Theres something up with the Deathslinger

Has there been a patch or update on the deathslinger? I just got out of a match with one who was super speedy, and was able to shoot through objects (such as rocks and walls) even though he hadn't been able to do that before , he also was able to shoot people halfway across the match and his chain seemed almost unbreakable.

Please tell me there was a reasonable explanation to this

    He seemed unreasonably fast. Though we didn't get a video of his actions so as usual, we couldn't report it properly

    Lol must have been in the same match?! Weird! I just faced a Deathslinger with this exact issue...

    probably hacks but also there is could have something to do with the hit problems, like survivors get hit and still see killer 5 meters behind them so basically deathslinger can shoot you and since the spear connects on his screen it also does on yours and it looks like he shot through a rock if you ran behind one...
