Oh, I agree with you. I was more pointing out that some survivors already disconnect for anything.

Lmao or suicide on hooks when you outthink them 😂

No killer main believes facecamping with bubba requires skill if they do, they really need some help.

But to answer your question further on, some people seem to get upset at a survivor for juking which is what I don't get, I prefer a survivor outplaying me rather than holding W.

Thank you lol. Just the thought of an endless marathon bores me to death. Entity take me now 😂

Some survivors DO DC when you get a Huntress snipe on them or a great Billy curve...

Which is silly lol. I've played Huntress and tbh it's terribly incredible hard to get that throw just right! Especially if it's across the field!

  • @Gaffy said:

360's only work on bad killers, if I get 360'd I just say ok lmao down that person hook them and continue. I'm playing killer for actually learning how to loop, get BP and play the characters I like either because of their power or lore. Camping is useless and just admitting your too bad of a killer to play properly for your rank.

Mmm maybe in general, but I know that I've managed to outplay at least two genuinely great red ranks who've held red for years and it actually came as a surprise.

I do agree that in most cases camping may be lazy but on occasion I agree. There's a time and place for all.

All of those things you just listed are incredibly annoying to go against and potentially turn entire trials by themselves. Call people sensitive all you want, but it seems to me that the anger and frustration is more misdirected than unjustified.

It's good to retain perspective on things, not only by playing both sides but remembering what happens to each side. There's a lot of BS that killers have to deal with and a lot of the time people blow up because they've simply had enough and need to vent.

Mmmm. No I totally agree. Survivor definitely don't make it easy and if they're out for annoying then that killer is gonna be pressed in the next round. I've always had the logic that fair is fair. A slip op is a slip and if you've out played me then I get a one way field trip to Hookville! Al la Backpack Express.

Everyone get frustrated with something that happens. It's the (maybe not so) beauty of a pvp online game.

Bubba is taylor-made to patrol hooked survivors. They increased the strength of his chainsaw to combat this, but it just means he can patrol a bit further away.

Unless Bubba is actively looking for new prey, the hooked individual has minimal chance of escape if Bubba plays to his strengths. His weakness comes if survivors understand this tactic and the other is willing to spend time on the hook to distract him until he becomes paranoid of the flailing gens around him.

It does suck big time, but Bubba is one of the very few killers where patrolling a hooked survivor is the best way to utilise him.

Oh, 100% there. I think we had two gens be done in the time it took me to die? Lol it's a choice. Tbh he still played really well and probably would have got 4) without the popcorn, but it's hard to tell. I died in the first 2 minutes and the game is skewed if you don't have 4 bodies working on the objective.

I play both sides frequently. But, things are in the game for a reason. As a killer I can’t really get mad when somebody breaks a hook, or pallet stuns or gets a flashlight save because those mechanics are in the game for a reason. They’re not exploits, they’re genuine tactics. So if I can’t handle them happening to me, I should maybe think about playing something else.

I’ve played against plenty of SWF who’s sole purpose is to try to annoy me, so I can understand people finding that hard to deal with, but some players ‘punish’ people for some of the most ridiculous things.

I got face camped for doing the challenge of fixing a generator near the killer. They walked past me with somebody on their shoulder and my generator was on 95% so obviously I finished it in case they had PGTW. They then camped me when they downed me and messaged to say it was because I was extremely cocky for fixing a generator in their presence when I should have been scared and left the area. I was literally doing a challenge that the game asked me to do lol. So in moments like that, that particular playing is being too sensitive in my eyes. As they’re being offended for the sake of being offended.

In that sense I have to wonder if they (killer) aren't aware of what Survivor challenges look like? But tbh I flat out don't do some because I know it'll get me downed and outted before I get any true play.

  • @MadLordJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2019907#Comment_2019907

As I said, misplaced anger. The game itself is flawed, forcing killers to never slip up or else face game-ending consequences. It's little wonder that many of the few killers that do exist at high ranks blow up at the slightest provocation, the game wasn't balanced around aggressive survivors and killers have been conditioned to expect toxicity from us thanks to bully squads.

I see it all the time. Tbh if a Survivor is a jerk to killer and and they go out of the way to provoke I "attempt" 1 save. If killer camps with popcorn it's all theirs. Or I judge now much we really needed another body on the field to see if it's worth the hit and possible down. May be terrible on my part but I don't condone jerk playing. I have no issue taking my good ol' time if you predop pallets and butt dance.. if you corner vibe and not help out the team.

Dodging leatherface chainsaw is rarely skill, it's usually blind luck or he just makes a mistake. It's a very large sweep and it isn't hard to just...turn.

This is the point where I wish I had video capabilities. He was pretty much in death zone.

  • @Midievalfantasy said:

My guess? Just like survivors, they want to achieve their objective. If you show skill, why run the risk of letting you off the hook and possibly escape? That's just my opinion though, I don't know for sure, but I feel your pain. Whenever I pallet stun or do a good loop (ultra rare for me) I tend to get camped and repeatedly hit while on the hook. I literally just had a game where I pallet stunned a Bubba and he camped / tunnelled me and then let everyone else live. It happens. Breathe and move on. I don't let it get to me. It's just a game and I'm sure they have their reasons.

I wasn't even mad tbh lol normally I cut my 360 jukes too close and get sliced and have never up to last night been able to successfully preform one on Bubba. That chainsaw is hella death 😂 the fact that I even managed to go past his swing I knew that I was both gonna go down and gonna go with a vengeance. But I was only thinking second phase, not full sacrificing.

Let's not play up stereotypes please. I main Bubba, and I definitely do not camp unless the survivors ask for it.

In regards to OP, you probably annoyed him with that 360, some Killer players are very fragile and get annoyed if you avoid or outplay them.

I'm not attempting to stereotype ( I will adjust the post to state so). I was actually in a pretty decent mood when I wrote it and wasn't even upset. It just happened to that I started next to when the event occurred.

As far as the outplay, I think that the reset is what failed us lol. They day before I had been facing reds and had to really think. Now, I'm not saying that this one didn't make me think, in face he did really well! All I'm saying is that when you spawn next to killer it's hard to judge, especially in a dead zone 10 seconds in. I did what I saw for an escape attempt (and, no, to date it hasn't worked yet but hey, works in progress and all that) :)

I didn't realise spinning in a circle was rude

When in a dead zone would you prefer the Survivor to stand still and await you with a cuppa coffee? Nah lol if I got a trick up my sleeve I'm gonna try and use it until I get to the next zone.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Do you have any idea how easy it is to pull off any form of juke right now? The survivors literally teleport around the killers screen. Turning left is a near-instant 90° jolt. It's insane. The current patch broke movement again and no-one really talks about it. Tracking through a lunge is sheer luck, which is why you don't see good killers lunging, but that's kind of beside the point: movement is broken, you don't even have to 360 to juke.

Also, don't try and pretend one arsehat is every killer in existence.

Eh. The group I play with (albeit in different system) has a pretty hard time juking. And I almost alwaya 360. But it does get me camped or tunneled pretty quick in nearly every game with every rank I've tried, so....

Maybe try it out for yourself if you doubt my results.

Exactly, survivors bring a billion perks to give them second chances and body block so killers can't play the game in a normal fashion. So they all stand in front of the hook Make it impossible to hook a survivor who messed up, the game mechanics are plain and simple, you get downed after a screw-up? you get hooked or mori'd

and then survivors start complaining in endgame chat about us 'slugging' and 'tunneling' whilst in the current meta slugging is the only method to dodge DS, which fyi every [synonym for coitus] survivor brings.

So yeah being toxic and getting reports should result in a penalty.

TBH it sounds a bit like you faced a swf team who blocked a hook and survived.

What do you want survivors to do? AFK and give you an easy 4K? It's a defense, especially if it's a well- oiled machine or we're trying to stop a tunnel. It's not just about perks. It's a mind game. Out think them.

I'm all for making the game less "toxic", don't peg me wrong here... Hook blocking IS one thing. Corner blocking or hallway camping is another. I think you should reevaluate what it is you are labeling and clarify. I have had plenty of killers block against gens and walls and the likes, just as I've seen good teams block killers in places. Just remember: the killer has the knife, all survivors have is blood.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1986867#Comment_1986867

yes those builds are likely to belong to streamers but it still second-chance perks are being weaponized and abused there is no denying that. let's be fair.

I thought I was lol. I said it was rare to see this behavior. *Shrug* anyone can abuse it, yes. It's just that I personally notice it more if it happens to be a streamer.

That, or they take really rewarding risks.

Not everyone uses and abuses, tho, you're right.

  • @The_Nightmare69 said:

I truly with a burning passion hate survivors spamming second chance perks. Like I will hook a survivor against all odds because the whole team body blocks me whilst trying to hook my catch. They don't care I hit them because they're all running: DS/BT/endurance/DH/self-care/sprint burst.

I know not all of them are second chance perks but they help a lot. Yesterday I had a game where I was being forced into loops by a claudette she was tea bagging at every chance she got. If I came a little too close she would just use DH and onto the next loop. I finally got her, hooked her, her team-mates immediately got her of hook, she then used herself as a human shield and endurance kicked in putting her in the deep wound state (orange health bar) then I got her down again, she used DS. And to top it all off she had adrenaline so my decision to slug her in the end game was big mistake too.

I generally hate it when survivors spam these perks and then proceed to use themselves as human shields or just weaponize the perks. It is supposed to be an anti-tunnel perk but it has just become a weapon to annoy the killer at this point.

This sounds like a rare case tbh. As a Survivor main, I almost NEVER see this... And if I do it's almost always a TTV or "SubToMyYT". And, personally, if I see abuse to these perks or the bait the killer I have absolutely NO issue with leaving you on hook :)

Just like if you drop a pallet on me after seeing that I was behind you, I will let the killer have you. Someone else can unhook you (especially if I've unhooked you safely and I'm coming in to heal you) SMH it's clear they don't want help lol so let's give them what they want :)

I'm in it for a fair game tbh if I made a mistake let's take a field trip to a hook, if I can do it with bt I'll do it but you had best bet if you abuse it that's a no- go for me.

I don't say GG anymore because I have the chat disabled. It is only salt and cross-play players that can't chat anyways.

I'm some ways this is a good thing- chats tend to be awful. But, it bites because if someone had a great run and it was a fun match I (as a switch player) can only give props and the rest of the world can't see that. There is not a way for that person to see that I've payed them a compliment.

There's a lot of times where I'd like to tell a killer "gg well done" or another surv "thanks for the save!" But I can't in any form.

I know with the recent bugs and new content coming up the devs have full hands, but maybe they can at least make it so we can see who has given up props??

**Disclaimer I personally know it's a game and if it's a bad run then it's my fault or I got matched with a killer who's flexing and the odds of being rematched are low- I tend not to get too mad so my personal likely hood of sour messages are v low, this doesn't go for all but *shrug*

Well, that's not so black and white as you describe it. Can you describe what you mean more specifically? There are many elements in the game that manipulate killer movement speed. You can not always be sure if it is a perk, someone cheating using speed hack, or something else.

Maybe it's a perk? Lol I'm not totally sure. I've just had a few killers (mainly Huntress) that I will see coming so I will take off before she's anywhere close. And before I've gone what seems like 10 feet away from the gen/ the location I was at she's already overtaken me. I've also noticed that perks (not all the time but occasionally) like sprint burst and lithe don't seem to be as effective? Again same thing- where you would normally here "fine" taking off and going seem to not be... Soon enough? Or "safe" distance to go through windows don't seem to be enough any more.

Again this isn't every match or against every killer. Just occasionally so it could be that I'm matched against a very skilled killer *shrug* but when they can go what feels like half the map in the blink of an eye?

  • @snowflake102 said:

    (1) why do they hate going against some killers instead of dealing with it?

    (2) Also why do some survivors love easy matches just to say at the end of the match you suck? The game was never meant to be easy for em? So why do they keep saying nerf nerf and nerf that?

It's because they haven't moved beyond a high school mentality.

Personally, I don't mind a game when I get a few good loops in. If I can get a stun and a good run in then, yeah, hook me we've both earned a rest lol. There's no need to talk down on someone who may have never seen a tactic before. That's why it's called "learning".

There are some killers that I don't care to face because with the hit boxes they're a nightmare to face and with the 360 juke being bugged ... But everyone also has a favorite that they love to go against so I think it's more about player experiment maybe?

  • @Tank said:

Helpful perks to aim for, general gameplay tips or fairly "safe bets" on where to place her traps? I decided to use her for a daily instead of scrapping them like usual and it was really fun, but I have no experience with trap Killers and so obviously I got run around by Survivors.

Also out of curiosity, is it considered "camping" to place her traps right next to the hooked Survivor? My brain says "don't be a jerk" when I do, but logic tells me that it's just plain stupid not to do that and get the free hit.

No, placing traps next to the survivor is expected. That's now her power works. Camping is when the killer physically stays in the immediate area and doesn't move (not to be confused with parole where you're moving about and checking to see if anyone is coming for the unhook)

As a survivor, can I recommend some things that I've seen that we're really smart?

Hooks. Yes, this is valid and smart. Good survivors will have counters.

Your hex ( if you're running one)

There are 7 gens. Hex 2 of them if you can. The happened on a few games. Personally I think it's smart. It, in my book, is considered patrolling. There's a chance they'll never be touched but they might be especially of you're pressuring gens.

Common loops that your survivors seem to be using. Place them outside windows and in the doorways.

Also, basements? I think only the landing in the middle are necessary, especially of you've trapped the hooks.

Survivors: here's some love for you, too: if you clickity- clack the trap, you disable it! Also sneaking when one isn't available is amazing.. both to and from where it's placed. No, I'm not taking my good old time getting you, chances are I watched her place it and I know where it is, so you, too, should sneak out.

  • @Sunbreaker7 said:

I thought something was strange when I have been getting downed by killers far more often than usual in situations where I usually get away with window leap or six-sag dodge...

The hit boxes are still pretty big. And even tho the devs deny it, it seem to me that the killers are... Faster?? They catch up to you much quicker, even if you've started running before they're anywhere near you.

  • @Slasherwave said:

I do my best to never BM when playing Killer or Survivor. WIth this update, I've had no desire to play Killer solely for the fact that I don't want to wonder which hits I actually deserved and which I didn't. Otherwise, I play Killer and Survivor equally. To be fair, I usually have TTV in my name because I'm a streamer. But something I've noticed since the last patch is that Killers have been much ruder and are more willing to BM than usual. I don't use the term "tunnel" lightly. But I've been quite legitimately been tunneled more often than usual since the Big Patch. I don't like using DS beause it's not a fun perk for me to use imo. But at this point, until it's nerf, I feel I'm going to have to use it. My main question is, is it just me who feels like Killers have been taking advantage of the desync issues and have been much ruder than usual because of it? Or have I just been getting unlucky?

It's been about 50/50. Weekends and late nights seem much worse. I went Wednesday and Thursday with a fair number of escapes and decent killers who patrolled only and didn't camp, but all last night (Friday) I was tunneled or nose- to - nose face camped for what seemed like nothing ( and when I say this I'm meaning troll/ rude factor- no t-bags and no clickity- clacks on flash lights). For seemingly fair chases and gen completion the killers would take it out on you. *shrug* I think part of it may be that you have TTV in your name as even as survivor I see plenty who go out of their way to annoy the killers- chasing and tbagging and flashlighting... You may have just been on the receiving end of someone who had a "do it for the subs" TTV taking in out on you.

Edit: I'm not meaning to imply that you act like this, only that the killer assumes you will based on your name*

I don’t like toxic survivors as Killer so I’m not going to put up with it if my teammates do the same. If I catch them teabagging and just being a douche to the Killer for no reason. Unless the Killer started to toxicity. I won’t heal or save your butt off hook. I’m tired of the toxicity so I’m going to hold my teammates accountable as well. I was playing Trapper and I was going to let everyone else leave just let me have the tbagging toxic survivor. Who of course was a twitch streamer. But no, they did their best to save him, bodyblocked me, etc and he finally got away.

As a survivor if you drop pallets early and tbag, hide in lockers and don't contribute I won't come for you UNLESS I need that extra body. So, killers, if someone is being pulled last minute it's most likely that survivors, too, are done with the bs they pull.

If the team is being run hard and you are corner camping or lover surfing and I haven't seen you touch a gen, you clickity- clack flashlights at the killer or t-bag pallets then I'm prioritizing the hard working survs and gens over you. Sorry not sorry lol the hardworking team is the living team.

I really don't care about you being hard of hearing in the context of where you belong on the ranking system. All I've said is in terms of RANKING, if it is your best form of defense, you probably do belong in the 14-16 range. That's it. Best form of defense for that person, worst form for that person, doesn't matter. It is just not optimal for it to be a major form of defense.

Also, being hard of hearing doesn't equate to 360 being your major defense. It's probably worse for you cuz you don't have the added time to set it up optimally so you're more likely to run somewhere useless even if in the best case you dodge a hit. Worst case you get hit and you waste most of your sprint burst. U should try to stop using it as a major form of defense and use it as your last line where you absolutely have nothing left.

Also, I fell from rank 1 to 3. Well from 1 to 6 and climbed back up to 3. If I really wanted to sweat I probably could get back to rank 1 but that doesn't sound that fun to me.

    Have a good day man.

I'm a rank 3 survivor main even with the bs happening right now. I haven't touched killer in probably 4 months now and that was just once just to see what Billy was like. Without that I haven't touched killer in a year and then some. A 360 is the last hail Mary attempt at survival not a major form of defense. If you're using it as a major form of defense you're probably doing something very wrong.

I don't see it like that.

    Maybe you should try it.

And, again, you know nothing about me save for a single comment.

So, I'll let you in on a secret- I'M HARD OF HEARING. 360, for me, IS my best defense. I can't hear killers' terror radi, only the chase music and before your soap box about spine chill, no. I CHOOSE not to run it

Before you act all high as mighty why not remember that we're other people too, and that what works for you won't for me and it's not because I'm lesser but because I'm working with different constraints, dude.

So your major form of defense playing this game was 360s and your struggling to rank up from 15 (emblem bug or not). I think you probably do belong in the 14-16 range.

You have no idea how I play and my play style. 360 is a great defense against PH and Nurse and it also was great for mind games in chases. I don't tell you bs about you rank so don't tell me bs about mine. I play when I have a chance and I play for fun. I earned every pip and rank, thank you. Maybe YOU play for hours on end or whatever excuse you wanna use, but the thing is? It's a game. My opinion if just a valid as yours. I will not take your snide comments as you have no bases besides a simple statement.

In that same map I encountered bad lag as a killer once. Going up the steps then glitching to the bottom of the steps. Rinse and repeat. It sucks cause I was in a chase atm. Of course I lost them.

That's the most frustrating tbh. The game had it's issues before, but this almost makes you wish they hadn't bothered to change it...

  • This newest update has the whole game bugged and it's now just awful. Same map, I tried to vault at the far side of the building, the one where the lockers are right by the window. I was at the window and went to vault, but the next thing I knew I was teleported to the locker and I was getting into it. It was out of my control, the killer was coming so there was nothing I could do. They saw me jump into it and as they were behind me, it basically gave them a free kill. To my eyes I was at the window, but to everyone else, who knows?

  • It's just, broken. With the 360 being taken away from us (at least on Switch) it's taken a major form of defense away... There's no way that this is right. Do you have any idea how hard it is to rank up? And how the slightest error will derank you? It's laughable. Not only is Unbroken bugged, but if you get caught in a weak loop and get downed you might as well kiss your pip goodbye- especially with these ungodly hit boxes that allowed the killer to tag you about the corner. I get that it was good to "weed out the good the from the bad" but at what point do you call it quits? When you have a level 8 that depiped to a 15 (with the monthly reset) I think it's a major issue. This entire time I've only manage to regain 6 pips, even with runs where Iridescent quality emblems are "earned".

*SMH* there's no get good about it. The over did it, in my opinion.

You don't need to play Bill nor david to get their perks all u need is bp and it had to come in bloodweb either way because there's no chance u got other locked characters perks before perks of free character unless u bought special edition or sum I think everyone has unbreakable by now unless they're rank 15-20 and they just started or something

On switch you have the option to get the game with dlc included. Also, again, it's all about blood web. Just because you have it doesn't guarantee it's going to come up. My Felix is level 50 prestige 1 and Detective's Hunch still hasn't come up and at 49 spine chill just came up so I only have it as tier 1.

They are nice perks and can get you out of tough situations. I wish there was a better way to guarantee the perks you wanted came across on your web instead of the random incomes (if there IS a way, I would love to know).

Bill is free character and so is David u can use any of the perks that gets u up secondly I've been once in yellow green and purple and now I'm red rank survivor and what I learned is if my teamates get themselves all on the ground over their mistake I won't bother helping them at all I'll just keep doing my objective till killer find me idc if killer wanted to slug and do it on scummy way I will sure call it out but getting slugged like that in minute is literally not possible unless survs are biggest potatoes ever existing so yeah I agree and disagree and as surv main in red ranks just because I'm surv main i won't blame killer for everything there's certain situations where it's killers fault and where it's surv fault example teammate unhook me in killers eyes and killer tunells me that's completely surv fault not killers same goes for slugging

I pretty much said that lol and I do agree. If you make a mistake then maybe I'll come. Maybe I won't. It depends on if you locker surfed and let me do most of the work or if you actually pulled your weight :)

I think the higher you are the, for lack of better terms, the more fair they are about it. I give everyone a chance. If you're stupid twice it's on you lol.

But as far as perks it still comes down to bloodweb. It's not always a guarantee and I find Bill to be slow and cumbersome. It's personal taste to play him it no.

  • @trying1121 said:

I mean why they were all in one place and stayed there after killer comes? Why they don't work as a team and do multiple gens instead one? Why they don't run away once the teammate is down? Why they don't use perks to help them get up? It's totally their fault unless the killer had this mindset and build from beggining and planned to do exact thing

You realize that the perks aren't always available? And EVEN IF you have them from Bill or the shrine, it doesn't guarantee that they're in your blood web?

While all the tactics you've mentioned (and that have been noted here I will add) are more than valid and more than true, the for mentioned still stands. Perks don't always save you.

I'm not against slugging, I will add. In the right situation I think it is a VERY valid tool. What my issue is is when they hunt you down and bleed you out (I think someone mentioned this?) Or the use a slugged surv as "bait"- I've seen plenty of games where it's the case. A smart move, yes, but it can lead to multiple bodies that will turn sour if not handled with a delicate touch.

I think the issue is more that multiple games in a session may be resulted in you being slugged in some way? At least, for me, that is the issue. Now and again slugging, tunneling and camping are solid tactics and CAN be used as solid game play. BUT when faced with this 9/10 games, it gets old. Frustrating. And, quite frankly, it ruins the whole experience ESPECIALLY when ( from what I see, more often than not) I will get slugged because another survivor has brought the killer to me. If the ment to or no, I don't know nor do I care, ######### happens, it's a game, but it does get tiring.

If you're for it, I say why not play in the yellow and green ranks as a survivor for a while and see what those who are talking about are really having the issue with. Why not see what we're taking about and the abuse of the game mechanics from our POV over multiple games? And if you're fine with these then you do you. It's not about getting good, do don't "git gud" me, I have solid gameplay and tactics that worked fine before 4.5.0 came in and screwed sevs ✌🏻

I think I understand what you meant, but be mindful that Deathslinger hitbox is super precise and he can easily abuse the huge survivor hitbox. Just look at some of these shots and you'll probably think it's a hacker: https://youtu.be/-h7D_9FwSGk.

Anyway, it would be way better to analise if you had video footage.

Right lol with a huge hit box I'll give it to him. I'd be willing to believe it was a fantastic player, based off the fact that he chained me from half way across the field! I've never been hit from that distance before and it was quite shocking.

Speed no no, the guy was good, he played quite fair, besides the insane reel speed and chase speed, but, since the last update all the chase speeds on killer seem to be faster so I'm not surprised no that part.

Like I said, if it was a hack, then it'll loop back eventually. And, as at the time (as I do now) I thought it was a good match with a great Deathslinger, I'm not mad lol it was easily the most fun I've EVER had while facing him 😁

  • @Zarr0ch said:

    Most likely a hacker.

Mm-hm. It makes me wish I had at least the game tag. Unfortunately, it's super hard to report anything- you need video evidence (which is, might I add, 100% reasonable) to report. But, unless you're on PC or have someone else close at hand to help you it's not always the easiest to get the evidence you need. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it isn't easy. In an ideal world I would have loved to have been recording but I play for fun and don't stream or have a set up that allows me to capture videos unless I go out early and can spectate. I hope he (the Deathslinger) had fun at least. I'm sure someone will catch onto his BS eventually and he'll get what he's got coming to him, if he was a hacker. If he wasn't then good job dude, you were wicked good!

This part isn't exactly hacking though. The maximum amount of time he has to spend reeling is 6 seconds, and he can pull you out of objects by reeling backwards.

Yes, lol, I know that part. I was the way that it happened that was just so strange. It happened so fast you couldn't react and objects didn't hinder it like usual (I'm not sure if I made myself clear in my original or after posts... Looking back I guess it's a tad bit hard to fully understand my meanings)

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Probably a hacker then, Deathslinger can't move faster than 110% without bloodlust or perks.

Right. To my knowledge, you could break chains by playing objects in-between you and him, and the pull was moderately slow. THIS guy pulled you in about 5 seconds, no exaggerating, and no matter what you placed in-between, rocks, trees ext it acted like nothing was there.. who know lol I'm just glad I didn't face him twice.

I play Killer mainly but I've survived a lot of games as survivor too (solo queue), maybe evaluate your plays rather than blame the game.

I've played more solo after the post and I seem to do better ( no change in strategies) for some reason *shrug* who knows.

So first came the mid-chapter patch and I was hopeful because they actually delayed it by a week to work on the myriad of issues that were in the PTB (I thought). But then it dropped and...damn. I thought the Twins patch was bad, but this is even worse. The atrocious UI and janky survivor movement that make the game look cheap/poorly designed and cause a lot of people motion sickness (me included), the horrible hitboxes/optimization that are absolutely tanking the core gameplay, the 7 maps that has issues so bad they had to disable them, and the tons of bugs are unacceptable for a game that's been out for over 4 years. Why would they release another patch in this state after they had to apologize for the state they released the Twins patch in? Did they not learn their lesson? I know they have since pledged to fix/rework these issues, but many of them were heavily criticized in the PTB and they still ignored the feedback and released them into the live build anyway. What was the point of the PTB then? Why do they only listen to the community when they're in full damage-control mode from newsworthy backlash?

The next day they released the new rift and I was shocked yet again. The free track of this rift is the most bare-bones, empty, uninspired, and asset-recycled one to date. I have absolutely no interest in another overbearing grind through a rift this lazy (especially in the state the game is currently in).

Finally, they released the lunar new year "event" the day after and this is what pushed me over the edge. After the immense backlash from their Halloween "event", I thought they would have learned their lesson but here they are doing the exact same thing. Earning cosmetic rewards through actual gameplay has yet again been replaced by effortless login bonuses/codes clearly designed to boost their player count numbers and an advertisement begging suckers to buy new cosmetics in their store. So the "event" yet again boils down to some extra bloodpoints (not even iridescent shards this time), a cosmetic piece from a code (not earned), the ability to get firecrackers in bloodwebs (different colored items don't count), and some in-game fireworks for already existing objectives. This is pathetic.

Behaviour's greed, laziness, incompetence, arrogance, and stubbornness were on full display for 3 days in a row. The game is now at a point where every subsequent patch is worse than the last and Behavior has no one to blame but themselves. I used to recommend this game to other gamers I know, but now I'm embarrassed that I even mentioned it. I will be taking a break from this game until such time as they get it together and stop releasing half-baked patches/"events" just to make a quick buck. Until they start actually caring about the state of their game and treating their playerbase with respect, I'm out of this toxic relationship.

Very well said. I hope that the Devs/ Tem read this because I truly believe that it is what many believe.

  • Lol must have been in the same match?! Weird! I just faced a Deathslinger with this exact issue...

You get a screengrab? Another poster had the same issue. Someone suggested hacking but not sure

We might have played the same then? It was literally my last game- I JUST played this guy. I didn't get a vid or anything. I play on switch and it don't really offer any ideal opportunities to catch a video or anything.

I mean being exhausted on the ground was a thing before, but right now you basically have to hit the button when the killer is 10m away. I just got denied a free escape because he could hit me from around the corner. Getting the timing right is pure luck right now.

They're all useless. Dead heard. Lithe. Sprint burst. This game is broken. Survivor sided? I think not. I was lucky to come out with 2 games survived before, but now? I haven't survived a single game since the release. And rank? You can forget about anything but backwards movement.

This game is broken. *Smh* they're gonna lose a lot of people over this and tbh not many are probably going to come back.

  • I must admit the hit boxes that fly though pallets, across 6 ft of space and around corners is bs lol

Not to mention the almost complete inability to rank or even pip up without a dope killer just running for the bp

I loved this game... Until the update. More tunneling, camping, and bogus hits than ever. 0/10 would not recommend.

  • @IWasLeft2Die said:

I know part of this is rank reset but the other part is the emblem issue. I went from 10 to 17 in a day. Anyone else?

I went from 8 to 15. Even with great runs.

    Unbroken is, ironically, broken.

Killers are being bigger dicks than usual.

Hit boxes are allowing mediocre killers to make God hit.

Good job, Devs. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You have ruined your own game. You had poor relations with your survivor community, and few who ACTUAL would stick up and speak well of it. You just lost one more. Is it even worth playing anymore? I regret putting so much money into it. Smh

No hate. Not for *most* of the players. Just a newfound hatred for the system. ✌🏻
