I was a dweet that hid in lockers the first time killers make the gen patrol. I hated being found first. Anytime after first was fine but getting found first tilted me.
I got into the game with trapper though. Trapped pallets and what not. Enjoyed it casually and stopped playing every time I got above rank 10 on either side til I pushed rank 1 survivor side.
I'm just better at generators and finding people now. I run alert to avoid chases and discordance to start them. I either win or I don't.
-
It took me forever to get the adept so from that I figured the playstyle isn't for me. I don't hate him but I'm not excited to sit down and play Oni.
I like the dash but I dunno. I always felt like I missed the club a lot for some reason.
Yeah I could git gud like you can with the doctor but I don't do good with the doctor either and just don't wanna play lol.
I don't play nurse and huntress for similar reasons though. I just wanna play the game.
-
Dwight because I see him as the hero that will help Vigo and the others finally escape.
-
I have everything done so far except drop pallets in a chase and unhook survivors. Not hard just grindy.
Looking forward to level 4 tho! I want the epilogue and lore and then I can just goof off. May even try high rank killer with the rank chages.
-
Well I don't feel so bad about my betrayal. Looks like everyone's doing it.
-
I played Myers and went in with deerstalker.
Killed 2 normally then for some reason the other two decided to trust me so I let them finish gens. Popped tier 3 and downed them, opened exits and finished.
Gg ez
-
Entity displeased because it was hungy so now its angy.
-
Its usually end game chat that riles me up.
I usually take a few days off after that. I'm too soft.
-
Give Doctor Legions power in the rework and apply madness on hit.
Give Legion locker squad switches and something gimmicky for m2
-
My queues before rank reset were 3 to 5 minutes for survivors and instant for killer.
Haven't played for the last two days because i want the tryhards to go away but I cant imagine its that different.
-
I made the mistake of going for adept oni when the chapter came out. Many eager yuis trying breakout.
That was pain.
-
Perhaps we bad players that will finally balance the game. Killers will be less stressed. More survivors that want to relax will be in red ranks.
It is us who camp in a locker and wait for the killer to close the hatch and open the door with wake up and zoom out.
It is us who run Windows of opportunity because we wouldn't know where every pallet was anyway.
It is us who run ds but play stealthily to the point it only sees use on hard tunnel. We are the balance and we come whether we like it or not.
Optimal? More like uh...not optimal. Deja Vu team on indoor map buildings represent!
-
I'd like an estimate of what the queues are for each role with rewards. I don't mind playing for the other team if you give me a cupcake and a pat on the back.
-
I just wish the licensed ones didn't cost money.
-
That's why I don't do red ranks. People take this game waaaaay too seriously.
(Guess I don't have a choice now though. Feels bad man.)
-
If you want to be 300iq about it take a no mither squad and go into a corner and go afk so when the oni looks in your direction 100 blood orbs and 12 birds and four teabagging no mither survivors will make his game lag out and crash.
Edit: 4 pizza Dwights doing that while jumping in and out of lockers. For glory!!!!
-
They just need to change the flashlight in general. The entity hates light and killers don't like losing hooks so like...
Make it like hag traps. If you point it at a window or something that has the possibility of being open the entity will retreat and it'll become usable.
You only have 16 seconds max on a flashlight. Might as well give it some utility. Flashlighting a killer just...doesn't.
-
Imagine that with the tapp perk tho. You could stealth crawl to the generator you want to work on.
Heck crawling in general would be awesome!
-
Smart. I know a lot of the harder community covers ye ol red rank but a lot of us just rank til its not fun then wait til next reset.
I'm gonna hold out hope that with more casual players in red it'll become noticeably less tryhard but I fully expect streamers to nitpick my playstyle in slow motion excruciating detail because I don't have every map memorized lol.
-
Noed basekit, no mither non removable. Basement hooks only, final destination.
Game fixed.
-
You have to play seriously as killer. If you're playing as ghostface and teabag at every pallet and when you hook someone you're a jerk.
-
I know Dwight says "oh no" when he's injured. I know I'm not imagining that.
Most of the survivors just groan though. Dwight knows he can't let it end like this. He needs to survive so they can survive.
-
If everyone floats towards red ranks there will be more less dedicated tryhard up there so maybe it'll be more fun as killer.
-
Oh no if everyone runs no mither I can't use my power to one shot people.
Wait.
-
I know they put ruin in the shrine sometimes and you can buy hag with shards but I do think they should make ruin a free perk. It's kinda pay to win for emblems.
-
I hope one day I can be as good an artist as you and as cool as Shrek.
One can only dream.
-
Flashlights are bad and not really worth using and I think everyone agrees. There's no reason to leave your gen.
Toolbox is friend. It sees you through the hard times.
As killer toolbox is your enemy and even if you're killer golden toolboxes hide in the shadows ready to jumpscare you and remind you who the boss is.
-
If you're going for emblems its free real estate.
-
Throwing in my vote for killer. You really don't have time to meme or play around and that's what I enjoy to do most. I don't usually care if I win or not but if you're trying to win it stinks.
Survivor I'm just really good with generators and run borrowed time. I find the chase boring so I avoid it most of the time. (Of course the game doesn't reward that but whatever. Gen popped.)
Can't say I ever really get stressed out playing but killer does get boring especially if you can't find people.
-
I've done every rift challenge except for 3 on page 2 because its unhooks and kinda grindy.
I'm on page 6/9 so like 3 tiers until I get all the Halloween serums. I don't think I'll play enough to complete the entire rift but that's fine. I don't think it was aimed at players like me.
Unless tome 4 gives a lot of rift points. I really just want the lore notes. They're fun.
-
(Preface: I'm a purple/green killer)
I like Legion. If discordance lights up I just run over there and cause havoc. If it's not I just patrol gens and play M1 unless I suspect there's a survivor nearby, then I'll go into frenzy.
Sometimes gens get done, sometimes they don't. I also use frenzy just for travel. Zoom.
-
I always run (wildcard perk, in this case spine chill) borrowed, self care and a detection perk (usually alert but can go empathy bond kindred w/e)
Doing that build I just played as a gen jockey, opened the doors and left. Even if you can take a smack run out away from everything to be unappealing to chase and self care. It'll come. I believe in you!
-
Just make it an actual spider or bug. You're all prepared for the entity and its brutal killers...but none are here. There's just a really big spider that no pallet can squish. Uh oh.
-
The easiest way to do that one is wait til they break a pallet and then beam them in the face.
Decisive Light, the one that comes after it though...if you were a burger, prepare your angus. :DDD
-
It's always a Huntress isn't it?
-
Its only rarely that i ever think I can't make a hook. I don't even really think about it now that I see this thread.
The only time I hate hooks is when you're in crotus Penn and you down someone inside and you have to go outside to hook someone. Like, put a hook next to the generator or something. Same thing with clown map.
-
I'm a red rank survivor and I use windows of opportunity and alert because I have no game sense and am beyond terrible.
I don't even teabag at the exit gate.
-
I like them both but they both got almost straight 4ks for 5 hours straight. Like, would you wanna play survivor against them?
"Hmm yes this killer seems to cause slight difficulty."
"Yes yes, but despite all these 4ks there's a chance of a 5k if we play hard enough."
They can do them but they can play over there. Away from me. Little further. 500 more miles. Little more. Okay good.
-
I'd only want a spider if it ran really really fast. Like, oh god spider fast.
-
I'll second ghostface. When I'm killer i want to play. He's the only one that lets you express your personality through either teabagging or playing around with survivors.
I wish ghostface had an add on that gave him a flashlight just for giggles. Let you blind the survivor and click at them.
-
I just used the steam forums until recently.
It's alright.
-
That's one of the killers you're supposed to be able to stun when invisible with a flashlight too. (Never works btw.)
I had a similar issue doing the decisive light challenge. I wouldn't even bother using them.
Sure if latency lines up and the killer is facing the right way and you have sniper aim and the killer is in just the right place and looking up you've got it!
...or just bring a toolbox.
-
I do the same thing. The only reason I'm so high now is because I'm doing rift challenges.
Memorizing map tiles? Dedicating myself to a SWF or grinding a killers needed perks?
Nah I'm good.
-
I'm the type of player that takes long breaks and normally plays at low ranks but ends up purple/red.
I'm solo queue and want chill games. Nobody wants to play with tryhards aaaaaa
-
Happened to me too. Killer side.
-
Dwight. He's going to be the one to free everyone from the entity and save the world.
He went from delivering pizzas to delivering salvation. I go to sleep every night wishing i was as cool as Dwight Fairfield, but prayers never go answered.
In Dweet we trust.
-
Rank 20 is the true rank 1. A special rank held by few for a scant moment.
Games like "I saw you dropped a pallet. Have a pip!"
"No wait. Now my skill checks are red and that killer is not missing any shots."
"Yeah but you saved that person off the hook. Here's another pip buddy"
"Well I mean she was right there and the killer ran off to the other side of the map...it really wasn't anything please don't pip me. I wanna relax. Absorb the spooky atmosphere."
"Nonsense here's a double pip and now on rank reset you're only going down one emblem color instead of two!"
Oh no!
-
Doctor has some really cool cosmetics. Would be nice to have a reason to play him (over other killers).

Yes this is why I have my trap card ready. Scoops Ahoy Steve with a Rainbow Map. I quickly find and cleanse Ruin, loop the killer for 2 gens by being toxic and using dead hard and spine chill. Finally getting downed and then hooked. Camped for 2 mins while the killer smacks me and nods at me. My teammates accept reality, finish the gens and escape. We all happily accept a depip and unfun game. God bless this community
God bless.
I used to look for ruin but I got bored of it. If I find it cool but I just power through it nowadays. I just make sure I have pallets nearby and I'm comfy.
I do take it as a visceral attack on my person and as an insult to my entire family when I start a gen, get a skill check, miss the hex and then the gen turns back off.
Like I'll fight you, you stupid machine.
-
I went in with deerstalker. Just killed the first two like normal then let the two remaining finish the gens. Popped tier 3 and downed them both, opened the door and hooked them.
Pretty comfy if you're in a game where you're stomping.
