Whatever the reason, it's not good is it. Rage-quitting right at the last minute only happens when the quitter knows they were beat and doesn't want their opponent to get the satisfaction of winning.
But the opponent still knows they won, and all that happens is that you lose all the points (however few they may have been) you've just earned.
Yeah its pretty bad... and achieves nothing, survivors still get all the points they would get anyway. I'm guessing they would have DCd earlier but thought they would get a few free kills from the NOED crutch but when that failed raged out.

I know it's not the point of your post, but why did you DC? Because they beat you? Based on those scores, I guess they must've got all the gens done, then you DC'd. That's not a good look.
While I agree that the matchmaking isn't in great shape, it is still possible to beat players that are higher ranks than you. Perhaps you just had a bad game. Maybe they just had a great game.
Usually when killer DCs after all gens done its because their NOED was cleansed/didnt proc in my experience. Otherwise worst case scenario they will just open gates and wait it out. The presence of small game supports this.

Would they sound like a survivor? Because if my teammate starts laughing loudly, I'd be pretty suspicious
better yet, all survivors sound like clowns
-
Counterforce as a totem finding perk is terrible.. it will literally give you the least efficient path for cleansing totems, leaving a single person pretty much out of the game for several minutes. you'll be crossing the entire map 5 times; you'd probably be better just putting that person on gens and leaving ruin up...
-
Ghostface mains who run blood warden and then teabag you at the exit gate are even better. Its happened to me once, boy did I regret stopping for the extra heal points, but I had to laugh. Truly a "Boots on the other foot now" build. (For the record, I don't teabag at the gates, I just wanted the heal points..)

I like both ideas as they seem appropriate.
Another idea I can suggest is to keep survivors' regular breathing.
In the live version, their regular breathing is completely replaced by grunts while the survivors are injured. Therefore, Iron Will will mute all the sounds from their mouths.
as much as I'd like to agree with this, Ash and Jeff are that damn loud that there uninjured noise is louder than a lot of survivors regular breathing, so iron will is a necessity on them... you almost end up relieved to be injured.
-
These perks are largely terrible anyway? If anything I'd say they need a buff, particularly blood warden and remember me

Which would require removing all his threat entirely.
are you suggesting his only strength is hook camping?

It has a high surface area, but extremely low relative distance. If you notice a survivor on Midwich or the Game, or even on the second story of the saloon or through the window of the coal tower, they may be technically 5 meters from you, but you need to take a 10-15 second walk to reach their location. Second-story buildings, fences, convoluted lines of railing like in Rancid Abattoir - all of these things make a map 'larger' to traverse than it really is. Shelter Woods' lack of structures makes it a straight shot from any point A to point B. Similar-sized maps like Disturbed Ward, Haddonfield, Swamp, and Gas Heaven all take more time to cover because there's buildings with narrow paths, walls, and general Stuff in the way.
Rotten Fields is the same design philosophy, but at least the killer can't see anything on 75% of that map.
Valid point, valid point. I still hate it on killer though.
-
Best way to do it imo:
1) Monitor the forums/discord/stream chat to see who the people who are most adamantly opposed to LGBT inclusion are.
2) Determine out of these people which character they main most
3) Make that character canonically LGBT, but also hilariously over the top about it.
4) ???
-
The only change bubba needs is some way to make him less efficient at hook camping tbh
-
Easiest != most powerful.
Myers is probably the simplest killer to use but also very weak.
Nurse is the most powerful but also very difficult.
If you want a balance of the two, I'd probably say Bubba; very simple and very strong. I would have said Freddy but I am yet to play him post nerf, so I have no idea how he holds up now.
However, for slightly more effort in learning to play them efficiently, Hag or Spirit are incredibly powerful and don't have the incredibly high skill ceiling of the other High tier killers.

I was surprised they didn't touch it when they reworked MacMillan, and it's one of the reasons I have so little faith in the reworks. The map's got nothing for survivors - it's highly exposed and easy to see survivors from a distance, it's got no main building, it's got barely any pallets and most of them are in unsafe loops, it's got no windows outside of the jungle gyms and the jungle gyms aren't especially chainable. I've always considered it the most killer-sided map in the game.
Its no fun for many killers either, given it has the largest surface area of any map. Its certainly the most oni-sided map in the game.

Shelter woods is the same as half of the maps in this game. Unbalanced trash for one side or another
My main complaint iosnt that it is unbalanced, undoubtedly there are maps which are far worse than this in terms of game balance.
It is that it is just horrible. Utterly depressing, uninspiring, a circular brown void of despair.

But it's really not. The Game looks way worse and plays way worse. Hadonfield and all the Badham maps are worse.
im no fan of the game for gameplay, but it is beautiful as far as its aesthetics go.
-
I find Lithe to be highly underrated, one of the few perks that can turn unsafe pallets into useful escape tools, drop the pallet, vault it, killer goes to play around it and swings but you've zipped off to a safer pallet.

Starstruck activates in the process of doing your objectives, NOED activates for failing them.
-
The fact that the shroud offering for killer separates the survivors, and the survivor ones bunch them up at spawn, shows a clear lack of understanding in the true weaknesses of killers (or rather, it does when they were first added, and they just havent been updated since)

This is honestly fascinating to me. This entire Pride charm issue and everything that's stemming from it is a very interesting (if unintentional) social experiment.
I do want to say one thing: Though, like the poster said, it doesn't affect me in the sense that I find it bothersome, I do find it kind of funny that someone like Michael Myers - or more specifically, Freddy - would have the charm on their hooks. Only because it's out of character for those guys to have morals, you know? Like "I molest and kill children but I am totally in favor of gay rights". Lol.
Again, not saying there's anything wrong with a killer putting the charm on their hooks. I have. It's just funny when you think about it. I mean picture Leatherface with full human face mask and bloody apron at a Pride march, grunting and and having no idea what's even going on. Or the Demogorgon, who presumably has no concept of human sexuality. :)
The hooks belong to the entity, who has proven his commitment to equality and diversity time and time again. Regardless of your race, gender, sexuality, age, your suffering is all the same to it :)
-
I tried it, but as it highlights the furthest totem from you, it gives you the least efficient totem cleansing path possible, and by the time you get there, the aura is gone and you cant find it anyway. I don't recommend it over detectives hunch and probably not over small game either tbh.
-
My understanding was that they were tied to dull totems, and lit when you went within proximity to them. But this means you have to leave dull totems up, which will discourage cleansing and be a indirect NOED buff. So I hope this isnt the case.
I cant imagine they are lit by default, as if every survivor took one, and the killer takes 2 hex perks, that means somebody isnt gettin a perk they brought with them. Similarly, if the killer takes 4 hex totems, one of which is haunted ground, seems like this would be a problem.

Yes i am Steam player.
- Right-Click the Dead by Daylight Application in your Steam Library
- Access Properties
- Access the "Betas" Tab
- Select "public-test" from the drop-down menu
You may need to restart steam for it to appear.

Zombies spawning slow then? Because i saw they spawning good. Tier 3 is seem bad, i do not know why people have to effort for get T3 because i did not see any different between T3 and T2.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2218017#Comment_2218017
Zombies are new mechanic, i wish they would be more useful. But they are stopping by objects so much. If they would me smarter than this, that would be perfect. Maybe we can see little changes with release date. Or maybe zombies have to be more, small maps 2, middle maps 3, big maps 4 zombies.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2218027#Comment_2218027
Tentacle seem like easly dodge and strike distance is small. But this is i just saw on stream, i did not try. So i can be wrong.
it starts off small, but even then its still enough to hit over pallets, windows and some loops. increases range with t3. Not easy to dodge at all imo, much quicker than say a hatchet or pyramid heads ranged.
-
I'd say so, his ability to negate low loops without a movement speed penalty seems pretty great and comes without a movement penalty, and the zombies pushing people off gens and locking down taller loops looks great, if not very hit and miss. Pallets are pretty useless against him, particularly in t3, and he can shred through them in t2 onwards.
I think he's going to be much stronger than people initially realise.

Starstruck is in an unusual place that it is either God like or nearly useless, depending on the killer. Nerfing it for the sake of one killer, to the detriment of the rest, seems like a bad idea to me, but at the same time, yeah, it can be pretty disgusting on nurse (or max terror radius doctor, actually).
Solution? No idea tbh.
-
Twins, they are literally designed around some of the worst (least fun) strategies in the game.
-
Wesker as killer taking a leaf from resident evil resistance's book, able to spawn other enemies such as zombies.
Unlikely, but a man can dream.
-
In competent hands, her chase power is insanely oppressive and she has pretty much no counter play. Anybody who says differently, chances are, aren't competent hands.
That said, she often attracts pretty bad players who are chasing easy wins, and contrary to popular opinion, she's not a guaranteed 4k. Which is why she shouldn't be feared as much as she is; although as a killer she is insanely strong, there's a good chance the player behind the wheels is not.
-
The hatch is an interesting dynamic and it'd be a shame to see it reduce to obsoleteness, but as it stands it is pretty unfair.
Personally, I think only pink keys should unlock the hatch and they should only be available in chests, and no longer spawn in the bloodweb. It would make them much less frequent for killers, and give rise to some more niche perks such as plunderers/appraisal.
It would also prevent everybody spamming them in their matches to use them up before they are nerfed, unless it was another stealth nerf like moris.

I feel like repairing a generator, getting an unhook, and cleansing a totem isn't really the hardest task, but I also don't think it's exactly easy to do either. And for clarification, you'd have to actually get 80 seconds of repairing in, not just be there to complete a gen. Do you think making it so you also have to be chased by the killer for X amount of time would be a good idea?
Ah I thought you meant just finishing the gen, that could be open to so much abuse 😂
-
I think the numbers could do with some tweaking; performing unhooks and finishing generators isn't terribly difficult for the effects granted, which look extremely powerful. But in general, with a bit of refinement they could be great.
