Yeah dude. Um, I think imma leave you alone. You seem like a real powder keg.
Shouldn’t of said anything to me to begin with Bc it had nothing to do with the discussion, and everything to do you trying to make me out to not be level headed ,Bc I didn’t let them low key mock me, or try to blow smoke up my ass Bc they’re concerns aren’t my concerns. It really wasn’t your place.

you need to chill a bit. There is no need to be so confrontational.
or how about they were getting bent out of shape Bc I disagreed, and you can’t force me to conform Bc I have a difference of opinion. When they are like “lol okay bud” it’s super passive aggressive, and Bc I disagreed they projected their issues on me. So please , don’t take my disagreement and shoutout to their passive aggressive Retorts as not being kosher. I’m not going to be passive aggressive back, I’m just going to say it.
-
How about this don’t come for me because I have no problems with it. Don’t ask questions if you don’t want answers you don’t like. If I have an issue with it once it’s live I’ll make a post.

Except, as @Theoretical_Heart said, no one is asking for anything to be handed to them. The majority aren't concerned with the difficulty of the challenges, but simply with the discrepancy between what the devs said they were aiming for with The Rift and what we experienced in the PTB.
they are the one that brought up the challenges, not I. Learn to read before you ask others to comprehend.
-
🙄 most video games that have challenges or story bits to unlock have harder skill level challenges to earn that challenge reward. Sometimes you have to play a style you don’t like to complete the challenge or reacher higher. So your ARGUMENT IS NOTHING BUT A LAZY ATTEMPT TO BLOW SMOKE.
-
Yeah mostly Bc well I like to pump all my characters up with points anyways
-
Okay no need to be sour at me Bc you don’t want to work for extra free stuff. Or you feel like you can’t do some of the challenges and think it’s bs. Do you also cry for not getting all character endings for mortal kombat Bc you can only beat the boss with a few characters due to your lack of versatility?Nooo you pick up cyrax and you learn their moves until you can beat the boss. Sit down.

Literally NO ONE. Not one person has a problem with the content. It's absurdity of challenges like "get 2 flashlight saves in a single trial" or "hook all 4 survivors in the basement in a single trial" and how incredibly slowly it takes to gain passive fragments.
No one is upset at the price, that is a strawman.
No one is upset at more content, that is a strawman.
The bang for your buck is there.
Yeah I’m not upset about any of that, Bc again it’s free. You can pick and choose what you want to do. You can buy it or not and just do the free option. I don’t see a downside to earning free stuff through play time. Two flashlight saves aren’t hard with the right build. 4 basement hooks aren’t hard with an insidious killer. It might take a few matches but that’s why it’s a MASTER CHALLENGE
-
The 5th

No, Bc I like free stuff and more content.

How fast do the gens get done with this build out of curiosity

I'm going to start my post off with saying even though im a killer main i still see things from survivors side as well now with that being said im going to be non biased as much as possible.
Firstly Mettle of Man was a game breaking perk no matter how you look at it in every situation it was borderline unfair to simply say it was not that big of a deal means you possibly didnt play before its change as it was totally broken now in regards to the nerf i will agree they over nerfed it without taking into account how useless it is now but blame behavior because if THEY HAD LISTENED to people who even told them it could not go live like that something could have been done ahead of time to tone it down but it felt like behavior didnt really know how to nerf it so they over nerfed.
DS was not really nerfed in a sense it was actually made better because you can use it to prevent a tunnel and for those who like to argue slugging jump in a locker or force a grab you can jump in and out of a locker quick and it forces a grab EZ DS stun is all im gonna say.
The reason you see more killers vocal is very simple most survivor players don't come on the forums out of fear most killers will mock them which in a way some people on here kinda do mock and not really try to be constructive but thats just how gaming communities work.
Queue times have actually been broken for awhile and it has a lot to do with this recent change to swf's as most survivors are just deranking to stay at low ranks of course its going to effect high rank queues granted i understand why people derank being red ranks is boring.
With all do respect the reason you win more in a swfs is simple its the fact you have comms and can pass off information a lot better then solo's can however you have to learn to change the way you play solo as Solo vs SWFs is honestly two different playstyles atleast in my opinion it is.
In regards to camping the developers have tried to find a solution with the latest being you lose emblem points for camping which is what we are working with now if someone is being camped the best solution is to power through generators as quickly as possible or you can try for a risky Borrowed time save and hope for the best.
I would honestly say camping in any sense is bad in all honesty the reason for it is you lose out on pressure and usually a good group of survivors know how to punish it.
With all due respect the devs have done pretty much all they can to prevent camping you have BT,DS,Losing Points i dont think they could really do anything else other then reward better gameplay also with respect if you are getting camped a lot sounds like you are most likely new or lower rank which camping tends to be a big thing the more you rank up the less you see it although its very common towards end game but thats because what else is a killer to do in that situation.
In conclusion Dead by Daylight is not perfect nor is the core of the game but there are some things that are out of your hands and sadly this is the case there are some people who do it just to make people like yourself react and post about it while they sit back and laugh because they got to you basically what im saying is dont take this game so serious camping is not fun but its also valid in some situations.
Very well put and I’m a survivor main
-
The only thing I have to complain about with freddy is lunge. It’s ridiculous. I haven’t met a single person that thought his lunge is fine.
-
unpopular opinion I guess ,but the new DS is fine. 60 seconds is plenty of time for you to recover and if a teammate doesn’t get you up well I guess start running unbreakable if it’s happening that often?

Personally only time I see good killers camp is when its personal or gates are already open and there is nowhere else to be.
You just said reiterated, what I said. Yeah though.
-
It’s a mixed bag , bad killers camp, good killers camp, some do it to be scummy, some do it as a tactic.
I feel like this is obvious information.
-
Idk I try to do gens when people are still alive as fast as I can Bc the more the teammates get killed off the less likely the gens are to get done. I’ll take a break around 2-1 gens left to do bones for obvious reasons. If other players are as optimal as I am, I can’t help that. It’s not in my best interest as a survivor to piss time away. If 3 gens pop quickly and everyone is still up the killer usually camps or tunnels after that so I mean. You don’t have a lot of options other than offering yourself up for the killers sake with them being extra close to the hook at that point. I’m going to a gen, if you don’t come looking for me that’s your fault. The best killers are the ones that apply gen pressure , and even if they haven’t killed everyone they dragged the out long enough to get plenty of points, and/ or have people killed off. Just Bc you didn’t get a 4K doesn’t mean you didn’t do well as killer.
-
I’m just getting tired of getting pulled out of the game back to home screen. It’s annoying af. But yeah the teleporting sucks too. I’m sure they’ll work it out.

I'm guessing being semi decent at the game pisses off killers
Being semi decent at the game on either side pisses most people off it seems in general. If a killer camps me or any of my teammates I just take it as a their trying to take back some power Bc they feel like they’re losing, or they’re just bad at chasing, or wasted too much time chasing. Most of the time I understand why they do it by the way the game is going.
-
in Summary? It’s a lazy killer tactic that works effectively against stubborn survivors. Or maybe you really pissed them off.
-
I think she’s far from bad. Her power is super strong, I think most people just prefer other killers Bc they have better sight. I’d say her vision is what suffers the most and why more people don’t play her.
-
In the beginner ranks I’d say use borrowed time it will help with all the campy tunneling killers in that rank.
umm if you like immersion distortion is great for covering up your aura. It’s highly underrated imo if you like immersion.
empathy and bringing a sabo toolbox and doing hooks will get you a ######### ton points and save your pals.
-
If you’re a beginner and new to the game I recommend it until you get your entity legs.
-
If I’m running no exhaustion it’s going to be
alert
distortion
iron will
calm spirit

No you don't. Sprint Burst is not only a chase tool, you may walk a little in the beginning, but you need to be running and doing things if someone is being chased.
I said it’s good, I didn’t say I like to use it, Bc it’s easily exhausted and there’s no control like I said it’s a ditch at the last second perk. It’s a beginners perk, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good.I do plenty worry about your own playstyle.
-
Yeah it’s a good one especially if you like to ditch at the last minute. I prefer lithe or balanced landing, but sb is still good.

From your screenshot I'd say the reason they dc is not the killer, but the build. It's a very stressful one for the survivors, and I saw a lot of people dc or suicide once they figure out you're using that perk combo.

Yesterday I faced a rank 2 P3 Wraith who managed to hook everyone twice without camping or tunneling, and with no perk. He was quite scary and if he had perks I have no doubt we would have all died quickly.
Right if more people actually played him and took the time to get good with him, I have no doubt the entire survivor community would be calling for nerfs. He’s underrated af. Actual wraith mains make survivors cry inside.
-
Idk I notice I keep getting kicked back to main menu a lot, with connection errors. Then I’ve completely been pulled out of games which isn’t normal for me. I have awesome internet so it’s depressing.
-
I don’t know why people think wraith is bad, he’s actually a pretty solid killer. He can hold his own in red rank if you actually put time into him.
-
Filthy survivor main here! The insta heal “nerf” is fine. Y’all are just being overly dramatic
-
It’s Bc everyone(survivor) is using spine chill now to counter him. Before that he was doing fairly decent. He’s not bad, but at red ranks with a team full of skilled players he’s certainly not going to fair well against a team full of spine chill and gen rushing pallet loopers.
-
Honestly if lobbies alone freak you out, you probably shouldn’t be playing killer. Swap to survivor. Dodging is dumb. I hope you get dc’d on everytime you bring something cool, Bc that’s basically what you’re doing. If you see ash’s why aren’t you swapping to an insta killer, or equipping insta perks/add ons? You’d rather come to the forum and admit you’re part of a problem than use your brain to combat the “problem”.

@Maximus7 just checked you do get the short speed burst. It’s like a bt hit

I remember a thread where someone tested it and they said you tank the hit. Speed burst and all.
When my friends and I tested it it was just sponged with no burst they ran as usual. It acted like a whiff. If they are still on there I’ll test it again tomorrow

@RSB If Mettle of Man has you worried I feel bad for you man. Could it be annoying? Probably, but it's just 1 use that they can't control when it goes off and doesn't it just negate a hit? Big whoop, you hit them again. Sure it wastes a little time, but compared to the old DS this perks is a lot weaker unless there's some stun mechanic I am forgetting about.
@peasant there’s no stun mechanic with mom. They don’t even get a speed boost from the sponged hit. It’s like “whiffing” on them basically. Then they get the bt aura so you know their perk(mom) just activated and was used.

For how long? If it's permanent, then that's a bit understandable, but still avoided by just not healing.
Once they heal it’s permanent for the rest of the match. If they don’t heal they stay injured the rest of the match. Either way that’s a pretty significant draw back if you ask me. I just don’t like what it can do to some killer obsession perks since the obsessions can change. It does need some tweaking in those regards either with the perk itself or those killer perks Bc of the new obsession game mechanics. Which I stated before in another thread should be addressed and released at the same time of the perk. Like save the best for last as an example

Wasn't their aura shown UNTIL they fully healed? Or was I reading the perk wrong?
It’s shown after they heal. So you know the bt aura that’s what happens so you know they sponged the hit. Then once they heal they get the perma aura.

To the people saying "yOuR aUrA iS sHoWn", who TF cares. Why do you think people run Object and teabag? Being revealed, if you're good, doesn't mean #########.
The one thing that MIGHT make MoM balanced is that, according to someone who experimented with the leaked PS4 perks, it only applies to M1 hits, so Billy, LF, Huntress, and sometimes Plague can bypass it. As for every other killer? Get #########.
Yeah I tested it out as killer against friends it’s not op. I’m on ps4. If you think knowing where a survivor is at all times isn’t a good trade off, or then being injured the rest of the match to avoid aura also isn’t a good trade off you’re wild. That’s a heap of information, and a pretty significant advantage against them if they don’t heal. Like I said not op

it’s a decent perk at best. It’s going to mess more players up, than be powerful. Only super strong loopers are going to get good use out of it then they have to walk around injured or go into perma aura for the rest of the match. Personally not a fan.

No what I mean is a Perk that has 0 counters, A Prerequisite that occurs naturally during the game and an incredible pay off.
Devour Hope, NOED and Haunted grounds are all Totem perks and are only strong because of how easily countered they can be.
Rancor gives your location away to the survivor and let's them know you have rancor from the first generator popping, Evidently It's easily avoidable by simply leaving.
Michael, Hillbilly and Cannibal's insta downs are all parts of their powers and have drawbacks. Hillbilly not so much as the others I'll give you that.
The only thing I can agree with is add ons, Iri Heads are something I wish would be taken from the game. But even then those are a one time use unlike this perk where you can use it every trial.
Almost every trial I’m in the killer has some sort of instadown ability, addons ,perk, mori(which is infinitely worse than any insta down ability)
The drawback to mom is your aura is shown, and you become the obsession(sure sure you can work around that but it is still risky to not heal). Which means if the killer has rancor you can be moried(assuming you live that long). Not to mention it’s a one time use. You have a problem with a one time sponge that gives an aura away?dead hard, lithe , sb have been creating distance so a killer can’t get that hit and are exhaustion perks. But you have a problem with a one time sponge that doesn’t even give distance?this perk isn’t that op. It’s nothing like ds was. It doesn’t waste the killers time like ds did with juggling, then if they hit it taking the stun, then having to regain distance. It’s nothing like ds was. It’s really not op at all.
-
I grab some marshmellows.

@Bongbingbing said:
I have to wonder what the reaction would be like if it was the other way around and the Killer got an Insta Down after 3 basic attacks... Who's bright idea was it to create this perk? 🤔
Oh do you mean like the powers and addons that give killers instadowns the entire game? Also I believe devour hope gives you an insta down ability after 5 stacks? Or noed that’s free instadowns unless they get the totems? Or haunted ground thats 60 seconds of insta ability, or rancor where you can mori the last obsession at the end even if you haven’t seen, or hooked the person the entire game.
-
Double evil within faster power with insidious. Watched a Michael down 3 in a basement with this.

It’s decent

I honestly wish they couldn’t see survivors. Double blind plz.
