You can turn on anon mode yourself if you are concern about people viewing your profile or seeing your ingame name.
That isn’t the point. Anon mode players are able to see names & people’s profiles, which gives them more power to be toxic. I think OP is suggesting a change to combat the toxic anon mode players.

It was just an add-on rework, not him. He isn’t getting nerfed.
His 2 iris have been nerfed (balanced) since the PTB. He will still have infinite rushes but with a cooldown now in between missing a lethal rush hit, fatiguing & breaking a pallet/wall while in power. C33 got nuked.
New Alch Ring definitely will be a bit problematic because it will also turn him into a tunneling demon like Iri Blight Tag but it’s nice compensation for nerfing double speed. You’ll be able to play around jungle gyms & certain tiles more freely without having to use too many rushes and traverse the map better.
Adrenaline Vial was questionably re-buffed post-PTB when it deserved to get nuked.
-
Shame seeing some people justify and downplay getting slugged out of BM in here.
So, an Onryo bringing Knockout, clearly has 3 hooks and basement near, but slugs everyone trying to just play the game and not “bully” the killer at all and stares at all 4 survivors on the ground for 4 minutes until they all bleed out is fine? Never used their power, didn’t care if they were getting looped, they down someone, slug back & forth and just stand there until the survs bleed out. There is no excuse for that type of gameplay.
I had 2 Onryo’s do this. 1 on Coldwind and 1 on Swamp.
The 1 on Coldwind never used their power, they just slugged with Knockout, I get downed and get humped and the Onryo spams M1 over me, however this Onryo did hook as I got hit on hook.
The Onryo I got on Swamp brought Knockout just to hit & run and watch everyone bleed out.
You cannot tell me that type of behavior is justifiable because “the killer was probably having bad games” or “they’re just trying to win” or “it’s part of the game”.
Slugging for the sole purpose of ill intention should be punishable, and there should be a bleed out option for the survivors if x amount of time has passed. The slugging mechanic also needs a rework, hence bad actors abusing game mechanics.

Everything doesn't revolve entirely around chase power.
Blight's ability to traverse maps is one of his biggest strengths. The most important part of vial was the recharge speed, because it meant he could traverse indoor maps (like RPD and Lery) much faster, even though those maps have a whole bunch of forced turns that require way more tokens to navigate than the open maps. This is also why the speed addons were nerfed.
This was also the main motivator of Nurse's addon nerfs. The nerfs and removal of her range and recharge addons means she took an absolutely huge nerf for sustained map traversal speed.
Sustained map traversal speed is very important, because many survivors like to pre-leave generators at the first sign of a visual terror radius. The quicker a killer can go from "survivor is in the terror radius" to "killer is at the generator the survivor was working on", the higher chance that they'll catch the survivor, or at least catch any signs of where the survivor went.
Sustained map traversal speed also makes it easier to defend generators, or to get in a chase with a survivor that is 30 yards away and is running away from the killer.
it certainly does. you can still traverse indoor maps fine with double speed, vial, it was just making it easier for you. the recharge speed only helped him in chase. the only indoor map i agree with is Lery’s. that map is probably one of his worst maps.
current vial allows him to be super lethal, whether it’s traversing the map faster or ending a chase in 15-30 seconds. you’re rewarded too much, and should never lose running vial. that’s the problem with vial. that’s why it deserved a nerf, it was super unhealthy & free.
it makes absolutely zero sense to add a speed bonus back to vial when they could have just buffed blighted crow a bit. 4% instead of 3%. that would have been fine. buffing vial, actually making it slightly better than it is now with the add-on changes, who thought that’d be a good idea?
c33 is just not going to be worth using now. i can just run ring + vial and get way more value.

The strongest part of vial was always the recharge rate. Vial + Shredded notes might as well be infinite rushes, because of how ridiculously quick the tokens recharge.
If you haven’t noticed, the new theme seems to be nerfing time efficiency. We have Chucky, who some people think gets “guaranteed hits with their M2”, but their M2 is on a really long cooldown. And we have the reworked Bloght addon, where Blight literally gets infinite rushes, but has a really long cooldown. And now vial is getting nerfed, to force Blight to have a longer cooldown. And alch ring got reworked, so it forces Blight to have a longer cooldown.
Also, BHVR never said this was supposed to be a nerf patch for Blight. They repeatedly said addon pass, which this is. Blight is absolutely getting overall nerfed from this addon pass, and that’s the important part.
Not only the recharge rate.
You had 7 rush tokens
10% speed (16% with Crow)
50 degree turn angle
And a silly hitbox on top of that.
Vial + Notes was busted cause of the recharge time, yes. But Vial itself was a problem.
Changing it to 5% from 10% isn’t much of a nerf considering you still have 7 rush tokens, no more turn rate penalty & the 20 degree turn angle bonus, you’re going from nerfing his lethality to rebuffing his lethality with Vial, making it slightly better than before and changing C33 to be utterly pointless to run. Do you see my point?
What BHVR could have done was balance around Vial. It was fine and in a better spot on the PTB. If they were going to buff it, they could’ve removed the 2 extra tokens.
Onto forcing Blight into a longer cooldown, the cooldown is still pretty short that it will barely hurt a good Blight.

It's 5% flat bonus, not stackable for each Token used like a Crow. That's your first mistake.
Normal turn rate is a deal, but for good blights it never matter to be honest.
+2 Tokens not +7 Tokens - he needs much time to recharge it...
Yes, 5+2= 7, +7 rush tokens
Crow is still going to stack with Vial? what
Much time? You forget he has 7 rushes.. 7
Normal turn rate with a 20 degree turn angle bonus, which is even sillier than how Vial currently is. This isn’t nerfing how free and strong this add-on was. It deserved to be nerfed into the ground. Good Blights also don’t run Vial because they know how strong it is.

The Hillbilly
Hillbilly deserved all buffs he got in this PTB. He is extremely fun to play as and against. That's important. Players can have fun with him and use his Chainsaw and don't worry about 50 kilometers distance for missed Chainsaw Attack. I have played Old 2016-2020 Hillbilly and the new Hillbilly really reminds me of old one. That's really good. Old Billy was perfect balanced. Current new Billy will be perfect balanced at current state of Dead By Daylight. I really like his addons. We can play bump addons, cooldown addons, engravings, overdrive duration / generation, turn rate addons, lopro, carburetor & more. Finally Billy doesn't need to run the same addons every match, because his base kit is strong now and he has more interesting addons.
The Blight
Interesting changes. We will see...
Adrenaline Vial seems not bad. Only 5% speed (was 10% before). Okay, he got 7 Tokens, but he doesn't have recharge buff. If Blight uses all 7 Tokens he needs so much time to recharge it. Alchemist's Ring will be better than Adrenaline Vial in my opinion and nobody complains about it and it really suprise me.
huh?
+7 rush tokens
normal turn rate (-55 turn rate penalty removed)
+5% speed instead of 10 (8% with crow)
20 degree turn angle
and you think ring will be better than adren vial..?
ring + vial is gonna be silly..

MMR 😍👏

For Adren Vial I would be content if they just added back the turn rate penalty and left it at that. The 5% speed they added back to it could probably even stay. It definitely needed a nerf but it wasn’t very good on the PTB. The overall net change from live in that case would be removing the faster recharge and decreasing the speed from 10% to 5% which would’ve been fine imo (with the penalty staying).
I disagree that C33 was overnerfed though, all you had to do with it on the PTB was do 1 rush of at least 4 meters and get a turn rate increase that was better than both of the other turn rate addons combined. And then you could get even higher too. It was way too broken and I don’t think 20% would’ve been enough of a nerf.
It doesn’t make sense adding a speed bonus back to an already once before, strong add-on. The token recharge bonus is gone.. but now the -55 turn rate penalty is gone. I’d argue Vial will now be even better than before.
Vial + crow paired won’t be 16% anymore but 8% is still pretty good for an add-on with a lot of bonuses. You may as well change Vial’s rarity to Iri.
The issue with community feedback is there are people who don’t even play the killer or put time in to understand the killer that advocate for the silliest changes.
You never saw a good Blight run Vial + crow because they knew how lethal of an add-on it was. Double speed was balanced. Survivors could still outplay a Blight running double speed, Vial, you were guaranteed a hit. You were rewarded too much with Vial.
Let’s also bring Vial’s hitbox into the argument. Vial has an atrocious hitbox with objects and survivors that’s never been addressed, which also makes Vial a silly add-on to run realistically.
C33 was indeed overnerfed. 11% consecutively over 3? meters, but in compensation BHVR re-buffs Blight’s most strongest add-on? That’s not smart.
I don’t think BHVR realizes keeping the turn angle bonus and removing the turn rate penalty just made him better. They should have removed the 2 extra rush tokens and turn angle bonus if they were going to do this, and reintroduce the token recharge– then, it’d be fair. Think about it, 7 rush tokens + 5% speed (8% with Crow), no turn rate penalty, 20 degree turn angle.. That’s not really fixing the problem current Adrenaline Vial has. You’re just reintroducing how incredibly lethal and aggressive he was with this add-on but now with no turn rate penalty.
C33 now caps at 3 stacks. They should have left it at 33%, or, bring it down some. 11% is literally making the add-on not worth running. I’d understand nerfing it if it didn’t get capped, but I’m pretty sure it was just bugged on the PTB so that didn’t justify an overnerf.

Been going on since Singularity chapter 🫠

Blight, but maybe a new Billy main in training after this update.
-
For perks, if the 2 legendaries are cool I might p100 him.
-
Re-buffing Vial and nerfing C33 into the ground. I don't understand.. but at least they listened about Iri Tag and added a cooldown between missed attacks, fatiguing and breaking pallets
-
i get them sometimes but when the killer is playing to BM, i just go next.
i also run UB now in solo queue to counter the slugging
-
cool design, but still the most boring killer to face. stealth, haste + hindrance is so silly
-
Best part about bully squads is they don't touch gens. They are only there to grief. Just keep em slugged til you're close to a hook.
Force them to run closer to hooks and if they have UB, just slug them over and over. Sucks but you have no other choice. Most bully squads I face are always never good in chase and only want to annoy the killer so you're already at an advantage.
-
make iri tag cause a shockwave every time he rushes. the shockwave gets stronger per rush, and any survivor within its radius gets downed from impact.

Explain how this will make tunneling a player even easier, cause I don't see it. All this will do is make players think "Oh I only have two hooks on the same guy, maybe I'll chase someone else". And if they don't, they were going to tunnel regardless.

c33+Adrenaline vial is going to be decently strong. Iri-tag+Alchemist ring likely will not be popular because of 20 second cooldown but it will have interesting gameplay.
I think your likely to see people run Shredded notes+Blighted crow as new "old Alchemist ring+ Blighted crow".
Shredded Notes is more of a memey add-on. You’re nerfing yourself putting it with crow. It’s good with current vial cause of the recharge time but mostly for the laughs.
You might see iri tag/alch ring for a bit but double speed will still be popular and more than likely still ran. I honestly might main crow/ring now. I wonder if that will become meta cause of speed and distance, but I fear it’s gonna be even easier overshooting where you’re trying to go.

J flicks won't come back because turn rate doesn't affect look angle on flicks.
33% turn rate + the 15% from umbra salts. And iirc, J flick was achieved from his old turn rate, before they capped the rate he can turn. Lilith was somewhat able to do it with vial and umbra salts when his add-ons got buffed originally. We won't know until tomorrow though, but I am pretty sure J flick will be achievable again with this add-on change.

c33 - I'll have to use it to see how good it is
speed - Still really strong, it's still multiplicative with itself
vial -- Pretty bad add-on now
Ring - If anything it will have some wacky tech interactions, no ones ready for the 6 second long quadruple back moonrush XD.
C33 will only be good cause it could possibly bring J flick back. Other than that, turn rate add-ons are really useless. I don't think vial's hitbox has been touched so I think pairing vial with new C33 could call for some cheesy flicks. Think that'd be the only reason I'd run it, but I'll probably be running crow/ring. Yeah, a 5% loss to speed ain't that big of a loss. I can't wait to create "drift blight" with iri tag/ring. Moonrushing is gonna be hilarious with iri tag & ring. Just infinite moonrushes.

Yeah, come on, we can't even heal anymore. We need a little help, they could always implement it and then reverse it if it becomes a problem.
I think the basekit Kindred should also show the aura of The Pig at all distances while a Survivor is hooked too. She is too scary, I can't handle her.
If Kindred becomes basekit, you’re never getting off that hook in solo queue. Bad idea.
-
As a P100 Blight main, I am pleasantly surprised with the add-on rework. I was getting ready to be completely disappointed but alas. Everything looks good, only thing I’m unsure about is the C33 change.. Umbra Salts & Plague Bile were never really good add-ons to begin with unless you’re new to Blight and learning him. Considering you could already control Blight’s turn rate via input those add-ons were really never impactful. But let’s see how it plays out on the PTB.
Rest of the changes look interesting. Wish Ruin wasn’t a hex though.
The amount of cheesing that’s going to happen to counter new STBFL is gonna be funny.
Edit: forgot to mention about the FOV slider, it’s about time. playing killer on default FOV is horrible, and no more wasting a perk slot for shadowborn. also, RIP shadowborn 2016-2024

It's 100% a matchmaking problem. My solo queue matches go one of two ways:
A: my teammates are about my skill level, but we face a relative baby killer who gets a couple hooks and we 4 out.
B: I have one decent teammate and two players who compete to be the worst players alive, and the killer is something like a quad slowdown Blight with thousands of hours. Game is lost as soon as the match is made.
There are probably close to 100k players peak, yet it is so exceedingly rare that I feel like I had a solo queue match that was well made. Something is always off. The teammates are great and the killer is awful, or the teammates are awful and the killer is good. I don't know what it is about how they built the algorithm, but it is almost impossible for it to put together a well played match that results in a 2k.
And maybe I'm wrong, but until they start providing receipts and showing us what is happening in our matches regarding MMR, I don't believe the devs.
You explained this pretty well. Definitely aren’t wrong.
I swear the one out of the many matches I play in a day turns out actually good with competent teammates just for the killer to DC or have low hours on the game getting gens slammed in their face with 0 hooks. I could lose my solo queue games over and over and still face killers way above my teammates skill level and still manage to get new players as teammates vs a semi-experienced or experienced killer. Feeling like you are the only one that has to do everything or else you and your teammates lose is exhausting. Why I go next if a match is turning to crap or lobby shop til I feel like I got good teammates.
-
With the addition to bots replacing DC'd teammates, that defeated every purpose of leaving the DC penalty in. Both sides DC at random. Juice the killer for too long? They DC. 2 tap someone 20 seconds into the match? That survivor or their teammate will DC. Killer someone doesn't like? DC. Also, why punish survivors being left on the ground to bleed out and wanting to go next? What fun is left in the match when you're left with or faced with bots? Increasing the penalty and advocating for harsher punishments will just steer people away. No one should have to be forced to stay in a match if they're being bled out til timer expires or a match turns to a stalemate or there are only bots left.

Because it allows them to camp more. Face camping doesn't work anymore, Bubba is no exception. But proxy camping with Deadlock buys you more time to do just that and also gives you better results in the process.
I have yet to see a Bubba that camps because they want to be gen rushed. That makes no sense.
I mean this is what OP's whole post is about.. and that's the typical outcome against your average pub Bubba running Agi/Iron Grasp/Mad Grit/Insidious. You crank gens because they aren't going to leave that hook until that hooked survivor dies on hook. I have yet to face a face camping Bubba with gen slowdown. And I still see Bubba's after the self-unhook mechanic continue the cringey basement/face camp tradition.
Those types of Bubba's WANT the survivors to make mistakes by hook trading, and OP's post illustrates how to escape that.
-

Deadlock exists.
Camping Bubba’s have one goal and that’s to face camp. Why would they run gen slowdown when that’s not their goal? They want to get gen rushed and hope survivors make mistakes trading.

M2 dependent. Soooo.....
Slinger, Huntress and Nurse?
Wesker, Demo, Xeno, Deathslinger, Nemesis, even Chucky now.
They either M1 only or they hold their M2 for ages to save stacks.
The issue is people being too lazy to learn a killers power they use STBFL. I see so many Wesker's and Xenomorph's on NA servers that run STBFL, they only M1, and are never good with their power, which is the main reason they are using STBFL: because they aren't good with their M2. Hell, I've even gone against a P2? Blight in the past using STBFL and I wanted to throw up.
There isn't one excuse to why people are using it on killers with special attacks.

because a big streamer (you know) started to complaint about it being ´´too opressive´´ and the entire community decided it's true
Not because it's oppressive, because of M2 killers that are too lazy to learn their power and rather rely on STBFL instead, or hold their M2 scared to hit someone to save stacks.
-
What about the M2 killers that run STBFL and completely rely on this perk? Imagine going against an M2 killer and they only M1. Wesker, Xeno, etc. It's pretty common and it's unhealthy.
Or Deathslinger's that are scared to lose STBFL stacks. It's a plague.
-
I've had survivors accuse me of cheating because I knew where they were. I don't think they realized the perks they were using reveals their aura to the killer. Plus, I always run aura reading on Blight.
-
Well, the beginning of the event I had an injured Ada DH right in my face that not only weren’t on first hook yet, they also did not have DH..
Went against a wallhacking Spirit with 330 hours on the game VPNing
Lots of survivor games where I have teammates with 200-1000 hours on the game where they crouch edge map, never help or get 2 tapped against a killer that also has around the same hours as them..
Haven’t had many snowball fights with killers because they’re either playing seriously or take getting hit by snowballs offensively.
Just your typical event. Bad actors come out, solo queue worsens, no one wants to participate..
-
Finally got a Mikey last night that had a sense of humor and was throwing snowballs back. Haven’t really faced any killers wanting to partake in snowball fights without DCing and thinking it’s toxic (had a Ghostface tunnel out then DC after getting hit with snowballs during chase). It’s really not that deep.

I seem to be playing a lot of games where things don't add up. I have players using perks they don't have, some are moving way above normal speed. You ether can't catch them or if it's the killer you can't outrun them. When facing chucky I've had at least 5 games where using the flashlight triggers but the stun does not work, and they are moving so fast. Like at 300% speed. I check perks at the end and none of them add up to what the player is able to do. I've seen multiply killers doing Mori without the Perk being slotted. I run the perk Bond and have seen s teammates that seem to be using perks they don't have for movement and with constant speed bursts.
Is something broken or am I just delusional?
Well, unhooking yourself on second stage before endgame is legit. That's the anti-facecamp on hook mechanic. However, I did go against an Ada that wasn't even on first hook yet neither did they have DH and DH'd right in my face.
The "300% speed boost" could just be Background Player, it gives an insane speed boost after someone gets picked up by the killer. The game's also super buggy right now
Edit: I realized you're talking about killers having an insane speed boost.. As I said, could just be how buggy the game is atm

The time it takes to heal someone, especially mangled, could be on a gen instead. Trying to heal someone when there are 3+ gens not done is a huge waste of time. All a killer needs is survivors being too altruistic. I’m neutral on it tbh.
-
I mean you’re more likely to face cheaters in high MMR lobbies cause it makes sense but after going against a legitimate wall hacking Spirit with less than 400 hours on the game this past weekend I don’t think it matters the MMR anymore.
But there’s an event going on rn so makes sense that the cheaters are out. Only time they seem to come out.
-
It's been like this for a while, for me at least. Can 3-4k back-to-back, get put against gamers with 200-1000 hours, lose a couple games and I'll be going against more experienced survivors. Which is supposed to be the other way around. Survivor, I can escape, etc, and still get teammates with ~200 total hours on the game also against a killer with roughly the same hours as them, and I'm the only experienced one with triple their hours. I just don't get it. MMR works when it wants to otherwise it never really does.
