I agree, seeing DS, OTR, SB/DH at least twice every match is annoying!
Wait, you were talking about something else?
Survivor perks have never annoyed me when playing killer. :)

decided to just hang survivor up and go play more blight. This reoccurring build makes survivor intolerable. 😂

Out of the 9 survivor games I played tonight, 8 of them were running erupt & cob, usually with overcharge and oppression or pain res. There was one killer with no eruption but had COB and pain res.
-
Nope. I do not ever play solo q. I play killer till my SWF is on.
-
go watch nurse guides on YouTube.
-
Ha, thank god I finished that grind long ago. All I gotta do is p3 new characters.
-
I feel your pain. I didn’t pip many of games because of being in chase the whole time.

Yeah but it's like the second most picked survivor perk after dead hard. Windows was never quite this popular before.
It’s never left my kit for ages. I’ve always ran windows. I’m addicted to it like I’m addicted to shadowborn on blight.
-
It’s not new meta… Windows has always been strong.

Boi ain’t no way boi

If they are face-camping early on, punish it. We had a bubba facecamp at gen 5 last night. We popped all gens as they died on hook and we got 3 out. Enjoy your 1k.
Yea it sucks to be facecamped off rip, but it’s a strategy that I don’t see being taken out. Camping, more so prox camping can be the best thing to do in some situations.
Many posts have gained traction about this lol. It won’t make a difference.

A few of my go-to killers are Wraith, Cenobite and Artist. I like Pig and Ghostface as well, but don't usually expect to do well with them, I'm usually just memeing with them. Perk-wise I usually run things that help me find people easier. I like Tinkerer on Artist, Spies from the Shadows is a niche perk I like since it helps me keep track in chases if I lose them for a moment. Pain Resonance is my go-to for slowdown perks. Maybe I should be running things that synergize better?
I feel like the issue is the chases, though. They definitely go on far longer than when I'm playing survivor. Both me and my teammates always go down far quicker than the survivors I play against. Sometimes it feels like I am actually going crazy, because when I, for instance, place down birds as Artist on a loop, the survivor leaves the loop, naturally. But then I can't catch up with them before they hit a pallet or another loop, rinse and repeat. When I go against Artist though, she'll place down the birds, I leave the loop, and she catches up to me in a matter of seconds. It's straight up driving me crazy, I don't get it at all.
Information perks are best on killers with mobility, blight being the best as he can cross map in seconds.
Your selection of killers is definitely on the weaker side, which is completely fine, but they aren’t the strongest. Artists is decent, but she comes with boring counterplay. If your main issue is chases, throw on brutal strength and enduring, and get pallets out of the way quickly. Then for other two perks, you could double on regression and run pain res (it’s the best, easiest gen regress perk. Idk what the dude above me is talking about it being garage lol.) and pair that with DMS. Or you could run pain res and BBQ for some aura.
another option is just tank your mmr for some easier lobbies.
-
It’s time for you to take your break and go play minecraft for a week, then come back refreshed. <3
Also. Put many hours into blight, ez 4k’s
-
Do not chase in main building against good survivors.

It depends on
- what Killer(s) do you play?
- what Addons and Perks do you use?
- what kind of Survivor-Group do you get
and very important
- what MAP do you get.
For example: I almost win every match on RPD, but I struggle a lot on Groaning Storehouse (with a M1-Killer like Trapper)
RPD is such an underrated map for killer. Especially on blight. I have not lost a game on RPD yet.
-
How many hours do you have in the game? What killers to do you run?
Killer feels really good to me right now. Sure there are a couple squads I’ll run into that amp up the difficulty but those are fun games.
Run Blight for a fun time. :)
-
I get you. I only tunnel if absolutely necessary to win. Usually at 3 gens down I’ll get somebody out of the game.
The weird thing to me is killers that HARD tunnel right off at 5 gens. That is not necessary.
I’m a blight main, currently doing a win streak (just hit 50th win in a row) and majority of the games I didn’t have to tunnel at all just because blight can keep constant crippling pressure at the level I’m at with him. But there were a few 4 man swfs I had to end up tunneling a bit to avoid losing my streak. (4 brand new parts, 4x DH, 4xAdrenaline, boons, etc)
Outside of that, I don’t feel the need to purposefully tunnel. Especially once I hit iri 1 and don’t feel the need to win every game.

looping for 3 gens isnt very impressive when that equates to a minute and a half potentially. which is reasonable considering the amount of chained safe loops in each map.
If a 3 gen chase isn’t impressive, how come you RARELY see them in any games? The first person typically goes down WELL before the first gen pops and maybe a gen pops as they hook. We’ve all played solo q, you cannot deny this.
If 3 gen chases were common as you’re implying, survivor win rates would be much higher.

Getting a 4k is easier like that if the survs are trashcans, like i get when i play survivor most of the times; if not, a 4k is not easy at all.
if you play trapper sure… I main blight, and hit the 50th win in my win-streak last night. I encounter many sweaty SWF’s, and many of the games were close, but I still got the 4k.
-
Massively drop your mmr on myers and then try. It’s the only way to get it. Every game at higher mmr is just going to be locker hops.
-
@Beatricks said:
As a Survivor, never. I'm sadly high enough MMR that the only killers I encounter have probably abused animals when they were little.
As a Killer if I'm in a good mood I let them do it. If there are two survivors left and they have given up, the first one to boop gets the hatch.
This right here lol
-
@Bran said:
Trust me, it isn't the fact your good. It's the fact you can actually run the killer for 3 minutes. It's terrible.
Agree to disagree. :) There is most definitely skill in looping.

@INoLuv said:
It is easier to be a good looper when most maps are braindead easy and survivor sided than being a killer that gets 3k/4k.
The killer is not obligated to reward your amazing skills.
Dawg, I’m a killer main. Getting a 4k is much easier than being an effective looper to the point of 2-3 gens popping.
Nowhere did I say the killer is obligated to do anything. Y’all are putting far out meaning to my simple post. 😂
-
YOU need to get in a snowman and hit a survivor 5 seconds after coming out of it. They weren’t clear in the challenge but this is how you complete it.
-
Biggest thing I want is a bloodweb overhaul. Some kind of insta spend my BP button, or something that makes spending 2 mil BP less mind numbing.
A good start would be eliminating the need to click and hold and getting rid of delay from the black eaty circle thing. Just insta click, done.

I check twitch and generally, if they're streaming I'll dodge.
I've never had a bad experience with them, but I play to relax and I don't want to wonder if they're making fun of me. Maybe all that "salty ttv rages on [x] !!" fearmongering on youtube is getting to me.
I can't really help it if the streamer is the killer and I'm survivor, so those match I do have to play out, and if the killer is live and played fair I'll go on the stream to say gg and maybe watch a couple of their games after I'm done playing. If they seem chill and like they wouldn't make fun of my mistakes, I'll rewatch our game to see how it looked from their perspective.
That's actually how I met a guy I play with sometimes. He's such a nice dude ! Immediately offered to play together despite seeing how bad I was.
His rewatch was interesting, because during the game, from our point of view, it looked like he'd proxied a lot my hooked friend ; but from his, he'd seen a glimpse of my other friend crouching nearby while carrying and was looking for her (even though she was now long gone). At the time my hooked friend cried "he's proxying ! that's so uncool of him !" along with some expletives, the streamer spoke a very confused "where the hell did this Nea go ??".
That was definitely a lesson in perspective for us !
This is awesome. I’m a smallish / newer streamer. I play primarily killer while streaming. I met a super good team, and afterwards one of them came into the stream to say wassup. They now watch every stream start to finish and we run SWF daily. My favorite part of streaming is the wholesome interaction is sometimes brings in between the people that come in to share hateful comments.

@Ghoste said:
No, but there should be.
As a band-aid fix, you could swap Survivors at the last second to hide it.
This is what my SWF does. Anytime we don’t, it’s either a lobby dodge, or Sweat / mori every game.
-
@Brimp said:
Ngl... I don't find survivor very skilled. I never once actually binged playing survivor but I can just read people well and make chases easily 2-3 gens with maybe 2 pallets thrown all because setups can be THAT good.
Ehhhhh. The average survivor cannot chase for that long. Let alone even 30 seconds. I enjoy the occasional team of juicers i get paired with.

Some survivors on here loaattthh killers than can mindgame. Many times i'll down a survivor in 15 seconds and when i pick them up, they immediate DC, or kill themselves on hook.
Same here - blight main with 1k hours in him. I receive lots of salt on both sides. :)

Do the dirtiest build I have and slap a mori on top of it.
Then I tunnel and camp. I don't care if anyone escapes, but this guy will die 100%
So you’re the type of killers I run into constantly. This happens so often and I swear it’s cause I’m streaming 😂😂

@Starrseed said:
If the survivor is really good at looping me great for them I respect that but don't you come into the chat after the game and complain that I don't go on a 5min round trip with you. If I see a survivor that is obviously better then me in chase I will just ignore them and hunt the others
I’m with you there. I do the same thing. I’m not stupid enough to commit to somebody enough for more than 1 gen to pop.
-
@Krazzik said:
I mean a killer nodding or shaking their head isn't a big deal? Like teabagging, it only really affects weak-willed people.
Where did I say it bothered me? 😁 I’m talking about killers that are bothered my survivors they can’t catch to the point of BM. It’s hilarious.
”you looped me for 3 gens and i lost the game for it, so I’m gonna hit you on hook”
like, what?😂 So funny.
-
@Emeal said:
If you can loop the average Killer for 3 gens, then the matchmaking that brought you together isn't very fair.
You expect the Killer to be Thankful? You pretty much dragged them on for over half the game.
What do you expect of Killers here?
You’re missing the point buddy. Sure, the matchmaking may be a little unfair at times. I don’t expect anything from the killer. I’m simply stating it’s hilarious when y’all get mad over getting juiced. 😂

@ByeByeQ said:
For me it's the pressure. I would love to have good long chases with skilled survivors but in DbD it is almost always a losing choice. Chasing good loopers is incredibly punishing. If I encounter the good looper first in the game and commit to chasing them, often that's 3 gens popping in the distance before I get the down and I've only broken a few pallets to show for the chase.
The correct play is always to not commit to the first chase or the good looper (get a pallet if I can and leave them) and pressure gens, chase and kill weaker targets who give up pallets more easily. The good looper is easier to deal with once they don't have the resources to loop with and members of their team are already dead so the pressure isn't there.
DbD should have a 1v1 mode where the only thing that matters is the chase.
No I absolutely agree with this. 80% of the time my first chase lasts maybe 20 seconds and they leave to chase somebody not as skilled and will drop many pallets for them. I do the same as killer, I identify the strongest looper and save them for later.

Lol wut

As Trapper main, nothing you can do to Blight that will make him equal to Trapper.
I wasn’t being literal. But his idea of a “nerf” would turn blight into an M1 killer. He would be as ######### as people thought he was at release. Even worse.
-
Good for killer, bad for survivor.
-
Yea that’s a great idea. Let’s take away the ability for friends to play an online game together.
You can’t make this stuff up.
-
1) Addons can be game changing the same way that survivor items can be. Don’t talk about addons unless you talk about 4 medkits, 4 TB’s, etc.
2) I’m really not sure what you mean by this. Killers have tons of awesome base perks.
3)All of the killers you listed have strong counterplay that wastes so much time for them.
Nemeis: bait pallets, DO NOT JUST DROP THEM. Get them to pull their whip up, and run the loop again. Repeat until they are not going to respect the pallet and then get the stun. For windows, you can bait the window and dodge his whip. Or if you make it through the window, crouch and on most maps, the whip can’t hit you.
Huntress: Same thing. Bait the pallet, and make them pull the hatchet up, get another loop in, repeat. I played a huntress last night that pulled hatchet up every time and we ended sitting at the same tile for like a minute and a half.
Artist, Dredge, knight: Hold W, easy. Dredge’s remnant can be baited easily. It can also be destroyed by running through it. But if they drop a remnant, just run to the next loop. Artists birds can be destroyed with a flashlight. If she starts dropping crows, run to the next loop. With knight, just hold W when you hear him placing a guard.

The same reason I don't watch NASCAR.
"Oh look, Bill is approaching that tile that is between two bales of hay with a pallet in the middle. WHATEVER WILL HE DO? Oh, look. He ran through the pallet, now he is going in a circle. He has enough distance, he is gonna do it again. And a third time. Gee, I wonder if he drops the pallet now. Oh, look he did. What a shocking development this is. I kick the pallet. Now he is heading over towards that tile over there with a pallet between two chunks of garbage, I wonder what riveting gameplay will happen THIS time?"
Absolutely slog. Boring as hell.
I see… so what would you rather happen instead of that?

What if we fix all his exploits (j flick, lag flick, hug tech, shoulder flick, 180 flick, moonrush), cap his maximum turn rate while attacking in rush to like 30-45°, and then make him 4.4m/s? I think that'd do miles of good to make him a bit more normal and less nurse tier.
So you want to take literally everything away from him? That would literally cripple blight into trapper tier. You obviously have never played blight.
Maybe you should try learning how to play against blight before calling for ludicrous nerfs liking capping his attack angle to 30 degrees. He has got a TON of counterplay. You just can’t mindlessly hold W against blight and survivors can’t stand it.
*To OP, spirit is just as strong. I 4k with spirit at the same rate I 4K with blight. Her addons are just as strong, and her phase attack counts as an M1, that is a major difference.

There's a lot of resentment towards skilled play in the community. Playing smart on survivor is referred to as "gen rushing" or "holding W". A lot of players lose their minds when survivors play smart and don't feed a free 4k.
There’s no fun in that. The chases / looping is the most fun thing to do. I main blight with a huge reason being his counter to holding W, thus eliminating the most boring tactic.

The answer to both is no I'm afraid. There is no further updates with regards to cross progression...only platforms where there is cross progression are Steam, Stadia & Epic Store.
Steam Deck is something that we announced that we would support some time back, as of yet we are not supporting this platform. I do suggest keeping an eye on our socials/patch notes etc as we will announce this when we're able to.
Awesome, thanks for the fast answer!
