Idk why people are being smart asses to the OP, he never said the killer was bad or that the survivors were any good (they were obvious trash.) No he said GEN SPEED is dumb, because it really is. Even a mediocre team who have no business winning can still all escape if they just focus on gens, that is the OP's point so why don't yall turn down the sarcasm.
-
If you do learn him I strongly recommend you stay away from his topknot ad on during the learning phase otherwise you might cripple yourself when you run out of them. Get good at him with his lower tier ad ons then once you feel you are comfortable with him then use his stronger ad ons.
-
I never respect DS unless I know for a fact it will cost me pressure. I'll eat DS all day because as soon as I do that survivor is getting tunneled off the hook. Why do you ask? Because I am forced to play utterly ruthless if I want to win. Nothing person it's just business.
-
If you are good at survivor then I say OoO is the strongest perk.
-
Deep wound needs a rework, the entire mechanic is pointless.
-
Killing yourself on the hook isn't bannable but letting the killer catch you on purpose is.

Coming from the dude rocking BBQ, Nurses, NOED, and Corrupt with an iri addon, on a killer with an arguably broken insta-down ability basekit. Your build isn't any more enjoyable.
That remark is how I know you are a survivor main and have no idea how a killer works. Nearly every killer Iri ad-on in this game isn't just mediocre they are outright trash as in literally worse than the brown ad ons.

Im just saying it takes some effort to use a key you have to do the corresponding ammount of gens, so mabye they should make it for ebony mories that you have to hook the survivors twice and u get more bps too
But I don't want you to think I don't believe an ebony isn't bs. They are total bull, but a key is much worse. As for an Ivory I think those are perfectly fine tbh.

It takes less effort than a mori, you only need your teammates to do a "few" gens and then die off, or they can just die off. You don't need to do anything but hide to use a key.

Keys arent that bad because you have to do all 5 gens
I don't mean to sound rude when I say this: Are you serious right now? A key being used after all 5 gens has almost never happened to me, but a key being used the moment I finally kill someone? All the god damn time. You know how many times I'll go from a 4k down to a 1k because of a key the moment one person is sacrificed? It's utter bs way more than a mori.
-
No it's used all the time because it is the second strongest perk in the game only to OoO.

"admitted"? Sorry that I am using good Perks.
But yeah, I know, only Killers are allowed to use strong Perks. Survivors using strong Perks is a bad thing.
And well, unpopular (and true) opinion - the only good Perks for Survivor are second chance Perks or Perks which speed up the Objective. Other Perks dont make much sense.
I guess you can look forward to being a one perk survivor then when PH comes out.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Difference is, the Killer can see my Flashlight and change their Loadout or the Killer.
I cannot see if the Killer is a Pyramid Head, making 3 out of 4 Perks useless.
And that is the problem right there, you just admitted to running full meta perk builds. Maybe switch it up instead of nothing but second chance perks.
-
Again? Killer has never been the power role.
-
No, a killer can kill all 4 survivors and still depip, I see no reason why survivors should be the exception. Also if you escape and depip then you were utterly useless and deserve to derank.
-
I actually don't understand why people think BBQ is some kind of super strong perk.
-
Tank legendary skin for Oni.
-
It's honestly not worth it. Tbh the only hex perk worth running anymore is DH and even that is mediocre. Hex perks in general are bad, with the exception of HG.
-
While he wasn't using the same perks I have experienced this also.
-
Never gonna happen bud.

Maybe you are just not as good as you think you are?
That is rude.

Spirit is a strong killer and more should be like her, if you want to argue she is boring or annoying then sure whatever, but this game needs more strong killers not less. If you think she is bs then don't play her, problem solved but some killers need to be able to at least pressure a good swf and not just get totally overrun by them. Spirit is fine, I find people who counter her all the time and I can do it myself just fine as well. I for one enjoy feeling like the killer is an unstoppable monster who is gonna kill me if I don't escape quickly.
-
Oh looks other survivor main pretending to be a killer main in order to try and get his least favorite killer to vs nerfed.
-
@Rydog said:
Every killer uses BBQ and Pop like 80% of the time. This indicates a problem with those perks, not with any specific killer.
And Freddy is fun as heck.
There is nothing wrong with BBQ, it motivates the killer to not camp, and pop is pretty much required on 80% of the killer cast. Everyone running these perks indicates a problem with the grind of this game as well as gen speed, not the perks themselves.

Sure. It's ez af with killers like spirit with her green recharge or duration addons, with mori, BBQ, noed, and all that stuff.
Okay so pretty much everything I'm already use to, thanks for confirming. I love how you used noed as a threat lul, SWF always expect noed and plan accordingly, only fools and solo ques cry about noed.

I returned to the game a week ago after three weeks away from the game. Now I found that even with the gen speed and infinite nerfs (in addition with the other major nerfs to Survivors) killers tunnels and camps or proxy camps every stupid ######### match, even more than before. I understand that they need to kill but playing killer it's ez mode now, they can get kills without playing like bitches. They have a lot advantages after BHVR listened them whining about everything since the game came out (Pallets, Windows, Exhaustion, DS, Balanced Landing, "Genrush", Toolboxes, Maps, etc). Honestly it's boring and annoying playing DBD as survivor now with so many killers making the game boring af. Killers please understand this: If you can put pressure on survivors you're trash, stop blaming gens or maps or crying to devs about nerfing everything. Survivor community already had too many nerfs.
Tell you what: I'ma get my three buddies I play Survivor with and we can que up some KYF and we'll show you just how easy killer can be.

Nemesis is a staple for some killers isn't it?
It's a mediocre perk that is only decent with a few builds on a few killers. By itself it is a bad perk. I'm talking a "oh shoot that perk looks nice, what kind of builds can I use with it!" kind of perk.
-
Sounds like a fat ggezbabykiller to me.
-
I'm disappointed with the killer perks....again. Seriously I can't recall the last time we had a really nice killer perk added to the game.
-
I can't speak for Trapper but for doc pop+overcharge is solid, OC sucks for the most part but is decent on doc and since you are kicking for pop anyways and it can also double as a psudo surveillance.

Enduring shouldn't work against DS period. Enduring is for pallet stuns, the devs finally got the perk right. When DS was first changed, Enduring caused DS to not have any effect. If a killer is guilty of tunneling and they get DS'ed, they shouldn't have that stun minimized because they had a perk, that is just silly. I'm actually pretty humored by all the DS nerf posts lately. Guys, you seriously need to git gud at killer. You are embarrassing yourself.
People who don't play killer really shouldn't tell those who do how to play, or to gitgud. :)

I know that freddy is fine, but a for a lot of survivors he doesn't seem fine. They think that He's op because of getting fake pallets/snares, as well as teleportation as well as the fact that placing snares doesn't slow Freddy down. They say that he was given too much. I was trying to think of ways to make him feel better, without actually taking away from his powers.
The vast majority of people rarely know what they are talking about. That is a life lesson my friend.

Freddy is fine. The killers should feel hard to vs. It should feel difficult to escape and as a result, feel more rewarding.

There is no perk in the game that "fully counters" any killer's power.
IW counters her power almost completely, she replies almost entirely on sounds during her power. And don't bring up scratch marks because if you are running wild like that vs a Spirit then you deserve to go down.
-
@Botiz said:
One thing that Tru3 brought up recently which I agree with - remember when survivor mains used to complain because Spirit had collision? Now collision has been removed, they're still complaining about her. What more do they want?
They want her to be weak and easy to counter with their totally original perk builds.
-
This is still exploiting something that is not intended and thus IS report-able. Holding the game hostage isn't the only thing that is report-able. Report and move on, the devs will fix it sooner or later.

IMO I agree, but what perk are you talking about and what killer?
I'm talking about Iron Will. Because her power relies almost entirely on sounds this perk counters her power almost entirely. Spirits use Stridor because IW is used so often and it forces you to just guess where the survivor is if you aren't bringing Stridor.
-
@BattleCast said:
IMO you shouldn't need a perk to fix a major issue with her power.
IMO you shouldn't be able to bring a single perk to fully counter a killer's power.

@Predated said:
Like, not even that much and perhaps triggering from a larger height, but it just doesnt make sense to me that a survivor needs 2-3 seconds to recover from a massive height before they can start moving again while a killer can be charging at 110-115% from with 0 punishment.
For example: jumping from thompsons house(I do love the new window tho, thanks for finally making that upstairs hook a tiny bit less strong), I get a 3 second stagger. This in itself is not a problem, I am not running BL and if I use Lithe, I lose about 60% of my speedboost, this all, mechanically, is fine. However, the killer being able to vault, drop down, charge a hit/ability while falling and not recieve any penalty from falling to the ground always felt a bit odd(especially while carrying a survivor, you'd expect a killer who drops down from Hawkin's second floor to the first floor to have some impact).
Even if the killer had like 5-10% of what a survivor experienced, that still would be a massive advantage while still being a tiny bit of a punishment and would make so many structures accessible for a chase rather than only being viable when you run BL. Aka, iron works rafters, hawkins drop(which was super OP because of old BL, but nowadays is pretty much guaranteed death), dropping from a second story window in pretty much any building, carrying a survivor while dropping from a height etc.
Basically, you have structures in game right now that are 100% guaranteed hits for killers unless a survivor is running BL. Since the BL nerf, most survivors no longer run BL unless they use a map offering in the first place. So a lot of in-game structures are avoided by survivors because its a guaranteed hit for killers. Now by adding a tiny bit of stagger in massive heights(which also cancels/reduces charge time when still charging), you add a reason for survivors to try pulling a high risk high reward play, which would give the killer a 95% chance on getting a hit, but add a reason for survivors to actually use killer-sided structures without BL.
Fine we can do that, but I want to be able to quick vault windows like you do then.
-
Derank yourself then try again. It's possible to get it at red ranks but with how the emblem system screws red rank killers over it really is just a role of the dice if you get it or not. Survivors pump out gens despite people dying on their 1-2 hook? Single pip at best my friend. It doesn't even take a sweat squad to stop you from a double pip, just a couple of fools.
-
@TragicSolitude said:
Wait, are sounds actually working again? I've kept the game on mute for months.
They are not.
-
DS, no longer wears off over time but instantly wears off when you perform any action other than vaults and pallet throws or someone else is hooked. Also inactive when all gens are finished or you are the last survivor.
-
@SunderMun said:
They just need to make it so Stridor doesn't stop her only counter from being a thing OR they could make her actually skillful and make it so wearing a headset doesn't mean you auto-win a chase.
Stridor is meant to counter IW not the other way around.

Abusing DS - that’s hilarious. You can’t abuse a perk that’s a one time use even if you miss it 😂 it has its purpose and it’s to prevent you from preventing me from playing the game. You clearly have the entitled idea that you deserve quick easy downs and re-downs without repercussion. The game is trying to teach you to find new targets. That’s what separates good players from bad players 😂
You're right, them hopping on the last gen that is 80% finished to try and finish it, only to see me coming and instantly hop in a locker is totally not abuse, I just need to NoTtUnNeL!

Yall screamed for a freddy buff and now look what happened. He is way too OP now. He has 3 powers and a ridiculous lunge. Oh andddd fake pallets. He needs a nerf or rework or SOMETHING. I am so tired of going against Freddy and 90% of the time he has fake pallets.
I don't mean to be THAT guy but....gitgud my dude, no offense but he isn't that hard to escape from. If you struggle to survive then GOOD, you are playing at a level where you should be, you shouldn't have an easy time escaping it should be a struggle, a limp across the finish line. Besides, idk about the rest of you but I have the most fun on survivor when I just barely escape, it is a huge adrenaline (no pun intended) rush and far more fun than an easy stomp fest.
-
When they are very obviously abusing DS I will tunnel them into the ground, that and a last second key switch.

Well then, explain it to a dummy such as myself, yeah?
I said hit authority needs to be killer based because of the way latency works, you can argue hitboxes are trash all day that isn't what I was talking about at all. If hit authority is server sided then you will run into a ton of issues such as hitting the air, survivors getting their speed boost long after the killer "hit" the survivor among many other problems that would take a long time to list. I do think hitboxes are silly in this game for sure but that isn't what I was talking about at all.

Hit authority need to be killer sided? I'm sorry, but saying that bad hitboxes should be in the game to aid killers is ridiculous. Only badly skilled killers would agree with this.
I get the impression you have no idea what I was talking about because you are way off the mark.
