Yeeeah just had a soloq game on rpd. We got 4kd at 5 gens because she was genning condemned on us insanely fast.
4 moris less than 10k points. Super enjoyable game. I love dying at 5 gens.
-
Maybe should've put this in the bug report part of the forum?
-
Ohhh my friend ordered it. She lives a ways away and we were supposed to playbit on a road trip but it didn't arrive in time. 😭 wanna play it so bad it looks really good
-
Windows for sure. I cannot run a decent chase without it.
-
Can any mods help?

Unless you're a killer that can punish survivors waiting at the exit gate (Deathslinger, Pinhead, Twins) there's no point going there at endgame. Just go kick pallets or spam your power for BP, or go afk.
Or demo. I've had a few cheeky downs by portaling and using the stealth to precharge a shred and down ppl waiting in gates before lol

You dont need to pop DH when the killer whiffs the attack, you just gotta make the killer whiff while you have it equiped
So that doesn't seem to be working. Does it trigger on lunges or only standing basic attacks?

Not really. Killers are already not vaulting so much, it's hardly happen. And dream pallets are doing nothing if you don't stun killer.
I mean they're kind of handy on some of those awkward vaults that force a killer to break a door to keep up like on campbells or ormond. Just not much.
And yh the pallets are worse than useless. They should persist for a second or 2 after dropping then auto break
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Yes, i hate how it made killer gameplay even easier.
Auto pallet breaking & exposing survivor at Bloodlust 1 are terrible ideas. And survivors powers are doing nothing and useless.
Hard agree. Survs got shafted on the invitation powers. Although the vault blocker does come in handy sometimes.
-
Bit janky rn. There are a lot of players on for the masquerade and toxicity is through the roof. But BP is flowing like water.
Hopefully it'll calm down in a couple of days. Currently the balance mechanically between killer and surv is pretty close. So killers are tunneling and facecamping a lot to make up for the shortfall and survs are genrushing extremely hard.

I tried this 3 times. First time I got a Blight that went AFK at the start of the game, second I got a Wesker which ignored for practically all game so it was 10 or so minutes of me sitting on a gen, and then attempt number 3 was this!
Unfortunately the quality of the video is pretty crap so Im gonna have to go tweak some things in OBS, sorry!
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3476575#Comment_3476575
Getting into a high mmr lobby might as well be impossible but I did reroll until I found Survivors with either high prestiges or a high amount of hours (best way I could gauge it, low prestige Nea had 2.4k hours)
As for the actual game, yeah idk what you expected this might as well be impossible lol
EDIT: Same thing goes for this video where the quality is pretty bad, going to be trying to fix that moving forward
That was a dope game 👌 you juiced first chase long than I can with full health and an exhaustion perk 😅 nice of the deathslinger to let the bill go too.

Oh god my eyes. Man netflix is such a godawful company.
Tbh they are probably making bank off of it. Unfortunately these stupid kids games like roblox and fortnite are the biggest moneyspinners so companies will make sure they get content 😒

Demogorgooooooon. I live the vibe of the killer being a truly supernatural inhuman boogeyman. Plus he is one of the most balanced killers in the game imo, requires good skill and tactical planning to use his shred and portals.

It’s not the slugging, it’s the AFK. In the reportable section of the game it mentions AFK, and refusing to participate in normal gameplay. 🤷♀️
I mean when all the survivors are downed it's a finite timer. It doesn't matter if killer walks around or stands still.
Like would you report a killer for AFKing in the end game collapse? Don't get me wrong it's a ######### way to play. I kust don't think buvr will do anything about it.
-
@Ayodam said:
I think you can report that as griefing or not playing the game.
Ironically I don't think you can. Slugging has a finite timer so bhvr won't punish killers for doing that.
-
No mither, object of obsession, made for this and quick and quiet. Super high risk build but if you make it work could he amazingly fun 🤣

Even if your idea was viable… How does any of that stop a killer from turbo tunneling 1 survivor at 5 gens? You seem more upset by survivors giving up than killers handicapping the match 2.5 minutes into the match.
Obviously it doesn't. But tunneling is a bit different. Don't get me wrong I don't like it as a tactic, it's lazy uninteresting and far more effective than it should be.
But it can be countered. I've seen games where the killer has been complete outskilled by someone they try to tunnel and get a 0k because of it. Complaining about tunneling is like complaining about sabotages, flashlight saves, swfs etc.
DCing or soft DCing i.e. letting killer kill you at the beginning of a game is something that the other players cannot stop, aside from killer but most will simply take the free kill and play as normal. DCing carries a penalty for a reason. It throws the entire game practically without exception and is hugely inconsiderate to the teammates you are supposed to be working with. If people are going to simply rage quit every time the game doesn't go their way or they see a killer/perk they don't like, they shouldn't play at all.

If someone dies early and you want to escape you should start thinking about hatch. 3v1 basically being a loss for survivors is a major, major design flaw of this game. But it is what it is.
I usually do. Sometimes I'll try making friends with killer and get the odd farming game. And there isn't much bhvr can do about it. If 3 survs have an even chance to beat the killer then 4 would stomp them repeatedly.
As with most things the players are the problem. Survs ragequit and use hooks to remove themselves from the game. Killers tunnel and face camp. Personally I think bhvr should stop players using hooks as a soft dc. Remove the penalty for trying to self unhook and drop the percentage chance to unhook and/or decrease the number of attempts they get. Plus it would make self unhook builds and offerings viable instead of a detriment.
-
Had a hill billy i was convinced was cheating earlier. He was whipping 180s and round corners during his chainsaw charges, i was expecting to see his purple turn speed addon in the post game, but he only had the speed engravings.
No way he should've been able to turn the way he did. And he seemed to always know where everyone was, homing in on ppl who'd been hiding in decent spots.
-
Not a fan personally. I dislike survs unaliving themselves on hook already because when I'm a surv it ruins the game because it takes away any chance of winning and when I'm a killer it takes all the challenge away so also ruins the game.
Having killers be able to nope out of the game at any time wouldn't be healthy for the game. If I'm finally performing well in a game as survivor (which is pretty rare) I'd rather not lose out on a bunch of bp because killer decided to sulk and end the game early.

I might get diagnosed with a skill issue, but I feel like this needs to be said:
Nowhere To Hide might be a little bit too much. It has no cooldown, 24m is a pretty good radius, it lasts for 5 seconds, can be enhanced by Lethal Pursuer, and most importantly, it follows the killer's movement.
t's an example of powercreep in DBD. Most of the other aura perks have pretty simple ways of activating, and trigger as a result of survivor's actions. Healing, destroying totems, unhooking, completing a gen, stunning the killer, etc. NTH is one of the few that rewards the killer for doing something they'd likely do anyway. It has great synergy with every other gen kick perk. I'm not a new player, so I don't immediately fear the terror radius and get caught by it often. Needless to say, it's been really rough to adapt to the perk rising in usage. I'm gonna have to start using Distortion, but as we all know, it feels sucky to have to change your build just for a threat that may or may not exist in any given match.
Despite all that complaining, I'd say it's mainly a problem of high tier killers using the perk and benefitting in a way that other killers couldn't.
Distortion is your friend. I always run it and it's a great perk. But it's extra useful against nowhere to hide. Killers who use it get lazy when they check near gens, they expect the aura to show up so they don't bother searching unless they hear something. You can hide almost right next to the gen and jump straight back on because they'll leave almost immediately.

His face permanently like this

Brilliant as usual. I particularly like the jill+ada one 🤣 very similar to me whenever I trigger blast mine lol

When they disconnect
-
I think the general consensus for killer is 0-1k loss 2k draw and 3-4k win
Interesting though that you can get 8 or 9 out of 12 hook states and have it still considered a loss.
Personally i don't really care, in fact I kind of dislike 4ks as killer unless the survivors really aggravated me. I tend to deliberately let 1 or 2 survs go per trial. 4ks don't mean ######### to me anymore unless it's for a challenge or adept.

It cannot be a skill issue as there is a MMR system... This community, toxic even on the forum.
People simply disagreeing with your opinion is not toxic. Got to admit i agree with the others, if you are consistently getting 0 kills then you need to change your playstyle. Mmr is wonky at best.
Example if you refuse to tunnel, ever, then you are hamstringing yourself. There is no killer rulebook, tunneling, camping and slugging are all viable tactics. I don't make a habit of them myself but if gens are flying I'll fall back on that because it gets me easy hits, hooks and pressure.
If gens are flying there are plenty of other tactics, run regression perks, herd the survivors into 3 genning themselves or pressure gens more effectively. There's no reason for you to commit to a chase that is going to last ages. Once I identify good chase runners in a team I'll slap them and let them run of injured to deal with them later and target the weaker links. Catch them later when they have less options or when they slip up.
I play killer a lot and i do well in the majority of my games, can't say the recent perks and updates have changed that much.
-
Idk I find knight pretty easy to counter. Just make distance when they go to drop a guard. There are killers much more in need of nerfing than knight.

I am now enamored with Autodidact. It's just so satisfying seeing the heal progression jump from like, 50%.
Love autodidact. Slow start but an amazing healing perk once it gets going. I found deathbound for pyramidhead, never used it before and had no idea what it did when I saw it 🤣 but it really helped me home in on players when they healed and i caught a couple unawares because of the oblivious. Good perk and interesting to run

@appleas said:
Pop. I held a 4 gen long enough with pop to come back from 2 hooks with 2 gens left as Nemesis.
Pop is so good. One of my favourite regression perks. If you wanna use it more it combos very well with overcharge and nowhere to hide. Takes off a chunk, highlights the survivor so you can chase them off the gen to let overcharge spin up. Plus the OC skill check gets missed a lot.
-
Demo's iri addons are pretty cracked. Constant aura readin AND undetectable whenever you leave a portal? I never lose a game when i play iri demo. Makes it so easy.
-
I'm surprised ds ever got s nerf in the first place. It explicitly punishes hard tunneling we need perks like that in dbd
-
I think people keep missing the fact that using mft also pretty much stops you running exhaustion perks. And people who say it's "worse than DH" are clearly smoking something pretty strong.
DH was a defining meta perk and like 80% of survs were running it. When I play killer I'm not seeing anything like these numbers of players running it and when people do run it, it doesn't give me any grief.
-
@crogers271 said:
It's covered in the bug report section.
You need to do it three times in a single game (and according to some people, have both nodes that lead to it completed as well). I just dealt with it as well, but once I did both of the above it completed.
Ty. That's a huge pain, getting 3 triggers in one match is kinda hard. Now that I've tried to do it I've hardly seen any invitations around even with the aura reading.
-
Not sure how you can apply etiquette to a situation where supernatural killers are mudering innocent survivors lol.
Ppl gonna play how they like, everybody will react differently and you'll never get the playerbase to subscribe to a certain code.
As killer, personally I'll always take the first free hook from an afk survivor. Down them with my power for more bp plus it gives the other survs opportunity for bo with unhooks and heals then leave it for a bit see if they come back. Im also a bit of a softie, I'm prone to sparing survs, usually let the last one or two go, especially if there was a DC. and I'm a sucker for being offered a gift and will usually spare survs who do so, unless they've been particularly toxic early game.
As surv once the gate is open I'll stick around to help with unhooks or to get some healing bp but I'm not one for teabagging out a killer as I leave. Partially because I don't like to be toxic, partially becuase no one likes to get caught out by blood warden.
-
Weird flex but ok. Tbh I've noticed both sides are playing extra sweaty recently. Not me though 😊 2 kills and 2 releases when i play killer. Plenty of bp for all
-
Mm don't think dbd is well suited to esports or competitive play. An asymmetric game is by it's nature very difficult to balance, so all of the preset rules competitive dbd games have to use seem pretty stifling.
The few competitive games I have seen seem pretty boring compared to halo esports matches which I really enjoy. Dbd just doesn't lend itself to that kind of viewership. It can be interesting sometimes to see the tactics survs will use or watch good killers make plays I haven't thought of or tried, but I get that from streams, esports doesn't add anything to it.

Don't forget gears got screwed up with a bunch of nonsense.
Lol they kinda redeemed it though. Gears 4 was utter trash but gears 5 was actually really good.
-
I personally agree with OP. I enjoy playing as and against slinger. His ranged attack is high risk high reward for downs and allows him to get first wound easy. And a truly skilled player can really pull some cool tricks with him.
Also helps that i personally HATE playing huntress, lullaby irritates me and stresses me into leaving gens, plus she can simply spam hatchets if she misses a throw. Slinger has to reload so he is punished for bad aim.

Probably just as well they didn't. When big companies like microsoft get their claws into smaller companies they tend to ruin games.
Look at what happened to halo. The original 3 games were amazing. Soon as microsoft got a hold of it the last 3 games have been absolute dog #########.
I find smaller companies tend to make better games. They care more about making a good game versus just churning out prepackaged crap for quick turn arounds. I'd hate to see a big company get any influence over dbd.
-
As survivor I love a tight game. Too many games are landslides, but i love a game where I make it out by the skin of my teeth. Like when the gate opens while the killer is striding towards me.
As killer i really enjoy making friends with survivors once I've killed a couple. Particularly new players or players who are struggling 😊
-
I don't mind the odd farming game. But too many would get tiring if killer farms from the outset.
Me when i play killer i often kill 2. Double hook the last 2 and then i tend to let them go. Game is still challenging and they get a free escape.

SURVIVOR
Hoarder: Survivor can carry two items at once. Press the Active Ability button to switch items. Carrying two items do slightly lower your agility; medium and fast vault speed is reduced by 10%.
Relentless: The killer's mistakes motivate you to stay focused. When the killer misses a basic attack against you, gain 5% haste for 5 seconds.
Boon: Escaping Death: Your totem manipulation allows you to leave part of your vital strength in a boon, which empowers your skills. Gain 9% speed to repairing, sabotaging, healing, unhooking, vaulting, cleansing, opening exit gates, and unlocking as long as your totem is standing. If the killer snuffs out the boon, you scream and reveal your location to the killer and the perk disables for the rest of the trial.
Spirit Fury: Having managed to stun the killer once, you feel more than ready to strike again with all your might. If you stun the killer with a pallet, the perk activates. Next time you stun the killer, the pallet breaks on contact and the killer is stunned for 4 seconds. The perk deactivates.
KILLER
Meddling of Man: You're not gonna let the bravery of a few interfere with the Entity's plans. When a survivor takes a protection hit, that survivor becomes the obsession and the perk gains 1 token. When the perk reaches 3 tokens, the obsession can be killed by your hand. Any time the obsession switches, the perk loses all tokens.
Hopeless: The survivors might have repaired the generators, but the trial is far from over yet. The exit gates take 8 extra seconds to open and any survivor who interacted with an exit gate lever suffers from a 10% Hindered penalty that persists 30 seconds after a gate has been opened.
Built for Cheap: The shoddy goods circulating in the Entity's grounds have quirks you are familiar with, which helps you find whoever use them better. Whenever a survivor fully deplete the charges of an item or use an action which consumes the item, the survivor's aura is revealed to you for 5 seconds.
Hex: Circle of Pain: Any injured survivor who stands within 64 meters of the Hex totem is Broken. The effect lasts until the survivor leaves the totem's radius or until it's cleansed.
Meddling of man actually sounds like a really fun perk 🤣 I'd legit be down for this to be added to the game. Would be so much fun to punish bodyblockers with it lol
