  • This has been a bug since the Alan Wake chapter, can happen once, twice, or even three times in one match. I don’t know how this bug has been overlooked when it’s been reported a lot.

  • 2846 on Renato. I have over 1500 of each event item that will probably never get used

You don't think lowering your ping to a level you wouldn't otherwise have isn't an advantage? You can try and call me dumb and offer to sell me a bridge all you want I understand how fps works theyre simply advertising that , but when I can have access to like 10-15 ping and nobody else in the lobby can how is that not an advantage? You're boosting a connection for yourself with the help of a third party and it will affect the outcome of every interaction you have in the game it literally can make you have the ability to greed loops longer and get hits as a killer you wouldn't have been able to hit otherwise, I don't understand how you don't call that in itself an advantage when ping in this game matters a whole lot on whether you got certain interactions registering properly

I live in central US and the closest server to me is the Virginia server so ExitLag helps out a ton. Wouldn’t you want lower ping too? ExitLag is also kind of a disadvantage on killer because it reduces your ping so you’re less likely to pokos people. BHVR just needs to invest in more & better servers.

  • Had a match yesterday on Chaos Shuffle where this comp swf brought Mac bone and was already spreading out & holding w.

Had 0 interest to play that out, got M1 perks on an M2 killer scrimming in a modifier. They go on to make me look dumb and gaslight after calling them out on it. I don’t care if I’m playing an S tier, just trying to have fun. If I wanted to play like it was a scrim I’d do it anywhere else.

  • This is not a bug, assuming the teammate doubling the gen with you also had Prove Thyself. Kindred was also activated, Prove was still active in the background. I could be wrong

  • This modifier should stay in the game, it's super fun, shakes things up. Only thing I found it's a tad sweaty but other than that, best mode so far.

  • Yeah, you can see the red stain better with filters but don’t forget you still need game sense 😃

  • The Pop nerf I get but Pain Res? Unnecessary change imo. This will just incentivize killers to tunnel even more and slug even if they’re trying to win.

  • The game is too dark and it’s hard to see. Filters also help those who are colorblind. I want to see the people who think using filters are cheating try them. It’s still a normal game of DBD.

  • Yeah, this perk has been bugged for a while and the more people find out about it, the more prevalent it's becoming in pubs. I don't know how this perk hasn't been killswitched. It's literally giving you infinite toolbox charges and allowing you to pop gens super fast.

Wow, that's such a garbage argument. First of all Hug / V1 is not hard to master, and second thing is no matter how hard killer to learn it's not justifying him being unfair / broken, leaving expirienced survs with no counterplay.

V1ing is actually hard to master, and now, it takes actual skill to pull off with hug teching being gone.

Also, "experienced survivors" know how to counter Blights. It's the survivors that greed pallets/have bad pathing that always complain about him being "broken and unfair".

  • Pretty sure him lunging faster is unintended.

  • It seems it fixes when getting into a game and doing it again.

  • Here are my thoughts:

At first, I was worried he'd feel awful to play as without hug teching but personally to me he feels a lot better and stronger. It still is disappointing removing what made playing him fun and the collision hitbox is a little bit too big.

Why was Soul Chemical nerfed after the PTB? It was already weak in the PTB. Summoning Stone was also a strange change.

It's also disappointing the double fatigue bug is still a thing 5 patches later.

Double speed nerf needs to be reverted to help in chase now considering he can't hug most tiles anymore, otherwise, playing the sweaty and boring way will be the most efficient way to play him now.

If you're okay with it, please let us know which platform you play on and (if on PC) what the specs of your system are. This update shouldn't have an impact on performance, but we'd be happy to take a closer look.

Happening on all platforms. Lots of stuttering/rubberbanding. RPD main hall stairs literally can't be walked up right now without getting stuck from the stuttering.

  • You can see red stains through certain walls normally without filters? That's the game, not reshade.

There's no way in hell you enjoy how dark this game is.

So its ok to use one thing that gives a competitive advantage over another because why?

Reshade does not give you a competitive advantage lol.

am not having any other reports of this and having a quick checks on streams and our own tools, not seeing this replicated at all - can you check your connection etc.

Hey Mandy. It's nothing to do with internet lag. It seems the engine port has caused a lot of performance issues.. I just had a Yoichi vault a window, as I swung at him, he rubberbanded backwards into me and screamed as if I put him into the dying state but he didn't go down. And I'm getting bad stutters/rubberbands hooking and carrying survivors to hooks.

Isn't this something that only affects the person using it? like only the person with the mod can see it while other people see the match normal?

I don't know anything about mods...

yeah, only the person who’s doing it can see it, but it also comes with cheats..

You are the only one who can see it, this is true. But you can also give yourself an advantage doing it. As already said, giving Trapper pink Traps. Or you can change every Outfit for Survivors in the files into something super-bright so that you can spot them from miles away.

I am not sure if modding is still possible on Online-Servers, OP might referring to someone who played this in an Offline-Lobby.

it works on both. wish bhvr cracked down on it due to the fact it comes with literal cheats

  • I mean, that’s intended? Flashbang isn’t a flashlight, don’t know how flashbang is becoming a problem all of a sudden when there are ways to counter them and that’s how they work.

  • DBD is the only game where low ping punishes killers and high ping benefits them. Makes 0 sense.

It s so stupid, because now we have all the people "claiming" that xyz is a bug and therefore an exploit. It's so annoying.

    Follow by the book.

  • See, I don’t go against as many Blights as I wish I did. The one’s I do go against are either very new or running 4 slowdowns with his strongest addons M1ing & trying to tunnel. I personally love getting Blights, but Blights that actually use their power.

I always try to play Blight for fun (chase build with aura reading) but I’ve been having to play more sweaty to keep up.

He isn’t as bad as people make him out to be versing. Yeah, facing a good Blight sucks, but it’s appreciated and respected when they’re good with their power.

  • DS is still good if used right, against S tiers it’s really not that great. The perk needed a buff regardless.

  • Hug teching is a “bug” that should’ve been incorporated into Blights mechanics. It is completely harmless and any semi-decent (you don’t have to be the best survivor) knew how to play safe against it.

All the Blight haters rejoicing when bump logic was more effective anyway.

I’m all for playing Blight in the most boring & simplified way but don’t come complaining when y’all realize bump logic Blights are awful to go against.

  • @Brokenbones said:

People claiming to be Blight fans defending hug tech by saying "normal" blight is boring/too easy

    lol

I mean I am a P100 Blight main with over 1000 hours on him. I'd be glad to show you how sweaty and boring a safety and bump logic Blight is.

Yeah make the gameplay unfair because we allow people to abuse an exploit for long enough that guarantees unfair hits and downs for their own amusement at the cost of the other side having next to no way to deal with it. Sure it will be great! /s

If you abuse an unintentional feature that can significantly increases your chances of winning the game more easily which doesn't allow for mind gaming or any intentional counterplay to mitigate it's effectiveness, then it is unfair.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3687306#Comment_3687306

Sorry but no, i don't respect people who abuse an exploit, who tries to excuse it's existence by calling it skill expression because it allows them to end chases more easily than what is intended and who also thinks it's something we should accept just because it's been in the game for so long now.

It doesn't matter how many copius argument people want to present in order to justify it's existence, it's an unintentional bug that tips the scale in the user's favor while screwing the other side over more, nothing more and nothing less, something even the devs realizes.

There is skill expression behind it, Wesker's hug techs are even harder to pull off. The average pub player will obviously lose no matter what but good survivors know how to counter it. Against a good Blight, it's obviously going to be harder to counter. All it takes is playing safe and smart lol.

While we're at it, lets patch crouch and pluto teching. These 2 techs negate hitboxes.

  • Honestly saw this coming lol. Time to safety bump and play the most boring way imaginable.

  • Blight Tag and C33 are the most broken addons in the game, and they are far more OP than old double speed, Vial, etc. They're fun to run together, but, very busted. There's almost little to no counterplay against double iri Blight.

  • Little late to this but double iri on Blight is probably the most busted add on combo on the game. These 2 add ons are much stronger than old Alch Ring & Vial. Why double speed got nerfed for these 2 add ons to exist is beyond me. Double speed were Blights only balanced addons, and I would like to see the double speed nerf get reverted and double iri nerfed.

  • @Mistarpotato said:

Adding further to this: Just discovered Blight cannot Rush on the outside stairs on Temple of Purgation without getting hitbox collision.

    • RPD doorways, Library and Fire Escape stairs (anywhere else you're able to rush you're likely to back bump)
    • Majority of Gideon
    • Garden of Joy main house
    • Crotus Penn main building doorways
    • Top of hill on swamp by shack
    • Blight is getting stuck until the game finally realizes he's trying to bump inside fun bus on Autohaven
    • Rubberband and stuttering issues
    • Major back bumping on Eyrie and Nostromo
    • Wherever there's elevation Blight will get invisible collision

He feels terrible to play right now and he's my main. He's almost unplayable on Gideon and RPD.

  • Add Garden of Joy to the list of maps that are affecting Blights collision. He cannot rush on the porch or through the main hallway of the main building without being forced to bump on air.

  • I'm also noticing after today's update, Blight is getting random microstutters and rubberbands while walking or in power.

  • To add to this, Blight cannot:

    • rush down Gideon stairs without bumping, and cannot rush/convert through doorways on Gideon without bumping off invisible collision
    • cannot rush through most of the doorways in main building on Crotus Penn Asylum without bumping off invisible collision
    • cannot rush up RPD fire escape stairs because the hitbox of the railing is somehow bigger than it was before
    • cannot rush around random foliage/filler tiles on various maps without back bumping on an invisible hitbox
  • Double speed got nerfed for this. 2 balanced add-ons just for an iri version of Adrenaline Vial but on crack.

  • I've mostly been on killer this event, trying to solo queue and get BP on survivor was terrible unless I was SWFing (might be better now with the BP rewards getting doubled). Granted I play Blight and a little sweaty so my games feel the same to me but I've noticed on other killers I'm going against super sweaty SWFs. I will say all the red is an eye sore on some maps I use bright filters on.

  • I would not run the Event Offering just because it cancels BP offerings and you can still interact with the event stuff without the offering. And you still make more BP stacking BP offerings than from the event unless you're on killer. Pretty underwhelming event imo, was excited because I'm working on P100ing Sable but you barely even make any BP..

  • Disregard this post, Mandy just posted on another thread saying it should be resolved now.

  • image.png

"Could not connect to RTM server." when trying to log into DBD.

  • This literally just happened to me, and I am also seeing other people on twitch getting affected by this too trying to SWF.

  • Survivors have done that ever since Yui's release. lol - it's just meant to waste the killers time

  • This was probably the most uninspiring and laziest thing DBD has done. There’s really nothing for both sides to do. There’s no chaos or fun. I’ve been seeing everyone play as if it’s a normal game of DBD. BHVR could’ve just added a hardcore mode if this was their idea.

People are still going next or DCing, you can apparently complete the event tome challenges in normal games, killers are still tunneling & slugging. Not a very engaging game mode. How did this win over 2v8 and other modes?

  • It's just the entitlement that makes this community toxic.

  • What’s been burning me out is MMR & playstyles.

It’s not fun when you solo queue and get teammates that DC at will, crouching edge map while you’re rotting on hook while someone else in chase and another is hiding in a locker. Or when you’re being chased by the killer and 1 gen has not popped or progressed. Or you get a killer that’s tunneling/slugging your teammates out off the bat.

When I’m on killer, I’m obviously 3-4king quite often (I am a P100 Blight main), and I still somehow get paired against actual babies. I get anon survivors that do, and say, the dumbest things, I get survivors running Calm Spirit/Distortion that avoid any type of interaction whatsoever and once you find them, they last maybe 10 seconds in chase cause they don’t look behind them or path efficiently. Or I get survivors that start throwing fits and tossing pallets not even a minute into the game cause they see it’s a Blight. It’s just so demotivating and boring.

If you aren’t cranking gens in solo queue, you lost, if you aren’t tunneling or applying pressure on killer, you lost. If you’re just trying to run fun builds on killer or survivor, you lost. Hate it.

Adrenaline Vial still got nerfed with the update compared to before the update, I know they buffed it from PTB to live servers but it's still a considerable nerf.

    • Token Recharge: 7 seconds => 14 seconds
    • Maximum Tokens: (Unchanged)
    • Movement Speed Increase: 10% => 5%
    • Look Angle Increase: 50% => 20%
    • Reduced Turn Rate: (Removed)

That is still a nerf considering how busted the original version was, the recharge for his power is basically double what it was before (with the addon) and the look angle, the main appeal of the addon, also got nerfed as well.

That being said, I feel as if it still should be completely reworked entirely, it's just a weird addon that has never really had a niche or identity since it's been changed so much and had so many effects added and removed over the years.

Have you actually used Vial after the update? It is still pretty good, and the recharge time isn't just the problem with Vial.

  • Flashbang is 5 meters. Firecrackers is 8, I think.

You can hit some crazy angles too

  • Yes, working on P100'ing Saga 😍
