You don’t need lots of slowdown. With good addons you don’t need any slowdown if you’re good enough with blight. Most slowdown I’ll run is pain res and DMS, which is my streak build that I’m currently doing. Outside of the streak, just pain res if that.

Survivors had no problem getting carried by DH and DS for all these years, but the second killer’s in a better position and gets a good combo to help with how fast gens get completed, survivors are up in arms and will probably get the perks nerfed into complete worthlessness unlike DH and DS which are still good.

Well yea… I don’t know why anybody would use placebo tablet.

It’s not that serious man, just have fun with blight. Throw on adrenaline vile and the crow and go for crazy flicks, hug techs, moonrushes, etc. Stop worrying about anything else and just learn blights endless skill ceiling. Once you get some really good experience, you can handle most SWF’s without addons or perks.

The icons look completely useless and I don't know why anybody is excited about them.
They’ve already explicitly stated basekit kindred will not be a thing.
