Aw man its gotten much harder since we can´t switch Killers in lobby anymore. You should have Megs, Dwights and Claudettes pretty fast just by playing LF, but I used to "snipe" the Jakes and always camp them to death till I had the masks.

You will have to bring lots of patience nowadays. Lobby dodging might take you too long, unless you are specifically looking far your last "face" to farm.

I haven’t seen many Dwights either, with Jake being much more rare ofc.

But if they had updated masks to have Feng or David, I’d probably have those by now.

  • Hotline Miami, any character.

Not a horror game, just has lots of violence and death, so it has a tiny chance but I don't have my hopes up.

  • Every new character gets 2 green outfits when they launch, but since that's basically the same date, does it really count? The Rift has plenty of green outfits, but we have yet to see anything from the Rift get into the store like normal (except Nurse's Blight outfit)

When I started playing the game, the Route 66 outfits were the most recent ones added (late september 2019). I don't think anything after that collection or even before has been lower than purple rarity.

  • You get more from each hook/gen if you actually use the offering, so there's that I guess. You can easily break even but not too much gain overall.

    0 petals: 1 gen/hook, 1000 BP from each

    1+ petals: X gens/hooks, 3000 BP from each

  • Mii Swordfighter costume as Trapper would probably be the most likely option. And that mask could look good on some other outfits as well.

  • Yeah, it would be nice to have more. I was able to get something else with the thousands of shards I already had saved though.

  • "Jack was not only a scientist, but also a scientist"

  • Solidarity. If it was 100% at max tier instead of 50% I think I could see it being a potential meta perk.

If 100 is too much for some reason, I'd settle for 70%

  • It's not that abnormal, I do the same with Team Fortress 2, not playing but keeping up with the community. And sometimes DbD, but the breaks from the game are much shorter.

  • Are you suggesting a real-time display that shows what emblems you'd have during the match? That would be useful, I'd like that idea.

  • They clearly focus on characters that are more popular, like how Yui has consistently been getting outfits, and Adam has been getting much less comparatively. Heck, Adam doesn't seem to even have his own story in the archives, based on the trailer only listing memories for Nea, Hillbilly, and Blight.

  • It wouldn't work, unfortunately.

Even outside of SWF, there would be some meta in identifying a survivor, like doing an action only survivors can do.

  • You've just convinced me that a Harry Potter chapter wouldn't be that bad. Voldemort has some potential I guess.

  • I only have 10 Adept Killer achievements, and 5 of them are because I used an indoor map offering because those tend to be worse for survivors especially at lower ranks. And one of them was from when crossplay was enabled, leading to poor matchups (I feel a little guilty for that one)

They should definitely be less than a double pip required, especially as that scales with rank. Maybe a 4K with only hooks, just to prevent mori cheese.

  • I've made it to level 70 on every rift released so far, and the grind has progressively gotten worse. In fact, I kind of regret doing this Rift and the last, but did it anyway to keep my record.

The biggest appeal in my opinion is getting all your Auric Cells back (in fact, I only paid for the 1st Rift, and have done all subsequent from the same Auric Cells). The outfits are nice but usually there's only one or two I care about.

Some ideas I have to decrease the grind:

Increase the daily XP bonus - keeps the need to play every day, but still makes things easier

Daily Rituals give 1-2 Rift fragments

Randomly generated simple challenges - kind of like Daily Rituals

  • That's a pretty poor comparison imo. The overwhelming majority of Among Us players denounce using comms to spoil the game, and I haven't even heard of friends that play with randoms in a lobby besides maybe if they're a group of 2-3.

That said, having free Bond, Kindred, Empathy, Alert, Spine Chill, Better Together, etc. is very powerful. And that's not even counting the fact that a SWF is much more likely to do gens and get timely hook saves.

  • If they made any unlicensed chapter that's 3+ years old free, that would be cool.

If that was a thing, it would only affect Doctor & Hag's chapter so far, which consoles already have by default, but would be nice if PC got it too.

  • I've been seeing a lot more ever since those common offerings to influence the hatch's spawn area.

  • Method 1: Spend bloodpoints. This is probably the easiest yet worst way because you have to go through many bloodwebs. It helps to prestige 3 , to eliminate perks and not worry about losing items from prestige later, but at that point you've spent millions of bloodpoints on 1 character.

Method 2: Perks. This one is pretty good, and you can just do it at the same time as method 1. Just use Plunderer's Instinct and get some good items, if you escape, then you can keep whatever loot you earned. Or use Pharmacy if you want to get green medkits.

Method 3: Item trades. It might be hard to find people willing to do this consistently, but you might be able to find people on discord or reddit or something. Just equip a white ward (or weaved ring for keys), trade someone in a match, and you should be good to go, regardless of dying or escaping.

  • I played SWF without comms recently, and I think it was still OP. All we had was 4 fairly-competent players and a general idea of a plan in the lobby/pregame chat.

Having someone you can trust to do gens was usually enough for a 2+ escape every game.

  • Plague is underrated as a killer, and has exceptional perks.

Jane has 1 perk worth using (Head On), if you dedicate some other slots to support it.

  • I'm pretty bad at killer tbh, got any tips because I still have to get that rank 1 achievment : '(

  • It would be cool if the animation was just 1 kick with Brutal Strength. That doesn't necessarily mean it has to increase in speed too, but that would be a welcome change too.

  • Giving bloodpoints for recovering on the ground while slugged.

Even something as harmless as that, there's 2 complaints that I could think of, not giving enough points, or being in a category like alturism instead of survival.

  • Sorry for bumping this discussion, but since I only started that particular challenge today, I wanted to share my experience.

Maybe I'm trying to go through it too quickly, but so far my tactics have been 1: equip Rancor and snipe the obsession at the end or 2: tunnel the obsession while using Nemesis, tunnel someone else when they become the obsession.

Neither method is very fun, I feel terrible for doing it. And I'm positive the survivor in that situation has even less fun that round.

Honestly, challenges that aren't master ones and are big arbitrary numbers should be passive if they're like this so frequently.

  • The grind is too much. I still have about 10 levels left, so I'll be real busy the next 2 weeks.

The challenges never cover enough distance, and the games while attempting challenges don't cover the difference either.

I know this is a personal thing, and some won't be like this, but the burnout is making me quit all of DbD as soon as I reach the max level. The break between rifts feels nice though.

  • This is a video game series, not a movie, but Hotline Miami. Any character, but preferably Jacket.

  • Is this for real? I haven't heard about it and I'm a big TF2 fan. Then again, VNN does make clickbaity videos occasionally.

  • He's Scottish, right? I could see a kilt & a bonnet hat being an outfit for the Blight.

  • He's pretty good. His static blast is free tracking within 32 meters (actually it's whole terror radius, but 32 default)

If you can time the regular shocks well, you can make a survivor scream and then hit them before they can drop a pallet or fast vault something.

And the madness is good slowdown, (on lower ranked players) plus the occasional screams will offer additional tracking.

  • Aim to get stalk people to 90% or more, especially if there's more than one survivor in the area, and you can save someone stalked for later while chasing the other.

You can't be revealed while stalking & leaning from cover (the category is called Hidden Stalker)

Hitting someone will will make their stalk meter go back to 0, but it's better to get the hit if you're gonna get revealed anyway. If you have power recharge addons (chewed pen, address book, matchbook) it might be better to get your power back and quickly finish the stalk to make them exposed.

  • Trapper's addons unequip themselves after every game, while other killers will have the same addons selected again, as long as you have more of them in your inventory. As far as I know, they're the only one to have that happen.

Maybe they do have special treatment?

  • Clown has the best lore. Born in the 1930s, and starts with animals, then moves to kidnapping and killing humans. Then spends decades hopping between travelling circuses and carnivals. Since the Clown is clearly aging, there's plenty of room for 50s nostalgia, or other retro stuff like 70s/80s.

  • I would support this feature even if it was less than 50 percent of an item's value!

The amount of mist offerings would make me rich, even if they were only sold for 20% of bloodweb value.

  • If the stakes are high, like someone on a hook, and another slugged at the same time, I won't heal them if they haven't recovered. If there's no immediate threat, I'll just bite the bullet and heal them.

  • Prestiging should give a permanent Bloodweb discount on that character, that stacks for each level of prestige.

Maybe a 666 discount for every Prestige, so at P3, that character would get everything roughly 2000 points cheaper.

It'd be nice if it was an even 1000 discount, but I can't see that happening because then every brown item would be free.

I swear, these hackers must be paid or have an agenda, they are extremely dedicated to this.

Normally I would be doubtful, but there's a few things that make me believe someone has it out for this game. Like that time someone paid for a reddit advertisement saying DbD will never be balanced.

  • I would 100% use one if they made one on Deathslinger.

  • Survivors that don't recover on the ground, not even a little.

Sometimes the killer slugs for the 4k and we're actually able to bounce back from that since they can't find the last person. But if they don't recover, those extra seconds could get you spotted while the killer patrols around the slug.

  • Off the Record (Zarina perk) is also better than Babysitter. Although they technically have different effects, they have the same goal, making the unhooked person get away from any danger.

And BT is better than both of them anyway.

  • Reason 1: Bill is a free character. Same energy as baby Dwight or a Meghead

Reason 2: they came to DbD from Left 4 Dead and want to be Bill. Can't really blame them since those games are great and Bill is epic.

Reason 3: male character and loud breathing/injured makes them slightly easier to track

Reason 4: they are new and their friend told them that Unbreakable & BT are great perks

  • They've said before, that they don't plan to change it because some people prefer having less noise popups that level 1 has.

I think the majority would rather have the most efficient thing though, so it's kind of silly. We should just be able to choose any perk tiers tbh.

  • Autohaven maps aren't that bad for killers, except maybe Blood Lodge

  • I would love this addition, but it would never be added because of toxicity issues.

Imagine getting death threats for failing a skillcheck on a co-op generator.

  • A chapter is just a killer and a survivor bundled together, and the survivor gets an exclusive (but usually insignificant) cosmetic.

One more thing to note, a $6.99 for the chapter is slightly cheaper than buying the 2 characters individually. (sales are frequent so you can even get it cheaper than $6.99)

  • I hope we finally get a robot character.

Specifically a Victorian-style automaton, which looks vaguely human but creepy.

  • The Left Behind chapter/paragraph could see an expansion

Bill is really great, but there's 7 other L4D survivors that are loved, they could at least become legendary outfits (they could use the grunts of pain from the original games if it's too much work for something else)

  • I wouldn't mind it being free at all. It already feels like a freemium game with the massive grind and the amount of DLC.

However, if it went free the toxicity and hackers/cheaters/bots would skyrocket, which would be a very bad thing.

  • We're left with a cliffhanger at the end of Level 2, and I never look at the lore leaks so it's quite suspenseful.

This might be a wild prediction, but I think his grandmother will return safely, because there's 10 entries total and what else will they have if Philip is all alone for 6 entries?

  • I think they're pretty great, but Yui was released the chapter before and they stole the show, even with the buffer between chapters.

The backstory is pretty long winded and unnecessary, but the fact that they're close to the killer from their chapter is cool. (and they're not even a licensed character)

As for looks, I'm not a fan of the hair, and only 2 of the other options look good imo.
