Blight does not suffer on Gideon. Nearly every tile has reliable collision and fully hug techable. I bring Gideon often to run bull dozer blight, and I don’t think I’ve ever lost a match on that map.

The game launched without a party system.
There's also the fact that most full 4-man SWFs are griefing sweatlords out to torment the Killer rather than play the game.
I’m pretty certain Mandy has stated the game was created with the full intent to be a party game… plain and simple, what you’re asking will never be done. It would literally kill the game.
SWF does not = good team.

I understand your viewpoint but do you understand that what you are saying is just plain ignorance?
Saying things like:
I get insulted in chat all day lol. Brush it off, move on. We can agree to disagree.
It’s the nature of multiplayer games. People are mean behind screens.
I just got facecamped and hit on hook with nodders, same as OP.
is naive and ignorant.
Saying that something is "ok" just because it always has been like this is not an argument. Times change and we as humans need to improve and overcome our ancestors flaws. Just brushing off attacks against who you are is not as simple as you think. When you got insulted in cod lobbies it was most likely not because of who you are.
Just because something is the way it is does not mean it is good or not has to be changed. If the nature of something is bad, would you just leave it like that or at least try to change it?
Being face-camped because someone hates who you are is not in any dimension the same as being face-camped because the killer is mad. One is hate the other is toxicity. One is a crime against human rights the other is just proof that you are an #########. And saying you suffered through the same thing is just ignoring the impact that hate has on your mental state.
I am not part of lgtbq nor am i part of poc, but i still try to understand the struggles that most peoples of those groups have to go through in there lives and i hope you really understand that saying things like "i get face-camped, just like you" or "just brush it off" or "i too got insulted once" can really hurt.
Again, i get were your points are coming from but pleas try to change your viewpoint some times.
That’s naive and ignorant? No, it’s cynical realism.
Where did I say it was ok? Please show me where I said this hate was ok because it’s been that way?
No, it really IS that simple. It’s all about perspective. Should you receive hate for who you are and who you want to be? Absolutely not, you don’t have to agree or believe in some of the choices or lifestyles people live, but everybody SHOULD respect each other. But it’s going to happen no matter who you are, so why even give the time of day to the people who are trying to put you down if you know it’s going to happen?

We are asking for the reports to actually be taken seriously, which will likely happen once the report feedback is implemented. Definitely it becomes natural if it’s not fought against, it’s part of the process to erase these kind of behaviors. It feels good when you report somebody for these reasons and get feedback of them getting punished. The more serious people take this with time the harder the penalties will be and more than one person will think it twice before risking it. Leaving people unpunished will definitely not help the cause. If you want to provide actual help as an outsider, report these situations when you see them even if you are not the target, it helps and reassures people more than you think. If not just move on, but please, never tell others how to feel on the harassment they receive because of their identity through their experience. Cheers!
I agree, reports should be taken seriously, and I do report hateful speech, but I still stand that you should not let it bother you.
Does your identity change because somebody said something mean to you? Do you need affirmation in yourself about who you are? I do not agree with letting words have so much control over how you feel. You should be comfortable and confident in who you are, who gives a damn what other people think about it, whether you’re LGBTQ or not.

I don't give a ######### if I get facecamped, what bothers me is when I get specifically targeted and harassed because of my identity.
I don’t wish that for anybody, but what can you do? It’s the nature of multiplayer games. People are mean behind screens. Just report them and move on.

All that yet you are telling other people you don’t know anything at all about how to feel about the harassment they receive for their identity in a game or anywhere. A game for a lot of people is meant to be a safe space, and them experiencing harassment for their identity does not help them at all. Why ignore it when it can be punished? This person said they got insulted in chat as well. Those words mean nothing to you from your outsider perspective? Sure you lack empathy if you can’t be in this person’s shoes. Again, do better and support people to feel safe.
Guess we are just different. I grew up in old cod lobbies..

You are completely missing the point and you lack empathy. A person is being targeted because of their identity (which is probably not the same as yours, therefor you don’t know how ir feels nor know the background of the harassed person) and you say it’s not a big deal like you can decide how this person has to feel. Don’t ever do that and instead listen, try to understand and support or don’t even bother interacting. This person does not need anybody’s “ignore and move on” cents, that’s not how you fight these situations. If you don’t see a problem in any of this more power to you, hope you’re happy being privileged, but not everybody is and they have the right to speak. It’s like when Blackface Bubba was a thing and it was used to target black characters and content creators, and then when they spoke up about it non black people were lecturing them on how to feel about the situation. Listen, learn and do better.
I lack empathy? You know nothing about me. I don’t know how it feels? I’ve seen people executed in the Middle East for their identity and beliefs, with my own eyes, so no, I don’t think somebody being mean to you on a game is a big deal. Don’t talk to me about “privilege”. You again, know nothing about me.

Don’t tell somebody to ignore a harassment they face especially if you don’t share the same identity they say they get harassed for. Ever.
If it’s ignored it will never be addressed therefore it will never get fixed.
We all deal with toxicity in this game. I just got facecamped and hit on hook with nodders, same as OP. I died, hit next, and moved on to my next game. It’s that simple. It’s not a big deal.

Yeah, so if you tag a survivor with the Slipstream, they can EMP to disable the pod and remove the effect from their body at the same time. You basically hold the EMP as a survivor until the killer has spent the time using their power and then take it out in an AOE all at once. The devs seem convinced the issue is with the number of EMPs though.
Yea I honestly don’t think the change is going to improve anything.
-
The never ending EMPs make it very unfun to play him. I gave him multiple tries but gonna put him away until they nerf the EMP.
Against an uncoordinated solo q team who doesn’t use the EMPs, he feels great, and fun getting to actually use his m2.
A semi competent team however turns him into a basic m1 killer.
-
I saw somebody mentioned an adjustment such as allowing the crates to only print up to 80% and the last 20% had to be manually done. I’d like to see how that would play out.
-
Yea EMP is dumb OP right now. A half decent team turns this killer into a straight M1’er with no power. It’s quite miserable.
-
You must forget his hitbox on release.

Kill rates will definitely increase as the result of this change. According to Nightlight, shadowborn is used by 7.2% of killer players, giving it for free will allow these players to equip one new perk. Say, this new perk improves their killrate by +10%, then the overall killrate will increase by 0.7%. That's just mathematical, and ONLY considering current shadowborn users.
But in reality, EVERYONE will use the new FOV, not just those who equip Shadowborn. We're already seeing everyone use the visual terror radius and that thing barely even gives any advantage. Now imagine what will happen for increased FOV, which unlike visual terror radius, gives an advantage that players DON'T already have. Everyone will equip it, motion sick or not. As a result, experienced killers can use it hide the red stain a bit more, they will be less affected by FOV techs so the survivor gameplay will change. Killer streamers will use it so the viewer experience will be different. Etc.
I'm all for accessibility features, but they must have a trade-off, otherwise they will be used by everybody including those who don't need them. In the latter case, they shouldn't be considered accessibility features but an actual gameplay change. The current shadowborn, gives an advantage to everybody, including people without motion sickness, but abuses are prevented by the fact that you need a perk for it, so mostly the people with real motion sickness use it. I'd argue the visual terror radius thing, should have come at some expense as well, eg. reduced radius for the sound-based one.
Bro really said using the FOV increase is abuse if you don’t need it for motion sickness.
GODDDD FORBIDDDDD killers get a QOL change. 😂

They will no longer be able to mess with killers' first-person POV, especially with the console one's, that's a massive buff!
I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve ever fallen for an FOV tech. Calling it a “massive buff is a stretch.”
@Ayodam said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3448977#Comment_3448977
I personally think the HUD update was a buff for solo queue survivors. Your whataboutism aside, there is a reason nearly every Blight main runs Shadowborn, and it isn’t to deal with motion sickness. I expect a better argument from you, you normally have very balanced takes like Karu. Maybe you’re both off today for some reason.
I do not run shadowborn for motion sickness. I don’t get motion sick. The base FOV is just absolutely terrible. It’s really as simple as that. I don’t run shadowborn on blight because I need it, but rather because moving that fast on base FOV is again, TERRIBLE.
This isn’t about whataboutism. It’s a QOL change that is needed.

It’s a buff for all killers as it expands their field of vision. It’s surprisingly disingenuous of you to argue that something that allows killers to see more isn’t somehow advantageous. But I guess, in the end, we’ll just need to see how the change plays out. If it’s too much of a buff I’m sure BHVR will adjust it.
Just like the survivor hud?
More FOV is the most needed change in the game right now. “bUt oUr sNeAkS aNd MiNdGaMeS”
Sneaking is such an outdated play style in this game now. I hardly come across any survivors other than the kind that beg for chase. And I still don’t understand what “mind games” an fov increase would eliminate. FOV techs? Lol

At least u're honest, compared to the rest that tries to play it off as an "accessibility option".
What does that matter? Yes, I can play without it because I want to utilize all 4 perk slots. But I shouldn’t have to chose between comfortable FOV or a good loadout.

Yea so people who are trying to learn these “dominant” killers get absolutely wrecked every single game.

Visual TR does 0 for people without disabilities. Sure the 1st implementation was too "forgiving" giving huge advantage against onryo. That's no longer the case. This is true accessibility feature.
Survivor HUD was never meant to be accessibility feature. It's purely gap-closing feature to allow soloQ to be less miserable compared to SWF. There's nothing more to it. Any competent SWF get exactly 0 benefit from HUD, because same and more information is already shared between them as is.
And FoV techs are mindgames. Especially when Oni runs at you with your ability and you just hide behind the barrel. If Oni sees you or expects you to do this, then you as a survivor just die. If you use shadowborn, you will see said survivor hiding behind the barrel - completely negating any option (AKA mindgame in this case) survivor could have done. Exactly the same thing would have been the case if stretched res returned to the game for survivors - it would be again possible to track killers above walls - negating anything they could do to get the hit.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3447122#Comment_3447122
But it's not QoL. It's removal of mindgames. That's the problem. If FoV could be adjusted without actually showing more information to killer, then I would call it accessibility too... That's NOT the case.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3447078#Comment_3447078
Interesting. I see many tryhard blights taking the perk - knowing the players to not suffer from headaches... I wonder why if it's so bad...
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3447154#Comment_3447154
FoV techs work against competitive players. If you can't pull it off, then that's your problem. The case I was talking about before with Oni (and same thing applies to blights) is prime example that happens way more often in high level play then in average-to-beginner level.
Also it's not niche. Against competent blight/oni and to lesser degree nurse/spirit hiding mid-chase (for a very very short time) is one of very few options you have. FOV is paramount there.
And your example with deaf people ignores the fact, that they get LESS benefit than healthy people - visual TR gives exactly 0 extra information. That's the biggest difference. Even if visual TR is nice, you will not get extra distance on killer or escape a hit because of it (well the 1st implementation was broken - but it was rightfully criticized and fixed).
And again. You calling the perk F-tier doesn't make it so. The perk is very good on high mobility killers. You can call it F-tier on said clown where it only helps against 360's or window techs or any other animation-lock-fov-techs there are. That's not much. But on mobility killers, it's quite often difference between hit and miss.
A removal of mind games? You mean FOV techs won’t work as well anymore? Get over yourself dude. “Not a QOL”. It’s the DEFINITION of a QOL improvement.

You’d hate to see the good blight’s hit 180’s. No it’s not a glitch. His power is fully designed that way. There is a peak look angle, and then a separate turn angle when you begin a swing. All you need is high DPI to utilize the full potential of his angles.

Not only C33 and Alch Ring. Speed add-ons and Hug tech are also his problematic parts.
I’d be ok with making speed addons non-stackable. I don’t run double speed as is.
Hug tech is the easiest thing to counter in his kit…Hug tech capitalizes off of clueless survivors who try and camp pallets or sit on the other side of the loop and “wait”.
-
You make the same thread over and over. Truly thinking blight has no counters destroys any credibility. He has tons of counterplay.
c33 and alch ring need changing. His basekit is perfect and should be the example of a fun, interactive killer. Unless you’d prefer the majority of the roster that is m1 killers, that are just plain boring to play against. I don’t know how anybody finds a challenge in looping against basic m1 killers anymore.
I would happily take all your blight games in exchange of all my m1 games. Atleast the game is fun.
