Mine is exclusively on killer except for a short period during lunch and around 4am. Some of my not so good friends always have it on survivor so we just let them host the SWF and we get their bonus.
prefer it on killer though cause I’m averaging 120-150k bp a game with a pudding. Rushing my blight to p100 so it’s perfect.
-
dredge as #4? Interesting. Why would you rank them there?

That’s fair enough.
Many of my streak games have been over quickly, but I’ve had a couple teams that really gave me a run for my money.

Nice! Hope you’re enjoying killer.

Solo survivor: 10 through door 15 door or hatch
Swf: 16 with just us out, 3 with the whole swf (2-4 people)
Killer with your rules: 20 something probably
There's probably higher records but we can't remember them so their void
What killer were ya using?

Blight needs 3 changes:
1) 110% base speed.
2) complete rework (hillbilly style) of all his best addons. In short his best addons should probably reduce total bounces by 2 ( alchemist ring, adrenaline vial - which would become purple, compund 33, etc.
3) removal of all "tech" (hug tech, j tech, s tech, moonwalk tech)
How is Blight balanced compared to the lower 28 killers?
He has stupid fast movement.
He has very strong antiloop
He has fast pallet breaking
He gets fast downs
You know when you decide to play trapper for a daily and you get a map with no grass? That type of scenario doesn't happen for blight. Every map is fine for that killer and that's completely broken when you consider that killers without mobility are severely hampered on maps larger than 9000m².
DBD is a completely different game when you play in an efficient SWF on voice coms. DBD is a completely different game when you play Blight or Nurse compared to every other killer. Know what those three things have in common? They all need to get gutted.
SWF needs to be changed as follows : No character, item, perk or offering repeats. Lock the team (other than their outfits) when they are in queue.
Two man teams would almost not even be affected. Three and four man teams would be instantly balanced by the limitations and could still play with their friends. They just need to add a UI element so you can see what perks people have to facilitate SWF planning before you queue.
-"his base-kit is extremely balanced and well made."
The devs have confirmed that hug tech will be removed. If you mean he is a strong killer actually capable of chasing survivors well - then yes he does that. But it's not really fair to have Blight and nurse in the same game with weak killers like Doctor.
Or maybe all the "slow" killers just need a sprint button where they can sprint once per minute for 20 seconds at Billy chainsaw sprint speed (cant use their power or attack until they have been out of the sprint for 3 seconds).
You know what you left out? That blight has the highest skill ceiling of any killer. Nobody can just hop on blight and decimate teams. I have put a 1,000 hours into blight to get as good as I am.
Hug tech is probably not going to be taken out considering it was added in an update for his collision. Second, it’s J flick and S flick (s flick has already been removed). They are not techs, they are lethal rushes utilizing extremely high DPI (again something you have to be skilled to pull off).
The only reason you think blight needs to be gutted is because you do not know how to counter him. He has a ton of counterplay INCLUDING his “broken hug tech”.
Blight is at the power level killers should be close to if you are experienced with their power. All other killers should be brought up in power. Since that’s not going to happen, blight is probably going to be left alone.
Side note, hug tech is less effective than bump logic. Hug tech is simply more fun and risky for the blight if he misses. You take out hug tech, and we resort to only bump logic, survivors aren’t gonna be very happy. There is much less counter.

That's what I think about green speed as well.
As for c33 you could never go for rush hits and probably be better than nemesis.
C33 paired with AV is disgusting though. I had to make a YT on it. One of my favorite combos, especially paired with sprit fury and enduring.

You know I actually think I saw you tell lilith about that guy when I was watching a vod a while back.
I didn't play blight until last December so I didn't get to see him in that state, but it's genuinely hard to play any other killer when his skill ceiling is nigh unreachable and the fact that I don't have to mindlessly hold W after survivors who are mindlessly holding W.
On a side note though, if they ever do an add-on pass do you think they should touch green speed? If there is one thing I run too much on blight it's green speed, and it's almost hard to count how many times I think "wow thanks green speed for that hit". I am really biased about it so I wanted to ask another blight main what they thought.
Yes! That was me who brought it up in spice king’s stream.
I love blight with a large reason being his counter to the W key. Survivors cannot do it.
As for his speed add-on, no I don’t think it should be touched. The reason being it’s one of those addons you have to be skilled to get value out of it. If you can’t use blights rushes efficiently, the ultra speed will just send you flying somewhere. Addons such as c33 require no skill to get value out of. I could see addons like that getting hit.
-
Don’t you mean how delicious? 🥰 I love that tall angry sprinty man.

@Sava18 said:
You know have said this a few times elsewhere. If nurse get's nerfed than Blight may not get touched even though he has a couple problematic add-ons. Maybe they want there to always be a killer of that power level to exist. Just a guess though. Not that I would complain if ring or c33 got nerfed hopefully they don't touch much else though especially base-kit. Actually had a guy who's been on these forums forever say to cap the maximum look-out angle and flick angle to 35 degrees 😂.
Maybe with more blights players will actually try and learn how to play vs him.
I saw that dudes post. I was in utter shock that he said that.
I remember when blight first dropped, people said he was garbage. Low and behold he’s got the highest skill ceiling in the game. Anybody who is nasty with him has put some serious time into him.

Yes, he's good at it, but he's not the best tunneler or camper still. Pyramid Head, Huntress, Nurse, Blight and Spirit all camp and tunnel better than him, and that's taking into account his Hindered effect when fully infected, since it requires some time to build up after an unhook. Pyramid Head can do exactly what you've described with BT/DH and also can remove the ability to flashlight save, bodyblock the hook, or even use Off The Record if he has even the slightest bit of intelligence.
His infection is built in slowdown, it's just not a very good one. It's about as long to deal with as Legion's but a lot harder to inflict. Nobody is going to let you instadown them with full infection, because his dash is quite finnicky on a lot of tiles, mostly because of the windup for his power. There are many times where I've dashed and clipped the very edge of the wall when I feel like I shouldn't have and had a down or hit stolen from me. Also, if you miss your second dash in the open, you're losing a ton of distance.
Sorry, but he's not top 5 and there's no convincing me.
I’m not trying to convince you, it’s your own opinion. But to me is seems you obviously haven’t spent some time learning weskers power ability.
His dash is not hard to hit. 90% of my downs on wesker are with m2.

No, I'm really not. He's not a monster in any category, he's just pretty solid at everything. He's not the best tunneler, he's not the best chaser, he's not the best at map mobility, he's not the best at dealing with bodyblockers, he's just ok in all of these regards. He has one of the most well-designed sets of addons, but that's all I can say he's the best at.
He’s great at tunneling if you don’t give somebody the chance to cleanse, not to mention to you hit the unhooker and the unhooked with a single dash and instantly eat their BT/DH.
his infection is built in slowdown AND instadown if left unchecked.
he is great in chase. There are many tiles his dash shuts down and you can’t hold w too well against a good wesker.
-
@ManyAchievables said:
Wesker is not top 5. Not even close. He is fairly good, but not top 5 by any means. My top 5 looks something like:
1) Nurse
2) Blight
3) Spirit
4) Artist
5) Here, it's kind of a tossup for me between Huntress and Oni, though I'm personally more inclined to go with Huntress due to more and more people catching on about Oni's awful early game and using that to their advantage.
I might actually consider swapping my placements for Blight and Nurse. If Nurse doesn't get good addons to replace range and recharge, I think an Alchemist Ring, C33 Blight will be overall just a tiny bit better. Blight already destroys Nurse in terms of map traversal, and with these addons, I think Blight's chase might be just a bit better than Nurse's, I'll be honest.
You’re trippin thinking wesker isn’t close to top 5.

I hope that you, too, survive the Eruption-pocalypse.
These are Dark Times, indeed, with only further Dark Times ahead :(
I play killer almost exclusively man, so it doesn’t bother me too much.
When I do play survivor because I don’t have bonus on killer, it’s majority of the time with my SWF and we are doing meme / bully builds without the intention of escaping. Lower MMR on survivor tends to give us killers that aren’t running this combo.
Just wait till the combo gets kicked, and the doomsday posts start up about gens being way too fast and killers can’t win games anymore.

I appreciate your concern about my/killer perk choices, but it is unwarranted.

you may as well say it's a conscious decision to get camped on hook, when survivors can bodyblock you and force you to tunnel them :)
It’s a conscious decision to get camped on hook? ######### does that even mean? That has nothing to do with what I’m talking about.
Yea.. if a survivor body blocks me with BT, I just hit them again and put them back on hook. I make the decision to do so.
IF I got extra BP for NOT hooking them, I would just eat the body block and go for the unhooker still, because I’M MAKING THE DECISION TO DO SO. What is so complicated that you cannot comprehend that?

"you hooked someone twice in a row" does not mean "you made a conscious decision and went out of your way to specifically tunnel someone on purpose".
Ok look, I’m not gonna argue about it. Take it how you want, I simply gave a suggestion many people could benefit from. You wanna tunnel, tunnel. You don’t, then don’t. Everything is a conscious decision.

deliberately not hooking someone when circumstances have made them the only person to be hooked? That's throwing.

"Do I throw the game and get less BP, or do I hook the guy and get less BP?" It's lose-lose either way if slugging isn't to your advantage. Which is why it's a punishment, because you put the Killer in a choice where they lose either way.
Throw the game because you didn’t tunnel? I win most of my games without tunneling. 🤷🏻♂️

"If you are making the decision" is the exact point in question. It's not always a decision.
(Also, people can be given nice things without pairing the incentive with a punishment)
It’s most definitely a decision. How is it not? “Do I want to lose 25% of my bonus bloodpoints? Or do I want to hook this dude again?” Which is more important to you?
It’s not a punishment. It would be a punishment if you lost 25% of your normal BP gain. This is strictly incentive based hook patterns.
-
@RainehDaze said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3309333#Comment_3309333
because your assumption is "any time someone hooks the same person twice in the row, it's a conscious decision to tunnel". Never mind the obvious case where sometimes the Killer can't find anyone else, people are able to look identical if they so choose.
And I don't think most players would take being slugged but not hooked again as a huge improvement.
You still didn’t answer my question. How are you being punished if you are making the decision to opt out of extra BP, an incentive to NOT hook the same person twice in a row? By all means, do it, but you lose out on potential 25% bonus.
Some people don’t care about BP, and they can still tunnel. People that do care, such as myself will go out of their way to get max bonus BP.
-
@RainehDaze said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3309319#Comment_3309319
"You get outright punished if you don't avoid someone like the plague, no matter how stupid they are about it" is not a good design choice.
How are you getting punished because you’re opting out of bonus blood points by making the conscious decision to tunnel? You don’t have to avoid them, put them down and leave them slugged if you want.

Give BBQ the blood point bonus back, but if any survivor is hooked twice in a row, you lose a permanent token.
Can’t say it would work for all tunnelers, but it would help.

Thankfully it will be nerfed and it most definitely needs to be as it is carrying killers in matches they really should not have won. I can honestly say I have only ever run Eruption once and that was to get my Nemesis adept (got it first try) which I only got around to in the last month or two.
I have had frustrating matches where I have admittedly been salty because a killer has been carried by this combo and I have told them post match they are going to be absolutely screwed once this is inevitably nerfed if they don't learn to actually chase effectively and pressure the map over patrolling 3 gens the entire time.
I cant wait for the inevitable nerf as solo survivor is currently absolutely miserable with this combo on top of the excessive tunnelling and camping
It will come soon!! Stay strong!

Okay, fair.
I honestly missed the part where you pointed out that full gen regression perks have problems in chase, which is an excellent point, but anything you said applies to any future meta as much as it does the current one. I ran Ruin/Undying on a lot of killers before that got nerfed, I run Eruption+CoB+Overcharge on a lot of killers now, and if they nerf that, I'll run whatever they replace it with.
There will always be an anti-gen meta. Not having one would make the majority of killers unplayable past the soft cap.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3309056#Comment_3309056
Holding games hostage? I'm pretty sure it doesn't count as "holding it hostage" if you can still repair the gens. If you're not letting the killer down you, why should the killer let you repair the last gen? It's a two-way street.
Eruption needs downs to work. If the killer spent all game camping a potential 3-gen, then there are four of you alive and unharmed by the time the game really begins, and it's on you if you can't get that gen done. Two of you working on the farthest gens and the other two trading off taking hits will usually do it.
i understand. There is always going to be a meta like that, my only point is don’t let it be a crutch. Become a good killer without it, then supplement with strong perks to make you even stronger. Or else, when those perks get snatched, you’re going to be a weak killer. Example being the survivors after DH got nerfed and the only survivors that could last more than 10 seconds in chase were the ones who didn’t run DH in the first place.
Then came all the doomsday post about this game hating survivors and they’re quitting etc etc.. the sameeee thing is gonna happen with a lot of these killers.

The incapacitated timer can be countered if you have an idea of when the survivor is gonna go down. Aura perks like Fogwise, Bonds, Inner Focus and many others can give you an idea of when the next survivor is going down. If you think that using a perk to help counter another perk is bad, be aware that it is perfectly normal to use stuff to counter the meta, just like Stridor was only used to counter Iron Will (when Spirit was good) and how the Original Pain add-on is the only reliable counter in the game to Off the Record, which by itself justifies its use. Also, Eruption only benefits the killer if they are getting a down, so the reward is perfectly healthy since it encourages going for chases (something that a killer who is only focused on keeping a 3 gen won't do).
About the "hurting inexperienced players argument" the only thing that I have to say is that, well... Yeah, you're gong to have a hard time against strong loadouts when you're new, that's is true for literally everything that is half decent, but eventually you're going to learn how to play around it, that's how multiplayer games work.
Lmaoooo. You did not just say “have an idea of when a survivor is going down”. 😂😂 in solo q?!
You’ve gotta be trolling.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I'm finding that the CoB+OC+Eruption meta doesn't work well on killers like Ghostface unless you're running Deadlock along with it, and then you've got no chase perks.
I'm preferring Deadlock/Jolt/PR/STBFL. The gen regression isn't as strong on its own, but you can just focus on chase instead of kicking gens, and STBFL soft counters bodyblocking and DH.
Most of my Ghsotie games are ending in 3 or 4 kills with zero gens left.
Gen-kicking meta does better on Michael and some other M1s for some reason.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3308934#Comment_3308934
Jesus, the tone of the forums on this subject sure has changed since my little break.
Just a couple of months ago, there were entire threads full of people complaining that CoB and Eruption were terrible perks. I was one of the only people arguing that they were viable.
If those perks need a nerf, then they need to give Dead Hard the treatment the devs gave Ruin. One perk shouldn't be able to make every chase last an extra minute. After all, it's currently in the same place as Eruption in the sense that it's S-tier, but completely counterable and only causes trouble for the other side if you outplay them with it.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3309016#Comment_3309016
Camping a 3-gen from the start of the game was a strategy long before the 6.1.0 meta changes.
For the sake of clarity, what are you arguing here? That there shouldn't be any good killer gen regression perks at all?
If you read my original post, it’s quite clear what my point is.

But that's the thing, if the problem is your teammates... Why attack the regression perks when the problem is the matchmaking?
DbD survivor is a team based game and you're not going to carry everyone solo, that's just how it works. I do play other team based games like League of Legends, Pokemon Unite and Overwatch but I do know how to differentiate when I lost because of my teammates, because of game balance or because of my lack of skill and each of these problems have completely different solutions which should not mix together.
Alright buddy. :)
