Legion is undoubtedly annoying to go against just like doctor , I personally put them at the same level of annoyance. Other than just being annoying though ,no real problem with him.
-
It’s fine as is imo, all you need is you and 1 other person running empathy with Sabo boxes. 99 all hooks. Easy peasy and it’s quick.
-
I think it sucks ,but if they changed it for killers or survivors you’d see more dcing and more people leaving matches instead of seeing it through , and like Killers being able to opt out early , or slugs being able to bleed out faster, it would just turn into a bigger issue honestly so it’s fine as is imo.
-
No ,but really just try your best to rank up Bc it’s less face campy the higher you go.
-
Heals , extra points, trying to figure out risks for going for a save, the timer runs out you don’t have to go over there if you’re just “done” with the match.

You are pretending we don't live in a era when most Spirits that are even in a new chase go phase running back to to the unhook as soon as they see it happens...
Or the good old "I'm gonna go walk away now."

-Heartbeat comes back-
"I forgot to ask if you needed anything while I'm away. No? Okay. Bye."
-Heartbeat lessens then picks back up-
"I forgot I left the stove on."
But yes, the Survivors who run straight over and unhook you as they hook you are very obnoxious as well.
every time they look like they are far off enough to get some decent distance to try to avoid tunneling they come right feckin back, and it’s trending lately. It’s maddening.

I do this too when I run Santa Claus builds. I usually start the gme with a flashlight then dump it at a gen or in a pathway people are likely to pass over.
I kind of learn to play like Trapper hahah.
Survivor Santa has a lot of free ######### come get it boys and girls! You get a toolbox! You get a medkit! You get a flashlight. And you , you’ve been naughty here’s a broken key with no add ons😈

Recently, everyone got extra toxic.
Constant keys, insta heal, and Object. (object needs a big fat nerf it's way too powerful especially with swf but that's another topic.)
Killers are bringing lots of Noed, Mori, and other #########. It sucks.
I’ve said before on here like 6 months ago that ooo needed a nerf/rework Bc it was way too strong. Everyone jumped down my throat about it.

Yes i have seen a lot in the past couple days... I horde all mine though. It's mine! However, if a teammate dies and leaves a key behind i bring it with me.
I horde flashlights until prestige Bc I never use them, then start dumping them in chests in game Bc like maybe someone else will use it?

Idc about nerfing or anything I just wish they cleaned up the lunge as far as graphics go for him. If height is the issue it makes no sense since hag who is also a little one whose in chase lunges look clean, while fredsters does not.

Not quite that long, surely. BannedCat has only been here about 7-8 months I think.
I was not a fan of Lowbei. He was funny, but mostly in a so-over-the-top-toxic-he-has-to-be-trolling kind of way. I'm cautious of derailing this thread, though, so I'll say no more.
Oh okay, idk why it felt like longer. Agreed fellow Fogerian.

There may be a lot of people being rude, but the OP of this thread was not one of them. Posting that comment everywhere that even mentions the delay because there are some people who are being rude about it is at best unfair and unproductive, and at worst derailing the thread for no reason.
Also, @ABannedCat isn't dodging anything. They have been around here for quite a while, and the "banned" part in their name has nothing to do with these forums.
Just generally, please stop assuming the worst of everyone. It's not as helpful as you think it is.
Right I’m pretty sure @ABannedCat was around before peanits even became a community manager. Long time forum dweller. Do you you remember that guy Lowbei? He was the only one that I ever found funny that ended up behind forum bars, he was a great troll, miss that guy.

Not to be that person but, who is Jim Pickens?

Perk that’s silences your crying while slugged and doesn’t leave a blood trail.
perk that allows you bt while taking a hit at the hook to unhook someone that’s being camped( so like smack goes into bt get unhook run for your life) could be abused by survivors hurting the team though. It’s a selfish perk
perk that grants you surroundings immunity like if you’re crouch walking through grass or whatever it doesn’t move or make noises

I think they should buff the stack gain on bbq even further to discourage tunneling while still making it worth the killers time to not do so. So like for not hooking the same person twice in a row after four you get an additional bp %

Rather than an Exhaustion perk I think it should be like Quick and Quiet or Dance With Me. Unlimited, but it needs a recharge of 20 seconds or so. The time it takes to recover is up for debate.
Yeah , maybe 60s 50s 40s? Only covers 8s per aura read. I think that’s bbqs time?

If Distortion had Unlimited use and worked on Survivor Aura Reading perks, then you could run OOO with it and see the killer all game and never be seen.
That’s actually a really good catch I didn’t even think of that, i think that’s fair yeah.
-
@Killmaster said:
Unlimited tokens there is no reason for there to be a limit in the first place.
Unlimited would make it too strong imo. I’d be okay with it changing to an exhaustion perk and being unlimited or an obsession perk and being unlimited ,but that’s the only way I’d even feel like that’s okay, even then it might be too much. I feel like 6 is a sweet spot.
-
@Mochan said:
Unlimited would be great. Though I'd make a stipulation that it only works on Killer aura reading perks.
It should not work on Survivor aura reading perks for obvious reasons.
What do you mean?

@CakeDuty said:

That's why you start with 1 token, you're safe from the first time your aura get read. There are plenty of times during a game where you're inside the killers terror radius without actually trying to, like working on a gen close to where someone is getting chased or a killer searching for you. You'd gain tokens naturally and get rewarded for staying hidden. I like running Detectives Hunch from time to time and a lot of the times I'm surprised by how many tokens I've gotten from barely doing anything. The only downside to this is if you go against stealth killers, like a cloaked Wraith or crouched Piggy.
id be willing to give it a test run. I just think that it would defeat the entire purpose of the perk having to regain tokens In a terror radius if you’re playing defense ,and not offense. I use it as defense and it’s in my build most of the time to make sure I can work at full efficiency. Like killers use bbq(for stacks or aura) you know where everyone is 11 times(Bc lets be honest most killers just hook then zip to the next, and most survivors don’t counter it) or all the killer aura perks that don’t require they really even do anything besides wait for a notification or walk around. Maybe I just look at it differently but I use it to stay immersed, not pop gennies in the killers face.
-
@CakeDuty said:
I'd say let you have 1 token at the start of the match, then give survivors the ability to gain up to 3 stacks by during something like "Stay in killers terror radius for x amount of seconds". Then if you use a token you can regain it, but with a max of 3. I feel like with the amount of aura reading perks the killers got, it'd be fair to regain tokens. With the condition of staying in the terror radius for like 30 seconds, you'd still have to work to get it. Fits with the perk as well. Stay hidden inside in the killers TR to get tokens to a perk that lets you hide your aura.
I disagree here’s why.
i run distortion to save time from having to get out of auras. To hide in the killers terror radius to gain the tokens would be counter productive imo and defeat the purpose of the perk in my eyes.
-
@Hoodied said:
Meh, 5 tokens and its a deal
6 and I’ll start telling survivors to take being facecamped or tunneled as a compliment. I’ll even start saying bbq should stack to 6
-
I’ll say it, buff DISTORTION more tokens please :) BBQ IS FINE.

Obviously I find the rift unethical however the rift is the least of its issues. Servers are trash yet seem to have been launched regardless. DBD depends on its content to merely stay alive and they are burning themselves out. If they stop making content the game collapses.
I’m sure the swap from non dedicated to dedicated is new for an independent game company especially when they’ll have to code for the difference for in game functions, and graphics. They’ll have to also figure their parameters for what the servers can and can’t function with as far as capacity and adjust. It’s not a small task. Plus there’s synchronizing it to the engine.
-
I can’t even imagine what it’s like to be a killer on console right now. I’ve been getting yoinked out of a lot of matches due to bugs. I asked my friends and it’s been happening to them a lot too lately. It’s hella annoying.
I was working on a gen with a tapp earlier he just corpsed right beside it with two gens left. It’s the most annoying when you’re close to endgame and the teams ahead.

Exactly

I get why people use it, but maybe they’re overestimating the math or am I really underestimating it? If I hit all four survivors and they each heal another it eats up a total of 60 seconds, of I’m running sloppy and thanat then it takes up a total of approximately 80 seconds is that worth two perk slots?
If I run Haunted ground instead and I get just one insta-down with it that saves me 20 seconds give or take. Then the other slot run pop which gains you about 25 seconds.
Again Im not saying I’m right, but im not sure the slow healing build is stronger, maybe weaker, maybe about equal depending on what killer and how you prefer to play?
I think it really depends on how efficient you are as a killer. Higher movement speed killers get a really good advantage using the combo, I’d say Bc survivors are more likely to take the time to heal since they’re at greater risk. Slower killers benefit a lot more from once shot perks or a combo of both. It really depends on killer and how good you are at hunting I’d say. Other people might have different input. So if you’re slapping a lot of survivors repeatedly that’s less time they’re on gens Bc they keep stopping to heal over and over again. So it’s a huge time saver if you’re efficient at hunting. It slows the game down a decent bit.

Yeah, I guess in regards to self care it could be a real time waster. But against a medley, or multiple survivors healing another, or someone with Well make it, the difference is negligible.
Except for it’s not Bc at that point all the survivors are off gens healing which is a huge time waster if people keep getting hit and healing. It’s a good meta, that’s why killers use it.

I keep seeing this ever since a certain Stream used it, I’m sure it was all used before but not this often.
my question, why is it with using 2+ slots when Thana and Sloppy together change a heal from (I may be wrong) 15 second to about 19 seconds—22 second depending on how many are injured. It’s about 4-7 seconds, yes it’s 7 seconds everyone they’re injured but mathematically I feel like other perks can save you that much time over the match anyways.
if I’m missing something or underestimating the impact please tell me I’m stupid and tell me why.
It used to be so common and meta survivors stopped healing and had to gen rush Bc healing took for fn ever. There’s a pretty big difference in heal time especially if you’re using self care. A med kit with fast addons makes it almost normal speed it feels like.

Sure I get that and I play MK since probably 4 of that franchise, however comparing mk with dbd doesn't really hit the spot. See in MK you have the stuff that you need in order to be able to do the challenges, you have the character to unlock the end of the arcade towers now all you need to do is beat the npcs.
Here the problem is that
a) BHVR stated 70-80 hrs to complete the whole thing which is physical impossible.
b) Certain challenges require certain perks. So when you do not have those it kinda sucks since you have to grind to be able to grind
c) Even with all challenges completed you will not have finished the rift.
d) You can not do the rift at your own pace. So you can complete a couple of challenges, but the tiers do unlock over time at fixed dates. Why not let people go along at their own speed? In addition to that the most difficult challenges...
I read alot about how it will not affect gameplay since it is only cosmetics but that aint the whole truth about it. The rewards might be only cosmetics yet in order to get them people will do what is told or alot of people will try to do so. However people will have the same challenges as far as i am aware so prepare for alot of toxic people who only do stuff to in order for the other to fail at the challenge.
So yeah it kinda raises suspicion that they do not want people to actually fully complete the pass and it was specificly designed to do so. That leads to further unpleasant thoughts since it is after all a f2p monetization system in a paid game which already has ways to earn money via the cosmetics store ( i meant MT-revenue aside from dlc earnings).
Also you ask why change anything? Dude seriously the purpose of PTB is to get feedback, they make a change and want feedback for it so people give them their feedback. The real sad part is that this whole rift thing seems to completely overshadow the changes made to nurse and instaheals where lots of people put in lots of time to give their feedback with very good arguments.
That’s fine everyone else is allowed to have their opinion. I’m not knocking anyone for how they feel, or what they think. I think differently, I don’t personally see any of it as a big deal. You feel or think otherwise and that’s fine. I’ve played enough video games over my lifespan to see that this new installment is lackluster in comparison to other games. It doesn’t take much effort at all to be able to get a character and to level 10 to have their perks unlocked for them. They all have their teachables unlocked for them with one perk slot open to begin with. I don’t see that as an issue. Harder if you’re underprepared, but not an issue.
70-80hrs over 70 days also not an issue. That’s barely over an hour a day.
the more stuff you already have upgraded and unlocked the easier it will be sure, but you also have more experience. It will be hard for the newer players yeah, but I honestly don’t jump into challenge modes when I first start playing a game before I get my sea legs ya know what I mean?
i dont see a problem with limited time challenges and permanent challenges.
I see where you’re concerned about a surplus of toxic engagement to do a challenge but as the age old saying goes “there’s perks for that” .
so I mean both sides are going to catch it.
I think it will shake things up a bit. I personally am very excited about it.
i also take everything people say about the ptbs with a grain of salt Bc after 2-3 days everyone becomes disengaged and I don’t feel like it’s a large enough data pool, or long enough test to be written in stone as bible. If I think there’s issues after a first playthrough or so I’ll say something.

you might fail, but you’ll improve.
one day ruin will be nothing in your eyes
It is satisfying hitting those greats, I remember when I first started playing and thought ruin was just the scummiest thing a killer could use in their perk slot, now I’m relieved it’s ruin and not something else.

I lmao when I read your post, since MK11 faced such a huge backlash for having MTs in their game and the towers of time being too difficult of a grind. A backlash so huge that they chose to change the system.
You seem to not understand the concerns the community has about the archives at all.
I honestly just played the story mode of the game then put it down for mk11 but if you’ve played the other previous no’s then you know you can unlock different endings by playing and beating the boss with different characters. My whole point was even if you think a challenge is hard Bc it’s not your cup of tea that doesn’t mean it’s not do-able and to unlock everything you have to try other things not usually in your wheelhouse.

Short answer. I expect ruin. It can be game changing for either side, but I don’t think it’s a problem. I don’t have a strong like or dislike for it. It’s just ruin to me.
