Killers don't want to use these gen blocking or regressing perks but they have no choice. Games last 3-5 minutes if they don't use these perks. You want eruption to get nerfed and then go for the next anti gen perk.
BHVR should be focusing on 10-15 minutes matches instead of games that last shorter than loading/queue times.
Ehh. The most slowdown I’ll use is pain res and DMS (for sweaty games). But majority of my builds only use pain res and that usually does me well. Then a lot of my builds use no slowdown but I can end chases extremely fast.

What do i get from dropping the guard? It will never start a chase like this and i will waste time
If you drop it right at the loop, it can easily start chase. And if it doesn’t, it forces them away from the loop. Just trust me. Drawing lines wastes SOOOOO much time if the survivor is semi competent. You have to play him exactly like artist. Another strong build for him is the addons that spawn carbifex twice paired with action speed increase. He insta breaks pallets. Use enduring / spirit fury and you’re golden with a pallet shredder knight.

What country, and general are are you in? I'm in the USA in the midwest area and I'm not getting the bonus blood points. Wonder if it's a server issue. I might VPN into another country and see if I get extra points.
USA, up north.
-
Don’t try to draw lines with it unless you have them cornered. Insta drop a guard at pallets and loops, which will force them out of the loop. His power is particularly strong on indoor maps like RPD and Lery’s. Trying to camp hooks with it does not work if the survivors know it.
Simply put, just instadrop the guard. Don’t draw lines.
-
Always wondered this myself. Even more annoying is when they get hit, and then drop the pallet anyway.. just take the speed boost, leave the pallet up, and run to the next tile.
STOP DROPPING PALLETS RIGHT AFTER YOU GET HIT. THERE IS LITERALLY NO POINT. (For those that need to see that.)
-
All the survivors complaining about killers in here. 😂 Many of y’all are probably skill issue. I’ll run nothing but aura perks and no addons and I still get complaints in PGC.
-
I’m not mad about it. Matter of fact you’re the only person with a post about it…
I have been hit with some stupid saves that wouldn’t have hit before. But it is what it is. I main blight and shadowborn is basekit for me, so saves are even easier for them.
Idk how other run lightborn 24/7. Waste of perk slot.
-
Nope. Mercy is not in my playbook.

that's not true. You're confusing the graph from across all MMRs with this one. And even there she doesn't have the highest killrate. Pinhead does.
Ahh you are correct. Regardless, she still has a very good kill rate.
-
Wraith has some bad perks. I love shadowborn but it gives survivors an easier time getting flashlight saves.
-
The kill rates disagree… she literally has the highest kill rate in the top 5% MMR.
-
Works fine for me lol

I think prior to the bloodweb update it was estimated at like 1.6m for 1 prestige? The bloodweb price update dropped prices by 33% so if we estimate 1m per prestige then maybe 100m? Maths isn't my strong point though haha I could be way off
There’s what, like 26 killers and 26 survivors? 100mil each would equal about 5.2 billion BP to p100 all of them.
-
I’ve got 1k hours in blight alone.. he still keeps me entertained, going for crazy flicks and techs is too much fun. Pushing the limits of his power. I’ve also gotten into DBD content creation on twitch and YouTube which has been refreshing for me.

No, nobody deserves to be given anything in a multiplayer game. What is this attitude? You dont deserve value out of your perk, the killer doesn't deserve the kill. However, If you dont wanna be slugged, and you dont have that combo, you can get out from under the paller, or else you can expect the killer to potentially want to leave you slugged to prevent that perk from happening, and if you then trash talk the killer because of it like they were actively trying to BM you, it's kinda stupid. Ultimately you can BM or trash talk for whatever reason you want cuz its a game. Whatever. But how the ######### is the person trying to counter a perk combo the one in the wrong in this situation?
Lmao ok dude. 😂 You go on playin the way you play. Have a good day.
-
SoloQ can definitely be nightmarish… but killer has been great.
-
Why does anybody care? If you want the skins, get them. If you don’t, then DON’T! It’s really that simple. At the end of the day it’s your money.
-
Until I hit irid 1, I’m not. No free hatches, no free gates, nada.
Once I hit rank, I’ll be friendlier if there are early DC’s. Yesterday I had a game as iri tag blight. I downed a survivor 10 secs in and they DC’d, causing another one to DC. I let the last 2 complete all the gens and escape.
Other thing I’ll be friendly for is if one player sticks out. (Super good at chase, always getting unhooks, doing gens). If they are losing because the rest of the survivors are boosted, I will typically let the stronger survivor go after I kill off the others.
Then sometimes I’ll meme around with a basement chest bubba.
-
Ehh you seem to be the entitled one here. Just pick them up. If they have power struggle, then they get value out of a meme perk and deserve to get out. 9/10 they were just sitting on a pallet incase a tm8 could get a pallet save.
-
No, it would absolutely get abused. Go watch Skermz “head on experience” for an example.
-
As everybody else said.. you body block, and I’m just gonna put you back on the hook. Why wouldn’t I? I can now easily put you on death-hook or put you out of the game Vs having to catch up the fully healed survivor with tons of distance.
-
Did for real. Yes please. Although a slider would be more ideal. I’m used to 120 fov in all my other games.
-
This is about what I would expect

I'm a survivor main and I'd like to expand my horizons on playing killer!
I bought some DLCs with cool hunters (The Trickster, Ghostface, Pyramid Head I regret buying him since I heard he's a pretty difficult hunter)
And wanted to try them out one day but I tried being a killer once today (as trapper with no perks) and my heart was pounding so fast I couldn't even calm down in the match 😭 But in the end, (Image shown below)

It went pretty well! its just that the anxiety/adrenaline that overwhelms me whenever I play killer :( so I'd like to know how to overcome such fear?
Just keep playing killer. You get over it. You just have to understand that some games are going to be an easy slaughter, and the next you may not get a single kill. Every match is truly different.
Chose a killer to main, that you enjoy. For myself, Blight is my top killer (1k hours in him alone)
Go into the game already deciding to not try hard, but rather try new builds and tactics.

Really? I need to try that. I'd still personally suggest using 2 players. A proxy camping knight can simply double hit someone unhooking with the extra warning they get from the guard.
Yessir, it seems most don’t know that. But yea, 2 players for sure as it’s just like any other m1 killer camping. Need 2 to avoid farming a trade.. but yes, unhooking eliminates his power completely.
-
@HoodedWildKard said:
It's hard to deal with. Like any proxy camping tbf. It'd work best with 2 players doing the unhook. One baits the guard away the other unhooks immediately after. Hopefully knight goes for the first person who triggered the chase and they can stay ahead of the guard and take one hit max.
Again… read above. The guard literally deactivates when you initiate an unhook.
-
It’s been that way forever. It’s not hard to work around unless they are able to body block entrances to the hook, such as RPD hook at the bottom of the stairs by chain link gate.
-
If a guard is on you, and you start an unhook, it disables the guard. It seems most people do not know this. Knight’s power is pretty useless at a hook once you know this. Just go for the unhook and the guard is useless.

In other word giving the survivor exactly what they want and why they do it great idea
lol they want you to be upset. Just don’t be fragile. Push them out and go next. It’s really not a big deal.
-
Also in the same boat
-
You’re really complaining about an add on that you counter by just LEAVING? Maybe don’t sit and teabag in the gate and just go. If you don’t, you fully deserve to be caught if the killer brings something like that. You only have yourself to blame.
-
What is this build or whatever going around? I’ve yet to play a sadoko doing this.
-
for blight: auto haven and Macmillan
for survivor: garden of pain, crows map.

Dude same. Even as a blight main. I’m starting to find that blight is particularly strong on RPD. Same with huntress, my second main.

I was using Blood Emporium but it's kinda slow, so I stopped (it's literally better to level it up manually than using slow BE). But in this case you can be 100% sure you won't get banned. Risk is only when you are using something that works with in-game files and manipulate with them. Blood Emporium is just basic script with image recognition - it takes your monitor, recognize what do you have in bloodweb and based on math and priorities you entered into it it will just click on icons. That's all. Everything is done by this script, it doesn't operate with in-game files.
EAC won't recgonize it, as much as it doesn't work with in-game files. For EAC it's just regular mouse clicking, that's all.
It's good to be careful but when you know how the program works, you can also define if it's risky or not. For example Dead by Daylight Icon Toolbox is software to change your icons in-game, it gives you no advantage at all, it just change graphic of few things. You won't get banned for this either as much as this isn't some active software running on the background and it doesn't edit anythingbut textures. But regarding this you are in higher risk just because it somehow operates with in-game files. Well, Toolbox is completely safe too, it's just comparison :)
Pretty certain Mandy said on the forums before that altering icons can end in bans.

My blight build for constant chase, lethal and BBQ.
-
the incentive is based on your MMR bracket. Two people in the same exact place can have difference incentives.
-
Ok? You leave, 2 more players join the player base. The game is not anywhere close to dying. There have been many doomsday posts years before you.

Just because Behavior removed the broken locker save tech, they compensated for that by buffing flashlights saves in general? Why does removing something game breaking need to be compensated for by buffing something else? That's like "yeah we're removing the Blight's hug tech, but to compensate, here's a buff to Blight". As survivor i used to find flashlight saves quite skillful, now even a baby that semi knows the timing can do it.
flashlights are beyond easy to counter. If they are hitting saves on you, you made a mistake. I loveeee when a team brings flashlights, because majority of the time they waste time following me around rather than doing gens. Ez wins.

@Veinslay said:
Why is he a ton of fun to play against compared to any other killer? Cause his power is telegraphed so much?
I laugh about this all the time. Survivors love playing against a weak killer. I get so much hate for playing blight. I personally loveee playing against a good blight.

I myself love the "can't be injured" player.
They will squat 20 times near u by an almost completed gen or simply run across a map for the small chance of a basement medkit. These creatures really love sticking by boons. (They really love the blue light is my guess)
Photosynthesis type Behavior as they simply cannot go on without the light shining.
1) urban evasion Claudettes.
2) the survivors that cannot function whenever the killer terror radius hits, even if another survivor is in chase.
-
I’ll throw on iri tag if the survivors bring 4 medkits or 4 Boxes. I’ve got around 950 hours on blight alone, and I’m to the point of having the knowledge of how to land just about every insta down.
but I rarely run it, just cause it can make the games end super quick ( especially with lethal and blighted crow).
-
I get only killer daily’s with a survivor one coming every 1 in 6. I’m assuming it’s because I play mostly killer.

These last few days, I went against* several teams that were playing pretty cocky and quite dangerously. They all died of course but ... why?
Why would one body block after being unhooked? In a hurry to go back up?
Why would one attempt to sabotage a hook when being one hit away from dying? Trying to be nice to the killer?
Why would anyone attempt to body-block the first hook in the game? Do you like to bleed and leave tracks so much?
...
All these moves are extremely easy to counter and punish. What streamer is being such a bad example to emulate?
Don't misunderstand me : I love it. It's funny, it's cute, it's more interesting than gen-jockeys, but I don't believe they were simply trying to amuse the killer. (If they were, kudos to them : it was very well done)
*) as killers like Trickster, Huntress, Legion, Oni ...
I would much rather play these teams vs the gen jockey booned up squads.

Even I respect the glyph and I'm a cold bastard of a Killer.
Unless I think I will lose the game because of a Glyph (unlikely and if I'm in that position I've already played poorly), I'll respect it.
Then you aren’t as cold as I. I will smack you off that glyph so fast and throw you on a hook.
-
Yes, it’s completely necessary for the killer to have. It’s a 4v1.
